Yankee stadium is a good baseball stadium, but a terrible football stadium. My view of the pitch was obstructed by foul posts, and the fact that we were watching a football match in a baseball stadium just made the experience feel inauthentic. On top of this, the game was not very entertaining because the players kept losing the ball in midfield. However, I cannot say that it was necessarily bad because we did see a football match in a clean stadium and got exactly what we paid for. I would definitely not reccomend buying seats in section 132.

The NYC vs Red Bulls game was easily the worst professional soccer game I've had the misfortune to watch - summarised quite nicely by the player of the game being awarded to a goalkeeper who lumped virtually all of his goal kicks out of play for throw-ins and who had to make only a handful of basic saves. The build-up play was awful - long balls played to 5'8" forward players and the decision making consistently frustrating - players trying through-balls through a wall of legs in front of them. The best part of the game was the three minute spell around the NYC box as the their defence desperately tried to extracate their haplesss teammate Tinnerholm (another who seemed to be incapable of completing a pass) from the goal net. To give credit where it's due, the NYC fans made a valiant effort to create an exciting atmosphere - their enthusiastic support at complete odds with the abject showing on the pitch.

My seats were so perfect for the price I paid and the whole atmosphere was fun

Yankee Stadium may not seem to be the best place for a soccer game, but overall it was a really cool experience. A lot of supporters showed up during this game and they clearly made the game much more enjoyable. The Third Rail fanbase was awesome. Great view of the field from my vantage point, I just wish NYCFC has finished the comeback to at least salvage a tie with Orlando. For my first MLS(as well as professional) soccer game live and in person, I will definitely be attending more games. Great goal by Villa, that team has the potential to move farther in the postseason, they just need to get the foul count down lol. Great game by both teams.

Great atmosphere, beautiful game and above all it was so nice to see David Villa and Pirlo

I had a great time with a group of family and friends.

But lots of drama. I really like the part where they made are marquee midfielder disappear.

The whole New York City FC experience as a whole has been a complete and utter disappointment

Descent easy enough process. We shall see how this season goes. Hope NYFC gets a stadium of their owe.

NYCFC played a real good game. Weather was not bad for March. New players look real promising! Hope they get their own stadium sooner than later!!! They deserve it.. And so do their LOYAL SUPPORTERS!!!

NYCfc vs LA Galaxy was my first soccer game. I when with my brother and best friend, it was amazing. Our seats where really good and the view was awesome! Definitely will recommend and will be attending another game!

Great game. I brought my nephew and wife with me and made them fans of NYCFC, with David Villa's help of course. It was great being witness to soccer history and David Villa's 3 epic goals. I will come back again. Next time please have security and police on the subway platforms especially on the 4 Line. The Red Bull fans were shoving people around, probably because they were drunk and their team lost. A more robust security presence would deter this hooligan behavior.

Yankees Stadium is not a soccer venue. They need a SS. But the Boys in Blue won, which is all that matters.

It was my first time at the yankee stadium and my experience was better than I expected i been in other stadiums for soccer games and is good to know that even in a baseball stadium the passion of watching a soccer game is the same

I treated my husband and son to game. We had a great time with great seats!!! I enjoyed the nycfc band and the fans in the bleachers. Can't wait to attend again

The game was super! The quality of football and the fan base were a tribute to the team. I missed the first ten minutes of the second half because the food outlets aren't staffed enough and the service was slower than I would expect. Some people left the line without food. Overall a great day

What a surprise to be watching football in yankee stadium. We say football, not soccer. Great atmosphere by all the fans. Which was a surprise; as the club is relatively new. Go there and enjoy it through and through. My kids did! (7,8,9)

Great seats in right field, great fans of either team to be around, great view of the field and team benches, annoying food vendors every few minutes getting in the way of seeing the action.

It was an awesome experience. Whether you like soccer or not, it is soooo much fun to go. Totally recommended!

Great experience of a fantastic stadium and great game of football in a different atmosphere to the UK. Our 7 year old daughter enjoyed this much more than UK football matches. If visiting in Summer months recommend getting the seats on the lower tier further back so they are in the shade - was amazingly hot when we were there - we were in block 130 row 16 - think row 22 / 24 is in the shade!! Amazing day out!

Great event kids are big soccer fans. Famous actors and sportsmen sat right next to us.

Your kids get bored by the third inning of a baseball game? Then bring them to an NYCFC game at Yankee Stadium and they will love it. Action from end to end and no time outs. The games are a great family event., plus the audience participation is as good as the game. Most importantly they will see a NYCFC with great players including the beloved captain of the team: David Villa. Bring your kids and have a great time cheering for the New York City Football Club.

I had a great time! It was my first professional futbol game and although I am not a big futbol fan I will more than likely attend another game. I loved the atmosphere with the drummers in section 236. I had a good time dancing and cheering and New York won so that made it even better!

Always great to watch NYCFC play in person. Just too bad they have such an embarrassing home field which is truly detrimental as it is in such bad condition. Not a great place to watch a game. Hopefully they will get a reasonable stadium someday soon

We really enjoyed the whole event, all staff were very helpfull & friendly.

This was my wife's first football match and she loved every minute of it, even despite the occasion shower rain. We loved the family friendly atmosphere which was completely different to that of the UK. Highly recommended.

These games are terrific. The fans are passionate and noisy and the game is fun to watch, having end-to-end action without any stops except at halftime. The team is playing really well, with reigning MVP David Villa and some of the top young talent in the league. It's a great event for the whole family. Games are reliably 2 hours from start to finish, and my kids love every second of it.

We have been to the Bernabeu, to the camp nou, NEVER have we been seated on the PITCH!!! What a great experience, there s a special zone where you actually siit behind the signs on the pitch - sane special seats as the players. We also got a blanket to keep and soda and food included!!! BEST EXPERIENCE EVER on a football pitch.

Took my son, Ben, to the playoff game, we were exicited and hopeful but knew this was an uphill battle after getting a red-card and losing in Columbus. They didn t disappoint, first 1-0 then 2-0... we were within reach. Had one of the two shots that hit the post been in we would have moved up. Game exciting to the last minute.

I went with my kids because we were passing through NY and we loved it. They gave us a shirt at the entrance, the match was entertaining and we saw Andrea Pirlo kicking a corner 30 meters from us. What more could you want ?

Fantastic night of MLS soccer between two rivals. The Hudson River Derby lived up to the hype. Game was sold out. The fans were on their feet the whole game.

This was my first time visiting Yankee Stadium to see NYCFC in action. My original desire to come was spurred by wanting to see David Villa in action. The experience far exceeded my expectations both on and off the pitch. On the pitch David Villa scored the first goal and with a touch of brilliance, assisted on the second goal. Off the pitch, we had seats in the Legends seating area. The seats, which included access to an exceptional Lounge, were more than worth the price. Overall, it was an extraordinary evening, and you can be sure that I will return.

The atmosphere was pleasant and the game very fun! Bars should really think about serving non alcohilic beer as they do in european stadium

NYCFC x Red Bull at Yankee Stadium. Amazing experience, Holy place. Good crowd. Soccer is growing in USA. The event is fantastic.

My dad and I went to Yankee Stadium to watch the game fill with passion chatting "NYCFC". There are people say that it's not an official place but the fans are grows and possible one day win the MLS cup. If want to get to there, take the subway but early but it's crowded while I take the LIRR before taking the subway. Also meet people from of every race, religion, and gender. I'm a proud fan and hope you love Yankees Stadium for awhile as we continue to find a home.

NYCFC vs. Columbus was a good game. 0-0 until the 80th minute and NYCFC won 2-0. Pro soccer in NY is a really good time. All ages of fans, all ethnic groups, fun atmosphere. It will be even better if they build a soccer-designed stadium, hopefully in the Bronx!

The team scored a goal in the 83rd minute when all hope was gone. The NY Red Bulls fought till the end. They were a tough team to beat.

Great seats for the derby. We bought tickets, unknowingly in the redbulls section, which made the NYCFC victory even sweeter!

Great game. Players stuck around for autographs. It be nice if they told us that the players sign from gate 2 at Yankees stadium after the game. At least they do when they win.

The soccer game was great. But the process to get our tickets from Will Call was confusing and almost caused us to be late. The Ticketmaster app didn t show my tickets, and I had to go to Will Call who had no idea how to read the info via the app. And they blamed me for doing something wrong. I was able to send two tickets to a friend via the app, and he breezed thru the gate because for some reason he had the actual tickets on his phone. But the tickets I purchased for me via the app were not tickets, just placeholders, which was not clear at all from the app. I ll try to avoid games where I have to go through Ticketmaster.

It was cold and rainy that day. The day before I emailed the team to ask if the day was still on. To my surprise, I got a response, on time, letting me know the game was still on. It was a great honoring of David Villa (on David Villa Day), and the team played well. Exciting attacking football, and the crowd was ALIVE despite the weather. First time at a NYFC game, and the experience made me NOT want it to be my last!

From the welcoming and always eager to help staff to the product on the field to the kid friendly fan zone, this club does EVERYTHING right. Pure professionals in every way.

Been a while since I've been to a live sporting event. Wasn't bad, considering they play on a baseball field. Section 225, row 8 had a great view of the entire playing field but I now understand why everyone ahead of me paid for their beer with a credit card. A 6 pack at the local store is cheaper than one Shock Top at the stadium. Yowzer. Parking was pretty easy, in and out as was getting to the stadium from there, expensive but it's NYC. I would recommend avoiding the GWB like the plague. I was making fun of how long it would take using train/subway, turns out it might have been faster than driving! All in all, expensive but enjoyable.

I do not understand why MLS thinks its ok to play a match on a baseball field. If it was any other team, they would not be able to do this, but since its NYCFC they choose to accept it!

Atmosphere was ok, but could have been better. Like more people should have came or more noise from the fans.
