I was visiting friends for the weekend in Reading and was lucky the Royals had a home game on Saturday night. Tickets were inexpensive so we sat on the glass, center ice. Had an absolute blast. The people working at the arena were all super nice and the fans were really into the game.

Took my 83 year old neighbor for his birthday , and he loved it. There was great food, drink, entertainment from the mascots, and a great, action packed game. And the Royals WON. Thanks Royals.

The seats I got were good for autographs and that was about it. They were right behind the player's bench and we were unable to see the game because of the trainer and coach's walking back and forth on the bench and even standing in front of you at times. Next time I am going to get higher seats but when I ordered the tickets the website said these were the best seats at that time. I THINK NOT! The barn was empty, we finally moved to watch the checking game in the corners. Would not recommend Section 117 row C at all.

I had Ice level seats, this is my first hockey game ever, and it was my husbands first game in about 4 years. We absolutely enjoyed it thoroughly! We literally had a fight break out RIGHT IN FRONT OF US... Insane! The players were amazing GO READING ROYALS! We are actually talking about buying season tix : )

My dad, stepmom, stepsister and I went to a reading royals game and had so much fun! I'm 21 and my stepsister is 7 so it's definitely good for all ages! We loved the fights that broke out, and we got really into the game! I definitely recommend going to a game! It's fun for the whole family!

The family pack (4 tix + dogs/sodas) is an awesome deal for less than $50! The action is fast as most of these guys are hungry to move up ASAP. And there's not a bad seat in the house, especially considering that one nose-bleed ticket in the NHL costs more than this whole package.

While the game was terrific, out seats were lousy. We were right behind the glass at the team benches. When the game began, the trainers and coaches stood on the team benches, preventing us from seeing the game. It seems to me that those seats should be blacked out for the games. People pay good money to enjoy the game and then have their view hindered.

You may not like my review but here goes.... we've been to many Reading Royals games but Jan 15 was the worst! it started out good, they scored early but then it all went down hill. The team didn't have it together???? They skated like they had lead skates. Lucky for them their Goalie was playing good or it would have been a blowout! I sure hope they got it together tonight, Jan 16 for the next one! Good luck Guys! LETS GOOOOO ROYALS!!!

Truly a great family night out at a reasonable price, only comment would be to add other packages for famiies that may be larger then 4 but not enough to be considered a group size. Overall very pleased with game and staff.

I got to watch a great hockey game and got to see with great people, that are knowledgable about hockey. The Sovereign Center, in Reading, PA, is a nice facility and the employee were nice and really helpful.

Will never sit in front row seats again. Poor visibility at best until the game was right in front of you. Corner seats would have been better to see down the boards. I cannot believe that these were the best seats available since the stadium was 1/4 full at best. Game was fine Food was stupid expensive. Eat before you go and don't bother with the consession stands

OUTSTANDING!!!!! The game was fabulous!!!! And the food is yummy too! It was a great game! I would go again in a heart beat! HOWEVER.....I was NOT happy that the they wouldn't let us in to our seats and kept the doors locked on a freezing cold night and my husband has bad health issues and they wouldn't let us in to just stand in the warm. I don't understand why we couldn't come in as soon as we arrived! Hershey doesn't make you stand out in the cold! You should rethink that policy!

The Sovereign was a very nice venue. This was my first visit to the center. I was very happy with the building and the price of tickets and food there. The Reading Royals lost the game. Their passing of the puck to each other needs alot of work. Overall it was a good, fun night and I will be back again soon.

I attended the game this past Sunday with my five year old son. We had a great time. The arena is easy to get to and the parking is right across the street. The game was not crowded but the fans that were there were great and kept the game exciting. There is not a bad seat in the arena (don't think you needed to buy a $$$ ticket). The game speed and the checking was very close to the pros. We totally enjoyed the game and look forward to returning in the near future !!!!!!!

The Royals are just starting their season so sloppy play is to be expected.I find this brand of hockey to be enjoyable and would recomend it to friends and colleagues.Parking is expensive,But Ticket Prices are reasonable.Kids enjoy Slapshot.The Between Periods entertainment is good.The off ice entertainment is good.

...friends and i joined the reading royals for their home opener on thursday, october 15, 2009...we got great rink-side seats and thoroughly enjoyed a great game...the royals lost, but they totally rock when it comes to action...the venue itself is super, family friendly and clean...great parking nearby with good rates...thursday's are $2 coors draft night, and monday-thursday are $1 dog, nachos, popcorn and soda nights...great place for a family outing or friend get together...don't miss it!

The game between the Royals and the Jackals was outstanding. Excellent goaltending at both ends of the ice, crisp passing, great skating, and a very hard fought fast paced game. On top of that it was Tddy Bear Toss Night. You have to see this in person. When Reading scored its first goal, everyone threw teddy bears and other stuffed animals on the ice for charity. Unbelievable. Great venue to boot.

Was disappointed..they didnt play as a team..if u watch the replays of the goals u see the goalie was on his own..not a single team mate there to assist..but im hopeful since this is mostly a new team that they will learn team work n then kick butt

The game was very good for the money we spent on the tickets and the seats were great as we sat in the second row behind the glass by the goal judge. If you get tickets that close, you have to be ready for some loud noise of pucks hitting the glass. The play of the game was a good fast pace hockey by both teams. The fans in the arena were very upbeat about their team and maybe a little over the top at times, but what fans haven't been. The arena itself is a nice size for this affiliation of hockey and definitely has the atmosphere. Alot of different concessions, but if your truly hungry eat before you come and then just snack while at the game.

I love going to their games. I bought seats sitting right behind the glass. We had a wonderful time. The only negative we the fact that I was told that there was a burger and drink included in the price. No one in the stadium knew of the promotion. The promotion was also listed on the Royals website.

I really enjoyed the game - the only negative is the language of the players. We were close to the teams and several times we heard foul language coming from both sides. Hate for my children to be subjected to that, but they really enjoy watching.

The game was great; however, I was VERY disappointed in the concession stand! Before the game, there were no hamburger rolls to purchase the cheeseburgers my grandsons wanted. In the first intermission, I waited in line for 20 minutes to purchase my $1 hot dog, only to learn that they were sold out. IN THE FIRST INTERMISSION! That put a damper on the entire night.

We have gone 4 times now to see the Reading Royals. Our family loves the games. The parking is only $5.00. The food is amazing!! You don't have to walk far for food or restrooms. Our seats are very cozy. The best part is watching the game and the fans!! It is very reasonable in price too. It is so much fun!!!! We can't wait for the next game :)

I paid for the most expensive price for tickets in front of the glass. We had people standing in front of us in the benches the entire game. We ended up watching the big screen the whole time till we moved our seats. I'd say more than half the seats in the arena were empty and my tickets still costed 150 for 4. The game was mediocre at best, crowd was rude, so yeah fun time. Minus well go to your local high school game.

The Reading Royals vs. the Fort Wayne Komets game on Friday, October 7th was good. The parking and ease of access to the facility was smooth and the fans were fun and friendly. If you like decent hockey on a budget, I would recommend.

We went to our first Reading Royals game. We have gone to a lot of Hershey Bears and Washington Capitals games through the years, plus a variety of other hockey games. This was a fun trip for us. The arena is convenient as is parking and parking is cheap ($5.00) in a garage across the street from the arena. People were friendly and concessions were good and reasonably priced.

We had a great time at our first Royals game of the year! The concession staff was overwhelmed and we had a long wait time, which is what keeps this from being a 5 star review. I would recommend sitting closer to center ice, or farther up from the ice to be able to see the action at the opposite goal.

I wasn't sure if we would be able to get any kind of decent seats because it was just a few hours before the game was starting. But we just used the "best available" option on ticketmaster and it woked out amazing! We ended up sitting right behind the players bench and one of the players even handed us a game puck! My 5 year old had a blast. Thanks!

I love hockey. So it's no surprise I enjoyed this event. The Royals are like any team in the ECHL league, streaky. Playing at times with skill and savvy, and other times looking slow and sloppy. All in all a very good night.

We're local hockey fans with a small child that finally made it out to a Royals game. Small stadium in so-so condition but great seat availability and great play! They also seem to do a lot for the kids which makes it helpful for parents. Was also nice being first timers as a rep came down to welcome us and offered us a game voucher to come back. Sweet! Overall great inexpensive experience that is close to home and easy to bring the kids. Definitely recommend it!

I sat directly behind the Reading Royals bench which was pretty cool to be that close to the players. However with that comes players , coaches and trainers to give you a very obstructed view of the game. I would certainly go to another game but would find seats a little further back in the arena. In short if you are planning on attending a game sitting close may not always be the answer.

Went for the hockey and was satisfied. Not exactly impressed with the arena. Staffing was adequate, but the actual facilities were small and rather dirty. Just expect small-town minor league hockey conditions, i.e. some difficulty viewing all parts of the ice, especially when players on the bench stand up. It's just part of the experience. great game. well played by both teams. Reading defense better at attacking than Florida's.The officiating was very good. they could have called more penalties but it would have disrupted the flow of the game.

The game was awesome even though they lost. We had great seats on the glass. Would not want to sit anywhere else. Parking was also a decent price unlike the Flyers games.

Reading Royals hockey is a great time for the family. It's small venue and reasonable prices makes it an easy night out for a good time.

This was the first hockey game for my 2 sons and they absolutely loved it. We were right up against the glass and it couldnt have been any better for them to experience it for their first time.
