The Sonics

The Sonics

THE SONICS IN CONCERT:Garage rock pioneers The Sonics have been firing on all cylinders ever since they debuted their scrappy, hard-charging sound in the early ‘60s. They’ve been cited as an influence by everyone from Nirvana to Bruce Springsteen, and fans lucky enough to see them tear through fuzzed-out rock nuggets like “The Witch” and “Have Love, Will Travel” will have no trouble seeing why. In early 2015 the classic Sonics lineup released This Is The Sonics, their first album in more than 40 years and a cause for celebration among their legions of fans. With their pounding drums, heavily distorted guitars, and h the owling vocals of beloved singer Gerry Roslie, The Sonics treat ticket buyers to a barreling, adrenaline-filled concert experience every time they take the stage.

This show was excellent. If you have a chance to go see Barrence Whitfield and the Savages or the Sonics GO SEE THEM - especially if you have a chance to see them both at one show!

Archetypical Northwest rockers the Sonics played their brand of in your face heavy duty rock and roll just as they did in the sixties, sounding as modern and exciting as ever. Barrence Whitfield and the Savages did their brand of R&B inspired mayhem undiluted by any trend or fashion. BW has pipes like none other - just try keeping up with him on a single song!
