Talk about surprise!! I blow and n away by the concert! While not a big Will Downing fan, he won me over with his performance. He was smooth yet humorous, He got the crowd involved and put on an awesome set. Eric Benet keep the vibe going and put on a good performance. His cover of Prince's "Why You Don't Call Me" was very impressive. Marsha Amrbosius came in and completely blew my mind! I knew she was a great songstress but a great entertainner as well. She performed some of her biggest hits, including a few from her Floetry days. Then with the help of a DJ, she performed covers of past hits by Cameo, Michael Jackson, Mary J Blige and BBD. Truly a great concert. The only thing that would have made it better was if I had gotten a chance to meet her......OH WAIT, I DID!!! She was very nice and cheeerful with her fans. She took pictures, signed autographs and answered questions. Even tho it was almost one in the morning and she just put on a hell of a show, she STILL took time to say thank you to her fans. AWESOME CONCERT ALL AROUND!

The headliner of the show was not good at all in fact she song everybody else's song and not very many of her own. Marsha Ambrosius show was terrible. The headliner should have been Eric Benet. His voice was pristine and almost perfect and he did a wonderful job. Will downing did a good job but his music was too loud and sometimes it was hard to hear him. Many times when I just have the music too loud, they attempt to cover up bad singing or cracked vocals. If I had it to do again, I would not attend this concert it was not worth $75.

The evening was a great evening, opening acts was great but you can tell that the management made sure the opening artists did not out shine Marsha. The sound was flat, until Marsha hit the stage where the music sounded so crisp and they started to work on the sound board.

Doors opened late. But once we got in, service was friendly. First act was good. Marsha Abrosius was outstanding. She's really got something with her current direction. It was wonderful for a good program to support youn people.

I must say that this show was so personable in so many ways. Marsha wowed us with her powerful soulful (but unique) voice that gives me chills every time I listen to her. She is my morning coffee on the way to work and stress release time on my way home from work. I can truly say that Marsha has set the bar very very high for other singers. In person she sounds just the way she sounds on her album.

The sound quality was quite awful especially for the ticket price. I expected higher quality acoustics, but the sound was not impressive. Instead, the performers' vocals were muffled by the bad speakers.

I wish this event was somewhere else. Marsha Ambrosia is an artist of the highest order. Hearing her vocals made me forget that too many people were in attendance to a place that could hold a lot less, the seating was terrible, and the opening acts were also. Catering was great (I was VIP) but other than that we had to wait outside in the cold for at least 15 minutes and we brought VIP tickets months earlier. Also the charity event that sponsored it tried to outshine Marsha, even going so far as call her back after her set..Super tacky. I would have seen Marsha in someones basement the sad thing is thats what it seemed like I was doing. The Beamont sucks..Oh yeah to the hostess who shrugged when I told her I needed a seat for me and my wife...Thanks for surprising me by really being concerned and getting us some seats.

I have always been a fan of Marsha Ambrosius since her Floetry days. And, NOW my goodness Marsha Ambrosius has made a presence like no other. The audience received her the moment she stepped center stage and began the vocal enlightenment that ONLY she could produce. This is a must see show, I would see her again and again. I am a fan for LIFE.... If you haven't purchased ( and I did say purchased!!!) her latest project "Marsha Ambrosius- Late Night and Early Mornings". Please do so all 13 tracks speak to your soul and will cause reflection and/or require you to take action. Again, GREAT SHOW!!!!!!

I'm not a huge fan of either Marsha or Eric Benet but I have major respect for both as artists. Both are great performers. Eric sounded amazing, his Prince cover was great. Marsha knows how to relate to the crowd, it was refreshing. I'd pay to see her again just to hear her sing "Say Yes".

This was by far the best concert I have attend in my life. I am a Eric Benet fan and couldn't wait to see him perform live in Vegas. It was a post Mother's Day treat to myself and I went alone and had an amazing time. Marsha Ambrosius gave a stellar performance. She was so personable and related very well with her audience. She showed us that she is human just as we are and I truly admire her for that. All in all this was by far the best I've seen in 2 amazing human beings and I can't wait to see more tour dates for the both of them because that's where I will be spending my money.

Marsha and Eric were amazing! Eric, charming as usual had a great set. He did a couple songs from his new album which I like. He did a cover of Prince's "How Come You Don't Call Me" which was EXCELLENT! This is my second time seeing Marsha perform as well and her set was once again, LIVE! Her voice is amazing. She does a very good job of interacting with her audience and making them feel apart of the show. I would pay my money to see her any day. She gives her everything when she performs!

Where are the Musicians and Band Members?! Downing was great, but also had a great Band and great back up Singers! Eric had a Keybrd player and one back up singer! He still sang well.... Marsha was okay... She had A DJ - Drummer and Keyboard player... I guess I am going to have get use to the New Style singers needing back up tracks ad not employing musicians who could use the work...

The thought of being in the same building as Marsha Ambrosius still hasn t really sank in but it s one of those moments I will never forget. She came out and put on a great show for us at the Norva, singing basically all of the latest songs on Late Nights & Early Mornings as well as two or three songs I had never heard. It was my first time ever being at the Norva so I didn t really know what to expect from the crowd but I have to say they were a really great audience as well. The venue was not very big, but also not very crowded, which is a good thing. It was standing room only, which is unfortunate for the women in heels. All in all it was a very enjoyable show. Her voice is just as impressive in person as it is on her album(s). It's obvious why they call her the songstress. The show actually felt like it ended too soon. This is probably because there were no opening acts to endure while waiting on her to come out, just a DJ playing some nice mellow R&B. I had a great time, and so did my date. It was well worth the money and I would definitely pay to see her again (hopefully at something like Jazz in the Gardens... hint-hint)

The show was good. Marsha gave a simplistic, sexy, yet short show. She incorporated her music with the everyday life instances. Ok so you know how when u buy tickets you always plan to get to the concert an hour or more early and it never works out that way lol. Anyway I got to the show about 30 min early but had to search for parking (as always in downtown Richmond smh) so that took up alot of time. It was a general admissions event so the earlier u got there, the closer you were to the artists. We had to stand up the whole time too which i really didn't care for. But all 3 artists did their thing. I don't think too many people knew who Anthony David was but that's typically how concerts are. Artists are in the order of least popular to most. Then there was Melanie Fiona who is mainly only known for her song "And It Kills Me". She did a song off of her new album called "Rock, Paper, Scissors" lol. Everybody was like wtf? Either way I appreciate Neo Soul Artist since that's my favorite genre of music so I loved the creativity and all. And finally, there was Marsha. Ok everybody knows she can sing. Marsha is the type where u would think all she does all day long is sing. Like she can sing a sentence and turn it into a song smh. And she's got madd range too (so does Melanie). Out of all 3 artist, Marsha definitely had the crowd rocking the entire time! And her voice is so unique that it didn't matter which song she was singing or if the crowd even knew the song for that matter, we just appreciated all she brought to the stage. This was a prime example that just because you're a talented "singer" doesn't mean everybody will be feeling you...you also have to be even moreso or just as much as a talented "performer". She even had a DJ! lol! and the whole time you're wondering wtf is he here 4? this isn't a hip-hop event. Well guess what? He did his thing and did all sorts of songs and rocked the crowd too! So yea I think that's what it boils down 2. Find a balance between giving the ppl what they want but at the same time show your talents and promote your music. Marsha did her own songs, songs from Floetry, and she did songs that weren't even hers too that the majority of the crowd would know. Again you had to stand up the whole time their so that was a pain especially for chics with heels and all smh. I t was a bit pricey too but I think that was mainly because there were 3 popular artists there plus being sponsored by BET. I've been to plenty of shows at Fridays At Sunsets and the tickets were like $25. And although it was an outdoor event, the whether was fine and u could bring your umbrella chair. Overall I really enjoyed myself and my date as well. Now I must admit that there were some really ghetto ppl behind us screamin and yelling every other second smh, so I guess thats just a given no matter the event. One would think that neo soul artist would attract a much more mature crowd (which it did for the most part) but there's always those exceptions. I'd definitely recommend this to anybody and I'd go again only I'd be super early! I would give this 5 stars but the ghetto people and having to stand up and plus they were serving drinks so there were drunk people there too. Definitley not a good look for Neo Soul music at all.

I thought the show was completely unforgettable! Melanie Fiona completely ripped her set. I had no idea that she was such an entertainer! She can sing, dance, and gave a top notch show. Melanie's energy took me to whole new level and took me all the way back to when her first cd "The Bridge" came out. From her performance, I have become an even bigger fan than I was before. I'm totally excited about her sophomore album! What can I say about Marsha Ambrousis? Just Wow! I loved how she threw in through back songs from Floetry into her set. That really made the crowd go crazy! Her album by itself is a masterpiece but to see it performed live, left me in awe. Marsha's set was very cool, calm and collected. It was very neo-soulish with a little bit of hip hop thrown in lol. Overall, the combination of Melanie Fiona's high energy and Marsha Ambrosuis' seductive lyrics made an amazing concert!

The event at Irving Plaza was packed which left me standing way at the back but that didn't take away anything from the show. The supporting act Melanie Fiona gave an awesome energetic performance dancing away with her live band. I never knew she had all of that in her and by the end of it she could count me as a fan. Marsha blew me away, her voice is amazing. One of those voices that gives me goosebumps. Her setlist was mainly from her brilliant new album Late Nights and Early Mornings but she made room for a few of the good old Floetry favourites, Say Yes and Getting Late. She connected with every person in the auditorium switching up her accent from the Queens English to straight up New York chick. I Hope She Cheats On You With A Basketball Player was one of the faves. We loved it. The highlight was when she let her DJ break it down and take us down memory lane back to the 90's with hits from Biggie and Mary J Blige and and this just got the crowd super hype. We were at a party in Brooklyn in 1995 not a concert in 2011. She of course performed Butterflies and just when we thought it was all over she came back and did an encore to Lose Myself. It was truly an amazing show.

This show was off the hook for real. Marsha is a vocal beast with a lot of great tricks up her sleeve and she will have you laughing. I already knew she was great live because i had the privilege of seeing her live with Floetry and by herself a few years back alone. Melonie surprised me for real. I was already a fan but I love you more if you can show and prove live and that she did. Anthony David has such a great tone to his voice on a record and it was all the same live as well. If you don't know about him yet you need to inquire. Love this dude and his music.

I caught Marsha in Philly with Melanie Fiona and Anthony David. Not only did the show start on time, it started 15 minutes early. Anthony was good. Melanie was great. But Marsha was OUTSTANDING and EXCELLENT. This was my first time seeing her since the break up of Floetry. While I have all her underground music and the new album, I was still slightly concerned about the live show. I'm glad to say Marsha still has never disappointed. She exudes class, sexiness, and pure professionalism. We also got a treat when she brought none other than the 'OG' Patti LaBelle on stage to perform a few cuts and talk about their 10-11 year history. It was AMAZING to say the list. I'm trying to catch another show of the tour before it's gone. And need I say I can't wait for the next album.

Before Marsh even came out the crowd went wild. She came out with that beautiful smile & voice and the party was on! She was so amazing, of course she interact with us. She talked about how foul some women can be....it was funny. She had us laughing because she's silly like that. I just love her 2 death, she could sing the HAPPY BIRTHDAY SONG and that'll do it for me. I hate I didn't get a poster or my CD signed, but maybe next time. But their camera guy took a picture of Me & my mom & some random chick. So that was awesome. Oh yeah I really enjoyed MELANIE FIONA she is a great performer too. I'm adding her to my list as well. Great job ladies!

Now don't get me wrong, both of these ladies can "sang". However, the "performances" were not up to par. Melanie Fiona was OK performance wise, but I didn't care for Marsha Ambrosius'. She has a beautiful voice, but she is more of a sit down piano playing performer. She's not there yet. I liked her better with Floetry. NIce concert, but I expected more. As for the House of Blues, N.O., that place is outdated. The sound was bad and the monitors suck. I couldn't see the artists because of ppl that were standing in front of me and I still couldn't see them on those warped monitors. Have they heard of LCD/Plasma? Geez!!

This is the third time I ve attended a Marsha Ambrosius concert within a year. She is very bold, enthusiastic and seems very comfortable in her own skin. I am extremely pleased each time I attend one of her events.

Marsha Ambrosius is an incredible performer and vocalist. She has amazing way of engaging her audience throughout her entire performance. The Howard Theater is also an excellent venue for artist. We had great time and will ALWAYS try to see her whenever she is in DC or surrounding area.

Marsha gave a fantastic performance. My only compliant was the charge for the "Bar area seat" Not cool, but no reflection on Marshia's show.

This was an AMAZING performance . Yes the venue was big, but there was an intimate vybe. I would not only recommend everyone to see Marsha perform live, but I'll be buying a ticket when she visits NYC again.

I am not familiar with a lot of this artist's material, however, I became very enthalled with her and her great show! I was delighted with her non-stop, no bullshit performances. She opened the show with one of her finest songs "So good" and didn't miss a single beat afterwards! Minimalistic, and intimate, I dearly enjoyed every moment of this show!!

The Event was Great. No matter where your seats were at you could enjoy the show. The only downside was the limited food vendors.
