These guys can still bring it. It was a great show even though the venue is way too stuffy for these guys. Show 5* venue 1*. They really started to jam on the last few songs and I wish they had let it hang out a little more on some of the earlier tunes. All in all a really good night.

This show was absolutely fantastic! 20th Anniversary Pocket Full of Kryptonite was one of the best shows I've ever seen! The Spin Doctors are still rocking and jamming out like they always have and this just reinforced how much I love them! Loved how they came out to mingle and talk with us after the show. Definitely made my year! I can't wait for the next tour!

My first time seeing the Spin Doctors gives me the thrill every second near the stage. Their humbled stage presence along with humorous personalities add to the fascination I have for them. Totally willing to see them in the future.

Spin Doctors still sounded great and put on an excellent show. Some very solid musicianship in this band. Overall, it was a really fun time. They were even nice enough to meet everyone after the show & sign autographs/take photos.

Man, what a good show. Spin Doctors were the first band I had ever seen back in '93 at the Beacon Theatre in NYC and have seen them a few times since they got back together in 2000. Pocket Full of Kryptonite was played in it's entirety and it couldn't have sounded better. They played like a band that honestly enjoyed being together and had great chemistry. Rumor has it they have been in the studio lately and hopefully expect another blues album in the near future. If you have the opportunity to see them live, just go ahead now!

Hands down one of the best shows I have seen in a while. It amazed me how accomplished and proficient each member of the band was at their particular craft, this is something I rarely see. There were unforgettable cheesy moments throughout the show, like the awkward stage entrances and things like guitarist Eric Schenkman's orange fishnet tank-top, but ultimately the music really spoke for itself. They truly rock!!

Show started at 10:16p.m. Main set ended at 11:39p.m. Encores started at 11:45p.m. or so Show ended at 12:01a.m. or so Special notes on these songs: Forty or Fifty (way too many people ran for beer/bathroom when this started, I was not pleased but Erik being on fire for this one made up for it!) Refrigerator Car (special notice for Erik and Mark on this!) More Than She Knows (may be the first time I have ever seen them play this and it was super fast and sounded great, plus the funny story about Jason Richardson calling out for it in the old days) Off My Line (ERIK!) How Could You Want Him (Erik was in fine form and the legendary Erik Lawrence on saxophone) Shinbone Alley (wow, Erik again, plus Aaron and Mark (still an amazing bassist) want back and forth with awesome drum and bass solos and Aaron even pulled out the mallets!) Hard to Exist (this was favorite performance from the album, long, jammy and made me feel good) 'Bout a Train (seriously, YAY) The Drop (first time I have ever seen it played live, sounded great) Hungry Hamed's (sounded great and the one nod to Turn It Upside Down!) Lady Kerosene (WOW, fast, LOUD and great) In between sets, the band posed (w/Jason Richardson, David Sonenberg and at least one other person, I think) to celebrate 5 million copies sold of Pocket Full Of Kryptonite. Also, Mark waved the record frame at the crowd and let a few people upfront touch it. After the show, we (everybody still standing) and Spins hung out in the Ballroom, down the stairs, at the merchandise table and in the ground floor bar. At one point, Mark asked if he could grab a chair I was leaning on. I didn't bug them as they were definitely catching up with old and new friends. And the love for Erik Lawrence was very clear, especially from Chris. By the way, these guys are all still super nice and approachable. They all signed, took pictures and hung out with everybody.

The concert was pretty good, given that I am not as much a "fan" of the band as I am of the hits from the album they were playing at the concert. If you get to the Birchmere when the box office opens, you will get a "line number" toward the front of the pack. Within the first dozen or so, it's easy to get "front and center" seats where the view and sound were great! Our seats for this concert could hardly have been better. However, and I guess this should be expected from a rock concert, the sound was quite loud and I put in earplugs during the opening act. The area surrounding the Birchmere is pretty nice and we spent some time after getting our line number but before being admitted for the concert walking around the local parks and grabbing a bite at Po Siam, which is a great little Thai place literally a stone's throw from the Birchmere.

....volume level. Given the size of this venue, volume was cranked up way too much. Played all the hits early in the show and didn't save much for the end.
