Orleans

ORLEANS IN CONCERT: Veteran pop-rockers Orleans have pleased generations of fans with their lush vocal harmonies, lockstep guitar leads, and funky keyboards. In concert the band brings their classic sounds to life, treating fans to smile-inducing vibes that transport them straight back to the sunny ‘70s. As audiences rock out to the nostalgic hits, each member masterfully nails the instrumental breakdowns and catchy choruses of favorites like “Still the One”, “Dance with Me”, and “Love Takes Time”. Orleans remains one of the most fun and refreshing bands from the ‘70s, and ticket buyers are encouraged to bring an 8-track mentality as they sing along to their groovy tunes on tour.

Orleans was great. They were funny and friendly. If you get the chance to see them, go!

You know how you sometimes see an 'oldies' band and they just don't quite make it? This was NOT the case with Orleans. We had waited for years for them to come West and finally caught them in Las Vegas at the Golden Nugget. They did an extended set, even acknowledging a special request by us for the song 'Sails'....just made our year! The venue was perfect, the tickets priced right, the sound engineering as it should be and the band was fabulous!

Ambrosia as always put on an excellent show particularly backing Stephen Bishop and Bill Champlain. They did not miss a note and provided excellent musical accompaniment and background vocals. I would go see another Ambrosia and Friends anytime. I wish I could say the same for Orleans. They seemed as if they have not rehearsed these songs they have been playing for years. The songs lagged, vocals and guitar solos were off. They did get better as they went along but they were very disappointing.

I grew up listening to and following The Todd Hobin Band around Central NY. Anybody from this area that grew up in the 70s and 80s knows this band. The only thing different back then was they had long, dark hair! The hair color and length may have changed, but the music sounds as good now as it did back in the 70s... maybe even better! Orleans sounded just as fantastic as they did as well. Great music from two fantastic bands, it was a rockin' night!

All three of these bands played well-known hits that are wonderful to hear. They were laid-back and good with the audience. The songs bring back a lot of good memories from hearing them on radio when I was a kid. It was neat to see them play together and back each other up.

The "Back to 76" show was great. Heard all the songs we loved to hear in college and were entertained by more recent songs as well. Sound was good and you could hear the singers. John Ford Coley was quite the entertainer by regaling the audience with a story for each song. We were surprised this concert was not a sell out. You all don't know what you've missed. Hope they all come back to Daytona.

Sound was too loud, this is geared for older people and we don't like being shot our of our seats with noise. First group was goo, second group was awful loud instruments we left half way through their act. We are usually last to leave a concert. Total waste of $100

The concert started out well with John Ford Coley, but the farther into the event the lowder the sound got......now I've been to lots of concerts but when the sound levels got to where you couldn't hear the music for sound. Way too loud for the size of the auditorium. We were surprised at the number of people that left before the concert was over.

John Ford Coley is a nice guy, but his performance was below average. In his defense the sound man for him and Orleans was horrible. The bass and drums drowned out the lead guitar sound making it sound like a muddled mess. Orleans was a little, better but again was below par because of the poor sound mixing. Firefall was great. This was the second time seeing them in the past year. The vocals were spot on and overall sound quality was superb.

This show was like walking back to the 70's. Music was great, and the artists' banter with the crowd was a hoot. Finale's were probably the best part. Artists were very accommodating with photos and autographs. Overall a great show.

We certainly enjoy the night. John Ford Coley was good and it was nice to reminiscent. I could have listened to Orleans all night long. What a band! We weren't familiar with all of Orleans songs, but really enjoyed all of their music.

This was a nice evening out... to zoom 'back' 40 years was surprising but wonderful. The groups were hopping and the crowd appreciative. Clean, safe and convenient. Recommended!

Then entire evening was filled with great music played by some great musicians. Just had a wonderful appreciation for a group of guys, let's call them seasoned, who could still jam and be full of energy to offer their muscial talents to us.

Although the venue was far from packed, we enjoyed a fantastic show. They sounded great live - and we were happy to be in the 3rd row. Played all their hits and some new ones - really impressed these guys are still rocking' and sounding so good.
