From the pre-show to closing act, we loved the Sunday Gospel Brunch. We sang and danced to our favorite Gospel and R&B hits. We enjoyed singing competition, personal testimonies and Birthday songs. It s a must see show!

I didn't know what to expect. I had never been to a Gospel event and thought it was very upbeat and energetic. The waiters did a great job participating and it made the event very informal and fun. The host was beautiful and had a great voice. I also liked her outfit she could work a little better on her hosting skills.

I've attended another Sunday Gospel Brunch event during a vacation in New Orleans. But the choir that performed during my attendance at the Atlantic City NJ Gospel Brunch was much more than entertaining. The performance gave the feelling of being in church giving God praise. You could feel the sincerity in the voices of the choir members. The choir was the Inspirational Choral Ensemble from the Second Baptise Church of Atlantic City New Jersey. I applaud the House of Blues for their use of local talent and the presentation of a quality gospel group. The food was great also.

An uplifting way to spend Sunday noon brunch. Awesome choices of food with great Christian music. Katani is filled with enthusiasm and the holy spirit and the Kevin Sharpe Group provided uplifting lyrics with Gospel roots and modern flair to lift your spirits. We have been to the Gospel brunch at other House of Blues locations and Boston brings it home. We will be back!

This was recommended by a good friend of mine so I [urchased the tickets for my mother's birthday. The brunch was jam packed with great food. The waffles were amazing...strawberries, whipped cream...yum!! Plenty of food for all! The show was uplifting and much needed. The male singer of the group sounded a lot like Al Green. The audience got to participate in the show and it was loads of fun. It was a good time for all. Families, couples would all have a good time.

If you are looking to really expand upon your perception of what brunch really means than this is the event for you. The 3-5 station buffet was great as well as the staff running everything. The music is upbeat, a mix of standards and modern Gospel and fun for all religions. The even allowed some people to get up on stage and celebrate birthdays and dance with the group. The sound quality was decent, could have been better at times. Also, front row is a little too close. The front tables should really have been back a few feet.

We had so much fun when the music came on. My partner and I stood at the bar and danced and laughed. The male bartender made us fabulous Margaritas. The was pretty good and different. The show was not Reverend Lee, it was Bishop--------. His band was great, but not gospel. There was a lot of seating confusion that eventuall sorted it way out. Great venue and we will be back.

The Gospel Brunch is a great idea. The brunch was fantastic. The Gospel group was good but young and they only did their original music. Most of the people attended seemed to be in the 40-60 age bracket as us and we would have liked to hear some of the more familiar gospel favorites. Also the sound/volume was so high many of us who were up front had to move. finally the MC was terrible, she read everything even her welcome.

I attended the Gospel Brunch at the Orlando HOB a couple of years ago. That event offered an incredible display of food and entertainment. The Houston HOB event was disappointing to me as I was expecting it to be similar to the Orlando experience. The doors opened at 11am. I was sitted by 11:10. Stood in a standard, unimpressive buffet line for 15 minutes. The Gospel group was great, however there were three songs, then birthday tributes, then a final two songs. The event ended at 12:12. I was left with a feeling that I rushed in, grabbed some food, then just barely got settled in and then it was time to leave. All would have been much better if there was just a little more time to eat and enjoy the event.

My wife and daughter and I went to the Gospel Brunch on Father's Day. It was our first time at House of Blues and everything was fantastic. We all thought the food was great, and so was the entertainment (band). My only disappointment was that it didn't last longer. The band played for about 45 minutes and that was all.

My boyfriend and I took our Mother's for their birthday's. They loved it! The food was great and the Gospel music wasn't what we expected. It was Contemporary. They even did a tribute to Michael Jackson along with Lean on Me. The music was upbeat and fun. I would recommend it, especially to those who are already Gospel fans!

My family and I really enjoyed the Gospel Brunch on Sunday, July 15, 2018. We were celebrating my husband's birthday this month. The food was great! The gospel show was also top notch! I only wished the experience could have lasted longer. We always feel somewhat rushed when we go to the Gospel Brunch. It's like when the singing is over, that's it, get out of here! Otherwise, excellent outing.

My impressions\u2014- we got there early there was no signage to explain to line up for entrance. It was awkward. No one told us there were two lines of food on different sides of restaurant. The omelets and waffles were elsewhere. Once everyone got seated it was impossible to get up to get more food because everything is too close together. I did not get any value at all

Food was excellent! Nice variety. Would have liked eggs done my way at omelette station. Easy to do. The gospel show was church the right way. We got married on Saturday and wanted to praise the Lord on Sunday. Our wedding party went and all had a blast. I would have liked at least one Male lead vocalist though. All women on lead vocals is limiting. Go see it! You ll have a fab time

Been to this before and loved it, but second time it was different. Problems with parking, sound man was rude, Pride week promo unnecessary and too much booty-shaking (even by members of the choir). Lead singer did his own song, but it was all about himself! I couldn t heartily recommend the show anymore, since it s promoted as a Gospel Brunch. Food, however, was good, esp. the omelette bar.

Food was basic brunch fare nothing amazing but nothing that was bad either just standard brunch. I enjoyed the gospel music. My complaint is there were too many tables for the space you couldn t back out your chair to get up to return to the buffet with hitting someone else they should serve less people to make it more comfortable. Also the ticket said 1:30 and the venue would not open the doors until then I was early and standing outside in Houston summer heat waiting was certainly not ideal.

Brunch was really good. The singers and band were very talented. When they sang it was great. The reason we didn t give it 5 stars was that they spent a significant amount of time on birthdays and anniversaries including her doing some Beyoncé dance that we felt was inappropriate for a gospel brunch.

If your in Vegas on a Sunday this is a must see show. My only complaint was the food could be a ittle warmer but who cares, because when you leave , You have been to Church.

The House of Blues Venue is very quaint. It's semi dark, it's romantic and it's well set-up. Although you can see from every seat in the place, I would suggest to sit as close as possible. We sat at Table D , Row 8. All the Table seats were excellent. The Buffett breakfast was good. There was a carving turkey and beef station. There were 2 different salads. There was an assortment of cheeses, fruits, pastries, rolls. On the hot table we had delious eggs, grits, cubed potatoes, bacon, sausage, and a other thinhs i cant remember. Lastly, there.was an made to order omelette station with deliously flavored fried chicken strips and fresh waffles. I almost forgot, there was a few desserts. The entertainment was ok. I thought the musical selection could have been better considering it was mother's day. One of the entertainers was a 15 1/2 year old girl who was good. I would go again and hope for better performers. The MC was excellent and lively.

We chose two person pub tables on the lower level and we had an excellent view of the stage. The performers were great at interacting with the audience and putting on an uplifting show!

I attended the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues in Chicago so I was expecting the same experience. I had not been impressed. It was a cattle call, long line to get in, food that was not memorable, cramped seating....and a show that was not exciting in any way. This brunch and show in Anaheim was such a surprise! The admission process was very smooth; the seating was comfortable and the food was excellent. The performers were GREAT. You could tell they were giving it their all and the singing was excellent. They tried very hard to connect with the audience, which seemed a bit strained at times, but you had to give them credit for trying. We took my mother-in-law and her two daughters and I think everyone had a great time. Mom was still talking about it a week later.

A coworker told me about the Gospel Brunch and insisted I go. I went alone but the people at my table were so nice felt like I was there with friends. The music was great. The artist perform mostly main stream gospel jams. The food was awesome so much to choose from. The only drawback is the $15 valet parking. It was my first time at House of Blues so I was not prepared for that so I had to use their ATM which had a $4 charge!

Kirk Franklin's Gospel Brunch was not only the highlight of my family's trip, but as long as the show keeps running, it will remain the primary reason for us to head to the Vegas Strip. The food, service and the talent was soul-filling and worth the "Strip!!"

The food that was served was much better than I anticipated and the music was phenomenal! My wife and I were on vacation and away from our church so this was an excellent substitute from a praise and worship perspective. I had the chance to be called onstage when they asked for all of the December birthday people and the performers even took a picture with my wife and daughter after the show. I would not only recommend this show, but I would go back to it again if the opportunity came for it. We were seated with a family from England that had seen the show 4 times prior to this one. It is THAT good!

I initially was very, very upset that Kirk Franklin was not going to be making an appearance at the show. HOWEVER, Pat Pennington made me rethink that whole option. She took COMMAND of the stage! She had more energy than the eveready bunny! She and the other performers made my husband and I feel more than grateful that we came to the show, regardless of the fact that Kirk was not there. She made the show BETTER than last year's performance. If you do nothing else while in Las Vegas, please, please, please, get a seat to the Gospel Buffet. Oh, I almost forgot, the food was delicious as well. Man, when a performer can take MY mind off food, then I HIGHLY recommend you go see the show! LOL!

This was my first time attending the Kirk Franklin Gospel Brunch and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a very inspirational performance. Very heart felt and somewhat emotional for me. Recently loosing my husband and son I so needed that good ole down home gospel feeling to move within my soul. Keep on spreading the word through gospel. Awesome!!

This event was well planned and orchestrated. The brunch was filled with fruit, salads, pastas, breakfast foods, carving station (ham and roast beef), made to order omelets, chicken, shrimp, rice dishes, dessert, and drinks. The quality of the food was superb. The gospel group was from Tampa. The group singers and musicians were all talented. They included the group in their performances which made the experience very interactive. The singing was inspirational!!! Overall an A+

Music, band, food were great. We had no idea what this was about but we were not disappointed at all, it was better than what we expected, even thou Kirk Franklyn was not phisucally on the show. Great for our 40th anniversary celebration.

Received the event as an anniversary gift from our children, and once we got INTO the venue the program was wonderful. Ticketing website confusion had our tickets at Chicago "will call" while we were standing in line for the New Orleans show. Ended up paying twice although New Orleans agent was in phone contact with will call agent in Chicago. Missed most of the meal and part of the show just trying to get in. Since it was a sold out show in New Orleans I'm grateful they found a place to put us. But it wasn't worth $190. I understand ours is a common occurrence. So fix it already!!

thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the event, food, staff and gospel music. I've been wanting to go for some time but it just worked out this weekend. Took another couple and all of us really enjoyed it - stood up, clapped, sang. Now this is what "church" is suppose to be like!

Ive been this many times in New Orleans but in Dallas this was my first. The food was awesome not average like most buffets, the music was good and it had active crowd participation. The set went pretty quick but I have no complaints.

We have been to the gospel brunch several times...first in New Orleans, then in Vegas and this was our 2nd time to attend the one in Houston...the food is always fabulous and the music/show uplifting & entertaining for all ages...it is a nice outting for the whole family...we came for Mother's Day this year & had 4 generations of family with us.

Living Water was EXCELLENT! If you ever have the opportunity to see this group don't miss it. The music is moving and it will definitely make you get out your seat and clap, shout and join in. Katani is a great spiritual host! She did a great job getting the audience hyped to recieve the group.

My wife and I took our Niece Lindsey for her 14th Birthday. We weren't sure if she would dig it, but wanted to introduce her to something with a little culture, so we gambled, and to say the least it was a Hit. The selection and quality of the food was great, a wide variety, including many healthy choices, sure to please everyone even those with a favor for the deep south, complete with Grits and Biscuits and Gravy! The show was incredible! A nice blend of R&B, Blues, Jazz, and of course Gospel. The performers and the HOB staff, encouraged everyone to get on their feet and Boogie, and we did. It was a great time, Lindsey loved it and I'll be sure to bring back more friends and family... A great gift for a special occasion or anytime!

Seats selection prior to event tables were round. Day of event table was rectangle and too many tables and seats placed together, so unable to interact as desired. Food was subpar for the cost of tickets. Entertainment was great!

This was the second time my wife and I attended the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues. This is such a great option for Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas. Praising the Lord is great respite from all the other activities. That being said, we were disappointed because the show consisted of mostly talking and pointing out people with Birthdays and Anniversaries. It is almost like the actual gospel praise was simply to fill in the quiet spaces. Again, a great option but we won't be back.

The brunch was a 1:30, which I though was late for Brunch. However, I d been looking forward to going for some time so I attended. Everything seemed very rushed, except the wait to enter the venue. The food was tasty and plentiful, but the table service for the bottomless mimosas was very slow. The music was very good, but seemed to be hastily organized with more talking than singing. Overall it was a good experience, but not a special experience.

Our party include people from 16 to 86. We had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, and not your standard brunch fare. While the buffet included breakfast favorites it included New Orleans favorites too. It s the music though that makes this a must do. The power and exuberance is just what the doctor orders.

We had a great time, the only downside was that there was not nearly enough prime rib prepared. Everything was gone just 45 minutes after the doors opened, we didn't get a chance to try it at all! Otherwise, fantastic service and atmosphere.

A genuine embarrassment to attend - I have been to this event a few years back and it was a fair experience, this however was horrific. At $110.00+ for two people at 10:30am for brunch - the bar staff didn't have any glassware to serve drinks (mimosas and bloody Mary's at $5.00 each) they asked us to wait untl someone could get glassware "from the back" - some of the food was stone cold even though we were first there and lack luster - the staff were unapologetic and disengaged and really didn't care and last but not least the entertainment consisted of 5 people who were at best an amateur wedding band.
