I would rate this show a 5 but for going to Mom's Ball in NOLA during Mardi Gras. Now that is the 5 star show. They need to be brought through Houston regularly as there are a lot of Louisiana people that knew them years ago beofe they moved to the Houston area. Opening acts could be improved on.

Although we enjoyed the Radiators and the energy of the Zydeco band, we were extremely impressed with the performance by the opening band, Low Man's Joe. Their songs were tuneful and their performance was dynamic. The audience reaction was fun to watch as many screamed, danced and whistled. This is a band to watch.

After 1st seeing this group in the 70's for free on wednesday nights at siebenkettel's italian restaurant on elysian fields, i am truly amazed that they still rock & are so amazingly tihg!!!!! Unbelievable show, 2 hours for a $10 ticket! I brought 6 friends who were totally blown away....Why this show was not even mentioned, much less promoted as a must see in the local newspapers is WAY, TOTALLY beyond human, or extraterrestrial, comprehension!

Please say this wasn't their last show in NYC. Maybe they'll change their minds. As always, great tunes played well with enthusiasm. Thanks for the memories, guys! Keep smiling.

The Radiators really played well this past Friday at the Best Buy theater in NYC. Its something about NYC that the Radiators just love. You can feel the energy when they get into a jam! When they broke into a smooth melody singing "On Broadway" the crowd went nuts. They also stole the show at the Crawfish Fest in NJ on Saturday! They were jamming with Tad Benoute and three other Trombone players! Incredible!!! We will miss those guys!

First time at the best buy theatre. Loved the venue, will try to see another show there. The Radiators show was amazing and bittersweet at the same time. Wish they could have played all night.

It is sad to say but even more terrible to write that this will be the last review of a concert by The Radiators, a New Orleans based rock/funk/soul/blues band that has been doing this crazy thing for 30+ years. It has been an amazing ride for me as I am sure it was for them. Never cracked the arena rock plateau but all the better for its rabid fan base. Seeing them in venues such as Irving Plaza, The Bayou in Mt. Vernon and the various festivals they have played thru the years in the Northeast has made it ever sweeter yet now bittersweet. As always, I enjoyed the show at The Best Buy Theater with a smile on my face throughout the whole show. Highlights include "Suck The Head", "River Run", "If Your Heart Aint In It", and their most popular tune, "Like Dreamers Do". They even broke into a small portion of "On Broadway" which sent the crowd in a tizzy, being that they were on Broadway! The journey has ended, at least for this iteration, as I cannot believe that Ed Volker, Dave Malone, Camille Baudoin, Reggie Scanlan and Frank Bua will never return in one form or another. All I can say is Let The Red Wine Flow and thanks for the good times! Peace

What an awesome surprise! The Jannus is a fantastic, New Orleans-y courtyard in the heart of downtown St. Pete. We arrived early and were absolutely blown away by the first band, No Money Down, who set our standards sky high for the rest of the night. It turns out that although The Radiators are a stellar, legendary group with lots of energy and great musicianship, the No Money Down Band was loaded with personality, charisma and talent. Loved the overall vibe, the friendly and funky atmosphere and the extraordinary music. The sound was clear and well mixed. We'll be back!

Can't beat a free Rads show at one of the best venus in the area. Camile was on fire and tore it up. Too boot Trombone Shorty and Tab Benoit were playing just down the street in Vinoy Park for the Tampa Bay Blues Fest. It was a New Orleans music weekend in St. Pete. Thanks to whoever made the free show possible.

they rocked, and rocked and rocked, as if they knew it was last so fla show and they just kept on playing, they did a 2 set show w/ 4 song encore. it was bittersweet tho. i wanted to be there but i didn't want to be there. cause i knew if i was there it was indeed their last show. they really seemed to be having a great time on stage playing off the crowd of mostly younger folks, not the usual for this band. I was glad to see that tho, means more and more young folks getting into live music and jambands.

Guitarist looks like a combination of Donald Rumsfeld and Terry Bradshaw, between him and the bassist looks like a Dockers commercial 25th anniversary reunion (and lets not even discuss the keyboardist who looks like he's ready to board the little yellow bus), which is what makes it so surprising when they rock the friggin' house with more testosterone than a grumpy silverback. I hope they rethink the farewell angle and I loved the "sympathy for the devil" encore, made the Stones version sound like it was done by a bunch of old men.

This was the best show I have seen in years. I have seen the Radiators at Tipitians, NO Jazz Fest and other venues but this was the best. Great viewing from the floor level of the Bluebird! Sweeeeet Show. Sorry to hear this is the last time I will get to see the Rads! Fish head music will live forever.........

First off, there's nothing like seeing a show at the Bluebird. every spot on the floor is great. the Rads were fantastic. They played two full sets. interspersed some nice covers - stones, neil diamond, allmans along with their own steller material. we're going to miss ya boys!

Another great show as the Radiators wind it down. The 02/12 show was truely phonominal. Great song selection and high energy. These guys will really be missed, but don't think Ed V. can be swayed otherwise.

If you missed it, those that were there will tell you this show was nothing less than outrageous! Not one still body in the house as I noticed big smiles were abundant on all the faces moving to the tunes. They brought the attitude and we enjoyed Friday night at the Bluebird. They still got it - THANK YOU

The Radiators have such a good reputation of being an awesome live band so when I saw they were playing I thought "I have to go see them". The show was a total disappointment and they were HORRIBLE! The timing thoughout songs was terrible, the keyboardist was weak at best and his solos were so basic a child could play them. The bass player was almost non-existant and looked as if we was going to fall alseep at any minute. You couldn't hear the lead guitarist's solos at all and when I looked over at the sound man there was no one even standing near the soundboard...Unbelievable!!! The first set was just horrific and the second tolerable at best. The Rythym/Lead guitarist and singer had some tasty leads and vocals but the band as a whole was terrible. The fans seemed to be easilly impressed at any solo without even listensing to the content. Their farewell tour couldn't have come soon enough. What a waste of money.

The Radiators were great. Very tight. However HOB not so much. Compensated lousy acoustics by turning up the volume. Unable to leave credit card at on bar and use any other bar. In this day and age, I should be able to keep a tab running for the entire venue not just one bar. Unless you were in the center section up of the seating area, you had a limited view. On a positive note, the staff were extremely helpful and responsive.

We are 30 year long fans of the band, The Radiators, and see them often at Tipitina's in New Orleans. We have not seen them in Houston since Rockefellers closed, and thought we should see the last Houston show, held at House of Blues, since the band is calling it quits in June. We loved the opening act, The Revivalists, but it became apparent that HOB runs a very tight ship when the openers played exactly half an hour. Not 31 minutes, not 29 minutes, 30 minutes exactly. No encore, even tho the sparse crowd wanted it. The Rads came out and played a staid set, not one of their typical kick butt sets, and one encore. We were out of there before 11PM. MInd you, this is a band that regularly plays until 3AM at Tips, and gives many encores. I believe HOB had an iron hand on the bands and their play lists, and allotted stage time in a miserly fashion. The seating is comfy on the mezzanine, but unless you are in the dead center in the first 6 rows or so, you will not see much of the performers. We likely will not attend another show in this venue.
