The show was simply wonderful! I feel that this is a great concept for new artists to showcase their voices acoustically and really show off their God given talents. We also get to discover how personable most of these artists are and get some insight about their songs and their lives. The downside of the evening was the clowns running around telling people not to take flash photography. That is understandable since they disclaim "NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY" before the performance starts, but when one of those clowns comes up to you and tells you "NO PHOTOS ALLOWED" when you don't use a flash, it doesn't really make you want to support the arts and continue to buy tickets for any event at UB. This is the third time I've gone and it's the same song and dance EVERY TIME.

All 3 acts were great. The Band Perry was amazing with there singing and playing. The mandolin changes the way the music sounds over just using guitars. I was glad they finally played "If I die Young". They were very relaxed and joking with the crowd and other performers. Steel Magnolia opened up asking for the man that sang with Megan last year. Josh was funny, he would say whatever he was thinking, even when it embarassed Megan. They sounded great and sang some old songs and new songs. Danny was great. He sang alot of songs from his new album. He was very open with the crowd and explained the story behind writing certain songs This is always a good show. The singers are relaxed and everything is informal. It gives you a look at their personalities.

Danny Gokey puts on a awesome show and even if you are not a country music fan you will definitely become a huge fan after one show. I have been to four shows and I am a fan forever. When Danny sings 'Will Not Say Goodbye', you will fall in love. Then Steel Magnolia is a duo never seen since Johnny Cash and June Carter, they are so sweet and they can sing. I have been fortune to also meet both artists after the shows and they love their fans. You will love them...

I've enjoyed all of WYRK's Acoustic shows, but this one was one of their best! I can't say who I liked more-- Danny Gokey's heartfelt lyrics and powerful vocals, Meghan and Josh's (Steel Magnolia) sense of humor and dynamite harmonies, or The Band Perry's down home country appeal along with their incredible musical skills! My favorite activity in Nashville is going to the songwriter's cafes and these Acoustic shows are as close as you'll get to that type of performance in WNY. I loved it!

The bands were great together and the music was awesome! The only bad thing was anytime you brought out a camera the usher came over and yelled at you. I can't remember how many times they leaned over me and blocked my view during the show.

Loved the Christmas show. Danny was great and Natalie is the bomb. Vocally, they far exceeded the other 2 groups...well, we left after Natalie/before Tenth Avenue North (we'd been there almost 3 hours!). Great variety, set, videos.

We love KLOVE and listen to their music exclusively. But, we were a little disappointed in this concert. Natalie Grant was by far the best and frankly, she hit it out of the park. Each of the other groups (Danny Goeky, Sidewalk Prophets and Twnth Avenue North) were pretty good as well, just not as strong as Natalie Grant. Sometimes at concerts it's disappointing to hear how the singers really sound (versus what you hear on the cd) but not here. However, they use a ton of tracks instead of playing the music live. The concert felt very long. By the time Tenth Avenue North hit the stage we were all looking at our watches and wondering if we ought to take off early. It didn't feel long because of the amount of songs each group played, though. It felt long because between each group we had to wait for them to re-set the stage. Also, they played video clips that were the band members chatting... They just weren't enough to hold our attention. And, during the last set they were playing a series of juvenile videos about a Yeti. It was really quite dumb. We just wanted a concert with beautiful music to celebrate Christmas and it would have been perfect if they had cut out all of the dead space and long, chatty videos in between. If the transitions could have been better (and shorter!) and the music was all live we probably would have really enjoyed it.

It has been a long time coming, but when Danny Gokey walked out on that Dallas HOB stage everyone cheered and clapped, and they didn't stop until it was over. This concert showed me a renewed, energetic, and happier looking Danny than what I had been seeing. That mood was clearly transferred to the audience who smiled while they sang along, clapping and dancing, while standing at the front of that stage. His newly released song Hope in Front of Me was well received by the crowd and he played every song off the new CD. The new songs, typical Danny Gokey feel good tunes were good for all ages. He also included a Motown set which gave us a chance to hear him do some of what he did on American Idol, PYT, I Want You Back, and his audition song for that show, I Heard It Through the Grapeviine. My personal favorite of the night, his new It's Not Over, unfortunately meant it was, because it ended his show. It was an intimate setting for a great performance and I appreciated the lack of camera police, and the friendliness of Danny's band. Danny was gracious to fans himself, doing a short signing at the end of the show.

Fabulous show with Danny. He is truly becoming an excellent performer. Great venue, all seats were great. He interacted with the audience and it was like one big family in the theater. After the show, Danny took time to sign autographs for everyone. My three teenagers and I were the last in line and he still took time to thank us for coming and supporting him. You'd never know he had just performed for almost 2 hours, then over an hour of autographs. I will most certainly go to any other Danny Gokey concerts that come up. MR. GOKEY - THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL EVENING!!!!

An awesome concert. Didn't know some of the songs, that turned out to be okay. Danny is a great performer, and got the audience involved multiple times from singing to dancing. Loved the performances of Sophia's Heart group. I had a great time, and most definitely recommend this to everyone.

Danny Gokey was the star of the show and just was an amazing act to watch. The Band Perry was also excellent. Steel Magnolia could have tried less to "entertain" and be funny. I love the acoustic atmosphere and would recommend it to anyone and the hall at UB offers an intimate atmosphere and a great seat from anywhere in the house. I can't wait to see the next lineup.

I had no idea what I was going to see except for Steel Magnolia; however, all three acts were great in their own individual way. Danny Gokey and his band were on-point and professional; however they lacked that silly warmth that came from Steel Magnolia and the rawness of the Band Perry - who in my opinion and as it was with others that I overheard - stole a big part of the show! Definitely will go next Fall if I can! Keep an eye out for that Band Perry!

The whole show was amazing. All the performers were so connected with the audience. My favorite was Danny without a doubt. I have been following him since he has been on American Idol. It was one of my greatest concerts that I've been to. Then, I thought it was so great that all the performers came out and did a meet and greet after the concert. I of course chose to see Danny and he couldn't of been any nicer. Both myself and my niece went on each side of him to take a photo but unfortunately for us both our cell phone and our camera went dead but the gentlemen taking the pictures for everyone really did try with our camera and Danny was really patient. At least I have the memory!!!!!

The concert was really great. I loved the acoustic part and the fact that the artist were very personal. The only part I didn't like was Danny Gokey. He's hardly country and an acoustic country show doesn't involve a piano.

This is the 2nd acoustic show sponsored by 106.5 WYKR that I've attended and dragged my husband to. He can't wait until the next time! I haven't been disappointed by any of WYRK's acoustic shows at UB's Center for the Arts... this was another treat. I am not a big fan of Danny Gokey. He does a lot of sappy love songs that mostly appeal to the ladies and/or fans of AI. Still, he had a nice stage presence and sounded good live. Steel Magnolia was a blast. I love they way they poke fun at each other and every song is a well-timed duet. And nothing but great things to say about the Band Perry. They brought the youthful exuberance and Kim has a wonderful voice.

I really wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first show attended but I was very pleasantly surprised. It was wonderful hearing their great voices with just guitar as background verses loud background music that drowns out their voices. They all had great voices and it was nice just hearing them.
