I love Melissa Ferrick. I have been going to see her live for years and she is just amazing.

Tons of energy, fun and great music. Melissa never lets us down.

Melissa Ferrick is the BOMB. Go see her wherever she is for a completely absorbing night of fantastic music--she is virtuoso on guitar---, great lyrics and passionate performance. She should sooo be more famous!!!Her band was also tops. Totally rocks.

It was my first time seeing Melissa Ferrick - and she was amazing! I went with my sister and her wife. I will see her again!

I've seen Melissa more than a handful of times and this was her best performance yet. I love the fact that she always shares her thoughts with the audience without pretending to be someone else. She lives and laughs and cries while we all watch. We are spectators of her talents and it is is pleasure to see that develop further into new phases in Melissa's life. She pre-viewed a few new songs and they were great, can t wait to hear the new album. Melissa Ferrick is all heart snd bears all on stage. Pure soul and honesty.

Amazingly intense, heart wrenching singing one minute and cracking jokes the next. My first time seeing her, will definitely see her again. She also did a meet and greet, signed stuff and allowed pictures and chatted freely with her fans. we were a group of 10 and had a blast!! oh and the food was really good too!!

First, the Birchmere is a wonderful establishment. It's small enough to feel intimate but large enough to accomodate quite a lot of people. The atmosphere/decor is cool and nice. I've seen Melissa more than a handful of times and this was her best performance yet. Anyone that thinks that you have to be in anguish to write or perform music needs to up their meds :) Melissa seemed like she was enjoying herself and was comfortable in her own skin the entire time she was on stage, and was just as real when signing autographs. Not surprisingly-as she was on stage-her past performances seemed very self conscious; but this show was performed by a much more confident person; it was as if there had been a shift in outlook and demeanor. Perhaps it was just my best friend and I that noticed, but Melissa's show was still as fun, funny, moving, and wonderful; but it was presented with more maturity and ease.

If you're looking for music that will inspire you to really learn to play guitar, go see Melissa. If you want to laugh because it's just so damn funny (channeling Arlo), go see Melissa. If you admire a musician's musician, go see Melissa. You don't need to be familiar with her work...in fact, I envy anyone who just happens upon Melissa...she makes you sit up straight, look real hard, and stand up while you cheer. Good times.

I've seen Melissa perform about 15-20 times, and this was one of her best performances. She is so full of gratitidue at this stage in her career, and she exudes it. Watching Melissa play is like medicine for the soul. Thank you Melissa!

Every time I go to one of Melissa Ferrick's shows I leave thinking how freaking amazing she is. It is exciting to see her live. She is so intimate and her music so passionate. It is refreshing to see an artist so in love with what she does.

I traveled from Akron Ohio to see this performance in Ann Arbor Mi and I am so happy I did. I actually surprised my girlfriend with the tickets. I didn't really know Melissa Ferrick but now I think she is awesome.

This gal's talent is non ending. She plays like a child plays their favorite toys... with absolute perfection and devotion and love for what she does. Melissa takes the audience with her as one, its incredible how she can change her songs around with different words to compliment the evening. She's a master at her job and we can tell she loves it, her shows are always to the max of entertainment, her talent is in my heart, I love watching and listening to her.

I just want to say that the show was fantastic. Melissa plays and sings with a lot of raw emotion and really interacts with the audience. She has a great sense of humor and it amazed me to watch her rip on that guitar. If she's anywhere near your area, I would strongly suggest you go to see her. You will not be disappointed.

Melissa is always amazing live, and this show was no exception. Witty, conncts with audience, and can rock out, even with only an acoustic guitar.

I was extremely impressed with the Melissa Ferrick show. Vandaveer was very good, and complemented Melissa well. This was my first Ferrick show, and I guarantee it won't be my last! She gave a very powerful and unforgettable performance. She has a new fan:)

Excellent musician; amazing guitarist! This was my first of many Melissa Ferrick concerts.

OK, we were REALLY there to see Vandaveer, but did manage to catch the first hour or so of Melissa Ferrick's set before we had to leave for our next engagement. Vandaveer was incredible! They were very excited to play The Birchmere (which is a great venue), and played about 8 songs -most from their new album, Divide & Conquer. Their sound was just as good as on their album, and even better, their personalities shined, as well. Rose Guerin is just as lovely & compelling as is her voice, and Mark Charles Heidinger is quite charming. A beautiful pairing of voice & personality, and I can't wait to see them Live again! Melissa Ferrick can JAM! I would be lying if I said I was a big fan, but her talent is undeniable. It's just not my style of music, is all. Personally, I really looked forward to her banter between songs. She's very interesting, adorable, incredibly witty & edgy. I would have hung-out for the entire show just for that if we didn't have to take off. She found a new fan in my husband, though! All-in-all, a very enjoyable evening with good people & amazing talent!

She was talkative self- making great conversation- playing every one of my favorites and engaging the audience. It was awesome - words can not describe her ability to draw you in and feel the lyrics that are so heartfelt- Did not so much like the Birchmere- bartenders were rude- and at the end MF sang alittle thank- you cuz she had never played there- and the people barely gave a standing ovation- how disappointed- my friends i drove 7 hours from SC and we more excited than the locals...disappointed in the local followers

Ferrick was splendid. She told a lot more stories than usual and was extremely funny. She even interrupted some songs to tell stories. She was engaging as usual and somewhat more energetic than other times. Her ability to strum and harmonize herself is amazing. Her songwriting is awesome and full of wonder.
