I initially was not interested in seeing this play..maybe cause of synopsis might be boring But.....my girlfriend is big dance fan and told me she s going with or without me and got tickets Awesome choreography ..hilarious..super talented artists How these guys aka drag queens can dance like that in heels is amazing to see Big Cindy laupner fan so music was great Alpha males Don t be hesitant get your tix..discounted of course lol

The production altogether was awesome!! Words to describe this show: fun, energetic, hilarious, yet heart felt and touching!

Weakest part of the show first - the performance by Andy Kelso as Charlie Price was sadly unconvincing. More pub singer than Broadway performer. Perhaps he had an off day, because his most genuine, likeable and convincing scene was the fundraising bit at the end ;-/ The rest of the cast were super. Convincing and inspiring performance by Billy Porter as Lola (aka Steve from Clacton) and a fabulous comic performance by Jeanna de Waal as Lauren. Also worthy of a fabulous darling review were the "girls" or Lola's Angels. As my fiancé noted, it's disappointing when the guys on stage have better legs than the girls. Super production with some wow costumes, and of course, fabulous kinky boots. Final praise goes to the creative team of Mitchel, Lauper and Fierstein. Not surprised by their accolades - well deserved.

It was electric and scintillating. Powerful vocals and fabulous costumes. An amazing time was had by everyone.

My spouse and I went last minute and took our 15 year old goddaughter. The show was phenomenal! We all highly recommend it!

None of us knew what to expect, we were all blown away with the singing, music, and energy of the actors and actresses.

This was one of the best plays I've seen. The music was wonderful and the acting was superb. I laughed, I cried, I was truly blown away by this experience.

If someone gave me a list of five Broadway shows they were contemplating seeing, I would put Kinky Boots at the bottom. There was maybe one good song in the whole show. Granted, there were some funny "laugh out loud" moments, but not enough to make me recommend the show to a friend. I don't know if it's because I didn't see the show with the original cast but the actor who played Charlie had a terrible voice. Also, there were about two solid dancers and all of the others were awful; it looked as if some of them had never done a show before. The dancers are supposed to engage the crowd and I just didn't feel the energy.

Fun / Insprational / Funny / Playful / Great Story / Nice Message / Laughed / Cried / was a wonderful production ---> Loved it!!!!!!

This is the second time I've seen Kinky Boots. The first was the National Touring Company when it played in Los Angeles. The cast in the touring show was top notch, and I didn't think this show would be any different. But it was! It was even better! Brendon Urie was so layered in his performance. He owned the role. I don't have my Playbill nearby to tell you the name of the understudy who played Lola, but he equally was so mesmerizing that I could never imagine him not being in that role. It's a feel good play that I can honestly say I look forward to seeing again!

I am going to be honest, I flew my family from CA to NY to see this show because Brendon Urie was starring in a limited engagement. Upon arrival I was so excited and my husband and son were just along for the ride. By the intermission I was blown away by the entire cast and J. Harrison Gee is beyond amazing and inspiring. My husband and son were smiling ear to ear and couldn't wait for it to continue. This show was by far the best I have ever seen. Thank you Brendon Urie for giving me a reason to fly across the country to see this show, and thank you to the entire cast for the best Broadway experience of my life. I feel sorry for the shows I see in the future, because Kinky Boots set the bar!

This was a great introduction for me into the world of Broadway. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I actually enjoyed it. It is a g Very good story and the actors and actresses were just amazing. I have a theatre kid so going to Broadway will be an ongoing thing. I am glad we were able to get her to see this show. We also had the privilege to go backstage to meet with "Don"! You have to see the show to understand. The only critique I can give is that it was a little warm in the theatre, but the show made up for that.

this play was amazing for our whole family! the music is absolutely incredible and everyone gave a wonderful performance! brendon was stunning and his voice was stunning as well. the cast came out afterwards to take pictures and sign; they were so sweet! it was a hilarious show as well.

When I bought my Kinky Boots tickets, it was spur of the moment and I made all my plans around those tickets. Once we made it to Al Hirschfield, the staff was friendly, helpful, and kept that line moving! The show itself.....just wow. Great vocalists, musicians, and stage setup. The most memorable part- however- was the mixture of a diverse cast who mixed their talents and applied them to the characters they played seamlessly. I would recommend this play to ANYONE because sometimes we all need a good message and some new insights.

Bought tix to see Brendon Urie, as I'm a huge Panic! At the Disco fan, and wanted to see this show anyway. He did not disappoint and was everything live I hoped he'd be. J. Harrison Ghee, took my breath away as Lola! The two of them together made this show spectacular. We literally were standing, singing, clapping and dancing at our seats by the end!!!!

My fourth time seeing this incredible show. 3 times with original cast. This one did not disappoint. So uplifting. My daughter said that she enjoyed it even more now (age 17) than when she was 13 as she understood so much more of the storyline!

Overall this was a fantastically fun show. I ultimately went because I wanted to hear Brendon Urie sing and he did not disappoint. His voice was tight and he didn't miss a key. He even held a, passable enough, British accent. The rest of the cast was also pretty fantastic. It's a fun and exciting show that I would highly recommend.

I am a queer, black, college student who's majoring in theater and has been waiting for YEARS to get to a show on Broadway. The last time that I've been to Broadway was about a decade ago when I was a child. I have always loved Kinky Boots more so because of the story (learned through the soundtrack) and the message that this story holds that is still pertinent to our society today. When I saw that there were discounted tickets I hopped on the chance. When I heard that Brendon Urie was joining the cast during this time period, I became even more excited. Then hearing that J. Harrison Ghee was debuting as Lola, my mind was in a tipsy of joy. LADIES, GENTLEMEN AND THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE YET TO MAKE UP YOUR MIND, WHEN I TELL YOU THAT YOU WILL REGRET IF YOU MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO GO SEE THIS SHOW!! IT IS A SPECTACULAR PERFORMANCE!! The cast was SENSATIONAL, the message is ALWAYS INSPIRATIONAL, and let me tell you guys this. Part of me was a bit worried about J standing up to Brendon (only because of Brendon's powerhouse voice and I'm a worrywart!) but I WAS SO WRONG! J Harrison Ghee SHONE LIKE THE STAR HE IS!! HE SLAYEDT AS LOLA AND MADE SURE PEOPLE REMEMBERED HIS NAME!! The pairing of Brendon and J is seriously a perfect match in Heaven. The mixture of their personalities within their characters and the interactions were so genuine and authentic, bringing even more to their roles. Also THE ORCHESTRA IS AMAZING! Never underestimate how much the orchestra pit Go and watch this show. It will give you life, renew your spirit, and make you ready to strut down the street 6" above the ground!

I initially only went for Brendon Urie, but everyone was amazing. The message was beautiful, and the vocals of the broadway cast gave me chills. However, certain parts were a bit awkward to watch with my mom, especially the song "Sex is in the Heel." Overall, great and I would watch it again.

I had so much fun at Kinky Boots! A beautiful story with many cheers and some tears. I came to see my favorite rock star, Brendon Urie, who absolutely nailed the role of Charlie Price. I was quickly drawn in to the entire story and cast--- J. Harrison Ghee!? WOW!

This was unlike any other musical/play I've ever seen. The cast was incredible (especially main characters Lola and Charlie) the message of the show was heartwarming and relatable, I just absolutely loved it. I laughed, I cried and I truly will never forget this show.

We attended as fan of Brendon Urie and knowing nothing about the show, I think it has become one of my all time favorite shows ever. The entire cast is amazing the story is important and moving, we were blown away and I can't wait to see it again.

I bought the tickets to see Brendon Urie and was thrilled by all of it. The premise was heartfelt and the actors were superb! Lola and the Angels had me dancing in my seat!

What a fabulously fun, energetic and captivating play. Exceeded my expectations ten fold. J. As Lola was simply stunning...the role was made for him. Brendon Urie as Charlie was just as spectacular....the two put together made a story you loved, laughed, and gave you the feels. The high energy songs had you dancing in your seat. It had serious moments, hysterical moments, thought provoking moments and hopeful moments, we ranged in ages from 14 to 53 and everyone loved it. We have seen many plays, and this one ranks right up there at the top! See it...you won't regret it.

I expected to love Kinky Boots, but it was even better than I imagined it would be. Brendon was superb as Charlie and Lola...just beyond! I would happily see it again and again!

Absolutely amazing. I was wishing I could go see it again even before it had ended.

I found out Brendon was going to be in KB and ordered the tickets a minute later, there was no hesitation. I know this man deserved to do Broadway as he's mentioned how much he'd love to do that and wanted to act. I wanted to go and support him. I ordered the tickets before he posted a discount code so I wound up paying full price $179 each but I got tickets in the 2nd row so I wasn't complaining. I did want to bring all three of my daughters (18, 13 & 10) but I couldn't afford to. Had I used the code, I could have brought them. We literally counted down the days and enjoyed the publicity Brendon did with the countdown of his first performance. My 18 year old and I took the bus in and stayed overnight so we wouldn't rush around the city. We had prepared for the show by watching the movie and we were so glad we did. We think it helped knowing the story beforehand. We fell in love with the movie version and couldn't wait to see what the musical would be like. We were not disappointed! We had heard the CD just once to see what songs were included. The Broadway actors were so talented, I wouldn't think a better cast could be found. We fell in love with Don, Lola and Lauren. Charlie captivated our attention from the get go as he was who we came to see. After a few minutes, I stopped seeing Brendon Urie and saw Charlie. He pulled it off, including the accent. We've gotten to see Panic! twice this year so his vocals were not surprising but our tears were shed during his rendition of Soul of a Man. I felt like my heart could burst. Lola was glorious! When she came out like an angel in white and sang her heart out, I saw her brought to tears and I felt her passion since I was up so close. It was overwhelming as the audience appropriately cheered following the song. We were both so impressed by the Broadway Lola and couldn't stop talking about her well after the show. After we came home, we re-rented the movie and I made my husband and other two daughters watch it too. I'd love to go back and see it again with my whole family for my July 29th birthday. I've been dropping some hints! The songs remain in my head 3 days later. (I'd even see the play if Brendon wasn't in it!) The last musical I saw was Phantom of the Opera 22 years ago. I sincerely hope they sell a CD or DVD or even go to iTunes with this current Broadway rendition. I know I'd buy it. I bought the limited edition shirt.

I bought tickets for this show to see during my trip to NYC, and it was a highlight of the trip! As a fan of Cyndi Lauper, I was excited to see this project she created. The show was so entertaining and fun, beautifully acted by the entire cast and appropriate for most anyone. The lead characters were so talented and strong in their parts and the audience was fully engaged and enthusiastically participating. I am so glad I chose this snappy, happy, heartwarming show for my Broadway experience this trip! The Hirschfeld Theater is lovely, intimate with what seemed no bad seats and the staging was terrific! Wait after the show by the stage door, actors sign autographs! Only downfall, refreshments were very expensive!

Thoroughly entertaining with a story that has heart. Kind of reminds me of To Wong Foo when Patrick Swayze, Wesley Snipes and John Leguizamo dressed up in drag. And oddly enough, it was my husband who truly enjoyed it. :)

I came to NYC just to see David Cook perform as Charlie Price in Kinky Boots. I was blown away by his performance and also the performance of Kirsten Maldonado and Wayne Brady and the rest of the Kinky Boots cast! The shows message is top notch! The music by Cyndi Lauper is perfect and fits the show! This was my first Broadway show and it was amazing. Although, I went for David Cook and he s no longer starring in it...I would recommend seeing this show simply for the shows message! It s magnificent!

It was my first time to watch a musical on Broadway, and I loved it so much I saw it 3 times. The venue itself was easy to locate, and turned to be a wonderful theater with a history. The acoustics are excellent - one will be able to hear the music and singing wherever one is seated. The views I had at the orchestra (I got front row and third row) and the mezzanine (second row) were -- pardon again for repeating but it's true -- excellent. From the front and 3rd rows one gets to see the actors up close, close enough to see their facial expressions, and from the mezzanine one gets a full view of all the action happening on stage. As for the cast - everyone at the shows I attended were superb, especially David Cook as Charlie Price - he was the main reason I came in the first place (I flew in from Manila). He is a beautiful actor, in more ways than one. He's a marvel to watch - the acting is topnotch (one would think he's been doing Broadway for a long time, what a natural he seemed!), and the singing was fantastic. His beautiful voice filled up the theatre and carried so much emotion. J Harrison Ghee was a fabulous Lola, camp and so much fun, yet able to get across an emotional story too. Great voice, too! Kirstin Maldonado and Carrie St. Louis were funny and relatable as Lauren, and Caroline Bowman was a strong Nicola. Apart from these, all the cast members were amazing and did their parts well. Watching Kinky Boots is something that I'll remember & cherish for a long time :) Everyone should go see this musical. Hopefully they'll have David Cook come back, he's one of the best Charlie's they've had based on Kinky Boots fans who have seen the show multiple times (like one of `em has seen it more than 47 times!).

He was simply amazing and entertaining in this show!! The entire cast is gifted!! If you haven't gone yet...whatcha waiting for!!!

Worth every penny even if you get the full price ticket. Hilarious and stress releiver. Wayne Brady is great and fabulous. David Cook is consistent. Great songs, singers, staging, everything is wonderful.

Loved this show, soundtrack was fine but the execution was excellent. David Cook really impressed me in his Broadway debut. Wayne Brady was amazing. The ensemble cast really had great chemistry.

Kinky Boots is funny, uplifting, and full of talent. I was fortunate to see the great Wayne Brady in the role of Lola and the talented David Cook as Charlie. Both were amazing! Everything about this show is marvelous--the music, the costumes, the story. If you are narrow-minded, stay home. Or maybe go so you can open your heart to all people. As the show says, "Change your mind, change the world." It is an amazing show that I'm so happy I got to see!

The energy of the cast and their skill is wonderful we sat front and center and proudly led a well deserved standing ovation!

I bought tickets for our trip to NYC because David Cook and Wayne Brady were in it - we had never seen and my daughter loves David Cook. Wayne is just incredible so knew we could not go wrong. Plays/Musicals are my daughter'a things. She is the stage manager at her high school and pretty much knows how to do it all. It was just amazing. The music, actors, storyline, techies! So much fun! David did great along with the rest of the cast. Did not realize that the night I purchased our tickets was for the 5 year "opening night" Anniversary. We got to see the cake and hear cyndi and all talk about their baby! So glad they put it together for the rest of us to enjoy and learn from. Exceptance and love!

This show surprised me! We sat in the front row and thought we are going to be too close. But it wnded up being the best seats in the house. Every performer was so talented. The singing is incredible the dancing is soooo fun. I won t forget this show. Truely one of the best!

I had such a wonderful time with my daughter Ashley that I said I have to bring my other daughter Nicole to see this. The storyline was beautiful. The music and costumes were phenomenal. I m so excited for tonight s show. Lola hands down was my favorite performer.

Beautiful theater. Seats were steep and tight, but once you become immersed in the show, you'll forget. The performance was amazing, and the crowd got into it which I enjoy. I got a signature drink from the bar and it came in a cute collectible cup. Only downside was the bathroom situation. During intermission, the line for the women's wrapped up two floors! A lot of us missed a bit of the beginning of the second half. So, use the restroom beforehand!

The music drew you in, the dancing made you sway, the songs made you cry. The story told our truths.

Would see it again on a heartbeat. Story, music GREAT!

I have seen Kinky Boots on Broadway 58 times and have another ticket for next week! It is an exhilarating and uplifting show with great music by Cyndi Lauper and a heartfelt message. The costumes are magnificent and the dancing is amazing. The cast is kind and generous with their time after the show. A must see!!

Performers were wonderful, music was great! The show is long but so entertaining the time will fly by! All seating in the theatre has a good view too. We stayed after the show and got autographs from the performers including Lola!

There were no dull moments. The story was well written. The music,dance and acting was thrilling. At the end,the audience became part of the show. It drew me in from start to finish. I had been wanting to see this show for months. I'm so glad that I finally have. No regrets. I wish to see it again. A great time!!! Even my partner, who had never been to Broadway, loved it.

I went with DH, DD and MIL and we all had a fantastic time. The acting and songs were wonderful. Also,the 'silence your cell phones, etc.' announcement at the beginning was funny and beautifully done :)

I saw the show for the first time on November 1st (opening night for the new cast member in the role of Lola-Todrick Hall) and again November 15th. The show is AMAZING!!!! The first time I watched the show, Todrick did a great job. As you watch the show you can't help but to laugh, sing along, tap your foot and dance. It is moving and touching. There is so much energy, it infuses you! You dont want the show to end. The second time I watched the show, I noticed that Todrick relaxed in the role a little bit and added his own toddy flair to it. I am definitely going to see the show again! It is worth the money and so much more! Go see it! #sexisintheheel #landoflola

I cannot explain how amazed I was by this show. I was BLOWN away by the extraordinary cast and their loud voices and personalities. This is definitely a show I'd see again because it was that awesome. I got the tickets as a birthday gift for my boyfriend and he loved every minute of the show.

I don't know where to begin with my description, but I'll try with the words--powerful, moving, and beautiful! My fiance'e and I saw this performance and we both agreed that the high energy of this musical kept our attention from start to finish! It was a great storyline and the vocals were truly amazing! We had such a great time experiencing this musical that it made us feel like we were a part of the entertainment and it looked as though everyone on set had such a great time working with each other--beautiful stage chemistry! We haven't been able to stop talking about it and have suggested this performance to several others. We're also planning to see it again ourselves ;-)

If you're in NYC and looking for a fun, upbeat, broadway show that pulls out all the bells and whistles I definitely recommend Kinky Boots. The voices, the songs, the costumes, the dancing, and especially the message....all amazing.

The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because there are shows that I, personally, enjoyed more. Still, this show brings all the entertainment. The songs, the cast, the storyline - all wonderful. And, damn, those guys can dance in those monster heels!!

Went to see kinky boots in NYC and it was fantastic. I live in London and I will definitely be going to see it there. An unforgettable evening and perfect. Great story line, didn't stop laughing and a great theatre production. Xx

We saw Kinky Boots on Kids Night on Broadway. Wayne Brady played Lola and he was incredible. The whole cast seemed to fit together nicely. The play was very entertaining and is a must see.

Kinky Boots was awesome the entire cast did a phenomenal job. Wayne Brady stole the show what a magnificent transformation to Ms. Lola. I truly enjoyed the show. I saw the movie and this play was much better even though it followed the movie. Ms.Lola and her girls twerk and worked those heels and the stage. Bravo standing ovation.

The worst thing about Kinky Boots on Broadway was the poor acting & horrendous attempts at a British accent! They went from British to Australian to American all in one sentence! The only thing that stopped me from walking out was Wayne Brady who played Lola! Amazing performance by him! Also the drag queens were awesome too!
