First off, hats off to the crew for MB20. With the forecasted storms, they got the show moved indoors to Mid-America Center which was great foresight. Rob and the guys rocked it! Unexpected lightning strike took out their monitors, so Rob did an impromptu accoustic while they fixed the problem. Then came back and played the rest of the set that was interrupted. They gave it their all and it was a great show! I'll definitely see them the next time they are in town!

Matchbox Twenty delivered a spectacular performance! If you can still purchase tickets to one of their concerts during this tour, DO IT!! Anyone with a ticket already, you will not be dissapointed. Rob Thomas is an incredible performer and they truly did sound better in person, if that seems possible. Strong, fun, emotional performances and the crowd/fans were fantastic also.

Band was great but the music was WAY too loud. People were leaving after only a few songs were played. I survived until about ten songs had been played, but had my fingers in my ears for the last three. My husband didn't make it that long. It was so loud that it was literally painful. Didn't want to leave, but had to, so we followed the parade of folks departing early. We felt like we were being assualted by the sound. Next time, we'll bring ear plugs. Never thought we would need them at the Majestic.

One of the best concerts I've been to in my 52 years. Right up there with Tom Petty. Phillip Phillips was cool to listen to. Kid has a cool style. Rob Thomas sounds spot on and played for 2 hours. It's obvious that he really wants the audience to have a night to remember. I'm going again in Austin and sure am glad I bought that ticket when I had the chance.

I have seen Matchbox twice in Grand Prairie Texas and at the Winstar Casino in Oklahoma. Their performance is second to none. In my opinion when you go to a concert you want the music and voices to be just the same as the cd. They are always spot on. Rob Thomas' voice is always fantastic!! And the music is always great. If you get a chance you must see them. I am excited to see them again at Winstar 2/1/13!!!

this was my second Matchbox 20 concert, the first was in 2001 in Rosemont, IL, with Everclear. It was also my second Alanis concert. I have one Matchbox CD, 'Yourself or Someone Like You'. I also have a single, 'Bent'. I recall Matchbox coming out to a Johnny Cash song, 'Cut You Down'.

The boys still have it. They look and just as amazing as they did 20 years ago. I'm so glad to say I was able to see Rob Thomas as a solo artist, and Matchbox Twenty. They are tied for the best concert I've ever been to. I think everyone who loves good music (and women who love staring at hot guys), needs to see either Matchbox 20 or just Rob Thomas, atleast once in their lifetime. They did pretty much all the songs you would tell someone if you were to be asked what do they sing. I knew what song was next, just after listening to the first 5 seconds of the song. I wish I could give them more than a 5 star rating.

Let me first start out saying that MB20 has been my all time favorite band since I was 6. 21 years later and I'm still in love with them. Rob Thomas is absolutely amazing in every way. Monday, August 7, 2017 I had my dream come true when I went to their concert in Rogers, AR. I know it sounds ridiculous, but as soon as I saw Rob, I legit started ugly crying. I was so overcome with emotion. We didn't have the best seats but definitely not the worse either. The concert was AMAZING. The best I had ever seen. Counting Crows was there and they were OK, but honestly we were so disappointed that they didn't sing Mr.Jones. How do you not sing your most popular song ever? Rivers and Rust opened the show and they were great. So fast forward to Wednesday and I'm dying to see them again. I search for upcoming shows and find PIT tickets for Southaven! I couldn't believe it! So my sis in law went the following Friday on the 11th to see them yet again. CC didn't show up, which was fine with us because MB20 sang more songs. Matt Nathanson opened for them this time and he was hilarious and great live. Let me tell you all, I didn't think I could have a better night than the their first concert, I was wrong. Being on the PIT with my favorite band was AMAZING. I got the BEST videos and photos of them. With numerous ones of Rob staring straight at my camera. They all gave it everything they had and Rob was literally pouring with sweat by the end of the show. His voice was perfect during both shows and sounded exactly like his records, only even better. I cannot recommend them enough! Go see them!! I have been to so many concerts in my life with most of them being in the PIT, and none of those compared to these two shows. My sis in law agrees. Don't waste any more time. Go buy tickets right now! If I could afford it, I would be their roadies and just follow them for all of their shows. That's how great they are. I also got a guitar pick that one of them through at the end of the show!! Now, all I have to do is meet the guys and I can die happy.

From the amazing opening act of Kate Earl, to the rocking sound of the GooGoo dolls finishing with the energy and love of music of Matchbox 20 this was just a Great night for music. It helped that you have a perfect night, weather wise, and it could not be better. But it could, I would've liked to see at least one performance with all the artists together. I didn't consider myself a huge MB20 fan, so I think my expectations were mild. Boy did I underestimate this show. MB20 put on an excellent show and sounded fabulous. These guys can play the hell out of their instruments. Engineering of lights/sound was flawless. Rob Thomas, though he can't dance, is an excellent performer and his voice was spot on. I have a new found appreciation and respect for these guys. Guitarists blew me away. The Goo Goo Dolls were good. I would give them 3 out of 5 stars. They need to remember that rock-n-roll is about emotion and that needs to come out in the singing. Some songs sounded like they just wanted to get through the set and move on. And the bass player was really hard to watch and listen too. I didn't sign on for a heavy metal show.

I have to admit I was suprised, Goo Goo Dolls - Johnny Rzeznik and Matchbox Twenty's - Rob Thomas can still sing and play! Goo Goo dolls provided a strong opening act, playing alot of the tunes you came to see them for and a couple of new ones. In the end, Matchbox Twenty rocked the house. First off, let me say that Kate Earl (the opener) did a fantastic job on her first major tour. She's got a beautiful voice and good stage presence. Next came the Goo Goo Dolls. I actually saw them in concert when I was about 15 at my local university (Oklahoma State) and they were every bit as good now as they were then. Love their old and new music and they did a great job! Matchbox 20, however, MADE the show. They are so much fun to watch and they really get the crowd involved. Loved the mix of old and new. My husband and I loved that both of these bands that we were obsessed with in high school have made it this far. Longevity in music is hard to achieve, but 17 years later, both bands are still rockin hard. We loved it!

I have loved Matchbox Twenty since college and have never had a chance to see them(Im 40 now), they were AMAZING! Rob Thomas was very entertaining. As far as the Goo Goo Dolls, I also enjoy them but I have to say they sound better on the radio. As a big music fan and concert attendee, a major pet peeve of mine is when a band actually announces they "have" to sing a certain song since it is the song that they are known for but act disgusted that they have to sing it and Goo Goo Dolls did just that right before they sang Iris. They must understand that without those hit songs that grab the new fans they do not acquire loyal fans, so embrace your hit tunes even though you have sang them a million times and are sick of hearing yourself sing it, the fans love it!

These bands are great on the radio, you realize what talented musicians they are with the live performance. Both bands played a balanced setlist that included new hits and old favorites. Goo Goo dolls lead singer passed the vocals to the bassist a few times, this would be my only negative critique of the show. Matchbox Twenty was stellar, Rob Thomas' vocals have only grown stronger and more soulful over the years. The whole band is top quality, the lead guitarist is amazing. P.S. Ticket prices were very reasonable.

The songs and performances were really good. As a hardcore MB20 fan I can be biased but undoubtedly it was a very fun concert. Both Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox Twenty picked some very good songs. Not familiar with the opening act but still decent and fun. Weather was not cooperative and had been raining and down pouring at various times during the event. Puddles everywhere and traffic was a little chaotic especially after the concert was over. Took 40 minutes to get out of the parking lot because there was not sufficient traffic control.

I have loved the Goo Goo Dolls and Matchbox 20 since they came out when I was in middle school. I have seen each of them on separate occasions but it was like a dream come true to see them icon one tour together. The crowd was a great mix of old and young and even though it poured the majority of the evening it didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits. It started with Kate Earl opening for them and she was surprisingly wonderful. I loved her voice and I felt like she was channeling Janis Joplin, whom I also love. Then the Goo Goo Dolls came on and they were awesome. At that point I did realize that perhaps Johnny's voice has changed as he got older but my god I still love their work! Then the highlight of my evening, Rob Thomas. I have spent many nights reading the lyric jacket in those Matxhbox 20 cd covers and to see them live again was phenominal. I can't complain, my seats were decent (of course who wouldn't wanna be closer) the people around my were tolerable, the drinks were cold and I got to see two of the bands who have always been on my bucket list. All I'm all a fabulous night and one for the record books.

It was amazing seeing two of my favorite bands perform. What I didn't like about the concert was that the audience didn't seem to know any of the goo goo dolls songs, they cheered when they "thought" it was over. Kinda got annoying. They all obviously went to see Rob Thomas. Either way the concert was memorable :)

This was a nice combination of bands that I have wanted to see perform for a long time. It seems a little funny to say that Matchbox Twenty is a "classic" band, but they've been around for nearly 20 years (hey, the Beetles were "classic" in the 1980s) and hit all the high points in their music set. I left the show feeling like I heard all the tunes I wanted to hear. It was one of those shows where I knew the lyrics (...no, I don't dare sing out loud) to every song they played. The stage configuration was good though they mainly stayed up front. Some performers don't sound as good in person, probably because they've been cranking out the same music night after night, but Rob Thomas hit every note. They were on for about 80 minutes, which seemed a little short but there were no breaks and they did a 3-song encore. The Goo Goo Dolls put on a good show too. They also hit the high points, and the stage was an appealing mix of lights and projections. However, the Goo Goo Dolls need to take some tips from Matchbox Twenty: "Learn the name of the city where you are performing and mention it at least once". We in the audience like it. A lot. While we know you will not be hanging out with the locals and just heading out of town as soon as the lights come up, it gives at least a little inkling that you are interested in our particular performance. Having said that, John Rzeznik put a lot of energy into the show. Oh, and I didn't know Robby Takac could sing (still not sure it should be outside of playing at a good bar). I suppose they let him at the microphone to give Rzeznik a break from singing the hits from the radio.

The set-list was full of awesome classics and new song from their new album North. Rob sang really well, and all the songs came out really well. There was some crowd interaction, but I was kinda hoping for more. I had a blast! This concert brought me back to my childhood.

The concert was incredible. Philip Phillips opened and their minimalism set the night. No fancy lights or distractions, just the band. The sound was good and the audience loved it. One cannot say enough about Matchbox Twenty. The entire band was engaging in a performance for remembering. Rob Thomas thoroughly enjoys what he does and they are down to earth. They interact with the audience and ..... I JUST LOVED IT! I would go again tonite in a heartbeat.

Wow, where to begin? This band is so amazing and talented at what they do and Rob's voice just makes everything that much better! They not only play some songs off of their current album, but they also played many of their old stuff. Unforgettable concert. Was worth the 3 hour drive!

Matchbox Twenty put on yet another awesome performance! They reached all of the way back to 1996 and included all of their hits from throughout the years. They sounded fantastic! I love when bands sound as good, or better, live than on their record. And Matchbox Twenty does! The lighting was fantastic, also. I wish they would have had the big screens mounted on the sides of the stage so people in the audience could see a little better of what was going on onstage. Other than that, a phenomenal performance yet again!

I first saw Matchbox 20 in 1998 in St Louis MO. Since I have seen them many times. I have drove to TN, MO, IL, IN, and even TX to see them. They are true sound. No other band can compete. I will be seeing them in Thackerville, Longview, Normal, and Des Moines this tour and I can not wait. Go see this band...you will not be dissappointed

It was the best concert I went to last year! I would go again and again. Excellent! I knew nothing could beat seeing Tom Petty and Joe Walsh on their last concert tour, but I tell you I would rate this one every bit as good and exciting. Great Music , perfection.

I have always loved Matchbox Twenty. I was estatic to hear that the event was moved to the Mid-America Center. My seats ended up being better than expected because of the last minute change of venue due to inclement weather. All in all a GREAT night!

After going to the concert, I realized Matchbox 20 is very underrated. I bought the tickets figuring I knew a lot of their songs, it would be a mediocre concert, and a cheap way to kill a Saturday night. I left with the feeling it was one of the best concerts I've been to. A lot of "musicians" spend a lot of money on lights and special effects to hide the fact that they suck as "musicians". Matchbox 20 skipped the lights and special effects, because they didn't need them. They came out, put on a heck of a show, and you could tell they actually gave a crap about the show they put on and the music they put out. I've been to concerts that had triple the ticket price and didn't put on half the show Matchbox 20 did. Bottom line, I'd recommend them. When they do another tour, I'll go again.

This band is considerate of their fans! They moved their originally scheduled, outdoor concert to a different venue so that it could be indoors, due to heavy rains in the forecast. This band has compassion! The opening song was a tribute to the late Tom Petty, who had died earlier that week. A Tom Petty song played, while the spotlight shown down on an empty mic. This band Rocks! I heard songs I've loved since the band began. Some I hadn't heard before, and some great covers of songs sung by other artists. This band Saves Face! In the middle of a song, lightning struck and the sound system was compromised, surprising lead singer, Rob Thomas, but not for long! The mic still worked, so he grabbed a guitar and performed a sweet acoustic rendition of Cindy Lauper's "Time after Time." This band is engaging! The fun never ends when you're at a Matchbox Twenty concert. Not only did they perform, they invited the crowd to sing along. Forget about your troubles, Thomas said, we are going to have a good time for the next couple of hours!!! Guitar picks were thrown out to an eager fan base, and just when you thought the lights were out, the concert was over, people were leaving....here they came for one last song. Sing along EVERYONE..."Don't You Forget about Me!" Matchbox Twenty, I'll never forget about you!. Thank you for a Rockin' awesome time!

What was originally supposed to be an outdoor show, it was moved inside due to inclement weather. Matchbox 20 was absolutely awesome. I've seen them in the past, and their performance is always amazing. Kudos to the people in Council Bluffs for making last minute changes to move this to indoors. Otherwise it would have been a disaster.
