The Charlie Daniels Band

He did it again. Seen him several times back to 70s. Good time nice folks. Easy parking, easy in and out. No elevators and rest room in basement a drawback. All that said will go back to this venue again.

Intimate and historic venue. The perfect place to see a true legend and American Musical Treasure.

At 81 years old Charlie Danials still puts all he s got into his show this was my first time seeing him in concert tho I have been a big fan for decades. If you have the opportunity to see him you will enjoy the show!

The Georgia Satellites were the 2nd of the 3 bands to play. They were very good, and I did not know what there hits were, but when they started playing, I recognized a few tunes. The Charlie Daniels Band was equally good in delivering what they are about, and with the experience on the stage, they let it loose and played just like I heard it on the LP [lol]. I am particularly fond of seeing Charlie work that fiddle. Too Bad the Marshall Tucker band had to cancel, and I wish them and their family well.

I am glad that my boyfriend, friends and myself knew ahead of time to bring our own chairs and mosquito spray. I guess is hard to warn the costumers about this things when you purchase the tickets on line and of course I am aware that you can't control weather or nature. The announce time was for 9:00 pm and again... We knew from other people that they went to this area to be hours ahead of time since it was other events going on like race cars that I wish we knew so we can have more fun. The band was good and their performance was great. Nothing to complaint. My disappointment is more toward the lack of information of the in and out of the event. Also was a group of people selling tickests for a raffle to be announce by the end of the concert and it never happen so we last $10. Did not like Mr Daniels political and religion comments.

What a night! I had bought the tickets as a birthday gift for my husband. Somehow I managed to keep the evening as a surprise - he had no idea what we were doing until we started to que up. We were both a bit apprehensive when we located our front row seats as we thought we might be 'blown away with the noise'. The only time it was almost too much was with Pat's drum solo. We were 'blown away' by the music - Charles and the band certainly have not lost their entertaining touch. The only thing that disappointed me and was a bit distracting was the fact that the band was chewing bubble gum and the ocassional bubble would appear. This went against all the advice from all my music teachers.

Volunteer Jam XX was awesome. Each act was better than the next. This was our first Jam, but it will not be our last, if they keep showing up so will we.

We were fortunate to have front row, center stage tickets. We ordered them less than a month before the concert and paid just a little over $300 dollars for both. I have never been so close to some of my rock icons in my life. It was a concert of a lifetime. It was right up there with the Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton we attended. I felt like I was in the presence of greatness and royalty. Forever memories...

Volunteer Jam XX was a fantastic tribute to Charlie Daniels and the CDB band. The line up was top notch! Enjoyed each act to the fullest. Charlie s still got it!

It is truly hard to single out anyone when the entire Jam was packed with so many music icons!! Charlie Daniels, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Alison Krauss, Bobby Bare, Ricky Skaggs, Travis Tritt, Sara Evans, Eddie Montgomery, SERIOUSLY IN ONE PLACE!! The rest of the performers were icing on the cake! Watching from the fourth row my very first Volunteer Jam. Can t wait for the next one!

This is my 5th Volunteer Jam - The artist lineup was exceptional - Besides the music, it benefited the Journey Home Project for our Vets. Everyone at the Bridgestone was very friendly and helpful. If you have to make a decision for THE CONCERT of the year to attend this is the one. Message to Charlie... ask Uncle Ted and Wynona to come next year. PLEASE...

Charlie has brought together for many years new and old school artists ! It s amazing the amount of people who love and support Charlie!

At age 80, Charlie Daniels and his talented band are an amazing act, with 59 years of performing. The venue was great, too. And I highly recommend the VIP parking there.

What an awesome performance by a seasoned performer! After 45 years of touring and entertaining, The Charlie Daniels Band is still kicking it! We attended their first show of the 2017 tour, and were treated to an outstanding performance. Don't miss this one.

This venue is small but don't let that fool you. All seats were good. Charlie Daniels and his band can still rock it. He sang his songs and Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash tribute. Sang a gosiple song How Great Thou Art. My favorite song of all time.

CDB rocked the house. A monument to southern rock.

Best concert I have been to this year besides Garth Brooks!! That says it all coming from me!! CDB rocked, Larry the cable guy was really funny, Kid Rock was awesome, Chris Stapleton is always great, Travis Tritt was fabulous and Luke Bryan keep it interesting!! Lol. I will go again next year!!

On I was lucky enough to attend Charlie Daniel's 80th birthday bash at Bridgestone Arena and sit 9 rows back. I only used my chair in between acts. I definitely felt the burn the next day! Besides Travis Tritt, I've been fortunate enough to see the other acts perform. (I was raised listening to Travis- my father & his brother's were in a country music band my entire life.) I was so astonished that I'm pretty sure my mouth remained open from either laughing or singing!!! Even at 80 years-old, Charlie knows how to put on one heck of a show. I hope I can rock that hard whenever I hit 80. I attended the CMA Fest back in June and thought that I'd never see another show that could come close to that blowout. The concert was fabulous and the performers were great! A really eclectic group of musicians. The show lasted over 4 hours! The best part was the surprise guest of Randy Travis to present Charlie Daniels with the Humanitarian Award! Go TARHEELS!

I saw Charlie Daniels @ Bridgestone Arena on November 30 had a blast kid rock Chris Stapleton list goes on...my God it was just amazing everything sounded great major surprise when Randy Travis came out on stage. I will be back for next years jam!

This was our second Volunteer Jam and we loved it every bit as much. There are so many main line performers over a 4-5 hour period it is impossible not to like it. Unlike most shows where there is an opening act for 30-45 minutes by some not so well know performer, the Volunteer Jam is a succession of several opening acts, in this case six, by well known performers before Charlie Daniels took the stage. Imagine being able to see: Three Doors Down, Larry The Cable Guy, Travis Tritt, Kid Rock, Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, and Charlie Daniels in the same show. Charlie Daniels has been doing this show for forty-two years to raise money to assist soldiers returning from military service. The performers give of their talent and the crowd loves it. All American - Red, White and Blue. There were no flag burners! ;-)

From 3 doors down to the end of the show this was awsome . I wish it would have lasted all night .80 yrs old and still rocking the place like a boss .if you ever get a chance you should not miss it

This man is still an amazing musician and vocalist! The lineup was awesome! Larry the Cable Guy, Kid Rock, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Travis Tritt, 3Doors Down! Charlie ran out on stage at 80! Played for 2 hours-unbelievable! Kid Rock played a new unrecorded song. We were blessed to be a part of!

Wow! What an experience! The CDB puts every ounce of energy they can muster into each and every song! We were blown away by him - he hasn't lost ANY of his energy, ability, passion or talent! This was one of my all-time favorite concerts (and I've been to many). The fact that I caught his bow that he tossed to me in the crowd made it an evening I'll never forget!

The music was awesome. He played for 90 minutes and put on a great show , would go again if he comes back.

Seemed like he only played a few of his songs. Too much sharing the stage (which was nice of him) and jamming. We paid for a show, front row tickets and it fell short of our expectations. Not even an encore. Last song played, lights went on and he was gone! Heard someone else say they've seen him 6 times and this was the worst show he's ever done.

I go to a lot of concerts & love all kinds of music. This was one of the best concerts that I have ever been to. The band was outstanding and Charlie was amazing!! Totally rock it!!

I have seen Charlie Daniels 27 times in my life. Every time, it gets better. His performance of How Great Thou Art brought me to tears. It was my Daddy's favorite song. Jason Aldean was in town the same night and I had my choice.... Hands down Charlie wins EVERY time!!!!! All my love to C.D.!!! Ray Scott was a pleasant addition. I have followed his music for about 10 years. I wish he made more stops in Jacksonville.

Better amphitheater was the perfect venue for Charlie Daniels!!!! He is an awesome performer and I doubt there was a bad seat anywhere!!!!! Would definitely go there to see Charlie again!

Lots of great music and surprises in this 5 hr marathon of a concert! Can't wait for next year.

Thank you to Charlie Daniels and all of the artists for putting on this wonderful show. We had a fun night while honoring our military. All performances were great and I appreciated all of them. I would love to see Wynonna in concert now! I wish some politicians could have been there to understand what it's like to be a proud American and to salute our troops!

I went specifically to see Trace Adkins and Travis Tritt. When Eric Church, Alabama, Jamey Johnson and so many other were surprise guests, I was floored! I hadn't been to a Volunteer Jam in 10+ years and I was excited to return and I got more than my monies worth!! I could have done without the ear splitting songs from Ted Nugent though.

Fantastic show with lots of Superstars. Fromm Lee Greenwood opening with God Bless The USA to Lynyrd Skynyrd closing with Sweet Home Alabama it was a wonderful PATRIOTIC show.

I've always been a big Charlie Daniels fan, love his music, respect him, and enjoy his Facebook, and Twitter posts. Charlie is a wonderful entertainer and his band are all so talented. Charlie graciously introduces each member and steps out of the spotlight so each gentleman in the band can do their thing. Individually they are on fire, together they are a force to be reckoned with. We love going to great concerts, we KNOW Charlie and the guys give it their all, every time they take the stage. Another thing we enjoy about an entertainer of Charlie's caliber, he is a true southern gentleman, respectful and puts on a show that every age can enjoy. He is a patriot and a Christian and his song choice, variety, and range of music show the versatility of talent and interests. He is gracious and humble and treats his fans like family.

i have been a fan since 1974 first time i seen charlie was 1975. i have seen him 20 plus times over the years always a good show.Last seen him right after taz death and the show lacked in the usual intensity.BUT this past saturday i seen one of the best cdb shows i witnessed.Coming on stge to the tennesse waltz,you knew charlie was in the house. He did his usual wooley swamp but with a distinct tone that shho you to the core.Off his latest cd tribute of bob dylan songs he did tangled up in blue .OMG a version that would bring any dylan/daniels fan to there feet. Also included a bit later was dylans cover of be my baby tonight. another treat for me knowing charlies respect for the late johnny cash was FOLSOM PRISON BLUES. he rocked the casino off the foundation with that and of course did his big ones and even sang his gospel and the sound was crystal clear.this 77 year old man put on a show of a man half his age and featured a really tight band most being there for 40 plus years.He finished the night with the devil went down to georgia that showcased his legendary fiddle playing and well if you have never seen charlie,or perhaps been a while check this show out he is legendary and one of americas good ole boys

I love going to concerts and try to get to Charlie Daniels shows when he plays in Minnesota. CDB is amazing and always put on a hard hitting, energetic tremendous concert. I wasn't sure how a Sunday afternoon show out in middle Minnesota would be, but the crowd seemed to enjoy every minute and the CDB played like it was a Friday night arena show, Charlie is the epitome of a true professional entertainer. His southern charm and every man relatability flows throughout the show. Introducing each band member, letting them shine in solo numbers, chatting and telling stories about his life on and off stage, joking about Twitter, his tweets are so much fun. He is very hands on, down to earth, friendly easy manner radiates from him. A Charlie Daniels concert is family friendly, no cussing, no off color remarks etc. a fan can bring generations to enjoy the show and all ages LOVE Charlie!

This was an enjoyable show. Charlie is still a great musician (as is the rest of the band) and has strong vocals. The show did a good job of showcasing many of Charlie's hits as well as showing off the talent of the rest of the band.

I was sad Brett Michaels was sick, but this was a benefit for a very good cause and I'm sorry people cancelled because of Brett. We had a meet and greet with the Marshall Tucker Band. Although we waited over an hour to actually get in, it was a good time and I was happy I'd paid the price. We missed the first band, but Marshall Tucker was next. LOVED the jam session they did, but really regretted that they only did 4 songs. They had so many hits. Charlie Daniels really came out with a bang! They were terrific - but the sound wasn't so great. They'd be OK - then they'd sound so bad I couldn't make out the songs they were singing! They did a lot of terrific songs. Biggest regret - The Devil Went Down to Georgia - really wanted to hear that great fiddle playing in person but he really knocked it down to almost nothing. Again - it was a benefit for a great cause (Housing for our vets) and the price was well worth it!

This was a great experience. Had great seats, 4th row center. Could sit & relax the whole concert.

Excellent show, at 76 years old Charlie still turns it up to eleven. The first time I have been able to see Charlie and it was worth the wait. Next time I would like to hear Funky Junky, Birmingham Blues, Passing Lane, Lonesome Boy From Dixie, No Place To Go, New York City, King Size Rosewood Bed, I've Been Down, Billy Joe Young and Road Dogs. Even though he didn't play these the show was still fantasitc. The band sounded great. Thank you CDB!

This was my third CDB concert in as many months and I'm seeing them again in about a month, so I knew what to expect and I was right. At nearly 76 years of age, Mr. Daniels is as good, or even better, a showman as he's ever been. Also, the talented musicians he surrounds himself with are second to none. For those, and there are many, who only know Charlie Daniels for "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," they surely are surprised at the wide variety of music this band puts out. Country, of course, but they can hold their own in jazz, blues, gospel and just about any other musical style you care to name, even classical! Guitarist Chris Wormer's rendition of "The William Tell Overture" will make your mouth hang open in disbelief. I have seen The Charlie Daniels Band at least 30 times over the years and I now go see them any time they are a reasonable distance from my home, because I can't see them enough and I know the sad day will come when Mr. Daniels will no longer be with us and we can't see him in concert any more.

Charlie Daniels was amazing. Ayla Brown, Daughter of Republican Senator Scott Brown opened on Sunday here in MA and she was also very very entertaining and available for a meet and greet after her performance which was really fun! Charlie was spunky and full of life and at 75 that is something incredible. I have seen a lot of people who were disappointed that he sat down. Did he sit down for some of his set? Yes. But you know going in that he is getting up there in years and you should just appreciate the fact that most people don't keep touring at this age. He was very funny when he needed to be and sincere when talking about more sensitive matters like our troops. He sang a wide variety of songs and performed for about 3 hours. I thought it was amazing!

We had incredible seats, 2nd row front center. The Man can play and he has the RIGHT attitude.

On 9/11/11 we went to see Charlie Daniels for the third time at the Indian Ranch in Webster, MA. Another fantastic show and a great time! Well worth our 2+ hour drive to get there. We'll see him again next year!

What an amazing concert. The band played forever and gave their fans great music. Charlie paid tribute to the 9/11 victims and the troops. God willing I will be at the Ranch next year..

It is the first time that my wife and I ever went to a concert and had seats in the front roll. It was really an experience that we will never forget. CD is trully amazing and he and us are on the same page when it comes to country, guns, and GOD.

Have been to several of his concerts and this was by far the best. Charlies music is "Good Ol AMERICAN" . His band is outstanding,such talent. Don't miss him if you have the chance.

The Outlaws was great but wish they played a lot longer! It was way too short! The lead singer of the Marshall Tucker Band sounded terrible! What happened to his voice? A lot of hits not played! Charlie Daniels was fantastic! How old is that guy?! He's still got it! Voice is still the same and he can still play! Wow!

We were so impressed with Charlie Daniels talents, and he has many. His voice is still able to deliver strong sound. His guitar skills are just terrific. The only negative thing we can say about the concert was that sometimes it was difficult to understand the words, and we has front row seats. Maybe it was because the mikes were up too high or all the singers were in physical contact with them. Overall, a great concert.

Best band ever to see on our nation's birthday. Felt so warm and patriotic!

The Outlaws began the night with an energetic performance that got everyone going! Unfortunately, Marshall Tucker was a disappointment,,,, not enough of the old great songs! But then Charlie Daniels brought down the house!

Such a great performance! Charlie may be getting up there in age, but his voice is as good as ever!! We really enjoyed the show!

Everyone forgets Charlie is a Long-haired Country boy'. Which, means HE ROCKS! I don't know if country fans were impressed, but this hippie chick was reminded what a rebel Charlie has been. What an AMAZING guitar player he is (we all know about his fiddle playing). And, what a phenomenal storyteller/entertainer he is. I was kind-of expecting to leave early from his show. He turned out to be the best, rockin'est band of the day! So thrilled and honored to have been a part of the audience for that show!

Don't miss the chance to see CDB! Every cut was a display of some of our generations' finest musicianship. Charlie can count on my presence every time he comes thru STL

Awesome show - disappointed that I missed some as two bands overlapped. Bought too many tickets on Ticketmaster and couldn't return them to Ticketmaster- even though I tried well in advance of the show date-couldn't find anyone to buy them either. Paid 16.00 over and above ticket price - taxes and surcharges my ass ! People were giving tickets away. I'll skip Ticketmaster next time and take my chances at the venue. Cocktails were 19.00 and very small - ridiculous !

I truly hope this is a yearly event.. this was my first time attending the KSHE Roast!! I will be back!!

Really enjoyed the concert. All the bands were great.

This was a most excellent show. We were more interested in the other acts that were playing this event, but Charlie was the headliner and there's no doubt why! An icon; a master; at 81 years old, more energy and talent than most half his age. If you have the opportunity, go see him if you have the chance. This venue isn't my favorite. Parking is rough; the patrons are often rude and I get tired of paying good $$ to watch the a$$ of the person/people in front of me. We don't often attend concerts here for this reason.

As we look back on life our music is the most important link to friends and events! Having retired from the Air Force I got a chance to see all of these bands in different cities while serving. But, this was our first time to see them in our home town St Louis. What a great night and to see the mix of young and older rockers just made the night that much more enjoyable. And KSHE has never been more important to our continued success as a town who loves our past and present! Keep on Rockin!

The shows on the main stage were great but too short. In order to accommodate a second stage of performers, which were difficult to appreciate from the seats, the shows on the main stage were only about 30-40 minutes until the last two. It would have been better to limit the event to fewer bands that played the main stage longer or pipe the music (and video) from the 2nd stage to the main stage so everyone didn't have to move to see the other bands. The Outlaws could have filled an hour, Dave Mason was awesome and Charlie Daniels rocked.

All the bands were excellent. They all did some big hits I remember plus some new stuff I didn t know.

Loved the fiddle playing and his voice is still strong.

I d do it again! Pleasantly surprised and felt like I was back in high school listening to the CDB on KSHE radio. They sounded fantastic!!

Charlie Daniels Band played a lot of songs, both new and old. They were great. The other 6 bands played a big hit song and turned it in to a long jam session. The song would be 15 or 20 minutes long after they were done jamming. This was not appealing to me as I would have rather heard more songs. Three of these other 6 bands only played 30 minutes and the other three only played a little longer than that. That's what made the KSHE Pig Roast a little disappointing to me.

Too much back and forth between main stage and 2nd stage. Not enough time to get to each band. Only played for 30 mins. If you had to use the bathroom u would miss half of a band or all of it by the time you use the bathroom and fight the crowd to get out there. Molly Hatchet sucked! There were too drunk to put on a good show. Very disappointing. The sound out on 2nd stage was terrible. Could have done without Molly Hatchet and Marshall Tucker and had all the bands on the main stage and play a little longer.

KSHE\u2018 S pig roast is always good. I have to tell you that Dave Mason stole the show! He was outstanding when he was with traffic in the late 60s. He has gotten nothing but better in the interem.The man is an outstanding guitar player. The whole concert was excellent. I will go again.

I had little expectation for how good this show would be- not knowing who would really be playing in these old bands that I d loved so much. Big surprise! They rocked it and I had ahreat time!

I have seen Charlie Daniels band about 10 time. The first was in 1973. He is still so amazing, even at 81 years old. So glad they played Saddletramp.

This was my 1st concert of the year and definitely not the last. Went to 6 or 7 last year. I'd love to break that many this year. It was a Great time. Loved all the bands.

The solos were too long and ridiculous. I love Charlie Daniels but just play the hits!!!

The Charlie Daniels Band put on a fantastic show this year at Hollywood Casino!

Charlie Daniels and his band entertained us for a FULL hour and a half!! I can not believe a man, his age, can sing/talk as fast as he does... and move his fingers as fast as he does!!! Great show!

There is no doubt he still loves what he does. He was funny, charismatic, humble, and down right entertaining!!

Unbelievable show Friday night @ the Tilles Center- Charlie Daniels fans were treated to an awesome experience- still the showman he was in the 70 s- singing, guitar playing and fiddling. Charlie had the crowd on its feet from the first song to last!

Charlie rocks. Strong stage presents and hasn t lost any energy.
