Please do everything you can to see them perform live. I am one of the freaks who came to the party a bit late, but I have never been disappointed by any of Flight of the Conchords efforts. Saturday's show was late, windy, and utterly amazing. The absurdity of the music is so well complimented by their banter that even from 13 rows back and to the left, you have the feeling of sitting and watching two of your funniest friends riff for a couple hours. I couldn't recommend them more.

Definitely lived up to expectations and then some... If you're a fan of the show, you have to go! Or if you're a fan of laughing, then go! I dragged my girlfriend along, she had not seen the show before or heard much of their music before the show, and she also loved it!

I had a blast at this show. It was the most fun I have had at any live event I've ever attended. I loved the old songsite, but what I was surprised at was how good all the new songs were. Arj Barker was the opening act and was also funny as heck. If you get the chance, whether you are familiar with them or not, catch this show and you will have a great time.

From beginning to end, Flight of the Conchords entertained with their quirky brand of humor, telling funny stories and singing zany songs. They did many songs from the current season and several old favorites, with new additions that delighted. A few other songs were also introduced and very enjoyable. It was certainly a thrilling show, great for old fans and fun for new ones.

I don't think I have ever laughed more and enjoyed myself so much at Red Rocks. The soothing acoustic sound that is Iron and Wine pulled everyone in for the night. Arj Barker was incredibly funny, and Flight of the Conchords were nothing less if not more than I expected them to be. They perfected their live sound/dance/act. It was an incredible night, one to remember and one to repeat!

I was first introduced to FOTC about a year ago and thought they were hilarious. When I found out that they were coming to town, I was quick to purchase tickets (I was even late for my doctor's appointment!) My boyfriend had never heard of them, but I was making him go anyway. I purchased the DVD to get him acquainted. I ended up getting 2 more tickets for a friend of mine and her boyfriend too. I was afraid that they would turn out to be awful live, but the stand up comic they had, Arj Barker, set the mood - he was hilarious! Once Bret and Jemaine got up there, though, it exceeded my highest expectations. And the fact that they had it at Red Rocks was even more spectacular - I had never been there! After the concert we all sang the songs at work and at home and cracked up even more. Overall it was one of the best concerts I have been to!

I am a huge fan of FOTC and loved both seasons of their show on HBO. They were just as funny live as they are on the TV show. Their opening acts were wonderful (Iron and Wine, and Arj Barker). They do not move around on stage at all, so this really is more like a comedy show than a concert. They asked everyone to sit down almost immediately, which normally I would be okay with...other than sitting down I could not see anything. If we would have been able to stand, you can usually move a little bit to get a view. It was nice of them to be polite, but I felt a little restricted like I shouldn't stand up because it might upset those behind me. I was a little disappointed because I really wanted to SEE the show. I also wanted to get some FOTC gear, but they had such a bare selection to choose from. I think I had a choice between a tote bag and a tote bag. Items were not worth the price tag. Overall, this was worth the ticket price as I was entertained and enjoyed it. I do think I'll be choosing music for my next Red Rocks outing, though.

This show was loads of fun. Iron & Wine was entertaining and had the perfect atmosphere to mellow the crowd so that everyone could enjoy the comedy of Arj Barker, followed shortly by the hilariously genious lyrics of Flight Of The Conchords. If I could I would see this show, and only this show for the rest of my life! And speaking as a musician, it was fantastic.

FOTC definitely has their own unique brand of humor. We enjoyed their show, but wish we'd known there was an opener, as we would've adjusted our arrival time to miss it. Why don't they tell you you'll be waiting over an hour after the time printed on the ticket?

All three performers did very well. The mix between Arj Barker/FotC and Iron & Wine was unusual, but it worked. All three were wonderful live, and Redrocks only enhanced the concert experience. Coming from a diehard FotC fan who now lives in Dunedin, New Zealand, this review should can be trusted.

I was extremely excited to see that Flight of the Conchords was touring again. I had made the trip from upstate NY to see them in Boston in 2009 and decided to do the same for this show. It was so completely worth the trip, and worth the wait as weather delayed things a bit. Old favorites, new unheard songs and material, the amazingly clever yet awkward intelligent humor and conversation that makes Brett & Jemaine so endearing is still going strong. I was a bit amazed to be reminded that not only are they smart and funny, they are also extremely talented when it comes to music. If you are a Flight of the Conchords fan, this is a must see.

The venue, Blue Hills Bank Pavilion, was great. Almost all of the seats were underneath the canopy. Aside from the concession prices, which weren't overly expensive, the whole place was fun and enjoyable. Great bathrooms, great seating, and the different types of food and drink. Beautiful scenery, right on the water. Eugene Mirman was hilarious. His style of comedy meshed well with that of the Conchords. I would definitely see him if he were a headliner. Flight of the Conchords was better than expected. I expected great things from them, I've been a fan for years, but they surpassed my expectations. Their banter is just as good as their songs. I would love to see them again. Great atmosphere and great energy.

I love FOTC and thought they put on a very funny show. They did a good balance of old, new, and funny chatter between songs. The only problem was the sound at the venue. I sat in the 15th row, toward Bret's side of the stage, and could not hear Jemain's guitar for a lot of the concert. But when I moved to the standing area in the far back, the show sounded fine. Also, I found it difficult to hear a lot of what Jemain was saying. His low voice needed to be EQ'd differently to make him understandable. I had fun but have been consistently disappointed with the sound at Blue Hills Bank Pavilion

Everything I knew it would be. So hilarious and awesome and worth every penny.
Lots of great new material that is just as funny if not funnier than all of what we already know. I am hoping this is a nod to an HBO FOTC's movie or a season 3 of the show. This was the first big concert we have seen since moving to Nashville and are glad we chose this fantastic New Zealand duo. ...or are they Australian - JK!
Talented, clever, endlessly funny. If you have only seen the HBO show treat yourself. Loved "Summer of 1353" and "Father and Son". Even their interludes are funny. So glad I got to see them!
I have been a fan of FotC for many years, starting with their HBO series. I even had the privilege to see them perform at the Vector Arena in Auckland, NZ. Their shows are always witty, and their songs are hilarious. They are very talented, and came with new material prepared. The opening act, Arj Barker, was hysterical.
These guys are brilliant. Their songs are hilarious. The lawn at the Ampitherater was a perfect setting to kick back on a blanket with my wife and have a few drinks. I had a bunch of lol moments throughout the night. Definitely go to this show if you have the chance.
Without a doubt this was the funniest and most entertaining show I have seen! I love these guys and didn't know what to expect at a live show. The show was better than I ever dreamed it would be. Go see it!!!
My husband and I went with our adult children. We expected to hear more music from the tv series. We had previously watched the series, which we found quirky and amusing. Our kids enjoyed the event, but I found it vulgar and hard to follow. I preferred the tv series.
They were awesome! The show was great. They were hilarious and did a good mix of old songs and really hilarious new ones. If you loved the t.v. show, you'll love this show too!
I was nervous about the venue due to bad reviews I had read, but we did not have any issues. Our hotel shuttle was running behind, so we did not arrive until show time. I was dismayed when I saw the long line to get it, but it went quickly and they did not start the show until the majority had entered (15-20 min late). The seats were comfortable if a tad bit narrow and we had a great view. Flight of the Conchords gives a great concert - very funny! It was everything I dreamed it would be and more. A little less cursing would be nice, but that would not keep me from seeing them again.
I had never seen or heard of them but my sister wanted to go and I was pleasantly surprised. We laughed the whole time. Great chemistry with these two guys and you could tell a lot of their stuff was in the moment not scripted which made it even better.

Being literal, I think this was the best concert I've ever gone to. I anticipated them being funny, and they exceeded that anticipation. However, I did not think their music would be as good live. Honestly, I would have preferred to see these guys several years ago. This was a slightly milder version of the FotC I'm used to, but that didn't make the show unenjoyable. They were still funny/silly & even played some newer tracks (one or two of which Jemaine forgot how to play - so funny), as well as a lot of old favorites. The presence of Nigel (a/k/a the New Zealand Orchestra) was also freaking great. And who can resist a good ole' fashioned recorder solo? Opener David O' Doherty had a very similar style & provided a decent beginning to the show.

The Flight of the Conchords in Mountain View, CA, June 28th. **FOTC to Fans*** The Greatest Novelty Band in New Zealand ... of all time and Largest "Rock Band" (there is only two others so this is the Greatest Band by this much) played to a 96.34% sold out outdoor theater. About 10,000 (some say 20,000) fans were well treated to their 1 hour and 50 minutes of playing. They asked twice not to phone video tape the show was a bit of a bummer but many (as I) did sneak here and there moments of their act. Robots was quite fun to record. Not really a Sing along.... only near the end did Bret manage to get the crowd to sing along with the "I' am a Seagull... AUWWW AUWWW" new song. The Crowd was fairly older with 20's to 60's year old range. Think average age was like 35 to 45. I am 53 and had lovely57 year old wife along with me pluse my 18 and 25 year old children. We all enjoyed the show.. They did not do a few classic songs and played many "new" songs that have not been released. I was hoping for Inter City Pressure but nooooooooo. No "Business Time" nor "Hippopotamus" nor other favorites but still, worth it. Think they Skipped the "Hippopotamus" for Jemaine Clement.= would make all the women in the first two rows pregnant... the lawsuits do mount up. I sat in Row B, section 101, about 30 feet from them. Great seats, but cold when the wind picked up at Shoreline Theater. They really need to fix up the Male Bathrooms...rather neglected and feel like "Public" bathrooms in a big city.. Bret and Germain banter back and forth was priceless (well, worth the $75 I paid for the seats). The opening acts were funny too but would have been great if Murry from the TV show showed up and "Called an Emergency Band Meeting" ...... I would have preferred a bit less new material and some classical and reference to the TV show. Doing the song "Robots" with Jemaine having an Arn Still, 5 Seagulls of 5 in my rating. I honestly didn't think that Bret & Jemaine with their random assortment of instruments (acoustic guitar, omnichord, ukelele, Casio DG-20 electric guitar, synthesizer, Nigel & his cello, a recorder, a xylophone and a tiny red piano) were going to be enough to fill the Hollywood Bowl to even half of it's capacity. I'm happy to admit that I was wrong. Not only did they almost sell out the Bowl, they captivated the audience (which happened to also be populated with a few familiar celeb faces), and send us into wild hysterical laughter throughout their entire performance. Truly an unforgettable evening. Next year's tour cannot arrive soon enough!!!!

i love concert firsts... first time seeing an artist or group and first time in a new venue. although i love the HBO show,i wasn't sure what to expect from Flight of the Conchords live. any concerns were quickly washed away when Brett & Jemain took the stage at the UC Berkeley Greek Theatre opening with that awesome number about robots in the distant future. the house was filled to capacity (or near, anyway) and the sweet mingled scent of eucalyptus trees, patchouli & medical grade cannabis filled the fresh bay air along with the laughs of the thousands of humans. the evening proceeded nicely with a stream of hits, old favorites and new numbers, that kept the audience enthralled and laughing throughout. all in all, a great evening of fun entertainment and a great venue (i can't wait to see my next show here!)

Two Words: Red Rocks. FOTC was hilarious, would you think otherwise?? sound was spectacular but I really wish I would of seen a more musical act for me flying out there + I&W started playing while I was in a huge line and I only saw Sam play the last song (which was amazing) but he was solo w/out band..? They were one of top bands ever from acl last year so I was super excited to see them as a band.. GO SEE THEM both if you ever get a chance, just don't fly out to colorado to see them at red rocks or anything (FOTC) they would be funny on the side of street! I&W would be awesome there as a band though.

FOTC put on an amazing show, as usual. The banter between themselves and the crowd was awesome, and their set list was top notch. They are a great live "band" - New Zealand's biggest bad in terms of numbers :-) - and they know how to entertain. Not to be missed.

This rescheduled event was well worth the wait. The duo are just as awesome as ever, and the mix of new and old material was quite fun. I prefer concerts where the artists engage the audience more, either with jokes or by giving background on songs or themselves, and they certainly did not disappoint. Even when Brett forgot the lyrics, they still made it fun, so it worked. Never smiled so much or enjoyed myself so much!

FOTC was awesome, they played for over 2 hours and performed 3 songs for their encore! They were so funny and charming. The only negative thing I could say is that they showed the first row on the big screen and there were several empty seats and when I tried to buy my tickets, I clicked "best available" so I don't understand why those seats were not an option if they didn't completely sell out. I would have paid top dollar to sit in the front, especially because the front row got to high-five Bret and Jemaine! Anyways, awesome show and Demetri Martin was HILARIOUS, literally everything he said was funny. Loved it!

Dmitri Martin opened the show, so that means that the entire Flight of the Conchords and the Original Flight of the Conchords were both on stage. I've seen FotC live three times now, and each time has been a great show. Musically, the boys were a little rusty, as they themselves acknowledged, but that just left more opportunities for comic ad libs, at which they excel. I'm always impressed by the range of their musicianship (for a couple of stand-up comics, as each of them played at least four different instruments), and as usual their only backing was the one-man New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. I truly hope they do "reunion" shows every couple years, and I hope they continue to work in relatively new material, as they did in the recent show. I'll go see them every chance I get.

The creative genius of Flight on HBO was off the charts. And now that I've seen them live, I fully understand how it translates to the stage. The back and forth was definitely not all improve, but it felt that way. The show was engaging and hilarious throughout, and Demetri Martin's opening couldn't have been better. Thumbs up all around.

I think everyone has touched on how funny these guys are, but it should be pointed out that these guys are also incredible musicians. The HBO show didn't always depict this very well since there was usually live action while they were singing and some of the music was done with synths (with the focus also being on the comedy) Without giving away too much we saw the guys playing multiple instruments, "dueling" with each other on some of the instruments, all while still being hilarious.

We had a spectacular time at this show. These guys are extremely funny (in a very understated way), and really know how to play off of the audience as well. The music is fun and there was a nice variety of old and new tunes. They played my two favorite songs, so for me it didn't even matter what else they played, but the rest of the songs were great too. Some of the songs were completely new to me, but I still enjoyed them all. One thing I really love about these guys is that they play a variety of musical styles, and though most of the songs are probably intended to remind you of other songs (for example, "Inner City Pressures" is obviously a play on the Pet Shop Boys "West End Girls"), they still manage to make them uniquely their own. Their comic timing is flawless. But I seriously don't know how they can get through a show without busting out into laughter themselves. There's no way I would be able to keep a straight face the whole time. They also made use of the video screens to help enhance the audience experience with some of the songs as well (for example, Bowie and the Father/Son duet). I didn't think to write down the set list right after the show, and it's been a few days, but I this is what I can remember (not necessarily in this order): Father and Son Foux du Fafa Carol Brown Most Beautiful Girl (in the Room) The Summer of 1353 Shady Rachel [I actually thought they were singing "Sh*tty Rachel" the whole time, though I saw another review that called it "Shady Rachel", so take your pick] Mutha'uckas When Doves Cry [Prince cover] Hurt Feelings Bowies in Space F**k on the Ceiling You Don't have to Be a Prostitute The Ballad of Stana The Seagull Business Time

I'm a longtime fan and they lived up to my expectations and beyond. Amazing artists, they kept my friends and I laughing the entire concert. They played a lot of new material that proved just as great as my old favorites.

If you love them, then you will love seeing this performance with our two favorite kiwis! Tried and true favorites will be sung, some new songs too, plus the addition of the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra! (See the show and you'll know what I mean!) I laughed constantly, couldn't stop smiling and humming my favorite FoC's songs the rest of the night. Plus, as an added bonus, my big ol' crush on Jemaine was made stronger, if that's even possible.

These guys write hilarious songs and are great musicians! And, their banter between songs is just as funny as the songs. They play a lot of new stuff which was great! And, of course, they played some classics.

I thought I'd never hear a bad-ass three-way recorder solo, but here we are. Loved every second of it.
These guys are not for everyone. But if you like their HBO show, you'll love them in concert. I took my 20 year old son and we both said afterwards that our face hurt. We had a smile, the entire show. I laughed so hard. I can't wait to see them again.
Loved the new material & the banter between them was funny & easy going. They still have great chemistry & play so well off each other. Loved hearing the older material & some fan favorites. Definitely recommend & would see them again anytime! One small note to ladies who want to buy a tour t-shirt: they're cool but run very, very small!
These guys are hilarious. The show contained a massive amount of new material, which was all great. They played old favorites too. Unfortunately, the sound was very muddy for this show, and I've noticed it has been muddy for many of the shows I've seen at the Palace and the Ohio Theater recently. I have been sitting in the Mezz area for most of these shows, and the seats are some of the least comfortable I have ever sat in, for any show, on Broadway or off. The seat backs dig into your knees if you just try to sit normally, and I am only 5'11".
