This was my third time seeing this band. They never fail to disappoint, and I never miss the opportunity to see them live. They have a full orchestra, and talent singers and rappers to accompany. They have animation in the background, because it's still a cartoon band. The openers accompany the main act of course. Catch them in the states whenever they are in town.

This was one of the best concerts I ve been to. I was able to get tickets for the floor, so we were just a few feet from the stage. The presentation was amazing, using video clips synched with the live music. Damon Albarn remains one of the best performers of our time, and all of the guest musicians killed it. My favorite moment is when the entire audience had their lights on their phones during Busted and Blue. It was beautiful. The Forum is an excellent venue, as well. Amazing sound.

What a great concert! N.E.R.D. was very good and very short which was also good. The GORILLAZ were amazing. The stage was full of musicians and the wall of sound was rich and beautiful. I have been waiting to see this band since the Demon Days CD came out and it was well worth the long wait. The string orchestra was fabulous as well as Bobby Womack, Del La Soul and the other additions. Please come back soon, Gorillaz!

I was entertained from beginning to end. 90% of the audience never sat down for the entire Golliaz concert. The venue is just the right size for a concert although the accoustics were not the best where I sat. If you don't know the Gorillaz, buy the Feel Good CD and the find a place to see them live. All ages will like this music. I'm 54 and my 9 & 11 year old kids love this music too.

This show was amazing. I have been a Gorillaz fan since they started. My husband and myself brought our 7 year old son. He is a huge Gorillaz fan. He has been listening to the Gorillaz since he was born. We had great seat, our son could see the entire show. He sang ever song with them. This was his very first concert so I am glad of how amazing it was.

It's simple, if you like the Gorillaz and you like concerts, you'll be ecstatic about this show. N.E.R.D was all about the crowd pleasing and they rocked. Gorillaz played all of their past hits and the majority of the new album.

Not only was the band amazing and exceeded my expectations but the service at this venue was great. Every single staff member I came in contact with was very kind and helpful. They also provided some of the best service I have ever seen as far as handicap assistance goes. I would not only Love to see the Gorillaz again but I won't mind coming back to this venue for other shows!

The Gorillaz have decided to take the show on the road. The show has changed drastically from the muted and relaxed Demon Days tour and has taken the volume and turned it up. Damon steps out of the shadows to shine on the front of the stage with multiple guest stars. Great Show... worth the time and dollars

The sound for Gorillaz was just right. Everything about their show was awesome from the colorful set to the brass band from Chicago, the orchestra, etc. Damon Albarn was incredible as were all of the back-up and solo performers who performed with him. Many of their past concerts, they've kept up the cartoon facade, with the group playing behind a screen, so I was glad that Damon and the rest of the stepped out for all the world to see. I only wish they would have played longer; I think their set, including the encore, was less than an hour and a half. This was our first time at Verizon and the venue is fantastic. Our seats were really good and on the lower level, but any seat in there is a good seat. All of their employees and vendors were friendly and quick to serve you and the bathrooms were surprisingly very clean. Overall, between the phenomenal show and the wonderful venue, it was probably my favorite concert in the past few years. I would definitely pay good money to see Gorillaz again and would return to Verizon again as well, despite the long drive.

De La Soul, Bobby Womack, the middle-eastern band, so on and so on! I loved how many guests Gorillaz had with them for this tour! Obviously Damon Albarn and his band were just great, but it was the collaboration that really made this the concert not to miss. In my ideal world, Snoop Dog and Little Dragon would have been there, but even without them this was a great experience for a ten-year fan like myself.

I have been a fan of the Gorillaz for a long time, and was very sad when I heard they had "disbanded" (being a virtual band, didn't mean that they could literally disband). I had never been able to see them and that was one of my goals. So when they announced their plastic beach tour, I jumped on the tickets. Something I would never regret, this has been the best concert I have ever been too. That could sound melodramatic, but I've seen the likes of Bob Dylan (4 times), Bruce Springstenn (twice), Van Morrison, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fray, Prince (twice), and others and this one is hands down the best. It was easy to feel and see how much Damon Albarn and everyone else were into the music. It might have been the most electric, and eclectic, concert I've ever been too, and I would go again and again.

To begin I was incredibly excited when I first learned of this show. 2 friends and I went expecting a good time and a great show and we got all that and more! It wasn't a show that was a masterfully done performance. From the second they hit the stage to the time the lights came back on everyone in the arena was on their feet grooving out to the full band on stage that sounded amazing, which was backed up by a huge projection screen with amazing images and video of the band. I would pay top dollar to go and see this show again. I'm only 24 and have gone to maybe 30 concerts and this by far takes #1.

The sound system was great, and even without Little Dragon or Mos Def the set list and song choices were spectacular and sounded amazing! As usually, the visuals were beautiful and everything just came out top notch! It was really surprising to hear them play "Punk" and those in the crowd who actually knew about Gorillaz (which was a pleasantly high percentage) appreciated that! If they ever return to Chicago I'll definitely go again! After the concert the majority of the band signed autographs while talking to all of the fans and being really genuinely friendly! If you ever get the chance to see Gorillaz, do it!

This was easily one of the best shows I have ever attended. The Gorillaz house band was tight and Damon is an energetic and fantastic frontman with his voice gliding through the music. The show packed not only the house band, but a brass band, 8 piece orchestra, 4 backup singers, and an American syrian band as well. there were also two large screens showing videos from Gorillaz along with new animations for each song. Plus, Gorillaz brought a slew of guests with them including bootie brown, Bobby Womack, and more. A really great show that blended rock, hip hop, R&B, soul, and more. Come back soon, gorillaz!

First of all, N.E.R.D. took a suburban audience slwly meandering into the venue, and turned it into a house party! What a perfect opener. Gorillaz, with their star-packed crew of performers and flawless video integration, was amazing! They've never toured the U.S. in full force, so you must see them or wait another decade. They played every song you want to hear and the sound was fantastic. Great open set so you can see everything...string section, horns, back-up vocals, drums, percussion, boards, multiple guitars and bass. A symphony of sound and visuals. NOT TO BE MISSED!

The opening act with N.E.R.D was absolutely fantastic. N.E.R.D brought high octane to the stage with sick rhymes, Pharrell s great vocals, and overall heavy beats. Even if you are not familiar with their material, it is easy to get into it. I also enjoyed Pharrell s little sermon that left a really great feeling toward the end of the set. There was a brief intermission between the two sets I suggest you go and buy some of the merchandise on sale if you hadn t all ready done so. When it was time for Gorillaz, the place was packed and the anticipation overwhelming. Gorillaz played a pretty long set in my opinion including their encore- that covered both their old and new material. The visuals were superb and I didn t find myself torn between the LCD screen with graphics or the actual band it all flowed very well. Everyone on stage brought all they had, especially the guest artists such as Mos Def with his smooth rhymes or the hilarity of Gruff Rhys and De La Soul in Superfast Jellyfish. The ending to the night was one of the best conclusions to a show I have ever seen. The concert lasted about three hours in total and every single second of the experience was worth the money. Also, you need a pretty decent camera in order to take quality videos and shots if you're not right up near the stage. Also, I recommend taking extra batteries and memory cards -you'll need it.

I was already a massive fan of Damon Albarn from his days with Blur and more recently in The Good, The Bad and The Queen. I had heard that he was an excellent live performer because of his musical abilities, of course, but also because he has this powerful, hysteria-inducing stage presence. The Gorillaz Patriot Center show was one of the best concerts I have ever been to, and I've been to plenty of shows. NERD, the opening act, spent a good amount of time on stage trying to coheres the audience to stand up and dance, but to no avail. However, as soon as the lights went low and the animation came up on the screen everyone in that arena jumped out of their seats screaming: they knew they weren't going to be disappointed. And they weren't. As if Damon's stage presence and the awesome animation playing continually on a huge screen above the stage weren't enough, the majority of the guests that appeared on the new record were also there that night. Mos Def, Little Dragon, De La Soul, Bobby Womack, and many others were on stage further hyping up the audience. The show was about 2 hours long with no break and when it was finally "over" and the musicians left the stage, the crowd started screaming and cheering..all of the people sitting in the bleachers started stomping their feet until it seemed the floors would collapse. Finally Damon and Co. came back out and did an awesome 5 song encore of "Clint Eastwood", "Feel Good Inc.", "Don't Get Lost in Heaven", "Cloud of Unknowing", and "Demon Days". "Demon Days" was the perfect song to close with! They had a whole choir on stage and everyone in the audience knew the words, so we all just sang together...the choir, the audience, and Damon. It was really uplifting; it was like a bonding experience between the makers of the music and the listeners of the music. Like I said, it was a fantastic experience and I would recommend a Gorillaz (or even just Damon Albarn) show to anyone.

Very pleased to see that the artists who took part in the Plastic Beach album performed after the concert was swiched from their Plastic Beach tour to Gorillaz feat. N.E.R.D. I wasn't sure what to expect. N.E.R.D. was entertaining to watch, I didn't particularly enjoy the music too much, but I could nod my head at some points. You could tell how many people did not show up to see them. Only one big lyrical mistake I noted on the first line of Rhinestone Eyes, and Damon tripped over a mic cord, which he handled very impressively. Over all an awesome show. Rockedit.

Great, great show. First discovered Gorillaz back in 2001 via a preview of their eponymous debut in Tower Records magazine, at the time it was only available as an import and it wasn't clear who was in the band. I immediately went to the imports section and snagged a copy, have been a fan ever since. Saw them on their club tour in Feb of 2002 @ the 9:30 Club. This was the tour where the performers were behind a scrim, the visuals all provided by Hewlett and Zombie Flesh Eaters. An incredible show...perhaps my favorite ever until Monday night. Seeing two members of my all time favorite band, The Clash, folded into Gorillaz is mind blowing. The concert was exceptional all the way around, just surprised by the number of vacant seats in the back rows.

N.E.R.D opened tonight. They played around 5 tracks and left. It was clear that nobody was there to see them. But they did play "Lapdance" which is a fav of mine. A half hour later Gorillaz took the stage. A lot of Plastic Beach was played, though it's not their best stuff they did pepper the the set with some old tracks.

I bought some really good seats for my girlfriend and I since it was our 2 year anniversary and we both love Gorillaz. It's not every day that Gorillaz tours the world so we jumped right on this one. The good thing about Madison Square Garden is that regardless of where you are sitting, you will get a great view of the stage. We were in the middle floor seats and the view was perfect. We had some guy taller than us in the row before and was blocking our view at first. I kindly asked him to move over and he did, but turns out he snuck into the area and he got thrown out, so that was a win/win. Damon (Lead singer) said a few kind words to us and started off playing the Orchestral Intro to plastic beach. He really is a musician that cares about his fans. When we want an encore for an amazing show, he gave it to us without hesitation. Gave us several intermissions telling us how thankful he was to us for being there and supporting them. And he really meant it. Jamie Hewlett (Artist and creator of visuals for Gorillaz) made an appearance on stage too which was a big surprise! The sound was great, you could move to every song. People even put lighters up on the last song before the encore. I want to say so much more but you probably want a summary. It was truly phenomenal with the lights, sound, visuals, the whole band played on key with each other. And gave us a great encore with a couple surprises! Seriously, no matter how much the tickets are, go and buy them without hesitation!

Because they've never really toured in North America (or, in fact, at all), Gorillaz carry a bit of mystique with them that added, I feel, to the atmosphere of the Arena as they took the stage. You really got the feeling that this was a once-in-a-lifetime event (though I surely hope it's not) so you spent the entire show trying to soak as much in as you could.. And that's not easy because they just give you SO much. You could watch one element the entire time and be happy, whether it's Damon, the band, the guest performers, the visuals. You could be happy, but you weren't satisfied because you wanted to see ALL of it at once. Having listened to Gorillaz for so long, having spent far too much time on their various websites, watched their videos and read their books and interviews, I feared I was in danger of being let down by the real thing. I worried I'd set the bar too high. Not only did the live act surpass my expectations, they EMBARRASSED them. COME BACK GORILLAZ!

It was the first time I saw Gorillaz in concert and wasn't sure what to expect. Standing room only outdoor concert summer of 2017. I loved it! I've been attending concerts for 30 years and this was the loudest I have ever been to. In a good way! I just purchased tickets for Oct Philly show and I'm so excited! This time we have seats in the luxury box. No more standing on my tip toes this time. They didn't have a projector of themselves for the concert so the people in the back could see, I hope they do for the upcoming one.

I went to the Gorillaz show in Atlanta in 2017 and was underwhelmed. The price was expensive and SO not worth it, just listen to the album instead. The stage show was good, and that's about the only good thing I have to say. I am a big fan of Gorillaz, but the song selection was awful. It seemed like Damon Albarn just wanted to entertain himself by playing deep cuts. They also underused guest appearances. For instance De La Soul was there, but they played a song off their new album and then they didnt play Feel Good Inc, which blows my mind. Its their biggest song, you've got De La Soul RIGHT THERE, and you skip that song to play some super slow jam that no one is familiar with. Also the vocals which are distorted on the album just make it impossible to hear live. This group is best in the studio, skip the live show. Literally one of the worst shows I've ever been to.

We saw Gorillaz back in 2010 with our 8 year old sons and were blown away. Seven years later, now our sons are almost 15 so we decided to see them again. The music was FANTASTIC, the visuals were STUNNING and the only thing that was mildly irritating was the drunk women who kept standing up in front of us (we chose the seats for a reason!) but even that couldn't ruin the experience. I would see them again and again.

This was my first big-venue concert (outside of a Joan Jett show at Eagle Base in Bosnia) and I had a terrific time. I wasn't familiar with N.E.R.D. before this and was pleasantly surprised by their work, but the real draw was the expanded live Gorillaz group. The giant projection screen, four back-up singers, string quintet, Syrian instruments, and eclectic group of guest vocalists provided the perfect setting for Damon Albarn's frenetic lead performance. Paul Simonon and Mick Jones provided able, though relatively subdued, guitars, and Roses Gabor and Little Dragon were especially enjoyable on some of the band's standards. The setlist was about 60% Plastic Beach titles, 25% Demon Days, and 15% Gorillaz / G-Sides. The perfect mix.

I had thought that the Gorillaz ever getting to Seattle was a big dream. Thankfully Damon Albarn and friends thought different. It was a spectacular show that lived up to all the hype and my personal hopes and wishes. The mixing of the music was well done so that the music came through loud and clean and the videos playing the music were so entertaining that I had to remind myself that there was a live band playing underneath the video screen. This also was the first rock concert my 13 year old got to go to - because it is his favorite band also- and he thought it was the best. There is nothing like experiencing something so memorable with your kid like that. I can only hope and dream that if they ever put out a fourth album, they will tour again. But I won't hold my breath. :)

Finally saw the virtual band on stage! It is fun to listen to all kinds of music from them and watch the video. But things could be better, like improving the sound effect, installing more screens, and having a better warm up band.

Gorillaz put on a really great show. The guest appearance before with N.E.R.D. was very enjoyable as well. I loved how all the artists and musicians could come together and give an awesome performance for the crowd. I would definitely go see them again!

N.E.R.D. was an excellent opener. They really played some great music to help get the energy flowing. While they were really good, it was obvious that everybody was there to see the Gorillaz play and the place went wild once the music started bumpin. Great music, both new and old, mixed in with accompanying videos just made the show really enjoyable. Not to mention the many many live musicians playing everything from orchestral pieces to a brass band to some amazing features singing. All in all this was a ridiculously great night and wish every show I went to would be this awesome.

when they started wheeling out jackolanterns during the set change i knew i was in for something extra special. almost every member of the band was in some form of costume and ghoulie makeup and in high spirits. everyone on stage gave top notch performances and had fun while doing so. from laughing with each other to punching damon while he sang there was always something to look at besides the giant screen. the animations and videos were awesome of coarse but the total show design blew me away. the gorillaz lights were always in colors to match the mood of the song and each special guest was greatly appreciated for lending their talents to the stage. its hard to take it all in because there was just so much to the performance. seeing this concert once isnt enough.

The Gorillaz played flawlessly and the show was very entertaining. I only wish that they had gone a little further like they have in concert's past. The Demon days show had far more special guests, a larger orchestra, and even featured puppets of the band members calling for an encore in the audience. However, I was impressed with how much of the music was created right there on stage, and not pre-recorded. I do appreciate a live show actually being live. The show also made me appreciate Plastic Beach much more than I did when I went in. Songs that I didn't enjoy so much at home ended up being some of the best performances of the night.

Amazing visual displays and sound system. Special guests were great and the overall event was marvelous. The only thing was that the poster I wanted to buy was sold out by the time it was my turn to purchase it, and also there were no womens shirts available for my date to purchase.

THIS WAS HANDS DOWN THE MOST AMAZING **ANYTHING** THAT I HAVE SEEN LIVE. It was two days ago and I'm still buzzing with adrenaline. Damon's energy and gorgeous music, pared with Jamie's stunning visuals, and supported by a full cast of talented collaborators and band members...it was EPIC. IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE, GO SEE THEM LIVE...YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

The Gorillaz are one of those bands that I have always wanted to see but were never accessible so when tickets went on sale I had no reservations about purchasing. The did not disappoint The stage setup and graphics were very cool and not overdone or tacky. The large crew of vocalists and the band all sounded outstanding and were true to the Gorillaz sound and had me dancing from the beginning until the end.

This show was absolutely amazing and unforgettable. I will definetley be seeing the Gorillaz again hopefully at this same venue. Not only was the show spectacular, but the theatre was absolutely the most beautiful theatre you could ever imagine. I was in the 3rd row from the stage and caught a drumstick. They were so close you could touch them.

After years of waiting for a live performance from the incomparable & infamous Gorillaz, my patience was finally rewarded with the Escape To Plastic Beach World Tour. Needless to say, my tickets were purchased the day they began to sell, and the date was set in stone. Of course, it completely exceeded all of my hopes and expectations. First off, the acoustics of the venue were phenomenal; feeling the crisp bass pounding your chest in rhythm with your fist in the air, the string ensemble coming through clearly, roaring brass, and the unmistakable lyrics and voice of Damon Albarn soaring above all cheers from the crowd! Now, my true awe and amazement was in the beautiful synchronization of a digital band's m.o. (virtual performance) with a live concert. The show was truly magnificent; as the band performed, music videos and projections flashed on the screen, lights strobed in precise tempo, and the ground shook with the awesomeness that is the legendary Gorillaz! And to add to it all, guest features showed up from each of the studio albums and guitarist Mick Jones and bassist Paul Simonon of Clash joined in! This has been one of my favorite concert experiences of all time, and I can only urge you to purchase tickets if they're coming to your state or country; you will not regret it! You will be truly dazzled, inspired, mesmerized, overwhelmed, and flat-out ready to follow 'em around the world!

All I can say is that if you ever get the chance to see the Gorillaz live, do not pass it up! I am an avid concert attender. I've been to tons of festivals and shows all kinds of great bands but nothing, and I mean not even seeing Justice in New Orleans on Halloween Weekend at Voodoo Festival, Not even seeing the The Dead Weather front and center [though it's close with that one], Not even MGMT could compare to the amazing-ness that is the Gorillaz! When I found out that they were doing a north american tour, I didn't waste a second and bought tickets to both the Dallas and Austin shows. My brother and friends ended up bailing on me for the Dallas show, but I didn't give a damn that I was alone because I was about to witness the best band there ever was. They blew me away with even the first song and I just literally wanted them to never stop playing. The show in Austin was even better because we went VIP with that one and were in the first row, center stage. Damon grabbed my hand and I made it away from that show with the set list! They played all the songs that I wanted to hear and did it wonderfully. Damon's stage presence is unreal! He's so into the music and so in love with what he is doing, you can see it written all over his face when he performs. He interacts with the fans and definantly delivers a show that you will never forget. Not to mention all the amazing people that came along with him; Little Dragon, Bootie Brown, Bobby Womack, Kano, Bashy, Paul Simonon, Mick Jones, De la Soul and so much more~ Every single review I have read on their shows is an amazing one and i'm here to confirm that. So what's holding you back? Go see them while you've still got the chance!!!!!!!!!!

This was one of the best shows I seen this year, NERD opened up and got things started. Three video screens, full band with strings and brass sections. There was also a mideastern band with them. The songs were great, Damon Albarn was all over the stage, best of all was two Clash members in the band,Mick Jones and Paul Simonon. A good time was had by the sellout crowd, the media presentaions were spectacular, music was infectious. Not bad for a cartoon band. Definitely the show of the year, Ant

I've been to a lot of concerts and Gorillaz by far has to be the best I've been to. Seeing Damon onstage brings the voice of 2D to life (literally, since he technically is the voice of 2D lol) and it was just so insane to see my childhood come back to life. It's surreal to see a band you've listened to over 10 years ago play in front of you live. The live band is incredibly talented and the visuals were fantastic. They had lights panning over the whole venue, making you feel like you were on the floor with the crowd even if you were seated on the balcony, and they played music videos of the virtual band on the screen onstage. The choir was absolutely beautiful and Damon left me speechless. It's classic 2D when he sings into the radio to do that signature voice and it was just so cool to see it in person. The music was so loud and it left your ears ringing after the concert, but it was totally worth it. Even if you aren't the biggest fan of Gorillaz, you'd have a great time. I highly recommend seeing them if you're a huge fan who is familiar with their old music and music videos. AMAZING!

I love Gorillaz, and since they tour so infrequently, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to see them. Visually, the show was great! They had a good mix of songs both old and new. However, the sound wasn't right. Overall, it was too loud. I couldn't hear things very well. A friend of mine saw them a day later in Los Angeles, and the snaps she posted sounded better than my live experience! In her snaps, I could actually make out the background singers! I'm happy I got to see them, I'm only disappointed in the aural experience.
