The jokes: Pueblo jokes were cute, but only meaningful to those of us who are familiar with the culture; would mean very little to travelers or in other states. Performance: Enjoyable but uneven. Not as dramatic as Painted Cave. Robert is much more effective with an ensemble of Native dancers/dramatic performers. However, we were absolutely delighted with his more "traditional" singing and clear skill in dance. Robert is not particularly competitive when he performs rock-but poetry and more creative, stylized performance is exceptional.

I have been waiting for Robert Mirabal to have a concert in Albuquerque for some time and was delighted to finally have a chance to see him. The music was wonderful and the food was outstanding. I especially like the flute and other instruments he plays. I have many of his CD's and look forward to seeing him again. I liked his interaction with the audiance, if I had not have broken my knee recently, I would have liked to dance with him if even for a few seconds.

This was the 5 th time I have seen Robert. I love his music, because he incorporates his Native music, and also rock. He and his band are so talented and play together exquisitely. The back up band adds to the total performace. I also enjoyed his interaction with the audience, and getting down on the dance floor, and dancing with people. Once you see him you will want to go back again!
