Awesome display of there craft, I recommend y all see this place, show friendly!

Simply put, Boney is THE BEST! If I could rate his show 7 stars, I would. Avery Sunshine was amazing, as well, and the Venue is nice and cozy. Overall, it was a great experience!

My sister and I had a Fabulous time! We always do. I bring my sister every year for her birthday. Boney puts on a concert like no other. You feel the love and intensity in his music and in the audience. BoneyFide!

What a showman! Mesmerized by his effortless playing. Just because the house wasn t full that didn t keep Boney was playing as though he was in a packed stadium. His band was overflowing with talent too. I felt Boney was playing just for me. Very charismatic performer.

Brian Culbertson & his band were amazing. They played over an hour and really got the audience worked up for Boney James. BC blew the doors off the Chicago Theater! What a awesome set. The next day I bought the 20th anniversary tour album off iTunes. Boney James was perfection; seeing him play live was an experience I'll never forget!

As usual, he rocked the house at Chene Park Detroit. I had a ball. I've never missed a BJ concert in Detroit, but this was the best & very special to me. The dance!

Boney James not only entertains you with his sax, he entertains you with his unboundless positive energy! He is all over the stage, in the audience, up on chair arms, all while playing his horn. He dances with ladies on the floor and gets the crowd out of their seats moving to his music! This is one of the best and most entertaining concerts I have seen in quite awhile! I highly recommend seeing this gentleman before he becomes another legend!

I saw B James and Rick Braun here in Birmingham, AL about 10 or so years ago. Thats right, that long ago, and he still moves me. I still remember the concert. It was at a local college, Samford U. I had a ball!!!. I was up during most of the show, and probably blocked a lot of the show for the poor man behind me. He was a good sport though. He even asked me when were headed out, "You had a good time, didnt you". I said "Yup for me and you both". It was absolutely memorable. At one point he and R Braun had a musical "duel" so to speak, right in front of me. They were playing just to ME!!!! I was looking through some CDs the other day and pulled out Backbone. Washington Bridge has always been a driving song for me. I love to drive and whenever I would travel, Washington Bridge was part of trip. I hadnt really listened to any of his music for quite sometime. When I listened to the CD I was transported back to the time I used to listen to him all the time. Before I knew it, Id gone through Backbone, Sweet Thing, and Body Language and for the next three days solid Seduction, Ride and Pure were the only sounds on my car radio. Id forgotten how much I just enjoy listening to his music. You know I tweeted him once and he tweeted me back. Im 44 and I actually "squeeled". I didn't even know I could. I want BJ back, when oh when are you coming back to the Ham!!!!

Boney's show was jump n from beginning to end, loved the mix of old and current hits. I love that he interacted with his fans, my wife and I even got to take a selfie with him.good

Brian Culbertson was awesome, this was one of the best openers I have encountered. Brian could have been without anyone but it made wanting to see Bony James extra better. Bony James is off the charts and words can not express how enjoyable his concert was. Those two brilliant musicians together was awesome. Can not wait for the next concert

Boney James plays again at the Northern Lights Theater. It is tricky finding good seats at this Venue through the on-line system but we did OK. His shows are always great.

This is my second time seeing him in 12 months 4th time overall. Saw him in April at the Bergen PAC. always entertaining.

Boney James was awesome. I don't think that Raheem Devaughn was a good fit for this show. Two totally different artist and two really different crowds!

I guess his motto is always leave them wanting more. He did not disappoint. The show didn't start till after 9pm and he played for maybe an hour. Other than that he was great!

Boney totally engages the audience as he works hard with his band to deliver the best performance possible. I have seen him several times and ALWAYS an AWESOME experience! His charm and musical expertise always capture those of us listening. Love him and would see him again and again!!!!

Boney & his band showed off tremendously! I've seen him perform numerous times and each time he outdoes himself! He gave me goosies on each & every song! There's nothing like seeing him up close & personal at a venue such as The Birchmere! Will go every time he performs there!

This was the first time I saw Boney James but it won't be the last, This man knows how to put on a good show. He and his fellow musicians are the best at what they do, they make it look so easy and effortless, very smooth. At one point he went in the audience and was dancing with someone that he chose out of the crowd. Luckily she was a cool dancer so it was a good part of the show. Towards the end it was hard to sit with all this fantastic music playing so at that point everyone got up and was dancing in their seat. He played non stop for almost two hours and had an autograph signing after the purchase of his CD which was very reasonable.

This was the best jazz concert I have attended in a long time! Boney James is a great talent and performer who invites the audience to participate in his show. He even signed Cd's & allowed photos after the concert. Love, love loved it.

Boney"s performance was scintillating and full of energy. He is the king of smooth jazz and demonstrated why again and again on last Saturday night. His blend of energy, talent, and creativity comes through loud and clear. He never disappoints. His band? Awesome. The drummer in particular. I would go see Boney before any other group out there. Went to see Boney James.Great show.Seats were good.Not a bad seat in the house.Very good acoustics.Scottish Rite Auditorium was close to our house only about a mile away which was also very convenient Hope you have more smooth jazz shows there in the future.

OMG!! From the opening song "Spin" to the closing with "Grazing in the Grass", Boney was absoulutely AWESOME. Loved when he came out into the audience during "Contact". The crowd loved it!!! It's always a treat when I get to see this MASTER in action. Can't wait until my next show in Dec. Keep doing it to it Boney!!!!!

Boney James and his band closed out the Berks Jazz Fest in grand fashion. They played his string of smooth jazz hits with style and energy and after the show he greeted fans with his infectious smile, took photographs and signed memorabilia for a good hour. Don't pass up an opportunity to see this man live ..... you'll be treated to something truly special!

" Go Boney, go Boney!! " That was the chant from the audience at the Cannon Center Saturday night as Boney James 'tore up the place' with his fantastic horn play but also his great stage presence! My wife and I are huge Boney James fans but had never seen him perform live before, we were not disappointed! I just can't figure out why it was not a sold out performance. He played lots of his familiar work and a great set from his new Grammy nominated CD 'Send one your Love'. Boney brought down the house with his finale' as he came off the stage and took a stroll through the music hall all the way to the back of the house... (I've never seen an artist go this far to connect with the fans before - he even signed autographs for those fans who were patience enough to stick around after the show. (see picture) My wife and I drove from Little Rock Arkansas to see this awesome performance. Boney you are the man! We'd love to see you again the next time you are in our area!

My third time to see Boney (the first was 13 years ago at the New Daisy which will not be topped and should be a DVD) The sound man got it right after enduring some ear splitting,chair shaking (bass drum) male imitations of Mariah Carey (how many chopped up vocal scales can you continuously do,man?) I believe Boney truly enjoys playing and it shows. There are many great sax players around and I like them all. Boney is certainly a great one. The show was a bit pricey and had me on the edge of actually going.....but once the familiar sounds of Mr James cranked up.......I was happy to be there. He also signed autographs at a fairly large venue which was very nice. Hope he makes another visit and as they say......thumbs up!

The last show of the year was INCREDIBLE!!!!! So glad I could be there. Boney and the band were ON FIRE!!!! I look forward to seeing more shows in 2010.

Boney James and his band "brought it !!" This was my first time seeing Boney James live and it was truly a treat. He has a grown and sexy type swagga. His shows are a must for the R&B / Jazz lovers, fellas bring your ladies. LTP

I had great seats, a few rows back and dead center from the stage which made the night so much more special. The show opened with Paul Taylor, Marion Meadows and Michael Lington. All three were just superb! They each came into the audience and played for us. Boney James rounded out the night, playing wonderfully and with passion.

This show was the best way to spend a Halloween evening! There was no opening act just straight to the man of the hour! He and his band played a great set of music! Loved it when Boney made a visit to the audience to include some dancing!

This is my 10th or 11th time seeing Boney James live and let me tell you his show just keeps getting better. If he comes anywhere in Michigan my daughter & I will be there. If you've never seen him perform live do yourself a favor and go when he comes to your city.

Boney was magical, as always. His duet play with the lead guitarist was mesmerizing. A bit of trivia: Boney was the keyboard player for Morris Day back in the 80s. Morris Day took us back down memory lane, and to a time when life was so less complicated. IT WAS ALL GOOD!

Boney James, always puts on a great show and this one was no different. From the first song to the last, the audience was engaged in the performance. The Birchmere is a good venue for an intimate experience. Boney came out into the audience and played right next to me. It doesn't get any better than that. I will see him in concert each time he comes to town.

Enjoyed so Buchanan this show. Boney played for an hour and a half straight. A great artist and performer. The way he seamlessly changed from tenor, alto, and soprano sax with the tenor being his favorite. His band was so tight between percussion, bass and lead guitar, and keyboards. They were a marvelous backup. I look forward to his return to Tucson and I hope for more jazz performers in Tucson.

We are a Texas couple who planned a short trip to New York and included tickets to Boney James at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill as a "must see event." And we are so glad that we did! The performance was off the chain. Mr. James and his outstanding band had everyone standing throughout the performance. He is a phenomenal artist and we definitely plan to see him again in the near future.

Bonnie James played a mix of his old tunes and latest recordings. His vocalist band member and his band did a good job of getting the crown roused up, when performing the song ride.

Boney gives his best and it's always a party. I've never missed a concert in Detroit or Michigan. It's unbelievable that he came to entertain us twice in one year, but I didn't miss A Beat. That's how much I love to see this Gifted and phenomenal guy perform. Not one concert is ever the same!!!

The concert was truly unforgettable. June 24, 2016 was my first time at the Venue... I love it! Omg ... Boney James ... you are an awesome performer. I will never miss your concert whenever you return to Indiana or Illinois.

Boney James was fantastic. It was my first time seeing him in concert, but definitely not my last. Project Grand Slam, the opening act was also great.

Boney James never disappoints whenever I see him. We saw him as part of the Berks Jazz Festival in Reading, PA. He was incredible. He played a host of songs off of his latest CD "Future Soul", which I have fallen in love with. He goes out into the audience and really entertains the crowd with is incredible talent as a saxophonist. I will go see Boney whenever I have the chance to!

As always, Boney James delivers! The show was outstanding and he serenaded the audience with a mix of his hits. I just wish he would have played a bit longer. The show lasted about an hour and a half. I would definitely go and see Boney again!

Brian had been my favorite singer since his first album " Brian McKnight". His music is the soundtrack of my life. No other artist moves me the way his music does. His live shows are a must for any true fan or anyone doubting his vocal ability. He never disappoints. I love that his show is interactive and that he is such a people person with a wonderful personality. Thanks for a great show!

I have to see Boney James annually. He music helps to sooth my soul. He never ever disappoints! He plays his music so effortlessly and is very connected to his audience. I appreciate his artistry. If you ever have the opportunity to see him live jump on it. You won't regret it. As for Brian Mc Knight, I was never a staunch fan. I love his ballets don't get me wrong. Theu can make an intimate night just that "intimate"! Surprisingly enough he gives an outstanding show as well! He is funny and had great stage presence. Also shout to his band director "big sexy"! That brutha lovers his job!! Great night!

My husband and I had an amazing time at the Brian Culbertson & Boney James concert. It is just refreshing to see true musicians enjoying what they do and what they love. The energy at the Chicago theatre was incredible. And when you thought it couldn't get any better... Boney and Brian came together and just blew everyone away. Would we see them again....No Doubt!! Oh, and they signed their CD's and took the time for pictures and conversation! Awesome!!!!!!

I took a friend who had never seen Boney live. He showed her what a real live music concert feels sounds and looks like. I see him every year when he comes to the Chicago area. He never disappoints. We both left their walking on air.

Boney came out and did his thing, he sounded as good as his CD, I will come see him again at Chene Park and I never get to box office at Chene so I use the next best thing which is Ticketmaster.

Thee entire night was incredible! The weather and music was so calming. I went with my male friend who never heard of Boney James and he absolutely loved the concert!

Went to Count Basie with family to see Boney James it was energetic, engaging, and 2 hrs of lively audience participation. Boney and the band kept it going with no downtime. Great personality as he interacted with the crowd.

Boney James is probably one of the smoothest sax players of all times. He commands the audience's full attention with his skillful riffs on the tenor, alto, and soprano saxophones. He is by far one of the best, if not the best. You will want to go and see him time after time when he comes to your area. And he always has a great band!

Boney was great, holding a note for about 2mins. This venue is ok , but needs some TLC, especially the ceiling: it s a pieces of plaster missing.and peeling.

Great music! Personally, I loved Boney's footwork while he was playing! LOL! To me, his footwork helped make it a more soulful experience! He and his band associates did give the audience what they wanted - which was a great time! The audience did ask for more music after a 2-hour performance, and they delivered! I'd highly recommend this event!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Boney and his awesome band. We've seen many jazz musicians in concert and feel that Boney was definitely in the top three of our favorite concerts. I would definitely recommend seeing him live! All members displayed true talent and passion in playing, evidenced by their multiple solos. We were dancing in our seats, if not in the isles.

Great Opening Acts, and Exceptional Final Performance by Boney James and his crew. If you aren't a fan of this guy's, you are missing out on one of lifes great pleasures. It was amazing!
