Enjoyed the way the bands overlapped each other. You could see the positive chemistry among ALL the musicians! Phil has done a great job of assembling a group that feeds off each other, have no ego's and know how to play!

I have been going to concerts since 1975. Saw the Grateful Dead 3 times.. Many musicians. This is probably the most talented and entertaining band I have ever heard.

The venue was the best part. Everyone was nice and cool and let the dead heads do their thing. Dancing and loving each other. Music was awesome. The horns at the end was so fun as well.

The music was great and the chill scene made it even better. Phil looks and sounds great. Best bass lines in music.

Absolutely great show. Tight band and addition of Robert Randolf provides a creative and unique interpretation of Garcia s guitar without irreverence. The guest brass band was unique also and their performance (and transition) was like nothing I ve experienced before at a concert. Only glitch was first 3 songs balance was off tremendously. Muted treble and vocals since bass was drowning out. I was surprised Phil didn t catch it till 3 in to tell the sound engineer.

The show was awesome until the end. They should of closed with a more upbeat song. I was pretty disappointed. They had a great vibe going and could of let people leave on a more upbeat note?

I have been to many concerts over my lifetime, I must say the sound at the Asbury Park Convention Center was the absolute worst I have heard. I went to see Phil Lesh Family Band. I have heard Phil play more than 100 times, and never before could I not distinguish his notes. I realized how bad the sound was during the Donor Rap...could not distinguish a single word. I would not return to this venue if the tickets were free and God was playing

Easily on par if not better than Dead and Company, band interaction and musicianship top notch, all players really looked like they were enjoying themselves, and God Bless Phil looked really happy and into it ! St.Stephen/Whole Lotta Love way. Only slight takeaway are the new fans who seem like they watched the Dead movie or the recent Amazon stuff and seem to dance around because they are supposed to, years ago there were areas where you would go to dance, today you have guys who work out at gyms, dance right in front of you and have the fluid movements of an elderly person with hip replacements. They would not know a Dead show if it bit them ! But alas at least the music lives on ! :)

Wow. Amazing show. Robert Randolph is a beast. Great playlist. Many Dead songs and some nuggets such as Dark Star and St Stephen. Loved Nikki's voice. Venue sound not that great.

I just have to say that was one of the best Phil shows I have ever attended. Phil looked so happy to be up there on stage and the music really showed. Tons of energy from the entire group and I was very glad I decided to attend. Keep it up Phil and keep bringing the magic every single night! I always enjoy a show at Convention Hall as well!

I have seen the Grateful Dead 76 times. I seen other version, amount 50. Sorry Phil, I really don't light the Terrapin band. They weren't tight. Lost the crowd many time, where you look around and people on not focused on the music.,

Upon arrival in Asbury Park, A giant rainbow surrounded Convention hall! Phil lesh from the Grateful Dead was gonna play tonight and, seriously ? a rainbow over the venue? Nice! Good vibes where everywhere and I knew a ton of people at this show so it really felt like a local party to me. This place is one of worst sounding venues I have ever heard. It was not built for concerts. Its more wide than deep and the sound for almost every band I have seen here is muddy at best. No change tonight to start the show. In fact, I couldn't even make out the opening song until they started singing. Big River opened the show. Fortunately the sound did improve as the night went along and now I can say it was the BEST sounding show I ever attended at this venue. I thought the attendance was perfect. Just packed enough to give energy to the building and band but open enough to go find a seat or wander down low to the stage if you chose. Notable songs first set were West La Fadeaway, and Scarlet Begonias really got the place dancing. The second set was really good. Jack Straw opened. Highlights were St. Stephen >The Eleven> Dark Star. Straight from 1967. The Preservation Hall Jazz band found their way to the stage in the middle of Dark Star. The band left for a short break while they did their New Orleans thang. Great stuff, but in the middle of a Dark Star it kinda threw things off for me. Back into Dark Star, the second half of it was a faster, danceable Dark Star. I need to hear this again to decifer. it was definitely different. Help Slip Franklins seems to be old reliable for Phil as he plays it nearly every time I see him (Not a Complaint). Not fade Away closed out the night with PHJB on stage jamming with them. All told, a great night with great people in a local environment. If your a Deadhead, go see Phil play with this band. You wont regret hanging in the same room as Phil hearing old Dead songs you know and love.

The first set was good, but the second set included several jaz players(sax, trumpet) etc. and was a great 2nd set.
