It had been awhile since my husband and I attended a concert at the Pageant! This was an early b'day present for my husband! Needless to say, everything was excellent! No problems with traffic, no problems with parking, we had a drink and dinner across the street @ Pi! The staff at the Pageant were wonderful! But most importantly, words cannot describe just how excellent Mama's Pride was! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! The only downside - it would have been cool had some type of plaque been presented to the band from K-SHE!!

The seating was terrible. My general admission tickets said the doors opened at 7pm. But, after we were in there with no place to sit, we heard they let in 150 people at 5:00pm and they had to scramble for a seat. We heard the line formed at 4:00pm and that is fine, but why did some people get an early start? That was not fair. I think that you could have at least had some stools to sit on by the areas upstairs where we could lean. I had to leave early, just because I couldn't stand anymore. You will have a lot of complaints on seating from this for sure! I will not do that again.

I was not in St. Louis when this band was in its heyday but I am now a major fan. Pat Liston is Gregg Allman without all the baggage and with a better range.

This was undoubtedly the BEST show Mamas Pride has done yet. Added bonus was the induction to KSHE Hall of Fame, an honor truly deserved by this group.

Great music, the only thought was they didn't have much of a show beyong playing music. It was the "basics" which brings back the purity of the era and not clouded with Vegas style showmanship. I enjoyed them.

It still amazes me that these guys can still perform at the highest level . From their driving drummer, Kevin Sanders to the magical vocals of the Liston brothers to the incredible musical talents of Max Baker, Dickie S & Paul Willette the Pride showed this generation & the many younger fans in a sold out crowd why they were & still are the best band to ever come out of St Louis. The Dogtown Horns were a nice complement & the KSHE Tribute video & ceremony was awesome! One for the Ages!!

How lucky are we? We have access to one of the most talented bands right here in "ole St. Lou". Mama's Pride did it again and put on a dynamic show, which showcased their talented musical abilities and their pitch perfect vocals. Just down right good music. They don't need any gimmicks. Their talent is all they need and they continued to show it off to all of us lucky enough to have caught the show.

For those of us that don't really know the boys in the band, Mama's Pride does a great job of making us feel like part of their family. Each one brings their own special talent and their own special way of connecting to the audience. Kevin Sanders who always remembers to "knock" on the door on Can I Call You a Cab to Paul Willet's beautiful punctuations and adornments and Dickie Steltenpohl's absolutely reliable foundations. Mama's Pride would not be who they are without these men. Max Baker applies his talent in a manner that keeps the music fresh and yet remains faithful to the songs that made them famous. Pat Liston....my God what a voice. Is there anyone, anywhere with a better primal scream? That leaves Danny Liston, they guy who isn't afraid to share his feelings. Year after year he remembers to thank everyone, not just for supporting the band but for being their friends. He is a great story teller, a fine guitarist and singer and truly a great troubadour.

Having only been introduced to Mama's Pride less than 6 months ago, and listening to the great songs on their album, I am now a true fan of a great band, who has been together for 40 plus years. It's no wonder they have such a big following. I noticed I wasn't the only guy who was grey and bald. It's amazing their music is still popular and so many people in their 50's and 60's still listen to the great sounds they put out. A true terrific lasting band. Kudos to all the members. I truly enjoyed the show and plan to be there for the next show. A great show guys!!!!

The Pageant is a wonderful place to go to a concert. I live in Southern Illinois and I have no problem going to see a band like Mama's Pride. I grew up with this band and have gone to the last 3 concerts that they have done at the Pageant. I hope they come back next year becasue I plan on being there. I also ran into many old friends from Illinois while I was there. You have a wonderful staff. Keep up the great work.

I enjoyed hearing the gang together, playing, and singing. It's back to the Old Rock and Roll music. It really rocked the Pageant. Another thing is to see the age range of the fans. Danny you ROCKED.

******* I love their music. This is my birthday present every year to myself. What better way then to spend a wonderful evening with all of them. It was great to sit with the family and with my sister's who had never been able to make the Pagent in the past. They were very impressed with everything.

I don't know what's more amazing...That Mama's Pride didn't hit it to the top of the charts and stay there for a long time...or that they can still bring it with the best. What a treat to see a group of real pros...still all together & kicking and obviously enjoying what they're doing...wish they played more times together...a MUST for the Holidays!

Another great show by the best band to come out of St. Louis, only wish they played more often than once a year. This is the third Mama's pride show I've been to and they always sound fresh. When Pat Liston sings the blues, no one does it better.

The Pride of St. Louis , Mama's Pride sold out The Pageant and showed that they still have the fine form that made bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, The Charlie Daniels Band and The Outlaws, take notice years ago. The high level show on Saturday night was reminiscent of the live jams of all of these bands in years past. Pat Liston was in perfect form (as expected). Danny Liston still has all of his skills. Kevin Saunders on drums was spot on all night and Max Baker played lead guitar that would have made Dickey Betts raise an eyebrow. The whole band truly played great all night. This band probably might have won national acclaim if Lynyrd Skynyrd s plane had not crashed. Ronnie Van Zandt had plans to produce Mama Pride and take them on a Lynyrd Skynyrd tour. Well, the plane went down and perhaps it s all for the best. The band is still alive and intact while many of their old friends have now passed. The Pride of St. Louis rocked the Pageant and smoked the crowd. These guys still have it. Thanks Mama s Pride!!! A +
