This concert came as a great surprise to me, since I didn't realize that my favorite band, Tears for Fears, was adding the brand new venue, Daily's amphitheater in downtown Jacksonville, to their tour dates. When I looked it up a couple of months ago, the closest shows were in Atlanta and Orlando. Maybe it was because their keyboard player was announced at the end of the show as being from Jacksonville.........and maybe that is why the show did not include their touring partners, Hall and Oates. In any case, the new amphitheater was an excellent venue for these musical geniuses to get hot in the muggy Florida shade. Besides doing stellar performances of most of their hit songs, starting off with Everybody Wants to Rule the World (intro was a spacey, mechanized, robot-sounding audio enigma, ominously slowed-down to segue into the well-recognizable opening guitar riff), I was especially pleased that they did Badman's Song and Break it Down Again (from the Elemental album recorded without Curt Smith). A very intriguing addition to the set was the cover of Radiohead's "Creep," sung so expertly and authentically by Roland Orzabal, as he accompanied himself at the beginning with just a lone arpeggiated guitar. I was also surprisingly happy that they played Everybody Loves a Happy Ending, in addition to Closest Thing to Heaven and Secret World, but they didn't do Call Me Mellow, which was the major hit off of their last album. Who Killed Tangerine would have been another good one too, for the sing-along aspect, but there are just too many good songs for one show. The sound was great, perfect volume level, perfect mix and perfectly performed....... I was hoping they would have had a new album out to promote, but I heard they are working on one, so hopefully next year! Anyway, it was literally The Closest Thing to Heaven for me as a Lifetime Fan. Get out and see them; you will love it!!! I just looked up the setlist: see below

Band played well. Roland sounded great. Curt...was Curt. Fine, but a tricky voice to get sounding good live. Seemed like they had a lot of tracks playing along with them, which I'm generally not a fan of. Although for their music it's pretty understandable. Really good mix of material from all eras of the band, with a slightly greater focus on the first couple of records (fine by me). Fantastic light show. Very creative. Sound was good (not great). At times, mostly early in the show, the woman background singer could not be heard. As for the seats: I was in row H, which is a little farther back than you would intuitively think because there is a covered orchestra pit with seats as well. But unless you really love sitting very close, these are great seats. Far enough back that you hear how the band sounds in the room, but close enough to really see the expressions and so forth on their faces

Tears for Fears was awesome!! This is the third time we've seen them -- first time in Washington. We took our two sons, ages 23 and 16, and they loved them, too. They've heard Tears for Fears music all their lives. We had a blast!!!

The sound quality and music they played was super. The concert was short and was not as fun as the last time they played at the winery.

Really enjoyed seeing TFF for the first time, despite many years of loving their music. They interacted well with the audience, played really well and their voices were in first-rate shape!! Wonderful evening at a wonderful venue! Only glitch was a couple of songs with muddy/fuzzy sound quality, don't know what caused that but it went away. Michael Wainwright came on to sing backup and did a good job too (he's pretty hot).

Great show and long overdue. I would be happy to see these guys in a dingy barn with dime store instruments, but with that said there was room for a little improvement if one wanted to be critical. But first the good . . . great set list (but always too short!) I think they played for about an hour and 45 minutes or so with a good mix from all the albums, drawing heavily from ELAHE. The guys looked great and the band was excellent, though Roland neglected to introduce them. Lots of energy and engagement from the drummer. Curt looked much more relaxed and enthusiastic than their last visit here. Everybody looked like they were having a good time and they seemed to appreciate the response from the audience. On the downside the rhythm section, especially Curt's base, overpowered much of the music (and I like following the base line.) I don't know if it was the mixing or me or the heavy base, but the vocals and guitars seemed a little muffled- not their usual precise clarity. And the one sad note was the male vocal singing Oleta Adams' part of the Woman in Chains duet. Valiant effort, but not quite right. (My favorite song, so maybe I'm too critical.) Overall it was a fantastic night. Beautiful summer evening, great venue and world class talent. I hope Roland meant it when he said he hoped it wouldn't be another four years. Come back soon and bring a new album with you!

The show was fantastic however the mixing board people did not capture the talent of the band. There was a lot of reverb and the keyboards overtook the rest of the band - disappointingly. I go to the show to hear Roland's fabulous voice and guitar work. He was overshadowed by bad keyboard noise! Hopefully the mixing will be better for this evening's show. They deserve to be presented far better than they were.

The show was fantastic. The boys did not dissappoint. The set was a great mix of favorites and obscure. I hope we don't have to wait another 4 years to see them. The added bonus of a great outdoor venue at Chateau Ste Michelle.

We were so excited to see Tears for Fears back in Seattle (Woodinville, actually) after four long years since they were last in town. The show was great but the sound was so distorted that it made listening to much of the concert downright painful. Everyone in our group noticed it and it truly took away from the show. I must say that this was the very first stop on Tears for Fears west coast tour so it is very possible that the kinks were not worked out by the sound guys. However, there is a lot of work to do and I hope that concert-goers at other Tears for Fears concerts along the tour route don't suffer through the same distorted sound that we did.

Last night's performance was a huge disappointment. From the start, the band sounded very rusty, which was actually acknowledged by Roland Orzabal, one of the main singers. I think my friend said it best -- he said the band sounded like a bar house band trying to play TFF songs, as Curt and Roland painfully delivered a truly lackluster effort. It was as if they hadn't spent a moment playing or even singing together in years, and threw together a group of mediocre musicians who didn't appear to know the material very well. I kept waiting to hear the subtle familiar details from each song, only to find myself and others around me manufacturing them on our own, as the band was clueless. Easily the worst live show I've seen in years, which is sad, because they were so good the last time I saw them. D-

I was so impressed with the "old" songs and new songs and overall venue and performance. For being outside, the acoustics were amazing. We lucked out on beautiful Seattle weather. I'd definitely recommend this concert and will hopefully see them again soon!

Saw these guys a couple of years ago at the same venue. That show was amazing. This year's show seemed slower paced, with little energy from the band or audience. They just didn't seem into it. The sound quality could have been much better (and a little louder). I realize that they have to play songs from their most current album for promotion, but that album is about 3 years old and contained no hits. When they left the stage at the end of the show, they quietly said thank you and walked off. I thought they were taking a break. Turns out it was the encore call and the audience put little effort into calling them back. Did the encore and the show was over. Little fanfare or energy. Overall it was a good show with decent music and a few hits, but I had high expectations going into this based on past shows and was a bit let down. They just seemed tired.

They had not lost a touch. Was like being there in their prime. Every song was a memorable moment. Setting was great , warm summer night, happy crowd, no disruptions, great food booths. Overall, the concert was awesome. It was the first night, so there were some hiccups, and they can't hit all of the high notes like they used to, but Roland and Curt still know how to put on a great show.

It was a perfect setting, a perfect summer evening, and Tears for Fears did not disappoint! After all these long years away we might have expected a little rust, a little lethargy. What we got from the band was energy, joy (yes, joy), and our favorite songs played and sung the way we loved them years ago. It was the ultimate summer party on the lawn.

The band said this was their first performance in 2 years as they kicked off their tour. That showed. The audio mixing needed help and the singer(s) were flat on several songs. Plus they just didn't show much enthusiasm for the gig--not much to get the crowd going. And they didn't do some of the "standard" things like introduce the band members to the audience. It's the little things that count--or in this case--count against you. That said: the band's sound is clearly unique and they have some great songs that no one else can touch. Would love to hear some new material from them.

Wainwright was taping video for his documentary for Tears for Fears in the line to get in. He asked if I was a fan of the band...I said they weren't my favorite band, but I liked their songs. THAT has since changed!!!! I will see them again and again......What an incredible concert! They sounded even better than on the cd's. They opened up with (see favorite moment below) and just pumped out hit after hit. I am now hooked on Tears For Fears. After I got home I went to check on their remaining gigs and saw they are playing in Portland Saturday,July 11.I wanted to see them again, and would of drove down from Seattle, but they are all sold out.I hope they return next year. Was VERY impressed with the concert!

The band was amazing and they sounded great! If you like Teras for Fears, 80's music or a tight band, I highly recommend seeing their show. LUVED IT! I withheld a 5th star for two reasons. One, I wanted them to play more. They could easily add 3 or 4 more songs. Two, Roland is by far the better singer and needs to be singing all the songs. The songs he does not lead on are good verses great.

As a long time fan of Tears For Fears I found it amazing to even consider that they were performing again. I had to purchase tickets as soon as I heard they were going to be here in this area. While a few of the songs were a bit flat on the notes, it didn't take away from the overall presentation. We'd never been to a concert at Ste Michelle but I can guarantee we are now hooked. The ease of parking for FREE, FREE shuttle to the venue... great wines, good food selections though we brought our own picnic and the performance on top of that made last night an awesome experience for us.

This was an excellent show! Both Roland and Curt played solid and tight, and the other band members were excellent as well. They played a nice mix of their stuff from their oldest album "The Hurting" to newer stuff from "Everybody Loves A Happy Ending". The opener was a good female singer named Carina Round. She also did backup with TFF. Roland and Curt bantered nicely with the audience; Curt even demonstrated his ability to roll Spanish "Rs" while pronouncing Paso R-R-R-R-R-obles! Overall, a great show and a nice venue!

It was fun to hear the old classics. I remembered where I was and what I was doing when I listened to those hits in the 80s. I would recommend they not start with their best hit "Rule the World" as they were just warming up and sound and voices were not tweaked yet. Base and drums were mikes to the hilt....leaving my throat throbbing and heart skipping beats...and also drownding out guitars and vocals. Loved the Radioheads tribute, impeccably performed both vocally and accoustically. All in all a fun concert and God we went.

I was a big fan of Tears for Fears when I was in College in the Philippines. They had 2 very successful concert in the Philippines in 2010 and 2012, but I was already living here in California. So to see them live finally was really a joy! I didn't expect them to be funny on stage. I wonder though how they were when they were younger, their early years? It was a great show though. Yes it's tiring for a 50 year old guy like me to be standing for 3 hours but it's worth it.

I was very happy with the way they stuck to the originality of their songs and not try to "change it up" like some 80's bands have. They performed great, long set and cool encore. Roland is Tears For Fears. They sounded much better when Curt Smith wasn't in the band. But even Roland forgot lyrics to one song and his choice of songs was boring. Too much stuff muddled in the middle of the performance kept people in their chairs. A little boring. But when he gave it his all the sound was awesome, such as the encore "Shout". I was hoping he would play something from his solo album, "Tomcats Screaming Outside". Time to get fresh guys, and come up with a more riveting performance or this last show, the seventh time I've seen them, will be the last for a while. You can only milk it so much and people yawn and stay away. Maybe they should talk to Trevor Horn and he can infuse some energy into the band, the same as he recently did with Yes.

I saw Tears for Fears almost 20 years ago and when this opportunity to see them again came along I jumped on it. My wife and I got a babysitter for the night and headed out for a little dinner followed by a couple hours of Tears for Fears. It was our first time at The Fillmore in Charlotte, NC. There is no seating at The Fillmore, it's standing room only. That's the only reason I gave this review 4 stars versus 5. I would have worn better shoes had I known we were going to have to stand the entire time. Other than that, Tears for Fears put on a fabulous show playing a good mix of songs from all albums.

I never imagined I will see Tears for Fears perform live ! When I first knew this band, I was only 14 years old and they already went on their separate way. I fell in love with their music right after watching the music video of <shout> and <change>. They became my #1 loved band ever since. Now almost 15 years later, I stood 3 meters from them, hearing all the familiar songs...nothing changed much. Not even their voice, their move or style. It was more than a dream comes true coz I never imagined I could be lucky enough to be in their concert live! Not even in my wildest dream. When I visited HongKong in April, I saw the note for their coming concert then in HongKong but I would have left HK by then. I felt so bad that I missed it. Now this concert at Detroit is their first stop in their east coast tour. After the show, some fans are waiting in line to buy the merchandise. A group of fans started to sing <shout> over and over again with simple clamping. Amazing~ I hope they have more performance. GO TFF!

Tears For Fears have been around in one form or another since 1982, so it was was good to see Ruth Eckerd Hall almost sold out for this show. No one can deny that the bands heyday was between 1984 - 1989, but they have plenty of new material just as good and their first two albums. After Curt and Roland split in 1991, it would take until 2003 for them to start speaking again and another year before their last album appeared, "Everybody Loves A Happy Ending." Aside from two new songs on a greatest hits compilation the duo have been pretty quiet. I saw the Curt-less TFF in 1997 on the "Raoul & The Kings of Spain Tour" at a small theater in Tampa but since they weren't touring behind anything this time, I would imagine this was simply a cash generating tour. They did play some of the hits, not all. Enjoyed hearing Break It Down Again, Woman In Chains, Advice For The Young At Heart, Pale Shelter, Mad World and Head Over Heels. As the guy next to muttered on the way out, "I could stand to hear at least 10 more strong cuts they didn't play." Not to complain, but I agree. "Goodnight Song", "Sorry", "Broken", "Closest Thing To Heaven," "Cold," "Last Days On Earth," "Raoul & The Kings of Spain" "Sketches Of Pain", "Working Hour", "Elemental", "Mothers Talk"... in place of clunkers like "Floating Down The River," "Seven of Sundays" "Secret World" or "Quiet Ones". But, this is their show and they can't play them all. Wished they could have met the 10 of us who waited around afterward only to see their stretch Escalade barrel off to the Don Cesar. They sound fantastic and the music was played to album perfection.

Great Band in a great venue. Roland and Curt are as good as they were when they started some 30 years ago. Too bad they borke-up in 1990 but I can understand Curt's decision. The important thing is that they came back. When can we expect another album, it has been 6 years :-(

Tears for Fears was AMAZING!!! The show started out with just Curt Smith singing. If I closed my eyes I would have thought it was the 80s all over again. His voice is still great after all these years. Then there's Roland - my God this man's voice was PERFECT!!! Overall, the concert was GREAT! The last time I saw them had to be in the late 80s - it seems like time has stood still.

This concert made my life complete. I've always loved TFF, and I was right up front. I was by far the youngest person there (19 years old), and I feel as though I was the biggest fan present. I love Roland and Curt, it was so awesome seeing them and how they've changed since there's music videos from the 80's! The sound and lighting was right on.Every song rocked, I loved Head Over Heels, Everybody Wants to Rule the World, and Shout when the little girls sang on stage!

My wife and I were absolutely amazed at how very good they sounded and looked! Roland looks pretty much the way he did 20+ years ago. And their sound was so good one would swear it was a CD playing. They did all of their hits and sprinkled in some new tunes as well. They were both engaged with the audience and you could tell they were enjoying themselves this night. This is one of the best shows we have caught at The House of Blues in Beantown.

It has been 27 years since "The Hurting" was released, but both Curt and Roland can still rock the house when given the chance! There was never a dull moment during this show with many, many surprises! Michael Wainwright (opening act/back up singer) was fantastic as aid on the vocals for Roland and even more impressive filling in the parts normally sung by Oleta Adams on the albums. Both Roland and Curt sound as good as they did when they started out with no signs of stopping the rockin' music anytime soon!

I've been a Tears For Fears fan for a number of years, but had never seen them perform live- until last night. The concert was at The Sound Board at Motor City Casino in Detroit. It' was the first time I had been at that venue. Terrific place for a concert. I had a general admission ticket and was in the "pit" about ten feet in front of the raised stage. It's a fairly new facility, employees were friendly and helpful. I had the opportunity to bring my camera in and get some great shots. Tears For Fears put on a great show. Roland, Curtis and the rest of the band seemed to be in good spirits and performed a nice mix of songs from throughout their career.

What a great show ! Roland was amazing as always. Curt a bit off on his singing as he's been for the past 25+ years. Big surprise on "Woman in Chains as the opening act(forgot his name) sang Oleta Adam's part...well done, a bit pitchy but what tough shoes to fill. Overall, SENSATION ! Loved the venue too, first time there.

This show was the best rock concert I've ever been to...yes it's true. Besides being a musician and a big fan of TFF, it was my first time seeing them live. They sound amazing, with a simple stage setup. Masters like these don't need much of technology to enhance their true musicianship. The crowd was awesome, and for the first time in my life I saw parents bring their kids to an 80s rock concert ! So cute... There were no awkward moments, no dope smells...it was just perfect environment to enjoy the music and the wonderful memories that TFF brings to me and my beautiful wife.

Tears for Fears Played at the Pacific Amphitheater and played well! Their sound was good and the seating was great no matter where you sat. They were funny and witty as they tried to explain how they had to speak quickly between songs so that they would be on schedule. The Band opened up with the" Everybody Wants to Rule the World" which electrified the crowd and had all the latecomers rushing to the ampitheatre running to find their seats. Roland Orzabal still has his voice although Curt Smith's voice had lost a bit of the luster he had when was younger. Curt Smith was still able to sing back up pretty well. I think everybody enjoyed this concert. Everyone was standing, dancing, and singing to the music!

Hi all, Wow, what a great show. Months ago- I was very hesitant and a bit worried about the venue. The zoo? I had taken my kids many a time to the zoo and even caught the summer bird show at that amphitheater before, but a Tears for Fears concert? Well, all concerns went way out the door when they started playing. It was a great outdoor venue and the weather couldn't have been better- warm but not hot- with a beautiful sunset. Plus, it was their first sell out of the tour. They filled the 5,000 capacity venue and likely could have sold twice that with it being sold out in May. I felt lucky because we were late getting to the venue. We arrived at 4:30pm and doors opened at 5pm (show starts at 7pm). The whole lawn was nearly filled up when we got in and I was just about sick but wandered up front and convinced a couple who had these huge blankets spread out just for the two of them to let us sit in a small parcel of lawn just left of center (towards Roland) so we essentially had first row lawn seats in front of the dance floor. Lot's of just hanging out eating your picnic, listening to some cool tunes (that the boys picked out) pre-show. Viva La Vida, Thomas Dolby (updated Science version), Don Henley (Sunset Grill), Spock's Beard, amongs but a few were played. It's fun to think they picked out the selection. Met Nick in the bathroom stage left (under the stairway and balcony) but waited to say hi until we both left. Doug and Charlton were frequently poking around too. Gruno is everywhere. As some of you may have seen on Curt's website, there were two opening acts for the show in Portland. The first one out were three zoo-keepers doing a mini-bird show. They had some hawks swoop down from way, way back often with their claws just whizzing over someone's hair to land on the stage. The finale was a huge American bald eagle with this enormous wingspan. It was funny to see Doug Petty, Charlton, and Nick come out for this. Charlton worked his way right over to were the eagle landed and as it came right by him, his mouth was aghast- "Woooooow." Nick caught it on his videocamera so I'm assuming it will be up on the YouTube blog soon. It was actually a cool opener. Not at all cheesey. Imagine being one of the zoo-keepers, "Yea, I opened for Tears." The second opening act was Michael Wainwright. He impressed enough. Favorite song is "Someone Like You." He spoke a lot between numbers and before this one said that on his website, he asked for a female volunteer to sing the duet with him but Portland was the only venue to not have a volunteer so he had one of the roadies- Ady (sp?). She went up there and amazed everyone. He said this was unrehearsed but are we to believe this? She's obviously had some experience at singing before. Catch Ady at the merchandise booth setting up (tall, long blonde hair) and tell her to come clean. Wainwright did a great job mingling with the audience before, during, and after the show. It was a great way to promote his Cd which I bought and btw is produced by Charlton Pettus. It's only $10. After the show, he sits by the merch booth and will sign and take pics with you. Wainwright is also the new Tears 'whipping boy' (see below for more details). After Wainwright, there is more set-up. Gruno and his crew are hard at work as they were for the hours leading up to the show. It was fun watching Gruno going through all the little details like putting guitar pics in all the microphone stands, pulling out the green bag of Skittles, and opening the chilled Diet Cokes cans and putting them in their places on the stage. Ah, the coddled life of a pop star. The sodas came from the Tears for Fears logo'ed blue cooler (as my brother-in-law commented, "where can I get one of those?). Maybe it should be made available at the merch stand? Maybe Gruno can answer this- what is the small green spray bottle next to the skittles that Curt sprays in his mouth periodically, including before launching into the first song? Okay....well if you aren't going to make a show or don't want to read any more spoilers stop here. You've been warned. The set list was the same as the show in Washington. It starts off with the SFTBC backing track of "Listen" playing powerfully and loudly. As it starts to play, Charlton, Nick, and Doug come out, wave to the crowd, and take their places. Then near the very end of the song, out come the two stars. The place goes wild! 1. Everybody Wants To Rule The World rocks the house but unfortunately there is this unspoken rule that if you are sitting on the lawn, you can't get stand up for fear of blocking the view of others in front of you. There is front area for people to dance and stand up and this slowly fills up during the night to bulging capacity. This rule will get broken. 2. Secret World 3. Closest Thing To Heaven. After this song, the boys finally talk some. This is where Roland's British humor starts coming out and Wainwright starts to become the whipping board. Roland commented the last time they played in Portland they played "in the center of town which was near a Macy's where he bought a handbag. Speaking of handbags, we have Michael Wainwright with us tonight." He sings back-up on STSOL and others. 4. Sowing The Seeds Of Love 5. Call Me Mellow 6. Mad World "the original version" as Curt comments with the familiar drum intro. 7. Memories Fade. This version blew me away and I think is a pure treat for us hard-cores, long time fans. I've actually never heard this live in person and don't think they've regularly played this since the Big Chair days. I swear that this new version has new lyrics and even a whole verse added. I relistened to the album version tonight and it is nothing like the one being played! Now if I could only remember the new lyrics! And hopefully this will be released in the future by them. It's a gem. 8. Raoul and the Kings of Spain is great to hear again and now that I'm thinking about it, I hadn't seen them live since the Salt Lake City Live Kings tour there in 1996! 9. Quiet Ones 10. Floating Down The River is a real show stomper. Roland began by explaining that "this is the most nonsensical song I've ever written yet within it has the key to life." I also think there are some subtle lyric changes at the end. I've relistened to the original studio version from the Secret World France compilation and you can maybe hear a hint of this but live you can really appreciate the "Floating Down the River WITH FRIENDS" part. The crowd as I really got into Roland's enthusiasm and love for this song. He kept jumping up and down during the chorus with his hair flying. This needs to be released as a single in the U.S. It would do well! 11. Everybody Loves A Happy Ending- Curt comments afterwards that his girls call this the "wake up song." More inside jokes with Curt commenting that Wainwright is "O for 5 now." Roland does a hilarious impersonation of Wainwright almost word for word for what he said between his opening act songs "to catch up with me on Twitter." More Roland humor- "when they told me I'd be playing next to the monkeys, I told them they had the wrong band." 12. Seven Of Sundays is a nice change of pace and let's everyone cool down. It's a great song and Curt does a superb job. I see the previously mentioned fans' "Fully Pleased" sign just to the side of us. 13. Ladybird. It is during this segment that we notice as Roland waves to his left at two lines of fans up on a stairway and a higher balcony that there are two pre-teen looking kids dancing for the rest of the night with zoo masks on. One is a chimpanzee and the other a giraffe. They are wrap around masks that make it look like they are something about of Planet of the Apes. It is a surreal sight and I wonder if the boys noticed? Too bad I didn't get a picture of this. 14. Pale Shelter 15. Break It Down Again. From here on out, the crowd is up and dancing. Am really glad they played this. It's a powerful song and seems like it should have been a #1 for them much like EWTRTW or STSOL. More Wainwright back-up vocals to accent Curt's. 16. Head Over Heels. Kinda thought they'd go into Broken here but didn't. 17. Woman In Chains. Okay the funny part here is Roland states that this next song is meant as a male/female duet but 'if you've noticed there are 5 males up here.' On "girly man vocals," (Roland's term, not mine) they bring in Wainwright to sing Oleta's part and it surprisingly works well. Also, remind me to sometime post a picture and/or mpeg of the guy in his 50s who was drunk, took off his tie dye shirt (it is Oregon), and started dancing like Roland did in the TWYA video in front of us. All the other fans around us expect it to be on Youtube soon. - Encore - with Curt introducing the band, including "The Reverend", "Little Sicily", "Portland's own (Doug Petty),' and "I'm the other guy." 18. Shout. As I said everyone was up the last three numbers. I knew this song was coming and it is probably my least favorite Tears song but I was surprised how much I got into it. How can you not when it's them? There were a select few that had back-stage after party passes on "R-Roland" marked on most of them. Alas, I was not one so didn't get to formally meet the boys but that certainly didn't put a damper on a memorable night. I did buy the Wainwright Cd and an autographed tour poster specific to Portland. Had a great time. You will too! I'm hoping this newfound enthusiasm (the boys seemed really happy and energetic up there), will bear fruit in the near future and spawn more tour dates and new material. We need a new album! We can only dream but after last night it sure seems possible. All the best. -Chris

From the opening of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" to the encore of "Shout", the show was nothing short of fantastic. Roland and Curt sound just as great as they did in their heyday and their songs hold timeless value. This is my favorite band of all time! I wanted to see these guys since 1985 when Songs From the Big Chair came out, but I was only 15. I am kicking myself I didn't catch them on the Seeds of Love Tour in 89-90. I love Oleta Adams and the Seeds of Love album, even though it broke up the band. Anyway - back to the present. These guys are now 55 and I felt a sense of urgency to see them now. I had read some reviews that they are still excellent to see live, but Curt's voice is faltering a bit. Well, Curt's voice is faltering a bit but he still has a decent voice when warmed up, and he still rocks the bass guitar. Roland sounds as good as he did 30 years ago in all aspects. I loved the entire set from start to finish! This was on my "bucket list" and I'm so glad my wife and I made the 2.5 hour drive each way from Albany, New York to catch these guys as they did their thing. The seating at the Prudential Center was not the greatest. The rows are narrow and the seats uncomfortable. They did not activate the big screen for the concert (and my wife and I were in the nosebleed section). Still, TFF made it all worth it. I got a concert tee with throwback pics of the guys on the front and tour dates on the back. I will always treasure it and the memories of this show.

I knew I would enjoy a night of music from my college years, but this show far exceeded my expectations. The classics I remembered were updated here and there with a modern twist, but the integrity of the songs remained. The opening number was elegantly creepy, the mix of hits well balanced, and the closing was strong. Speaking of strong, the duo were both in great voice! They sounded fantastic! The lighting was interesting and complimentary, not overwhelming. It was my first show in the new Daily's Place venue, and I liked it very much - I'm looking forward to more events there. It's a great location. All around a huge success...I highly recommend this show to anyone considering one of the remaining dates on the tour.

Good show but band made us wait over an hour (probably waiting for sun to go down since lead singer kept complaining about the heat) and walked off the stage after just an hour and 15 minutes.
