CTTE2013
The long awaited return of SAGA. The Band in TOP form provided us with a Stellar show. One that ended with a Calgary White Hat Presentation to the Band ! ( Now Honorary Calgarians ) I've seen 20 or so shows at the Deerfoot Inn. This one was hands down The BEST !

This is my third time seeing the band and they have been top notch every time. First time they blew Rush, yes Rush, off the stage. I'm a big Rush fan too! Back in the Worlds Apart days they put on one of my top 3 shows to this day, at the Calgary Jubilee Auditorium. I remember Michael Sadler (singer) saying they didn't think they had that many friends, Jubilee was mostly full during a Blizzard and now to the Casino circuit and it was mostly full as well. It was 30 plus years but they didn't disappoint. Good Crowd, Lots of Great Songs including some new ones from their latest SAGACITY. I hope they return soon. I'll see them any chance I get.

I am a fan....have been for a long time! The boyz showed that well seasoned rockers are the best! The show was excellent ,and is a great start to their 2015 tour. The crowd was into the concert from the start, and the band fed off that energy with a spring in their step, and energy that proved them the premier act that they are! If you get a chance to see them in 2015 ....DO IT......DONT BE LATE !

Saga's first show with singer Michael Sadler back, and it was simply great. All of the band members were clearly having a great time, even to the point of things getting a touch ragged on a couple of songs - a real event considering how tight Saga have always been on stage. But Sadler's voice is clearly still in great shape, and he sang up a storm. The sound was excellent (except for the snare drum sound - what gives there?) and it must be noted that the always excellent Ian Crichton (an absurdly under rated/overlooked guitarist) was absolutely on fire. I've seen Saga a bunch of times over the years, and he's always spot on, but his performance during Thursday night's show at the Sound Academy was absolutely ferocious.

The charisma of this group is unbelievable, you can tell they have been playing for a long time and they actually enjoy being with each other's company, which is something very hard to find. Music wise, I challenge anybody to beat the guitar / synth simultaneous solos, and Michael sounds better than ever. Definitely you should not let this opportunity pass by

I never got to see Saga back when they were "popular" and they haven't toured the US in years so I was surprised to see them finally announce a show right in our backyard. They did not disappoint! Michael Sadler sounds amazing as ever and the band is well-oiled live machine. Great setlist for the first time back in the States in forever!

one word to describe the saga show on sunday - AMAZING. it still amazes me that this band never broke it big in the U.S. like rush did.. The muscianship in SAGA is unparalled. guitarist Ian Crichton is a monster on stage and is one of the best players I have ever seen.. It was the first show w/ orginal vocalist Michael Sadler back in the fold from his 3 year absence..He was magnificent.. Never missed a note, stage presence was fantastic.. Jim gilmour - keys/ jim crichton - bass & keys and drummer brian doerner were simply outsatanding.. I can't remember the last time saga came to buffalo, but it seems like 20 years..and i am watching a band that sells out venues in europe in a small theatre with 500 friends.. SAGA played like they were in front of 20,000 people. IF YOU EVER GET A CHANCE TO SEE SAGA, DO NOT MISS IT..

Both Saga's and Navigator's performance on 5/15/11 were awesome and look forward to seeing both when they again perform. Anyone who has not been to the Rapids Theatre is missing something. What a great venue to watch a concert. Kudos to the Owners of the Rapids Theatre.

It's been a long time coming to see Saga in the States, but it was WELL worth the wait. After all this time, I think Saga is undoubtably better than ever. Michael Sadler sounded incredible, the Crichton brothers were obscenely good, Jim Gilmour was ridiculous, and Brian Doerner was insanely good as well. All were filled with energy and looked like they were having a blast. It's almost INHUMAN for them to be as brilliant as they are after all these years, and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to see this incredible talent assembled once again. If you get an opportunity......DON'T MISS THIS!!!!!
