Eric Essix

GREAT show! When you are a 30+ year establish artist, there aren't really any words. Guest band Roman Street and Eric Essex + Band stole the night! If you haven't attended any of their performances, please put them on your MUST SEE List! The Lyric is a beautiful venue. They did a great job in restoring the place. Also, it is true that ALL seats are GOOD seats. I can't wait to go to another show there!

This was a great concert . The opening band Roman Street is a must see. I have seen them 4 times previous , always outstanding. Eric Essex and his band sounded amazing. They were having a good time on stage . I would highly recommend both bands.

Both artists were excellent but sound could have been better for Essix. Purchased cd's for both artists but trying for a signing proved challenging for Roman Street but was glad they hung around longer. Venue was excellent.

The Lyric is a beautiful venue. This was my first time there. Everything moved well, and sound was great. I m a big fan of both Eric Essix and Roman Street . They complimented each other well. Not just their music but their personalities as well. Their new music was very good and I bought both of their cds. Can t wait for Eric Essix Dec 29th concert.

25 albums in 30 years has not gotten the recognition that Eric Essix deserves. The concert was absolutely a success and I got more than what I bargained for, It is so wonderful to know that Birmingham is blessed with such talent! We don't have to go any farther than our home grown Berkley trained Eric Essix to hear the best of contemporary jazz and easy listening. He has crossed all borders and is a great crossover musician, His choice of members of his band is impressive as they are all impressive in their own right. We need more concerts of this type in Birmingham and as Eric spoke of the old Grundy's Music Hall, we need this kind of venue in Birmingham again to attract sophisticated tasteful audiences. In the meantime, the Lyric is a beautifully reconditioned venue with great acoustics and charm. It was a night to remember!

The 1st hour & a half opening band played too long. All songs began to sound the same. I came to see Eric Essix and thought he would never come on!!
