Took my son to the show and we enjoyed it. I was thrilled when they started off explaining that part of the show was to understand myth busting the way they look and evaluate various experiments/tests. They started with the force equation, f = m*a and gave examples of this in action in a way that children could immediately grasp. Next they gave an example of fluids and hydraulics. OK gag, but no explanation. Children could not relate this to any Mythbusters episode or real like experience (such as brakes on a car). Same for optics. Same for friction. Same for explosions... I just wish they took the 20 seconds per example on stage to take that amazing show of theirs and take one step beyond gags and entertainment. *That* would have left my son remembering the Physics lessons they advertised at the start of the show - forever. And it would have achieved the stated reason for the Behind the Myths show - to illustrate how they use science to validate or bust myths. Good, not great.

This excelled my expectations, some great clips from the 10 years - behind the scenes too. Audience participation was handled great, including interactive question and answer sessions. The experiments used were brilliant. A great show for fans old and new.

They did not bust any myths on stage, but it was great to see how they demonstrated some of the principals involved in Mythbusting. It was like debunking Wikapedia's errors. Having the opportunity to ask questions of both Adam and Jamie was great. Kept you guessing at what would come next. The video tour of the shop was really cool!! Having the chance to be on-stage was great too. Finding out both Jamie's and Adam's career path to the Mythbusters was very interesting. The set ups were good too.

this was one of the funniest things i have ever seen, it works on the stage just like the TV show and the chemistry between Jamie and Adam is so apparent, even with out Grant, Tory and Kari, but where was Kari.LOL if you are fan of the show, go see this live version, it was worth it.

This show was very enjoyable for a broad demographic. Ages ranged across 32 years in our group, and I saw many instances of young children (say 8 or 9) attending with older (past 70) adults, with all enjoying the performance. One of the more interesting (and frustrating) parts of the show were the times Adam and Jamie were on stage alone answering questions from audience members. The answers given by the Mythbuster Duo were engaging; however, the lack of any way for the audience to ask questions loudly enough to be well heard was frustrating. Some of the questions were not easily understood, and what was asked had to be discerned from the answer given. One other frustration of note: when audience member participation was requested, those chosen were all from seats pretty close to the stage. I understand the limitations of being able to see (or, more correctly, not see) the audience from the stage, but this made many audience members from mid-seating on back feel a slight disconnect. This is why I only rated this with 4 stars. Some of the "gags" were very unexpected (that multi-barrel paint gun? UNBELIEVABLE!!), while all were entertaining. Definitely a well-spent evening.

Drove from So. Cal to Vegas with my son and it was worth it. This is not a 'live' version of the TV show, but instead it is more of a behind-the-scenes view providing insight in how they develop the show. There is quite a bit of (on stage) audience participation as well as Q&A time with both Adam and Jaime.

Mythbusters Behind the Myths was completely funny. Whatever they stated they would do: "Lots of audience participation, Mess with you, etc" was done extremely well and well... it was straight out hilarious. Though the touch on things people probably know, their way of presenting it was, as they put it, unorthodox. It is for sure a show for those who wishes to laugh many times.

Adam and Jamie are an amazing pair that made the show so entertaining. Learning more about them and how they followed their love of answering questions and finding truth was so interestingly they motivated me to educate myself and look for answers and teach my kids to do so also. The demonstrations were super cool especially the paintball Gatling gun and the high speed camera was hilarious. I can't wait for the new season. The audience participation made it super interesting and lots of laughs

Took my boyfriend to see this in Boise last night and had a great time. Was really both surprised and heartened to see all the kids that were there. Jamie and Adam were personable, entertaining and provided back story to their personalities. Given the size and tone of the venue their demonstrations were appropriate, and informative. Loved the little girl vs. big guy and audience participation. The only thing that was a negative in my opinion was strictly a lighting issue - the red spotlights in the rear of the stage really distracted from the big screen rather than adding to it, I would say that in a bigger venue that may not be an issue - so their set up crew may not realize it, but the big screen in the back was virtually useless from our angle. On the whole though, money well spent and we enjoyed ourselves very much.

Jamie & Adam are always entertaining. Adam's antics and enthusiasm are like a high-bounce ball ricocheting off Jamie's phlegmatic straight-man brick wall. The show is a blend of demonstrated physics principles, clips from the TV show, and Q&A. It's like watching a TED talk on STEM/STEAM... but led by P.T. Barnum. There's plenty of audience engagement and J&A always let slip a hilarious little behind-the-scenes story from the show. Pros: Entertaining, family-friendly fun. Cons: The show was the same as last year. I was surprised they didn't mix in a few new stunts, maybe at least one from their latest season.

Boring and not really that entertaining. The science experiments completed were ones many middle and high school students would complete as part of a physics or science class. The stories Jamie and Adam told were good and as expected, but basically I felt I wasted 2 hours. Amazing!!! The Mythbusters are just as energetic onstage as they are on TV! They did a really good job of making the show flow well and getting the audience involved. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars on this was because we had the cheaper tickets so we were in the balcony and couldn't go onstage with them! But being an observer is still awesome!

I've been a fan of the Mythbusters since they started. They are as smart, funny, and entertaining in the live show as they are in the TV Show. I was concerned that being in the balcony would hinder my experience and while I am sad I wasn't available to be selected for "helping", I was still able to see and enjoy every bit of the show. Adam bounced around like a hyper active puppy and Jamie was, well Jamie. What makes it so much fun is that they are having so much fun. They clearly enjoy sharing their knowledge and experiences with the fans which makes it so much more entertaining for us. Some of the things they do have been seen on the show but seeing it live and hearing Adam giggle and Jamie snicker made me so happy I decided to buy tickets.

If you think of Mythbusters as being a show about explosions, you'll wonder how it can possibly translate to the stage. Once you realize it is really a show about reasoning, physics and storytelling, the idea of a stage show is a natural fit. These guys really know how to capture an audience! Family friendly.

Jamie and Adam's 'Behind the Myths' show was a-maz-ing. My wife, 14-year-old daughter and I had a blast both during the event and at the VIP meet-and-greet after the show. I would rate the show 10 stars if I could! We had great seats in the second row, the physics experiments were awesome, and I loved the preview for the 2014 season of Mythbusters! We ordered the VIP tickets for the meet and greet with Adam and Jamie after the show, and that was the coolest thing ever to meet the Mythbusters. However, I felt that we didn't get much information on the meet and greet from Seven Venues, it was kind of disorganized. I would rate that just 2 or 3 stars. I had to go onto the Behind the Myths website to get information that we would get a meet and greet pass and a signed 8x10 picture after the show. We had to ask the box office to give us our meet and greet passes, and almost no one else in the VIP section knew to get the passes. I feel that we should have gotten this information via email and the Facebook page for the event.

Don't expect the big thuds of explosions you've become accustomed to while watching episodes of Mythbuster. Do not even expect anything that might make you (or the Mythbuster duo) wrench in inferred or inductive pain. None of those edgy type of experiments are conducted during their live show for obvious reasons, mostly liability insurance. But what you will find is the duo having fun on stage while displaying high school level science fair type of demonstrations with language suitable for the younger fans. Their show starts off slow but picks up after a brief intermission and includes videos of some of their TV show's best moments interlaced throughout the live show. They both take audience questions individually and their answers are quite entertaining at times. The audience participation during the demonstrations is often the best part of the show. The highlight of the show is the use of a slow motion camera display of audience members face contortions as they blow raspberries into the camera and the four barrel automatic paintball turret gun fired at a fan in full knight's armor. However, it ends a little anticlimactic with a fake (sound effects) explosion. All-in-all my boys had a decent time (they both stated it was "Okay") and enjoy seeing them live but I felt the show did not justify the ticket prices. My recommendation is that if you go see this show it will likely be in a small venue so do not waste your money on the expensive seats. Go with the lowest price tickets because getting 50 - 100 feet closer is not going to add to the show. In fact, the folks who paid the most at the venue I was at (Sun Dome at USF) likely had the worse seats because they were much lower than the stage and on a level floor so they had to look over the persons head in front of them. Save your money and buy the cheap seats.

My husband is a die-hard Mythbusters fan, so these tickets were his Christmas present. Christmas Day arrived early because we had tickets for Star Wars first thing in the morning, picked up our daughter from college that afternoon, and Mythbusters at night. As someone who has only viewed this show from walking into the living room and catching glimpses of it, I was anticipating the mayhem and explosions, but what I received was an insightful, amusing, entertaining and educational look into the world of Mythbusters. Adam is definitely the heart behind the process and is in his element being able to be a big kid on stage. Jamie, on the other hand, is the brains behind a lot of what is done, and it appears that he'll be greatly relieved to go back to his shop, and work on his projects for the military (and, bless you Sir, for your contributions to that!).

If you are a fellow science loving nerd that wants to hear Jamie and Adam discuss all of the cool things they have done on Mythbusters... This is not the show for you. While I did not expect any of the wild and crazy stunts done on the show, I did expect a little more in depth conversation about the science. That didn't happen. The show really seemed geared towards kids. As other reviewers have said, there were lot's of videos, and the "experiments" are lackluster. We ended up leaving during intermission. It was cool seeing the guys on stage. This show will probably be more worth your while if you are taking young kids. I saw a lot of amazed little faces there. If you get lucky, you may get picked to participate in an experiment.

Some cool on-stage gags, but the Q&A with Jamie & Adam was the most fun.

AWESOME said my 16 and 13 year old. They have been to many shows and they said this was one of the best ones they have ever seen. They said they laughed the whole time. They grew up watching them on T.V. and they were excited to see them one last time. After hearing my kids talk about the show for 30 minutes after we picked them up, I knew it was worth every penny.

This show was an awesome experience for fans of the TV show. The science/physics element was great and as amazing as the TV show. Of course, you don't get any explosions onstage, but it was a fun evening. We enjoyed learning more about them personally, though I would have preferred fewer references to the fact that they're not friends and they don't get along. (Bummer.) Plus the implications of even mentioning creating your own explosive device at home is really awkward in this day and age. We are not that far from San Bernardino. If you ever get a chance to see a show at the San Diego Civic, spend the extra $$ and avoid the balcony. It really is too high, and I've always ended up feeling like I couldn't see/experience everything.

This was a great show and totally worth the money and effort! It was all about physics and science mixed with fun and humor. There was a lot of audience engagement and participation. Thank you, Adam and Jamie!

I've loved the Mythbusters for years and have watched most of the episodes they've made. Seeing them live was even better than seeing them on TV! They were funny and engaging and were able to perform some small feats that bring science to life. It was also really cool to be able to hear some of their stories behind the myths as well as stories from their lives outside of Mythbusters.

We took my son for his birthday, he said it was the best birthdayhe has ever had. The show was both fun and eengaging. I just love how Adam and Jamie make science come alive and easy to understand.

I am glad we went to see Adam and Jaime but the show really wasn't worth the $300 I spent on tickets. We where expecting to see more interesting and fascinating "things", instead I felt like it was a conversation with them, which was cool just not expected.

The program was not slow and kept my attention continuously throughout the whole program.. They did a good variety of myths and were entertaining. We really enjoyed the question and answer portion. We really liked the finale. Hate to see the program leave the air.

Jamie and Adam UNLEASHED was an enjoyable, humorous, and scientifically-laced production at Stephens Auditorium in Ames. I am sure that many ticketholders wondered how they could prepare a show that did not feature fire or explosives on stage. This was creatively done and also involved audience participation. Demonstrations were concepts that all could understand, from kids to adults. Also interesting were the video tours of Jamie's and Adam's workshops in California. I also enjoyed the Q and A time with both guys. They have a rigorous tour schedule for the month of December but should pull it off!

We are MB fans and drove from out of state in crummy weather to catch this show. For the price it was underwhelming. It was great to see Adam and Jamie but the demonstrations seemed too small for the venue. Adam had great energy and Jamie was Jamie. Of course they can't do some of the outrageous experiments from their TV show but if felt like a let down. Adam juggling, lying on a bed of nails, hanging from the rafters by entwined phone books, lots of helpers from the audience. One very odd bit where Jamie throws a knife and hits Adam in the arm. No, it's just a prank. The audience sat in stunned silence, confusion, and concern. Perhaps if the venue were smaller and the tickets were less expensive it would have been better. They should add bigger demonstrations for audience in the back of the theatre. I was hoping for something like the Mona Lisa paint ball machine. I'm glad I took our young MB fan but wished I had paid less. Still big fans of MB.

This was the 2nd time in a year that I have seen them. @least this time I did not have to drive 5 hours. They have a knack for keeping you interested and a lot of facts throne at you in a short amount of time so if you can take a way just a few your doing well. Would definitely see them again if they ever came around again. I will miss them very much! :-( So see them this might be your last chance!!!!!

We absolutely loved the show! Once in a lifetime experience since Jamie's going to be done with the stage at the end of the tour! Just wish I could have gotten the vip tickets so we could have met them!

My entire family enjoyed this show... My husband and I, our 13 year old son and 10 year old daughter. We are Mythbusters fans and although it would have been entertaining for non-fans, I think it held a more special place in our hearts since we were fans. Its difficult to explain what the show is... there wasn't any explosions, and there wasn't really a TON of demonstrations, but it was great nonetheless. It was very humorous and full of energy. We all left feeling a little happier.

This is the last tour to feature both Jamie and Adam, and the last season of MythBusters. And the show was exactly what it should be: A discussion of favourite myths, behind-the-scenes stories, cool math, sage wisdom and advice, and true, down-to-earth, unscripted conversation with two of the best science guys on TV.

I got tickets for this as a birthday present to myself. I got the VIP ones and it was the best experience ever. Being a follower of Mythbusters ever since the beginning, It was so surreal to actually meet them in person. It was very engaging as well as interesting. I couldn't believe how quickly the evening flew. Again, it was an AWESOME evening. I will have wonderful memories of this for the rest of my life!

Excellent stage show for a popular, long running TV program that, sadly, is in its last season. The production increased my respect for the two stars of the show, especially Adam Savage, who is a real hoot and obviously passionate about his work.

Adam and Jamie took B'More for an entertaining ride this past Saturday - they are quite the dynamic duo - my son and I had a grand time and a little boy was beside me who was thoroughly absorbed and laughing at the shenanigans - he was outwardly demonstrating how we both felt inside - which delighted all around us - I am a Myth Busters fan via my sons - but had no idea that there are so many fans who have seen some episodes multitudes of times - it was fun, engaging, balanced with righteous connections to science, engineering, math, tech (of course) but also artistry which is often over-looked - I thoroughly enjoyed myself and wish these two men and their team of supporting experts many more years of bringing fun and STEAM together!

It was great to see the guys in person after watching their show for so many years and the audience response was infectious. Only flaw was that a large screen at the rear of the stage was used quite a lot but it was impossible to see from out box seats (which were NOT listed as having limited availability). Smaller screens we could see had some of the footage cropped to fit, but we missed quite a bit, and the impact was certainly lessened.
