Charlotte Funk Fest

Seats were amazing - under pavilion, fans were blowing, seats were close to the stage, all acts were spectacular. I really enjoyed all the artists except Bobby B...he's getting older and it shows - but he still put on a good performance! Can't wait for next year!

YASSSS!!! The Charlotte Funk Fest was life! Performers were amazing! DJ Dr. Doom was on point! Definitely will recommend to family and friends.

In addition to getting ripped off for a 16$ beer, we ordered bottomless nachos for 10$. We ate them quickly, and then went back for more. "We ran out," they said. "Oh, well is there anything we can get instead?" "No...sorry..." The bathrooms were disgusting, and there was no one directing traffic in the parking lot when the event was over. Also, this wasn't a funkfest. We listened to a HORRIBLE dj with AWFUL, WAY TOO LOUD sound coming through. When babyface and E badu came on, there was obviously a good sound guy on. It was loud, but not painfully obnoxious/disruptive. The "zodiac" DJ was AWFUL. He was just screaming at us the whole time. Erykah Badu was amazing, but she got cut off *in the middle of the note she was belting out* less than half an hour after she began.

Arrived a little after the first act got on stage and everything seemed to be moving in a timely manner. Babyface put on a dynamic performance... Ms Badu was on my bucket list of performers and I enjoyed her show until it was cut short by park officials. Other than that; I enjoyed it being my first time at PNC Pavillion.

I could go on and on about how amazing everything was but I'd need more space. To sum it up, the show was perfect from the artist to the dj's and intermissions, etc.

The show was amazing!! The only issue that I had was Bobby Brown wasn't own his game! He sounded a hot mess! Everyone was looking forward to hearing his classics but he did not bring it.

It was sad to have to sit through Bobby Brown and Celo Green was very disappointing, no band, no crazy outfit, just rapping.

Doug Fresh and Babyface were the best. My first time at the Funkfest and will be my last between acts too way too long to set up for the next act coming on stage.The sound system for the first few hours was horrible. Thanks but no thanks.

The Funk Fest was quite a pleasurable event. I traveled 6 hours and enjoyed every bit of it.
