I'm now an offical Steph Head having travel both to LA and NYC to see the Sexy Liberal Show. The VERY best thing about the shows besides the talent and the BEAUTIFUL venue was the fact that the news informs the comedy; so the set is always full of new material. It was awesome to see ALL of the Sexy Liberal comic performers. And the "Meet and Grope"--bet your performers don't step out and allow the general public to have a hands on meet and greet. If you want to laugh yourself 'til you hurt, love political comedy of the liberal bent, performers who are down w/ the latest news, and performers who really care for their fans, then you CANNOT MISS THIS SHOW. I've already bought tix for the San Jose show (thanks to Roland and Ticket Master, WOOT!) Go get 'em! I did.

My husband and I went to see the Sexy Liberal Comedy Tour in Chicago over the weekend. We thought the performances by John Fugelsang and Hal Sparks were spot-on, thought-provoking and pee-in-your-pants hilarious. Stephanie Miller's act was lewd and inappropriate without being all that funny. A shame. But, the show was worth it for the guys (and the blues band that opened the show).

This was my second Sexy Liberal Show, and I loved it each time. John Fugelsang and Hal Sparks are the smartest "funny guys" I've ever seen! Stephanie is beautiful, delightful and frankly, a little disturbed (in a good way!) I will always come to this show, whenever it comes to town!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're a liberal and you're looking for a good laugh about the idiocy of the conservative party at this point in time, this is the show for you. People of all ages attended and laughter was the common denominator among everyone. Totally without the meanness of Rush Limbaugh or any of the far right commentators, this show still makes its point. Highly recommended.

OK-mostly very funny so that is the key point especially for a rah-rah liberal affirmation rant. Insightful and smart comedy but the lack of a cohesive, integrated professional production was on full display. The incredible AllStar Blues Band was oddly interupted/run over my some canned announcement of the show's first performer. Having the band stay on stage I think was the result....they were not sure to get off or stay on and having the back up singers faces in the background of the performer displayed on the large screen was bizarre. Many of the same/similar obervations by the comics. Sometimes you need to listen to the other performers show to not stumble through the same stuff. Sadly and lastly, Stephanie Miller's inability to read her hand written notes, requesting lighting was just so very disapointing. Amateurish at best.

It was an OK show; some good political jokes, but there were no real sidesplitters. Hal Sparks ended up being the highlight, I thought, but I actually found myself getting bored with Stephanie Miller near the end. My wife loves listening to Stephanie on the radio, but even she admitted Stephanie wasn't as funny onstage as she thought she would be.

I thought Hal and John were great. Full of energy, quick witted and funny. Once Stephanie came out she was disappointing. I had looked forward to this for months, as I listen to her regularly on the radio. Her performance was lack luster to say the least. No energy, sat on her stool and was constantly looking at her notes. To be honest it was tired and repetitive of what I have heard on her shows. She seemed unprepared or maybe just bored. Totally disappointed.

Everyone on stage seemed confused about what was going to happen next. Stephanie Miller did not come on until 9:30 and seemed confused and possibly drunk. She shuffled through a notebook for 20 minutes to come up with some old jokes, and that was her entire contribution. The other two guys were better and performed their monologues with passion, but I paid to see Stephanie. What a waste of time and money.

Enjoyed Jon Fugelsang and Hal Sparks, but was so disappointed with Stephanie. She seemed unable to remember what she was talking about. I didn't find her funny at all. I thought that with Jon and Hal leading up to Stephanie, that Stephanie would be even funnier, and as the "headline" act, be better than each of them, but she was not. I also didn't like her continued use of the "f" word. Sometimes its warranted, but in her uses, most of the time it was not. Sorry that I spent the cash on this one.

I've been out to see quite a few comedians this year and this was easily one of the best shows of all. The Sexy Liberal crew are all very funny and each has their own unique style. Stephanie herself was great and the segment at the end where all of the comedians and the special guest, Rob Reiner was priceless. It really felt like listening to the radio show but watching it live as it was happening. Overall a great show that capped a great night.

I'm now a confirmed John Fugelsang and Hal Sparks fan! I Iike Aiesha Taylor but, unfortunately, I thought that the star of the show was lazy. Her material was small, thin and did not show more than a little bit of effort. Too bad! Her show on Current/XM is a wow and I try to catch it all the time but her attempt here was not up to that. Thanks to Rob Reiner for all he does and his quick wit but he was just an after thought to the show. Will I go again? I will if John and Hal are there. Meanwhile, I will watch John on Current every Friday.

Family fun for all, when the family is comprised of adults. The Chicago All Stars Blues Band opened with featured vocalists. Excellent! There is still nothing like live music. Mom and Dad were dancing in the aisle. Kids had to tell them to simmer down. John Fugelsang and Hal Sparks were so very funny. Our sides split and abdominals cramped. Stephanie Miller, the Grand Dame of the evening, was her lovely, sexy self. If you know her from her radio show, you will know what I mean. Quick witted, cheeky, naughty, raunchy, personable, she was well rested after a week off and up to date on current events. We all just loved it, loved it, loved it. I would definitely attend a tour again when and wherever possible.

There were basically five parts to this show: The Chicago Blues Allstars (or a similar name), John Fuegelsang, Hal Sparks, Stephanie Miller, and a brief panel with the three comedians. The band played music while people were being seated, and a little bit after most people had taken their seats. They were competent musicians, played some fun songs, and had some singers performing with them. Nothing amazing, but certainly a decent opener. As for the actual point of the show, the comedy, I feel that the comedians performed in reverse order of their talent/ability. That is, John Fuegelsang performed first and was the best, while Stephanie performed last and was the least entertaining. John is the wittiest, and has some really intelligent jokes, and comes across as the one speaking the most honest, deepest truth. Hal Sparks is also quite intelligent and makes good points. His style is a bit different than John's, using more physical comedy and story-telling. Stephanie also makes some great points but isn't quite as suave as the others; she had notes written down on a piece of paper to her side while she was sitting and looked at them a decent bit. Basically, she lacked the showmanship of the other performers. The brief panel at the end was good, getting to talk about some issues with members of the audience and with each other.

John and Hal delivered smart, well-thought-out, fast-paced and funny performances. Spot-on. As for our beloved and beautiful Stephanie, what's with the crib notes? Her constant referral to papers on a musician stand were distracting, but furthermore seemed irrelevant, as her material seemed entirely made up on the spot. While we love her quck wit and spontenaity on the radio, it didn't work so well on the stage. We expected more than just random blasts of liberal jargon in that setting, considering the price of tickets and the long ride to get there. Still love you, Stephanie, but henceforth we'll stick to the radio.

Chicago's Sexy Liberal tour stint was a fun night. First, Mama Stephanie,John, and Hal are all as sexy as they look on the album cover -- how Mama stays in such shape at 50 is a mystery. As for the show itself, my husband and I loved John Fugelsang. He was funny, insightful, and totally entertaining. My husband said that he alone was worth the price of a ticket, and I have to agree. Hal seemed a little off, like he was having trouble concentrating. He was still funny, don't get me wrong -- his bit about the dinosaurs uniting warring peoples on earth was hysterical. But he didn't hit a bullseye every time. Mama did not have a brilliant night. I hate to say that, because I adore Stephanie, but she was even more distracted than Hal. She kept looking at her notes but seemed to have trouble deciding what to say. I guess if I were touring and doing a daily radio show like she is I'd be pretty tired and have difficulty focusing too. She was funny, though -- her example of the supposed process of Limbaugh in the bedroom was a riot. All in all, my husband and I were both glad we went, but we were a bit disappointed that Hal and Stephanie weren't more focused. Still, anyone who loves Mama's show should get to the Sexy Liberal tour. You'll be glad you did.

I thought the two male comics were awesome. I was excited to hear Stephanie, but her performance consisted of her stumbling over a spiral notebook full of notes. She seemed to lose her place a lot, and there was no flow to her act. I was very disappointed. I would gladly see the males again but would pass on stephanie.

I had no idea what to expect from this show, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The two guys, Hal Sparks and John Fugelsang (?) were terrific--I plan to watch for them on line and on TV. They had us rolling in laughter. Stephanie was good, but her referring to notes took a lot away from her performance. The question and answer part at the end fell flat, but I think that was due more to the questions than anything else. Overall, a great evening for those like minded individuals!

It was scary to hear and see the hate in the audience with those "comedians" on stage whipping the crowd into a frenzy. Rather than using humor to relay a message, foul language (which does have a place in comedy), bashing of Christians and the new testament were the norm. Republicans were labeled a greedy homophobes unwilling to yield to the demands of the 99%. I wonder if those on stage are sharing the fruits of their labor with all the other liberals, I doubt it. If anything, this show has opened my eyes to the reality that there may be two, three, four or more sides to every story. That hate and inciting a crowd are not the answer. I certainly will investigate other candidates in the election. If the Republicans find out about this show, I would suspect they would attend the event in droves to disrupt this so called comedy.

I should start by saying that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Stephanie Miller and the gang on the radio and FSTV. I try to watch or listen every day, and consider myself a major fan. Maybe I had built it up too much in my head, and my expectations were over the top. Perhaps the fact that I read only RAVE REVIEWS online made me think it was going to be better than it was. Maybe it was simply a bad show (we've all had them), or I just didn't know what to expect. The format was fun--Stephanie did some "stand-up," then John Fugelsang, and finally Frangela. Basically, it was not interactive, rather three different "sets," if you will. The show was long enough, but that was basically it, aside from the reappearance of Stephanie at some point, and a little (very little) Q & A at the end. In any event, here's what it was like. Not unexpectedly, the whole show had the same silly right-wing-bashing flavor as the radio show, but without the interaction between the on-air personalities and the callers (which I think is a big part of the fun of the show). Most of the audience absolutely loved it, hooting and squawking at all the right moments. But Stephanie seemed uncomfortable on stage. Her schtick didn't quite work and she seemed unrehearsed, chuckling nervously after every punchline while she turned the page and glanced over at the stand holding her notes. It wasn't typical stand-up material--it was more of a cross between slapstick site-gags and silly impressions, all of it very "blue" (gratuitous? perhaps). But I guess maybe Stephanie isn't really known for her standup, and maybe she simply wasn't "on." I'm sure carrying a morning show on the radio makes it all but impossible to also do nighttime shows scattered throughout the year. This is really an undertaking, and I imagine it has a lot to do with why Stephanie doesn't do more of these. Maybe it had been a while, and she was rusty? I don't know--I'm just guessing, but I want to think it's usually much more polished. John Fugelsang, as always, was smart and funny, and he's clearly comfortable doing stand-up. If you've listened to him as much as I have, you won't hear a lot of new material, but he's so smart and interesting (not to mention cute) that it doesn't matter. Frangela (Francis and Angela, best friends) were quite hilarious. I always like listening to them on the show, and I found them to be the most engaging, at least in this venue. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that they have each other on stage--their repartee was truly original and gut-wrenchingly funny. They are classic stand-up comics.

If you want to hear an hour of tired Donald Trump jokes, followed by Stephanie rubbing herself on audience members (once? Okay. Three times? Stupid!) this is the show for you. All of her "jokes" have been said by countless others ad nauseum. There was nothing fresh or innovative about her schtick. Fugelsang was okay; certainly better than Stephanie. Why he chose to let her fiddle with his package (twice, no less!) is beyond me. It wasn't funny; it was pathetic and contrived. The saving grace to the show was the fabulous duo of Frangela. They were fantastic! They should be the headliners and have their own show. They were on point, interesting and hilarious. Loved them! Ditch Stephanie Miller and her weird body rubbing, flinging herself on the stage, and old, tired, used "jokes."

While this is not necessarily a show I'd recommend taking a first date, one's colleagues, or the in-laws to unless you know what their tolerance for political sarcasm & salty language, I absolutely loved it, and so did everyone around me in the venue. One great thing about the SLCT is that I don't think you'd be lost if you weren't a regular listener of the Stephanie Miller Show, even though there were a couple of references to that content... this show can stand alone on its own merits, and did I mention it's freakin' FUNNY?!? I hope they decide to tour again... I will definitely be there if they do, & might just drive to a show within 150 miles if they didn't make a stop in MN. I paid for "Meet & Greet" tickets, which got me an amazing seat, but having the get-together with the performers in the center aisle up against the stage was less than ideal... There just wasn't enough room for everyone to be able to get a chance to mingle, and this resulted in traffic jams; more than once, I saw one of the performers backed up against something, looking rather trapped. I think they should have either opened up another private room, used the stage itself, or adjourned to a more hospitable venue nearby. If you missed the show, BUY the album electronically when it comes out... The last one was not only a best seller, but well worth the money. I had purchased last year's audio, and couldn't wait to see the show live... the body language adds a lot to the experience, as well as some of the audience participation, and the panel q & A can be really fun as well. If you live in MN, I highly recommend seeing a show at the State Theatre... It's a gorgeous 1920's venue with good acoustics, & the size is perfect; most seats are decent. The Sheldon in Red Wing is lovely as well.

It was all I hoped for (except the two hours went by toooooo fast !) I tried to count the Marcus Bachmann jokes, but lost count. (good thing I wasn't doing shots for each joke, or I'd still be wasted)

We had such a great time. All 3 of the performers were outstanding but the people in the crowd were so friendly. We met some cool people and went out after the show. It's great to be around so many like minded people. Meeting Steph, John, and Carlis after the show was icing on the cake. They made us feel so welcome and they were so warm and friendly. It was such a fun night!

I just went to the one in ft lauderdale. Maybe I expected to much but for the 160.00 for two people I just expected more. I've always wanted to see Stephanie and I'm happy I did but it was not even two hours long. It was an 1hr and 40 min. They were 20 minutes late coming on. Stephanie herself was barely on and she read right off a script. Carlos was hilarious thank goodness for him I love her radio show but I kinda feel cheated :(

Bought the tickets on a whim - had not heard of this Tour before. Two of the four comedians were OK, but you would do just as well, if not much better, for much less in any of the City's comedy clubs. Stephanie Miller was just awful - she was reading her act from notes on a music stand, punctuated by irritaing fake guffaws. One pays money for this?? The second part of the show was nothing but a (poor) Obama pep rally (with "special" guest Rob Reiner). I am so pleased that Obama has won, but if I'm going to a show, I want a show. Besides, by definition, they were preaching to the choir - what's the point of that.

Stephanie Miller and cohorts keep me sane amid all the unfair and unbalanced reporting that is on TV. Four of the smartest, sexiest and funniest people who tell the truth.

When we arrived at the theater, we were upgraded from Lower Balcony to the Loge - which meant a much better view. I haven't laughed this hard in a long time - I know that is a cliche, but it is true. I have been referencing the comedians from the Sexy Liberal tour all week. It was a perfect mix of political comedy and real life stuff. If you are interested in politics and want our country to progress, but can also laugh at it all too - this is a show for you.

Everyone should see this show if they can get to it. All four performers were fantastic and did full sets. The surprise guest on panel -- Rob Reiner -- was excellent as well. All four comedians were cordial and lovely at the meet and greet -- definitely worth paying extra to be a part of that.

Let me start off with the theater - not only was it in a part of the city that seemed like an actual neighborhood and not some tourist trap. That was really cool, because not only were we able to grab some food, but I also got some batteries for my camera. When we got in, we were surrounded by cool and wonderful people who were just as glad to be there as we were, A little later, we found out that the show didn't sell out, so the staff decided that an upgrade was in order, which was totally unexpected. Also totally unexpected - getting to meet the stars of the show. We were actually trying to exit, and they decided to come and hang out with all of us - way cool. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

I'm completely addicted to Stephanie Miller Show. I brought my boyfriend with me, who isn't as much into the political scene as I am. He's alittle bit hard to read at times. After the show, and all weekend, he kept telling me how great the show was. I knew I loved it, but to hear him rave about it is a real testimonely of what a social powerhouse she, and the other wonderful people in the show are. Thank you, Thank you , Thank you!!!!
