Peter was very personable. He seemed to retune guitar every 10 minutes. Steve started slow.. Ended very well.

This was my second visit to The Fontanel for a concert and a much better experience than the first. There were entirely too many tickets sold for the Train concert a few weeks earlier and people were packed in to the venue like sardines. The Steve Miller concert was a great improvement. There was room to breath and move around without much waiting for food, restrooms, or beverages. Although the seats were still dollar store plastic, they were not packed together as the previous visit.

My wife and I had a good time at the show however the stage was so,so and Steve Miller talking about is point of views needs to be for TV talk show not for this were I paid $145.00 to hear his music not his views on the USA. Also he needs a better stage show to go with thier music kind of borning.Peter Frampton was also great but again borning stage show.

Steve Miller was amazing!!! He played an awesome set with the band and also a few solo acoustic songs. The best was the encore when he broke out his Gibson double neck. He also dedicated a song to his late guitar mentor Les Paul!!! AWESOME!

The Steve Miller Band Concert at the MGM Grand was incredible! Each band member was jammin'! The lighting and sound was quite impressive. The crowd was so into it and a few people even danced in front of the stage. What a fun atmosphere! Steve Miller was very cool and gracious. It was an unforgettable show. Steve Miller Band did not miss a beat.

The last time I saw The steve Miller Band was in1976 in NY. I thought his and the bands performance was fantastic.I love his new band member, Sonny Charles.....What a voice and really cool dancer!! He was very entertaining. I loved hearing Steve Miller's stories of the old days. His new songs with Sonny are awesome. I would say this was one of the best concerts I have seen all year. (And, I have seen at 7 this year alone). Keep on Rocking Steve Rocking me baby .......baby baby baby..................

The show was great! Steve is showing his age a bit, but aren't we all. Can't understand with all the hit songs and music that he has made, why did the band have to play a couple of songs twice. They were his best hits and brought the crowd alive anyway. Foxwoods MGM for being new looked like a dump. They definetly missed the mark with this theater

This show was amazing! It was great seeing people of different generations singing along and having a great time. The sound quality was fantastic, not distorted at all, but could have been a little louder. His acoustic set was absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended!! So glad I went.

Steve Miller played his greatest hits and all were the familiar tunes and sounds that we love with some great solo's and rifts added to spice things up. Stevie Guitar didn't dissapoint - he hasn't lost a step and electrified the audiance with his amazing talent. A smattering of blues tributes Les Paul and others fit in with the bands traditional songs and helped to accentuate Steve Miller's mastery of the guitar. If there was a weekness to the event it is the addition of a blues singer to the band - his on stage dancing and the songs he sang were the weakest part of the concernt.

Steve Miller concert was very good. His singing and guitar work remain superb. Sound quality of the band and venue were excellent. Harmonmica and other guitarist were also really good. New member of the band Mr. Charles was a distraction dancing around, not playing any instruments, and most of the songs he sung were the least memorable of the show. Band could do without him. Rest of the band was tight and on target. The Bo Diddley tribute "new song" was a poorer version of "Who Dd You Love," and thus it would have been better to just cover the original. Paul Paul tribute worked well. Song selection was generally quite good but could have been even better by adding "Living in the USA" and "Space Cowboy" rather than some of the songs Charles sung. Steve Miller acoustic songs by himself were superb. Without Charles and some different song selections the concert would definately be a 5. I definately would go see Steve Miller again.

This was a great show starting with Swing Town. Steves playing and singing were in good form tonight. He played the usual greatest hits mixed in with some new material and a nice acoustic set in the middle of the show. The crowd loved it and he obviously feeds off the crowd. All in all it was a very nice evening.

Show started at 8:15 with a very enthusiastic crowd. While Steve played a number of his past hits he also included a couple of songs from an album that is in the works along with a few songs by other artists. He also payed tribute to Les Paul and told a story about him. The show lasted just under 2 hours and was fantastic. Now it is time to wait for the new album.

The audience was made up of every age group, I was surprised at how many young fans he has. There were 2 19 yr old girls behind us rockin out, it was great! Can't wait to see him again!

WOW...an amazing evening which BOTH Acts did a fantastic job relating to the audience and also interacting with their music and guitars. The show was about 4 hours long with only a short 20 minute break for the stage switch. Both bands played their Classics as well as numbers from their new albums. I was surprised at the LIVE sound from both bands as the quality was "just like the Album". I would highly recommend the bands as they are STILL Class Acts.

What an AMAZING SHOW! Both Steve Miller Band and Peter Frampton performed Wonderfully. My Husband and I had the VIP Meet and Greet with Peter Frampton and he was just so friendly and wonderful. Took the time to really listen and sign autographs. Still puts on a fantastic show. Played all the fan favorites as did Steve Miller Band. Stage show very colorful and high energy. We were very close to stage and it just didn't get any better. Highly recommend.

It was a concert of a lifetime. Two guitar legends under one roof it did not disappoint. The only thing that bothered me was all the up and down because people had to get their beer and then had to use the restroom but that can't be helped. I feel so lucky that I was able to see Peter Frampton and Steve Miller rifting on their guitars together, pure Awesomeness.

How Peter Frampton could be a 'with' as opposed to the front runner is beyond me. Frampton is (as he has been) just an amazing guitarist and an awesome entertainer. Wish I could have said the same for Steve Miller. The Steve Miller band was just boring to the point that we left with LOTS of other folks. He was putting us to sleep. The band played Abracadabra and no other top hits. He invited Peter Frampton back on stage to do 3 more numbers - Framption carried them. We go to many concerts and this one was given 3 stars because of Framption.

I had seen them in concert two weeks ago in Canandaigua NY and they were great, however this concert was even better! The sound was superb and Peter Frampton played a little longer and his three song set with Miller was exceptional. I had never seen Frampton in concert to really appreciate how good he is, but I had never seen Miller either. He was everything I thought he would be and more. If you want to here Miller's greatest hits, this concert is for you. He did not skip a single one and they all sounded great!

Frampton opened up and voice and guitar playing were great. Then Steve Miller played. About 5 songs in he brought Frampton on stage and they did 3 blues tunes, an Elmore James and a John Mayall among them. Great guitar battle on the Mayall, Miller surprised me he was so good, but no match for Frampton. I would see that again.

Great concert and well worth the $150 my wife and I paid for the tickets. Peter Frampton opened at 7:30pm and played a full 75 minutes and played most of his hits. He sounded amazing! Steve Miller followed about 1/2 hour later and played even longer than Frampton did and also had Peter come back out to play 3 more songs with him. Steve Miller also sounded great and played many of his hits as well, although the middle portion of his performance wasn't quite as good since he played a few lesser known songs from his albums. Still, he put on a very good show! We were very pleased with the entire concert and definitely would buy another ticket!

Steve Miller band was a real disappointment. The introduction by the announcer was very odd; the stage at the opening set was tacky and didn't work at all. Unfortunately Steve was not on his game. He began the concert with an strange 'deer in the headlights' kind of look on his face as if he woke up and was surprised to find he was on stage in front of an audience. Apparently something about his set up was not right as he kept looking at his feet and seemed musically off. There were back up vocals that appeared to be covering up and filling in the notes that Steve couldn't reach. My two sisters and I decided to leave after the first song, as we were not hopeful things would get any better.

I keep repeating to those of you that are hesitant, don't miss them (older acts) because time will eventually take its toll-they both sound great and put on a very long show. The opening songs were fantastic oldies then he slid into obscurity and stayed there way too long! Ended up leaving before Fly Like an Eagle because I got tired of waiting for a better song to start. Fine if you were already drunk or high, unfortunately I stayed sober to enjoy the music and just wasn't entertained enough. Great musician but he definitely needed to mix more of his hits into the program...Really, Calcalcalculator? No wonder it wasn't a hit...

With a heavy dose of the mid/late 70s through early 80s albums, Steve Miller Band put on a truly entertaining show. Had a nice without overdoing light and stageshow. Band members pretty solid but also clearly there to support and make sure the focus on SM. Some old blues numbers - decently done but not spectacular - kinda' settled the crowd a bit after a raucous opening of hits from those 70s records. Then a little reach back for some older stuff - couple of acoustic numbers (always fun to see the rockers get a little more personal) and then a couple of older not-played in a while cuts, then back to the well-known rock years. Had forgotten just how trippy Fly Like an Eagle could be!

I must say that Steve Miller wrote some of the worst music ever (think Abracadabra), but he also put out some of the most soulful tunes of the late 70's. I was not expecting much, but was very much surprised to be carried back to my teens and reminded of how fabulous some of the old Miller tunes really were. Great show!! Except, of course, the wasted time with Abracadabra!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steve Miller Band rocked the Woods at Fontanel Saturday night. From classic rock radio favorites to acoustical with some AOR deep cuts and more recent blues tracks sprinkled in, Steve Miller played a helluva show. He and the band were very polished - ought to be after 40 years - and Steve demonstrated much broader and deeper musical talents than what's evident from the classic rock station standards. It didn't hurt that it was a beautiful night - 75 degrees in August in Nashville - for an outdoor concert. Keep on Rocking!

Steve Miller remains the epitome of the laid back rocker. He maintains a genuine rapport with the audience and put on a masterful show. With just 5 instruments and one backup singer, the Steve Miller Band produced more genuine music than you could hope to find in the entirety of today's 40. He remains a guitar virtuoso who has not slowed down one bit. And, without even a hint of auto-tuning, his voice remains as clear and compelling as ever. Recommended to all!
