Stone Sour

STONE SOUR is a multi-faceted hard rock force of nature. The continued ascendancy of Stone Sour is a genuine phenomenon. Resounding with more power and passion than ever before, on the new album ‘Audio Secrecy', Corey Taylor proves he is much more than the snarling masked role he plays in Slipknot. Pitting bone-shattering riffs alongside unforgettable choruses, STONE SOUR "have created the soundtrack to the rest of our lives" - Rock SoundThere's something intangible about a band with strong chemistry and when all the elements are fused together, almost anything is possible.

We ve seen Stone Sour multiple times and they just get better and better! Their raw energy is insane! The Orpheum is becoming one of my favorite venues because of its history, awesome architecture and acoustics (and fans are able to get up close and personal with the artists!) We came home with Corey Taylor s guitar pick too!!! Unforgettable experience!

The whole show was killer Stone Sour, Papa Roach, and Otherwise. However I think Papa Roach brought the energy that ignited the audience. I'm glad i went and I'd go again to see them both.

It was with GREAT anticipation that I was looking forward to this show. I was familiar with Papa Roach, listened to them from their Humble beginnings and remain fan today, but I was curious to see Corey Taylor front Stone Sour. I became a Slipknot fan mainly because I liked the music he put out with the first two SS releases. I was not disappointed. The Roach Boys threw it down for their time, opening with "Still Swinging" from their lastest release, and playing crowd pleasing hits from their 20 (20!!) year career. The new songs went well with the fan faves, After getting Pumped Up bt PR, it was Stone Sour's turn, and they KILLED!!! Mixing tunes from their four releases, Mr' Taylor was energetic, engaging, and Super happy to play for the packed Club Nokia crowd. A different vibe than a Slipknot show, but a good one. My buddy, who did not like the Knot at last year's Mayhem Festival, was astounded by the show that the band performed. Props also to the evening's opener, Otherwise, a hard gigging band from Las Vegas who also made an impression on the packed room. I hope to see more from these guys soon.

I've seen Papa Roach before and they were good, but on this night they were in top form. They had the whole crowd into it from beginning to end. Stone Sour just took it to another level. They were definitely on their "A" game. i have seen Corey Taylor before with Camp Freddy, Sound City Players, Slipknot, and An Evening with Corey Taylor. Each time i see him it's like watching him evolve. He gets more and more amazing. Last but not least JIM ROOT. OMG , he was sick at the Mayhem festival and then at the Desert Rising Festival, so I FINALLY got to see him at this show. Was it worth it? Yes, oh yes.

Great show. I'd never been to Club Nokia, so I didn't know what to expect from the venue. It was a good place to see a show. There were some obstructed views, but luckily we got there early enough to nab a good spot to stand. Otherwise proved to be a good opening band. They had pretty good stage presence, and since I have their album, I knew I'd enjoy them. They didn't disappoint. I'm not a fan of Papa Roach, and they did nothing to change my mind. Most of the crowd looked to have a good time during their set, so I can see why they are popular, but they are not my thing. Too poppy in their hard rock. The reason we were there, however, was Stone Sour, and they put on a brilliant show. They played pretty much the songs expected (except no Get Inside or Hesitate). The stuff from House of Gold and Bones Pt. 1 were excellent, and they even played the first single from Pt. 2, and it sounded great. Overall, excellent show.

So in my bucketlist was meeting him one day I never thought that it could happen before what I expected. I have been a fan for a long time, but this was my first time seeing them live. They rocked hard and the set list was killer! Great energy! Love the Buckhead Theatre. I would like to comment about Palaye Royale. I had seen them once before and liked them. We were enjoying their set, until the guitarist told the audience that he was glad to be out with a GOOD band this time. The drummer chimed in, yeah they sucked. We thought it was pretty rude and disrespectful to the last band that took them out on tour. So, we decided to walk away and not watch the rest of their set, no longer fans. #fullofthemselves

Stone Sour did great, but Halestorm KILLED IT! Lizzy Hale is a freak of nature! The woman can Wail! I mean, how she is able to talk after a concert is beyond me. She rocks as hard as anyone else playing in that band, but she does it in 7 inch Stiletto heels! Seriously though, if at all possible, check this show out. Very worth your hard earned loot.

This was the best show I've seen live. The Dead Deads were a great opener, and Halestorm and Stone Sour were amazing! The only complaint I heard all night was that instead of full seating, make the area in front of the stage (at minimum) general admission. Hard to enjoy this type of show with all the chairs.

From the Dead Deads to Halestorm, to Stone Sour, This show was AMAZE-BALLS! Started out a bit rockey as it there were poor markings for VIP location.. when you drop $150+ on a VIP ticket you expect to be able to at least find your seat on your own. Not here, don't even think that. Venue Staff and the Event Staff had poor communication. I watched The Dead Deads and Halestorm from one spot, and Stone sour from a different spot, same row, still slight off center of the stage like I paid for. If you get over that confusion and focus just on the show you will have your mind blown. The little up and coming rocker band The Dead Deads, that I had never heard of prior to this show, are a force to be reckoned with. Halestorm as we all know already is a force of their own. Hearing Lzzy's voice in person so much better than a recording. Arejay on those drums (MIND BLOWN). Never seen someone play drums so well with broomsticks (literally broom sticks made into oversized drum sticks)! And then of course there is Stone Sour... Nothing can be said that hasn't already been said in the past about this band. Corey's energy on stage just radiates out to the crowd. You can't help yourself but Jump, shout, cheer, throw your hands up.

Fantastic show with great opening acts. Hell or High Water started the show, they sounded good and the lead singer interacted well with the audience. Next came "In This Moment," who I didn't know anything about. But the following day I went out and bought two of their albums. They sound fantastic and put on a very entertaining/ theatrical show. Well worth the price of admission. Finally Stone Sour came out and as always Cory and the band gave us a rocking performance. You can tell bands that have been together awhile and know how to interact with the audience. These are the bands I love. If I just wanted to listen to the music I would stay home and play the CD. The "seats" were GA, so it was all standing room. We got up front because we showed up 3 hours early. Great venue. Clean, awesome security and staff. Hell or High Water opened up, they were pretty decent actually, despite my having never heard of them before this show. Lots of energy, lead singer was pretty cool. In This Moment was amazing, Maria is gorgeous, her band looks awesome, and I love their music. Stone Sour was incredible, as I assumed they would be since Corey Taylor is absolutely great. He was fighting a cold, and still managed to pull off a hell of a show. Very high energy, would highly recommend seeing ITM or Stone Sour, and even HOHW if you're a fan.

The last time I saw papa roach was with the original lineup, with Dave Buckner. That was in 2007 at the Orange County fairgrounds. I have been wanting to see them ever since, been a fan since 1999. They released their amazing new album the connection last October, and it is a very amazing and unique sound. They started the show with this awesome song "give me back my life" they played old favorites such as dead cell, last resort, between angels and insects, getting away with murder, scars. etc., Stone sour I saw for the first time and it was excellent. Corey takes the same insane energy from slipknot and applies it to SS, their almost a super group, amazing riffs from josh rand and fellow slipknot guitarist jim root, Coreys Vocals are crystal clear and ground shaking . THE VENUE HAS GOTTEN BETTER, they used to be really strict on photography but they were friendly and i was aloud to bring my camera in.

The venue has no idea how to handle a crowd. As people slowly started to line up for the show, several hours before doors, people were huddling inside as it was quite cold out. Security said nothing and we were grateful for being warm. However, about 30 mins before doors were set to open, they told everyone they had to line up outside by a barrier that they had literally JUST set up......therefore, everyone who had been waiting and standing inside for hours in order to be let in first, lost their spot in line. Those closest to the door to the outside obviously got outside and in the "real " line first, while those who had been waiting for hours, were way behind people who had just arrived. How unfair is THAT?!?!? So yeah, I was 2nd in line, and pushed to the back. The bands, however, were so great. I was actually there mostly for the opening band, The Dead Deads. They are a quick up and rising band that I saw open for another band a year and a half ago and fell in love with. The fun the band clearly has while on stage is so much fun to watch, and you can't help but rock out to every song they play- from songs about aliens, to ballad about murder, to blacking out drunk, they sing and play about it all. Halestorm came next and they kicked butt! Halestorm and Stone Sour also came and gave it their all and if you missed this line up, then it really sucks for you!

I traveled from New Jersey in the US for this show. I went for the opening band, The Dead Deads, whom, as always put on a dang good set. They kicked off the 4 band concert with high energy and loads of fun! The next two bands I was unfamiliar with- however, they also clearly had a lot of energy on stage. Stone Sour did not disappoint either, and also brought their A game, asking the audience for interactions, playing with high energy and heavy, solid music. All in all, it was great. And if you have never seen The Dead Deads in concert, or never heard of them, you need to. They are AMAZING. And they WILL be kicking off and getting famous soon. Just you wait.

Halestorm - one of the best hard rock bands I have seen in a long time. The sound for this band was perfect! Stone Sour was disappointing, we left after 3 songs. Sound was terrible as well as lights shining directly into crowds face. Wish tickets were half price or all money went to Halestorm.

The concert was a success....Dead Deads were good, Hail Storm Rocked! And Stone Sour was lively but hard to hear the singer with the drum being too loud! Also, we paid big bucks to be on the floor and it seemed that everyone was allowed to be down there....with or without floor tickets

Halestorm was AMAZING wish they would have played longer as it appeared they were the headliners but not so much. We got up and left Stone Sour they were terrible. Too loud, could not understand them.

The Dead Deads were good. Halestorm was incredible! Stone Sour was fantastic!! Corey Taylor has come along way from that "hole in the ground with buildings around it" we went to high school at.

This is the 2nd time that I have seen Stone Sour and I was so impressed again. I like small venues too and this one was not too bad.

Let me start by saying this show rocked!!! All the bands were energetic & great! First time seeing the Dead Deads, didn't know what to expect, and we weren't disappointed. Halestorm played song after song after song and the drum solo was as amusing as it was the first time we saw them 5 years ago! I love drummers, and Arjay is so fun to watch! Lzzy sang and wailed and screamed and omg she was great!! Stone Sour also rocked the house! Corey Taylor knows how to work a crowd! Very entertaining! Lots of headbanging, lots of laughs (for us DD's who were sober and caught his jokes-I can't speak for the drunks) :) As for the venue, I love it! It's the perfect size. Super large venues can have seats with nothing to see but the giant monitors and hell, I can watch a concert at home and be comfortable on my couch. Every seat at Sanford is a good seat! The ONLY beef I have is that the seats were not numbered and we had to have security come with us so we could get the people out of our seats. But then people rushed the aisle when the show started and security did nothing about it. In fact, I didn't see any security around once the show started. Other venues have security guards keeping the aisles clear but they weren't doing that here. So Sanford, work on that for next time please. 5 stars for the performance, 4 stars for the venue because security didn't keep the aisles clear during the performances.

Went mainly for Halestorm. Left after middle of second song from Stone Sour. Not impressed with all the F words from Corey Taylor.

The only rock show I've ever been to where they have seats on the floor instead of a GA pit

I have been wanting to see this band for many years as they never come to Houston. Well they were well worth the wait and wait we did. They did not come on stage until 11:00pm and it was a school night. They just started jamming when I looked at the clock and it was 12:15am so I had to go, if I would have not had too wake up early the next morning I would have stayed until the end. These guys know how to rock ! Please come back soon and on a weekend like Friday or Saturday !!! I will give the show a 5 star rating. Loved It !!!

This is my 6th time to see Stone Sour live and it's far from the last. Every performance is great and moving on numerous levels. Corey Taylor has an energy that's unmatched. So outputting and energetic it's contagious. Only complaint is the venue wasn't selling any real craft beer. It's was all Inbev "craft" despite numerous signs from real local craft breweries. $15 for a Goose Island is straight RIDICULOUS! That's why I only gave it 4 stars and not 5. Nothing to do with the performances, just the venues selling practices.

Maybe it was just because they were playing to the home fans, maybe it was the moon, maybe it was just the effect of the crowd's anticipation and raw energy. Whatever it was, Stone Sour killed it in Des Moines. High energy from the start!

This is the second time I saw Stone Sour this year, once again they never disappoint. Corey hurt his knee and he continued the show with no interruption. I hope to catch them again this year should they make thier way back to the East Coast.

Both Stone Sour and Steel Panther put on an incredible show! My husband and I had a great time. We got some free souvenirs courtesy of Corey Taylor because we each caught a water bottle he threw into the crowd. My only regret is not buying VIP passes to meet the band. They rocked it. Corey hurt his knee early in the show, but still came out for an encore. They were in prime shape and his voice is amazing in person. I would highly recommend you see them while they're on tour. You won't be disappointed!
