Nationwide Arena is a stellar venue for an event, especially hockey! Parking is pricey but convenient, the staff at the arena are extremely helpful and very friendly. The food options are plentiful and many are unique (like a ridiculous slab of bacon on a stick!). The entertainment between the action is fun and engaging, and the fans are all super energetic and friendly! I would recommend a Blue Jackets game at Nationwide Arena to anyone.

Great game, great atmosphere...just a very fun night for all. Concession prices being raised was a little surprising with the economy in Ohio the way it is, but outside of that, great night. Go Jackets!

The Jackets started out the season with a win that was just what the fans wanted. Since we came into the league the same year as the Minnesota Wild, it is always a good measuring stick to see how we compare. The crowd was electric and Steve Mason delivered an outstanding performance between the pipes. Don't wait to jump on this train which is heading toward another play off season. We even got to see a short handed goal, and since R. J. Umberger is one of the team leaders, this gives OSU fans reason to celebrate. Come on out, it is great family fun. My son and I will be taking in at least five more regular season games before the real fun begins.

First professional hockey game, I attended. It was a good time. Seats weren't as close as I would have liked but still decent seats and I could see all the action. I waited for one of those fights between teams and players but it didn't happen. Many of the fans were dressed in Blue Jacket attire and supported their players. It was a sport-like atmosphere and the Blue Jackets won. The event was more than I expected. I will probably go again. Only downfall, it was colder in the venue than I thought it would be.

From beginning to end, this game was awesome. Columbus really put on a great show in the pre-game entertainment and I was so happy to be a part of it all. I'm thrilled that I was there for this game and so close to the ice. This was well worth a two hour drive from Cincinnati.

The Blue Jackets started the season with a great game against the Minnesota Wild, The Jackets rewarded the sell-out crowd with a 2-1 victory.
Nationwide Arena is an awesome atmosphere for hockey. Everytime I have gone, it's been a fantastic evening out. Last night I took my 8 year old son for his first regular season game and created a Blue Jackets fan for life! If you've never been to a game, treat yourself. It is a great time no matter what you age.
Everything went as planned. Tickets arrived a day before the hockey game. Included with the tickets were the coupons for a hotdog, popcorn and a drink. We had to get all three food items at one time. It would have been nice to come back later for the popcorn. It was difficult to care everything. Seats were good. Everybody had a good time.
This is a great way to share a hockey game with children. The package is very affordable and includes a hot dog, drink, and popcorn so you don't have to spend any extra money once you arrive. The seats are up high, but for young children (and adults that aren't sure they would like hockey) it offers a great view of all of the plays. We have purchased this package 4 different times and have not been disappointed.
I was a little disappointed that the majority of fans seemed to be there to watch the pens play, as I noticed I was one of about 10 blue jackets fans in my section, but the game was amazing, and I was pumped to be able to see John Moore play!!
Besides the fact that my team lost, I enjoyed the atmosphere at Nationwide. It is a great arena with great views from almost everywhere. The one annoying thing is that after every blue jackets goal they fire a big cannon that is so loud it hurts your ears. But if it gets fans fired up for hockey...I love it! Hopefully when I go next month, I'll see a Penguins win.
I've attended both regular season and preseason games and the hype around them are very similar. I loved my experience last night while attending the Penguins vs. Jackets game. Nationwide is honestly one of the best venues out there and preseason or not, it's always fun to watch the young Jackets team beat up on other teams!

I bought the tickets for my sons 18th Birthday. It was a huge gift! Instead of the seats in the nosebleed section we went all out and got ones a few rows from the ice. Two days before the game he got sick and the doctor put him in isolation so he didn't get to go. He was very upset needless to say. He gave the tickets to his father and brother who were able to enjoy them.

Nationwide Arena, and the surrounding Arena District is a great place to visit and watch a game. The Arena itself is nice, and we especially enjoyed the "convenience mart" concession stand, where we could grab our own beers and go! All in all a great time! I can only hope the CBJ is as good next year as they were the last half of the season. Maybe they fill the house and plaza like that more than one day out of the year. Maybe they make the playoffs and we win a game (or even series) there. Only bad thing was the increase in security after Boston + crowds they haven't had all season = not everybody able to get into the rink by the opening faceoff. Until next year....

Parking was a breeze in the garage just west of the arena. Bag checker and all Nationwide Staff were very friendly and interactive with our kids. I have sat all over that arena and havenever had a bad seat our seats this time arround (201) were great. It's great yo have such a high quality venue and a team that has a chance to win every night. John Davidson and Jarmo are truly building an organization to be proud of. Brick by Brick is the upper management moto. I feel as a fan we are the mortar holding those bricks in place. Would highly recommend anyone experience a game at NWA if they get a chance.

What a great game! Nationwide Arena and the Columbus Blue jackets had a great atmosphere for the game. Tons of fun stuff going on in the main area, for both young and old. They really create a family friendly environment... but also fun for adults. The arena gleams and the ushers are some of the nicest people I've ever come into contact with at a sporting event. Also, they let you go down to the glass during warm-ups, regardless of where your actual seats are. So, I was about a foot away from Corey Crawford and this pleased me greatly. My seats were in the upper bowl, and this was actually a pretty great view for the hockey game. It's not the same as being up close of course... but you still feel a part of the action on the ice. Food was good, but, as is true in every arena, extremely overpriced.

This was my first NHL game, and I don't think I could ever forget it. The Jackets and their staff really went the extra mile to make every fan feel so welcome, and to let the fans know that they were extremely happy to be back out on the ice. The light show was well-executed, and the audio kept everyone up to date, with little to no feedback in any of the monitors. Both teams fought hard for the victory, and the game was not decided until the shootout. Everyone around me seemed excited to be back in Nationwide Arena, and no one seemed to be getting too aggressive (for a hockey game). All in all, this was a fantastic game, and I was glad that the Jackets had discounted tickets, free vouchers, and the opportunities for free jerseys. I expect to be back in Nationwide before the season is over.

We had a great time at the game on Saturday. As a Chicago fan, I especially enjoyed it because they won, but aside from that, Nationwide arena is a fantastic venue. We had club level seats and had a great view of the game. Food was great and so was the atmosphere. Would definitely come back again, (and I am), very soon.
Nationwide Arena is Awesome! We were halfway up the upper level could see the action of the game just fine. We purchased the family value pack for $25 which also include a hot dog, drink, popcorn, an ice cream cone and a ticket for skate rental. This was an exceptional value.
We saw a great 5-1 win over the Buffalo Sabres. The Blue Jackets scored first and never looked back. Along with a great game, the arena district and arena itself are gorgeous and first rate all the way!
Nationwide Arena is a very nice venue for hockey. I came into town to watch the Predators play the Blue Jackets on opening night. The house was packed. Despite being a fan for the opposing team, I was treated with respect from everyone. Kudos to the Blue Jackets Fanbase. The view from my seat was fantastic. The alcohol and food was reasonably priced. I would definitely come back when the Predators come into town again. Hopefully, we'll get another close and well played game by both sides. My only complaint is that the price for the tickets are high, but that is consistent with most hockey venues.
Considering all that you get, it was a great deal. I took my 2 kids and we had a blast. I wished the Blue Jackets would have played better, but it was still fun. I will definitely be doing this again on another Friday!!!
Great venue. Fun activities for kids and adults. Great crowd. Friendly and loyal to Blue Jackets. AND the Cannon is the icing on the cake! If you are in Columbus...GO!
Made a trip up from virginia to see my flyers take on the jackets. I've always had a fan boy side for columbus for some reason. Anyways, my fiance and i left at 6am to get to columbus a few hours before the game to grab some local food and walk around the city a bit. Got there at a little after 12 and was welcomed to the building by a huge image of bob and foligno (how can you NOT love these guys). The fans were incredible, very welcoming and very friendly people. The building was immaculate, greeted by some happy faces and yes! Finally after 6 1/2 hours of drive time we made it! Go to our seats in section 122 and watched my favorite tendy (bobrovsky) take some warm ups before the game and of course snagged some pics. Well, we all know how the game went. Bob shuts the door (thanks bob, i just wanted to celebrate once...but nooooooooo). Anyway, the whole organization was just awesome. The fanbase, the ushers, concessions and random guest services people were all just insanely friendly (yes despite my brightly colored winter classic jersey). The building is fantastic, for such a short story franchise the building has a very rich team history feel. 5/5 would and will definitely be visiting again. Must make a yearly pilgrimage to this amazing place! Thank you from the bottom of my black flyers heart for such a great time!!!

We got there 4 hours before the game and every place around there had a 3 hour wait and the Chipolte wouldn't open until 1 hour before puck drop, the lost a lot of business because of that I'm sure. This Is The 4Th Time We Have Gone. We Are Colorado Fans But Even When TheY Lost The Atmosphere Was Fantastic In The Stadium.
This was my first professional hockey game and it was awesome! Our seats were great with a good view of the ice. We sat 20 rows up from the glass, in the lower bowl. The venue was very clean and modern with a good and and friendly staff. We are already planning for another game.
Me and my boyfriend went to this game it was my first game and I had a great time ! We are definitely looking into going to another game ! Only thing was the food and drinks are way overpriced eat before you go !
The whole series was awesome - especially the Game 4 OT win for first playoff victory in franchise history --- coming back from a 3-0 deficit in the game. This Game 6 (Game 3 at Home) was tremendous with fan support throughout - the 3 goals in 5 minutes midway through third period were memorable. The speed and constant action in hockey make it a spectator's sport, especially when in Nationwide Arena and watching the physical pounding our Blue Jackets dole out! Kudos to CBJ and a great season!
Jackets come back from three goals down to tie with under 30 seconds to play and win game 4 of the first round in OT to tie series 2-2. Best crowd I've ever saw at a hockey game. Was so loud that players did not hear the horn at end of regulation. I've sat in many different seats in the arena and there are no bad seats.
Wow, what a game. The players, the crowd, the seats, all fantastic. I was so happy to be a part of the first ever home playoff win! #WeAreThe5thLine #BattleOn #DefendNWA #CBJ
There's nothing quite like playoff hockey!!! Nationwide Arena was rocking! We had tickets in the very last row, but we could see everything, and it was well worth it! Too bad the Blue Jackets gave up three third period goals and lost 4-3.
My husband and son went to the game Monday night with several of my son's hockey teammates. It was my husband and son's first time attending a play-off game. It's a night they will never forget, despite the loss. The environment was electric from the pre-game tail-gate party events (face painting, games to win foam stick hats, etc.). Inside the arena...the crowd totally engaged and excited for our Columbus Blue Jackets. When they got home that night, I heard story after story from both of them. You made this night a memorable moment for my two favorite boys - thank you so much!!
As Blackhawks fans, my wife and I really enjoyed Nationwide Arena!! We sat in Section 115, Row 2, Seats 17 & 18 (aisle). Obviously 2nd row is great! Just inside the blue line on our 2x attacking end of the ice. 4-3 win, with the game winning goal with 3.5 seconds left...wow!! As I said, very good seats...but the TimeWarner HD Lounge completes the experience!! They have a buffet that is unlike any hockey rink food you will ever see!! Great for those of us who want more than just the typical fatty garbage they normally sell. Great staff and really the best experience when visiting!! Overall, the $225 + fees per ticket were well worth what you get!! Do it!!
This was the second time I have traveled to Columbus (Nationwide Arena) to see the Blackhawks. As long as BlueJackets tickets are reasonably priced, I will continue to go there to see the 'Hawks. Nationwide Arena is a beautiful facility and the surrounding are has a lot to offer for pre/post game activities. The fans in Columbus are very nice and respect out of town fans. I did not see one incident of drunkenness at the game (contrast this with a 2010 trip to Ford Field in Detroit to see the Bears...numerous drunken fans and a fight that was so big, even the players on the field stopped to watch it). Although I am a Blackhawks fan, I wish the Columbus BlueJackets much success. They deserve continued support.
It's always an amazing experience to go to the games in Columbus and see so many Penguins fans there. It was also nice to see the Columbus fans come out for the game, was almost 50/50...so the atmosphere was great!
Unforgettable game, Worth the trip and I'd go again in a heartbeat. If you're travelling to Columbus I don't recommend the Tim Hortons Jackets pack. The vouchers can't be used within the stadium (or outside central ohio). So once you get them in the stadium you would have to leave to get your coffee and doughnuts. And you can't get them after the game because the cafe is closed. So we had to fly back home with no timbits or hot chocolates, which is a pity when that's one of the things you paid for.
Nationwide is usually fantastic for Blue Jackets games, but in this case they shouldn t be selling standing room only for section 117. You can t see the ice. I d be fine with the tickets if they were cheaper, but $100 for SRO is too steep.
Always a great experience at Nationwide Arena. The location is perfect and the atmosphere of the place is next level. If you've never been to a game you should definitely check one out. You won't regret it.
