Great performance. This group of actors/actresses was outstanding. I saw this play last year but I thought this cast was far superior. Taylor Hicks was his adorable entertaining self!

Negatives: The show was, vulgar, a lot of sexual gestures, references, etc...over the top...I took my 13 yo for her birthday and was embarrassed...the smoke from the cigarettes they smoked on stage (fake or not) was overwhelming in the Orchrastra seating, the second half was better than the first, almost no smoking, and the vulgarity was much better. The hallways and bathrooms were SO crowded. And the prices to the merchandise was outrageous! Postitives: The actors were great, the songs were great, the music was greast, the props were great, and TAYLOR was great! It was wonderful to be able to meet him!

We are rarely disapointed with the PACs offerings and Grease was no exception, The warm up by Vince was just perfect. See it, See it, See it. Grease Is The Word.

The cast did a very good job of making it all seem fresh and new. The pre-opening with the DJ character getting the audience warmed up was unexpected and a lot of fun!My favorite moment was when the young (maybe 9 or 10) idol crazed girl sitting behind me went crazy when Taylor Hicks made his entrance from the over sized ice cream cone over the malt shop. It was like watching the Beatle fans on the Ed Sullivan show.

"Grease" at the Fox Cities PAC was a wonderful experience. It's amazing how a few people can create so much enthusiasm. The scene where they transformed the car was unbelievable.

As a teenager of the 70's, "Grease" was the youth treatment I needed. The show reawakened the energy and the life in me. In our dreams we all can wear those tight black pants that Sandy wore!

The musical was awesome! Didn't think it needed the headliner of Taylor Hicks, especially when he only appeared for one song...the musical can stand on it's own without his name. It was a nice added touch though, and cool of him to come out after the show was over to do a song. Back to the musical, the stage was great, props and set was outstanding, and the actors were awesome!

Took my 2-daughters to see Grease at the Fisher. We had been anticipating the play for weeks and couldn't wait to attend. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the casts' performance. Sandy hardly ever smiled during the entire performance, and I'm pretty sure she did during the original movie. Rizzo was good, a bit sharp but decent. Danny did not sing enough or have enough stage presence for me. Frenchy was FABULOUS! Taylor Hicks......OMG. Awful. I'm assuming he tipped bck a few cocktails prior to his performance that night. And if I was Sandy i would of slapped him a good one for his starring. The (much older) women behind me loved him though. I've seen quite a few plays and this was probably the least likely I'd see again. We plan to see Wicked next, hopefully it will be awesome!!

Grease was just "ok". Taylor Hicks was definately the high point, but he was only in the show for a few meer minutes :( I've seen Grease before at the Weidner and was "wowed" by it ~ this show didn't compare. Seemed a little like a high school show.

I went to Grease with 3 other friends and we all hated it. If we hadn't paid so much for our tickets, we were going to leave before it was finished. The acting was bad, there were songs and scenes that were not in the movies. There were also times when we couldn't even hear what the actors were saying. It was also very annoying how they tried to get the crowd involved before and during the show. Having all the different sections sing and dance was obnoxious. I didn't come there to hear all of those people, I wanted to enjoy the show and that did not happen. I would not recommend Grease to anyone!

I love Grease, always have.....the only tiny itsy bitsy thing that I would've changed was the voices of the girls. They all sounded a bit nasally, where usually only Frenchie does. Other than that, it was awesome! I would highly recommend seeing it and when it comes back, I will be there.

I have to say that Grease is my favorite thing ever invented! I have been to New York twice to see Grease on Broadway. I in no way thought that Grease put on by the First Coast Arts Festival could be anywhere near as good as the Broadway show with Laura and Max. I was wrong. It was fabulous!! Rizzo absolutely made the show! The singing was as good as it gets. The actors and actresses had the best time on the stage. You could tell they absolutely loved what they were doing. It was pouring rain when we saw it and we were in an outside Amphitheater with just a cover over us. You would have thought it was a beautiful day! I would see it again and again! I totally give it two thumbs up!! Great job!

The event was at an open air amphitheatre. That night it was pouring rain. There was a play in progress before this one started, so they made us all wait outside in the rain until the other play was over, which ended up running 15 minutes late, before we could even be seated. I was also under the impression that the play was a traveling broadway production and it featured American Idol star Taylor Hicks. It did not, it was just a group of local actors from my nearby alma mater University of Florida. They even had girls playing a guys part. Totally unbelievable. I was disappointed at the cost I spent for the tickets just to see a local play production. I would not recomend this to anyone!

Overall it was fun. I was expecting it to follow the movie a little more closely than it did. Also, it was out of sequence, but I understand you have to adapt to the stage size. People taking their young daughters found it to be a little more risque than what the movie is, so be careful on that one. I do recommend it, but go with knowing it is different and not the Grease you fell in love with on the big screen. The actors were really good.

I thought the cast did a wonderful job voices are great, however I wish I had known it was a little more graphic than the movie I probably would not have taken young girls. I also could have done without the real smoke I thought it would have had the same effect with unlit cigarettes our clothes smelled like smoke. I don't mean to sound like it did not like it because I honestly enjoyed it and thought everyone did a great job.

Could have been Amazing! The music was great, dancing so enjoyable, voices amazing! But you had to make it 'R' rated/ I was offended and so was my grandaughter. You took it to a level of being an uncomfortable experience. The kids could have rough around the edges and off color but not vulgar. Not my idea of how to spend my time on a Sunday afternoon or Saturday night, for that matter. Sorry, you took a walk down memory lane to a new low. As my grandaughter said, it was inappropriate. I had found your children series dark and unenjoyable but thought that had maybe been my imagination. Quit children shows a long time ago. But gave adult show another try. Think I am done with Casa.

I think that this show should have had a warning/note to parents of children under the age of 13 yrs. I wanted to share my generations' "High School Musical" experience with my daughters (ages 3 and 8 years), and I was disappointed in the excessive use of sexual gestures and the constant smoking displayed throughout the show. The theater did provide a warning at the theater (too late since I had already purchased the tickets). I think that the movies' themes and messages could have been clearly communicated if the director had opted for a presentation involving fewer sexual gestures and smoking scenes. I also thought that the story of Danny and Sandy was a little weak resulting in a stronger message encouraging the viewer to "run to the dark side" rather than meeting others half way (in a relationship). It was my first "Casa Manana" experience and I was very disappointed. I spent most of the show covering my nose. The theater was filled with smoke.

I bought tickets for my whole family to see Grease this past Saturday evening. I was very disappointed with some of the language used during the production as my daughters are only 9 and 12 and I didn't see any notifications when purchasing the tickets that it was really only suitable for older kids perhaps older than15! Also one of the characters saw fit to "moon" the audience on a regular basis and altho' this would have been funny if it was just my husband and I, I really didn't enjoy my young daughters watching an adult male show off his naked backside!! Also the warning that there would be cigerette smoking during the performance was only displayed as we were walking into the auditorium ...a little late to turn back after we now all had our tickets!!! My youngest and husband are asthmatics and were struggling to breath after just the 1st act! The entire cast seemed to be smoking....REALLY VERY UNNECESSARY !!! Also Sandy was not well cast...her voice was way too shrill and saprano! Otherwise I guess it was a so-so performance by everyone else!

Grease was a lot of fun. We loved the music, the actors, the dancing, and all the memories Grease brought with it. We were, however, surprised at just how much chain smoke there was. Whew, that might have kept us away if.we had realized how much cigarette smoke was planned. We were also disappointed at all the artistic liberty taken to make the scenes "dirtier" - all the "humping" movements by the guys was over the top. A little would have been funny, but the exaggerated amount (along w Danny making love to the hood of his car) detracted from and cheapened the end product. The original music and situations, which this cast copied FABULOUSLY, was so much fun, that it was kind of a shame for the overkill "humping" and overkill on guy jokes to have been added to the point of detracting.

The performance was less than expected and the poorest directing of all of the Grease stage shows that I've seen. The actors were okay. The band was good. I thought the set and music was wonderful but the performs were not very impressive for me. I must admit I visit NY a lot and make it a habit to always catch a show on Broadway so maybe my judgement is tainted. I thought younger actors with more energy would have been better for a play with a high school setting. I was embarrassed for the children in attendance and for their parents. The Grease storyline is, of course, that girls with high principles can't be popular. Having been in college in 1959, I know of course that wasn't true then. But to younger people in view of today's moral values (or lack thereof) I am sure it seems a reasonable idea. Having seen this show at least six times (twice on Broadway, once at Bass Hall, once at Granbury Opera House, and once at Weatherford High School--not to mention the movie many times), we were well aware of the plot. But this production was really unnecessarily tacky. It included two times when the audience was actually mooned by one of the T-Birds, and I believe every scene included innumerable vulgar hip thrusts and bump and grinds. This seemed to be the actors' only idea of characterization. The performance of Danny simulating sex atop the hood of the Greased Lightnin' car was certainly distasteful. Singing was great, acting was sadly lacking. I would attribute to the director the tasteless and clumsy attempts to portray teen hormonal emotions.

As a Birmingham resident, of course, Taylor Hicks' performance was exactly what we were hoping for and expecting -- entertaining, arresting and very, very exciting. He's a born performer and a crowd pleaser. Taylor Hicks was the hit of the show. Danny and Sandy were not in love with each other--I don't think there were even in "LIKES" with each other--so the chemistry wasn't there between them and it showed. But it was a good show. The boys were way better than the girls both vocally, dancing and energy. But it was worth going--especially if you are a big Idol fan like I am.

The music was awesome, the cast was great and meeting Taylor Hicks afterward made my year! I was so excited to purchase tickets to see Grease after seeing my all-time favorite movie who knows how many times. Then was pleasantly surprised at the changes to the storyline (but parent's this is NOT for the youngsters). The original movie, this is not. I actually think it is played out much better. One downfall to the extremely talented cast was the actress who played Sandy. While she had a beautiful voice and the reprise of Sandra D was her best effort, she seemed to be too classically trained to pull this part off in a believable fashion. She needed to let loose more, when she tried it seemed as though she was over trying. But Kudoos to the cast and being such a small cast at that made it even more impressive!

I was very disappointed. It appeared to be more like a high school play than an professional one. Some of the signature songs from 'Grease' were not even sung..for example when Sandy was singing 'Hopelessly Devoted To You" That one is a signature song for certain. Other songs that were sung, some were in the movie and some we had never heard of. I would go see it as a high school play but for the price of this I definitely would not recommend it. Sorry to say as Grease is one of my very favorites!

We loved how close it was related to the movie, even though a few scenes and songs had to be changed up a bit. We were happy that some of the songs like ' Summer lovin, Beauty School drop out, look at me I'm Sandra Dee,Those magic Changes and The worst things I could do' and more were included and done so well. We were slightly disappointed on a few of our faves that were left out or changed, like' You're the one that I want, Hopelessly Devoted, sandy" but we realize this is the way it goes with copyrights and music. We were confused on the whole dance contest scene with no Sandy, and how Cha Cha came out looking nothing like her sexy character, seemed randomly out of place... but overall we had a blast and could sit through it again and have just as much fun. Our daughter was thrilled to meet the cast after the show and have pics and aughtographs. 5 stars!

I have been enjoying the stage play of Grease for years. It has always been fun to see the different perceptions and sets, songs and actors....as each play/venue has twitted it a little differently....I enjoyed interacting with the young kids before the play all dressed in character of the grease troupe. They had such energy. I was a little concerned for their ages since the dialog and references and some physical dancing and movements were more adult than pg...but even our commercials are too adult these days for most of the viewers. The troupe was very talented....it was fun...what fantastic voices these young actors have - wow. Great play - great rendition. HOW ABOUT PUTTING INTO YOUR PRODUCTION....THE FANTASTIKS..;..NOW THAT IS ONE HECK OF A PLAY....I WOULD LOVE TO SEE IT PERFORMED AGAIN. GREAT STORY LINE FOR ALL AGES...

I was in grade school when Grease was being workshopped and doing trial runs before opening on Broadway and the subsequent national tours. I was in High School when the film came out and saw it opening weekend, and several repeat viewings that summer! GREASE is a popular stage musical with schools and community Theatres and I have seen my fair share. You soon learn that there are songs in the stage version and songs in the movie version that don't appear in the other! If you want to see an authentic production of the stage production; then I recommend you see one directed by an original cast member of the stage production and Thousand Oaks, Cabrillo Music Theater did just that; they hired former STAGE AND MOVIE cast members with Barry Pearl directing and Kelly Ward choreographing! It was wonderful! We especially loved Frenchy, played by Tessa Grady, a young triple threat destined for big things! Kudos to the entire staff, cast and crew! BRAVO!

The performance of this classic was outstanding! The ensemble cast female standouts were Rizzo Frenchy, and Patty. Rizzo's solo was perfection, she had the character down the minute she walked onstage. Patty Sue's comic timing was right on, would have liked to see more of her. The males were all great, Kinnikie, had the most charisma onstage and a stand out voice. The only negative, unfortunately was Sandy. There was no stage presence, very vanilla, at the end when she transitions to bad girl, she should have had more energy and her voice should have been stronger. She was still vanilla just dressed different. Staging and direction spot on.

The accents, especially with the girls, were so over the top, and they took their voices up 2 octaves to do it, became so distracting. It was odd to see songs during a musical when the actors picked up microphones to sing them! I've never seen that before, unless it was a prop, which they used in some scenes as well. The prop 50's mics were cool, but the others were just weird.

I paid Broadway money for a high school level musical. Most of the iconic music of the movie was either changed or not sang at all. It was good but not worth more than $10 per ticket.

My girlfriend, our daughters and I were so excited about seeing this show. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed. First off, there must have been a problem with the sound equipment because the lead performers were holding microphones while singing. That is completely unacceptable for a stage performance! Our 10 year old daughters are very familiar with the movie. They recognized and constantly commented on the fact that not only were the songs being sung out of order; but they were being sung by the wrong characters. In addition, the new songs created for this stage production were not particularly moving. The idea of bringing "Grease" to the stage is a wonderful idea and apparently very challenging. Sadly, this production needs to go back to the drawing board. I would have liked to have heard more of the original songs (adored by many), seen a larger supporting cast (allowing for a much more dynamic/exciting show), and better costumes. It was a gallant effort but I wouldn't recommend it. The show fell way short of my expectations and I would really like my money back!!!

Outstanding production. Acting, singing, music very well done. Lots of energy, fun, feel good. A must see. It was great entertainment. All the performers were well cast and came through with solid, fabulous performances. Well worth the price of admission.

I went with a group of 5 people of varying ages and we all just felt something was missing and it did not meet our expectations. First, our favorite song "You're The One That I Want" was not part of the program. The use of hand-held microphones and stand-up microphones was distracting and restricted movement by the cast. The sound was not clear at times. The actors themselves changed the set scenes by moving the props in and out which was visible to the audience. There were some enjoyable moments, but overall was a disappointment.

My daughter and I enjoy it very much, the whole evening was wonderful. From the proposal in the audience and all the former actors who were in the original Grease. It was such a a great musical I recommend it highly, the only thing I was a little disappointed with was the ending, I was looking foward to hearing I got chills there multiplying, but did not get to see that because they went in a different. Regardless Loved it!

I was expecting more. Performers actually had to use corded mikes and at times it was hard to hear the lead singer as the background singers drowned him/her out. My family did enjoy the show, but we were expecting a little higher quality of the venue.

My daughter and I had a great time at the Grease musical! We loved the music, dancing and the variety of the cast. Members included seasoned actors and introduced new talent. The vintage costumes and set were also very typical of the 50's era and of course very appropriate and aesthetically pleasing! Overall, we had a wonderful time and would recommend this show to anyone.

I was only an average show. The cast looked very tired and some did not even sing when all chorus sang.

Very much enjoyed the show. Wish it would have began before 8 pm. It was a little lengthy. "Sandy" was my least favorite character.

Kind of surprised that they changed the storyline quite a bit but overall, it was a very good play; actors were excellent and the crowd interaction with the DJ Fontaine was a hoot! Loved the way they found to include information for the area (gift from State Farm:) Would go see again and will definately recommend to my friends! Also, never did see Eddie Mekka like advertised...

I was very disappointed in the Grease performance at ISU in Normal Saturday, April 9. It is hard for me to believe that these were the best singers and actors available. Overacting and weak singing made this a very difficult performance to watch. The only redeeming part of the whole show was Rizzo singing "There Are Worse Things I Could Do." Also, the energy that finally came through at the end of the performance could have been used throughout the entire show to make it more enjoyable. I recommend not wasting your money.

I was excited to see Eddie Mekka in Grease, but was tremendously disappointed to find him nowhere in the show without any acknowledgement of his absence. I was also disappointed by the overall performance. The songs are so familiar that when the actors come in late, it is obvious. Also, the actors didn't seem to be able to keep the same tempo in their singing as the band did in their playing. I would have been better off saving the money on tickets and watching the movie on TNT. The students that attend ISU could have put on a better performance than these "professionals" did.

Even though the show was very good, I was disappointed as I bought the tickets and traveled out of town, as it was adverised that Eddie Mecca was in the show. Not only was he not in the show, they never announced why not. The show was playing in the town where I live, bur Eddie Mecca wasn't advertised, so I traveled out of town because of this. Anyway, the show was very good and I still enjoed it.

Absolutely Awesome show. Fantastic music. The orchestra was perfect. The performers were some of the best I have heard. Special mention to "Rizzo" for her voice and personality.

This show was a disappointment. While the before show entertainment was great to get the crowd into the mood, the actual show didn't live up to expectations. The one bright spot in the whole cast was the young lady who played "Rizzo" - she was phenomenal. Unfortunately the other members of the cast did not live up to her level of competence. The production did not even meet levels of performance I have observed in local community theater. Perhaps our local theaters are a cut above the norm, but one billed with a "Broadway" title are expected to impress. Unfortunately this one did not.
