Jim Brickman

This was a wonderful night to celebrate Valentine s Day! The Lyric is such a beautiful venue and Jim Brickman was just amazing. We very much enjoyed the concert and look forward to seeing him again.

Jim entertains so much more than just his music. He makes you laugh and reflect. His music is so wonderful and soothing. This was truly a romantic experience with my wife. I could listen to him for days. Oh wait....I do :)

The venue was actually average, but I gave it a recommended rating. Liquid refreshments were available for purchase. Seating was padded bench row seating except for the front three rows. Jim Brickman was fantastic. He played a variety of his "hits." He always engages with the crowd and makes it an enjoyable experience. The concert lasted from 8 - 10:15, with about a 20 minute or so intermission. He had two musical guests with him, his friend Ann Cochran and a gentleman by the name of James. They were both excellent.

One of the best concerts I have ever been to. Three hours of performing great songs, great musical guests, great stories, and Jim Brickman!!! Great, great, great!!! Thoroughly enjoyed myself!!

The special that was being filmed for PBS began at 8:30PM and did not conclude until 11:45PM. WOW! An amazing variety of vocal and instrumental music from around the world- from countryside songs to flying piano duets to incredible string instramentals. Both new songs and old standards were performed, concluding with "What The World Needs Now..." Jim seems always willing to share his piano skills to showcase top notch singing performances, it was a joy to experience this truly remarkable concert.

The Avalon Ballroom was a beautiful setting for the taping of Jim's "Beautiful World" special. Although I would have preferred just a straight concert (herego, an overall rating of 4 vs. 5), it was interesting to get a behind the scenes look at what goes into making a tv special. Jim alone is a fabulous concert, but he added a smorgesborg of talent to join him that night that was just pure bonus!

It was awesome! - the best Jim Brickman concert I have ever seen! The guest vocalists/musicians were wonderful and added a lot to the show. It was very interesting seeing a live taping of Jim's TV Special. I can't wait to order the CD and see the event on PBS this fall.

Brickman was not my kind of music but my wife LOVE it and I got 5 stars form her for taking her.

Jim Brickman was wonderful as usual. He always gives such a great performance. I loved the Lyric. It felt like he was performing in my living room.

The Jim Brickman concert was a good one. Mr. Brickman and his 2 vocalists put on an excellent show of talent and comedy. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good music.

Excellent...great venue( a lil small seating for a 6 ft person) but love downtown Knoxville, the Bijou did a great job of getting you in and out. The show was awesome!

This is the 20th time I have been to one of his concerts, Jim, Anne and Tracey always put on an entertaining concert. Jim s voice is getting better with every concert he is more relaxed now than when he first started singing publicly. If you love the piano I highly recommend his concerts.

This was my eighth Jim Brickman concert, the first at the Bijou in Knoxville. Both were amazing. I always enjoy Jim, and this venue was beautiful! The perfect way to enjoy the Christmas season. Of course, Anne Cochran and Tracy Silverman were also superb! A totally wonderful evening!!

Jim Brickman is a pianist, not a singer. Period. So stop singing! There were truly some cringe-worthy moments when he was totally off key or his voice broke. Even his long-time singing partner, Anne Cochran, is not great. I would have been happy just listening to him play piano, which is fantastic; but I couldn't wait for it to end. Not worth the money.

Jim Brickmans Christmas program was outstanding. Ms. Cochran and Mr. Silverman were also excellent in the program. It was a fun night. I loved it.

OMG! I wanted to say that during this crazy holiday season, fabulous JIM BRICKMAN would be an excellent escape. BUT, the whole world is in turmoil so JIM BRICKMAN any day, anytime, any how, and anywhere is medicine for your health and well-being! He was so engaging, funny, and simply charming to his faithful audience. I will NEVER, EVER miss another concert by this world famous romantic pianist. THANK YOU, Jim for giving me the best Christmas present.

The evening was very enjoyable as JB, AC, and TS provided great music with piano, electric violin, and voice. The atmosphere was one of all were part of the evening with the audience being invited into the world of three artists performing with the love of their music. Thank you.

Jim Brickman is talented and personable. His jokes are even funny! Not only were we entertained with his beautiful music, we were also treated to a violin (I think) artist whose range was from traditional music to Led Zeppelin. Wow! Two fantastic vocalists completed the ensemble. I never expected such a wide range of entertaining music and funky personalities. Thank you for a special evening! Come back to Appleton soon!

A Joyful Christmas .. Jim Brickman, Ann Cochran, Tracy Silverman, John Trones .. was just amazing! It was an evening that was so full of talent ..it honestly reminded me when growing up .. you waited for the Christmas Television Specials to come on...everyone gathers around the television to enjoy an evening of pure .. Talent. The Concert began with a song of .. Celebration . . which opened the concert, perfectly. Followed by Medley of all Hits and Favorites, songs that everyone comes to hear. They took it up a notch with Tracy Silverman, Electric violin .. he was.. how does one say this .. SMOKIN .. you will not be able to keep your feet still during this part. There is also an Audience participation, sing a long.. its a hoot!.. Every One sang along! There are duets which the songs and voices are perfectly matched, that just takes your breath away. ( that is only the first half..) Now, let me tell you about the second half.. guess I shouldn't give all the fun away .. This is an evening filled with Superb Music ,touch of laughter, dash of fun.. It is an evening, a Christmas Concert you just won't want to miss .. an Honestly, if you are going to only one Christmas Concert this Holiday Season .. This is the One!.. If you want to make some really good points with your Family, Friends, Neighbors ... Bring them Along! Truth Be Told, if you go once .. you will want to go again .. it will turn into a .. Wonderful Holiday Tradition.

Jim Brickman and company never fail to be awesome. My daughter and I Brought along my 11 yr old budding pianist granddaughter for her birthday and she loved it as well....it was a great family evening !!!!

Jim Brickman is amazing and attending one of his holiday shows never fails to put one in the Christmas spirit. Add in Anne Cochran, Tracy Silverman and John Trones and you have an evening to remember!

Having seen Jim Brickman in holiday performance two years ago, my husband and I were very disappointed in this years show. There was way too much talking and not near enough Christmas music played. Tracy Silvermans performance, although outstanding, was identical, song for song to the one he did two years ago. Change it up guys. Keep the chatter till after the show, and stick to Christmas music, not "timeless", and the like. The Fox Valley PAC is an amazing performance venue and the volunteer staff is always great. Never regret seeing a show here. Just regret the performance, this time.

We love Jim's music and humor! The addition of singers and electric violin was such a great plus!

If you are looking to see a show with lots of Christmas music this is not the show. Mostly piano and Jim does not sing much at all. The man and woman on stage with him sing a few Christmas songs. The violin player however was great. Humor in the show was okay. Disappointed.

Jim Brickman's concert in Appleton was amazing! Jim has a way of calming and entertaining at the same time. I went with a very dear friend and we both left feeling so peaceful! We both said it was exactly what we needed. God has definitely blessed Jim and his group with amazing talent....so thankful they have touched my life.Worth every penny! I will go again next year!

Jim Brickman is a talented pianist. However, it was disappointing that several of the songs he is known for have vocalists and he had none in his performance, but sang them himself.

It was just Jim and his piano. It was magical. He played whatever he wished and took requests. This was one of the best concerts (and I go to a lot of concerts) ever!

We've been listening to Jim Brickman ever since my wife and I met. And we would always go when he was in town. We thought he would have special guest but it was all Jim and it was wonderful!!!! My wife told me I should have brought a box of tissues because his singing and piano playing brought back so many fond memories when we were dating.

My wife and I have been to more of Jim's concerts than we can remember and have always enjoyed them. We obviously love his music, but also enjoy his interactions with the audience and his sense of humor. We highly recommend seeing him live - with or without his usual entourage of performers like Anne Cochran, Tracy Silverman, and others. While it is a special treat to have them perform with Jim, Jim is also superb on his own. You really can't go wrong either way.

We've enjoyed many of Jim's concerts over the years, but wasn't as thrilled with this scaled down version. Anne & Tracey have always been a big part of his shows and were absent. Show was shortened as well, with an intermission, we likely didn't get 90 minutes of music. The music was good, but rushed and I don't consider the Disney stuff his "hits", which is what we supposed to be hearing.

The venue was great coupled with Jim's warmth and talent made for a fantastic night

Small venue and we were in the balcony above him we actually were amazed to actually see him playing the piano. We have bee to 12-15 concerts & loved them all but watching from above was a whole new experience . Love Jim 100%

Jim has a way of making you feel like you are a good friend invited over for an enjoyable evening of music and laughs. His easy wit and openness is relaxing and brings a casual and familiar feel to the evening. His talent and body of work is brilliant and a pleasure to listen to.

Jim Brickman is a talented pianist that also has a wonderful personality. He really makes the evening unforgettable with his piano playing, but keeps the evening light and fun with his personal stories that correlate with the songs he's playing. He explains what thought process went into writing some of the selections...as well as growing up in the mid-west and how that influenced him as a song writer.

Once again, Jim Brickman was fantastic! Smaller, more intimate venue. He connected with the entire audience. He was entertaining and funny too! Sounded great as well.

This program went way and above my expectations. I was aware of his talent but his skill and personality was 100% enjoyable for me and the audience. He indeed does have "The Gift." His guests, Ann and Tracy and Kris, only added to what was a well planned and executed show.

This was my second concert with Jim Brickman and as always I loved it. The venue was intimate and not a bad seat in the house. The camaraderie he has with Tracy and Anne makes the performance audience friendly. His humor and down-to-earth personality makes him a the best romantic and soothing piano player and songwriter. Looking forward to seeing him again next year. This will be a Christmas tradition.

After being a fan of Jim's for 30 years...I finally got to see him in person. Absolutely wonderful concert! A memory that won't fade!

Jim played an excellent show. He was humorous, lighthearted and really fun. His two guest artists were also top drawer. If you're looking for an entertaining holiday show, whether for your family or for a couples night out, this is a very good choice.

All in all this show was the best time of my life. Got to meet Jim Brickman, got an autograph, and got to see Jim Brickman up onstage playing my favorite music. If you have never seen Jim Brickman Live I will tell you not to miss his show. It is worth every penny.

Jim, Tracy and Anne were amazing!!! This is a must see for the Holiday Season! It will put you in the Christmas spirit. They mixed a perfect balance of the old Christmas familiars with the newer Jim Brickman songs and it was beautifully orchestrated. Don't miss this one this Christmas Season! Donna

I was very impressed with both Jim Brickman and Anne Cochran. The chemistry between them was great!

A small but enthusiatic crowd saw a very good performance from the trio of Jim Brickman, Tracy Silverman and Anne Cochrane. First time we had seen Tracy and we were very impressed. Jim was solid as always and Anne has a great voice that is very soorthing, but Tracy was the highlight of this show for us. We had seen Jim three times before, so we knew what to expect from him and Anne. Tracy was the added bonus this time.

Such a wonderful concert Jim Brickman puts on. Anne Cochran.sings her heart out! Just love it!

Jim with Anne, Tracy, and Luke were outstanding together and individually. The music was awesome, the theater was absolutely majestic, and the evening was as romantic as any I have ever experienced.

In my opinion David Pack from Ambrosia made our evening. His songs took us back to a simpler time in our life. The band backing up all of the acts left us speechless. They were the best I think I have ever seen. We are so pleased we were able to see this show and look forward to the next show.

My wife and I have been to several Jim Brickman concerts over the years but this was by far the best as this was our first time meeting him in person. Many years ago, Jim and I became penpals when he first got established with Windham Hill so when he was going to come to the area, I had the opportunity to see him when he held his first concert in Huntsville as he sent me tickets and backstage passes. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend at that time due to the passing of my grandfather. I'm thankful that I finally got to meet him as he is such a terrific person in addition to being a fabulous piano player!

Jim's concerts are ALWAYS great and entertaining. I love how he collaborates with different artists plus the way he interacts with the crowd and how he tells jokes.

There is nothing like seeing Jim Brickman live. Once you see him in concert, you will go again and again. He is very personable, funny, and talented. I love every time I see him in concert!

My husband and I absolutely love Jim Brickman and company! We find them to be personable, funny, not loud (as my husband says) and amazingly talented. This was our second Jim Brickman concert and I was thrilled that my husband wanted to go a second time with me. He didn't even hesitate when I wanted to become a VIP so we could meet Jim. We did and I was thrilled. I can close my eyes when Jim is playing the piano and just forget everything going on around me and feel relaxed and romantic with my hubby! I would love to win a cruise because we love cruises but mostly because I would like to feel like part of the Jim Brickman family. Next year is our 25th anniv. and a cruise to Hawaii sounds so romantic. What better way to celebrate than with the romantic sounds of Jim Brickman's music and piano playing! I wouldn't hesitate going to another concert!

This was the 4th time I have seen Jim Brickman in Huntsville. At first, I loved his concerts.....until this one. I actually did not enjoy myself very much this year. For instance, he now has FOUR other performers with him. Two singers, the Electric Violinist, and a dulcimer player. I only got to hear a snippet of all the Jim Brickman classic songs I love. The male lead singer sang beautifully in a foreign language (what WAS that song, anyway? NOT Jim Brickman), but did not capture the magic of Jim's songs. Seems like there was less Jim Brickman and more other people performing. I despised the Kermit the Frog bit. I mean, really, it's been done. I think he should go back to the good old days. Not that the dulcimer player was not good, but it just didn't seem like it all fit together. I don't think it was a good decision to include all these folks and rush through all of Jim's hits like that.

I have never been so moved by a concert performance! Last night was truly magical....I shall remeember it forever! This was a Christmas gift for my Mother, Nephew and his best friend!

Having the opportunity to see this concert so close to CHRISTMAS was very special. I had seen Jim once before...at the Wittaker Center in HBG. He performed there in a more basic arena. This was a PRODUCTION. The added instrumentalists as well as male vocalist was such a treat. I actually felt goose bumps. I would stay more towards new hits and magical holiday selections rather than OLDIES...as many of those have been completely outgrown by Jim's more recent material. My husband reached over to hold my hand during one of the romantic medlies....a not too often occurance. Thanks for bringing that out. Come to Hbg again and again..please. Your fans billy bob and wife.

The show was amazing! Mr. Brickman is a very talented man who is surrounded by equally talented performers. He is the most humble man and is so kind to his fans! I can hardly wait to see him again. I loved him before the concert, but words can't express how much I love him now. Did I say he was amazing?????

Jim is just extraordinary when it come to playing and entertaining. I have been going to see him since 1998 and have followed him all over the southeast. From Nashville, Chattanooga, to Macon, Ga. With Birmingham, Huntsville, Oak Mountain in between. This was the first time Ann Cochran was not with him. We missed her. Victoria is great but it seemed she was singing Ann's songs.

This was my fourth time to see Jim Brickman in concert... He is one of the most talented musicians performing today. He always finds new performers to add to his show that bring a different flavor to the show each year... I would highly recommend seeing Jim Brickman if he is going to be in your area.. Can't wait until next year...

Jim, Anne and Mark Masri were incredible Friday night. Jim and Anne's banter continues to be adorable between her amazing singing and his beautiful playing. Guest Mark Masri sung a couple of lovely and powerful songs between Jim's phenomenal new songs from "Beautiful World," (the new CD), and Anne's lovely ballads. Jim has created great new stirring melodies to enchant the audience and all the artists took an incredible amount of time after the show to meet with the many audience members who remained to meet with them.

Jim Brickman and his special guest performed a heart warming and unforgettable concert at the Beautiful Niagara Fallsview Casino. Watching Jim and his team put together the "Beautiful World" Concert for PBS was truly Amazing! Jim continues to Wow the crowd year after year! He continues to bring new talent to the stage while still playing his fans favorites. This concert was by far the best I have ever seen! If you enjoy piano music, Jim Brickman is the one to listen to! He will light up your heart and make you smile inside and out!

I was astonished at the performance Jim put on Saturday at the Lyric Theatre in Birmingham. It was one of the best experiences of my life and I cannot wait to see him again. The NEW PIANO MAN!

I am not one who writes reviews unless I feel it is truly worthy...this is the One. Ol Man Winter was giving us one last show of blustery winds..bitter cold temps..As Jim Brickman said himself..."The Show Must Go On". For those who had chosen not to weather the cold temperatures.. You missed out on a Beautiful Musical Experience. How does one put this into words..It is an experience filled with breath taking music ..with an added touch of Humor to lighten the heart. Evening was filled with Hit songs.. New songs..and songs from the past..that Jim brought back to life for us to enjoy once again.Jim Brickman concert is filled with music that takes the chill out of you and makes you feel fuzzy and warm inside. Each song gently takes hold of you and takes you on a Musical Ride...where you..need to go.. at times you will find yourself totally losing yourself in his music..other times..trying to catch your breath. It is one of those..experiences..that truly becomes a part ..of you... without you realizing it. To put into fewer words..It was an evening of Beautiful Music- That truly makes your heart sing... The only Disappointing part of this concert ..is....It had to End. When you find yourself..saying to yourself.. confess up ..admit it...you've done it ... It ended! ..Oh no!... I wonder where he's playing next?.. This is one of ..those ..concerts..deep down inside ..you ..just wish ...it would never end...

My wife and I have seen Brickman from Kansas City to Minneapolis and a number of times in Des Moines. This by far is his BEST performance. It had everything.,

This is the fifth time we have seen Jim in concert. Always a pleasure to listen to his uplifting music.

Mr. Brickman is a good piano player. However, a great piano player knows how to play a variety of music. His music sounds the same. It was monotonous and I could've left at the intermission. He needs to mix it up a bit...dynamics, style, etc. His soloists sounded like "cruise singers" not large venue singers. For the cost of the ticket I expected more.

Disappointing quality of show. I have attended about a half dozed shows when you had Donny Osmond and the great electric violinist. I understand you are giving local talent a shot at performing, but at this level and what we pay to watch, I expect a Vegas quality show. John has improved since the first time I saw him and he is good. His singing partner could not reach the high notes. I hope you take my review positively and make improvements to your show. We were not very pleased.

Usually Jim's concerts are phenomenal. This year he didn't have any excellent vocalists with. Anne Cochran and electric violinist Tracy Silverman were sorely missed as he only had local below-par vocalists John Tronnes and Maria Silvi (?) with him. Jim's piano playing was stellar, as usual, but this show was lacking every time he had someone on stage with him. I would've rather it just be Jim as a solo act.

Jim played a nice mixture of old and new music in addition to some Christmas tunes. Another masterful performance!

Great energy; I left feeling uplifted and cheerful. I went with my mom but this show would be great to see with any loved one or friend.

Excellent concert. If you are a Jim brickman fan, the concert lived up to expectations.

I have always liked his soft piano music. Seeing and hearing him at this concert was very, very "intimate," in a sense that Ames Center is a very small concert hall, and Jim could literally talk with us. No extravagant effects or sound. Simply, his Piano only. Good songs and good supporting singers. All came into a good show. We really love it. If I could suggest him for future shows, I would say that he would like to spend more time talking about his personal history. He touched on his upbringing and so on a little, but fans would like to be connected to him more through his history, his family affairs, his interests, and so on. He has enough to brag about his accomplishments, but how about him being a normal musician? Particularly in a small concert hall like this, I believe that fans would truly appreciate it if they could feel that they were included in an "inner" conversation with a good friend of us - finding more untold things about an old friend. Jim is a great storyteller and he could be great if the audience was much more drawn into his personal trait. We do not need any secrets from him. We just need to feel more that we are connected at a different level and his music can elevate our experience to a new high. That is what he can do in the future.

Our son committed suicide in August after suffering from severe PTDS. Our world has changed forever, but coming to Mr Brickman's concert, gave us an evening of peace & Christmas celebration. We thank him from the bottom of our hearts for such a wonderful performance. God bless...

No one does a Christmas Concert like Jim Brickman, Anne Cochran, and Tracy Silverman with Kris Allen. A perfect blend of music and banter between the performers. With Jim's unique piano style, Tracy's flawless accompaniment on the Electric Violin, and Anne and Kris vocals made for an amazing evening of music, relaxation, and joy!

Beautiful music! We will take friends with us next year for a great night out! Christmas joy!

I have been to several Jim Brickman shows, however, this one was 't my favorite. Jim Brickman seemed a little bit off. I will return for his Christmas show because I love his music. I hope that show is better

Jim's concert at Cain park was fantastic, as always. It's always funny, light, yet moving and his music moves and soothes the soul.

As always Jim put on a fantastic show. My wife and daughter never miss a show whenever he is close.

My expectation was for a Jim Brickman show featuring his fantastic New Age piano playing, with a female vocalist augmenting on certain songs. Kuh Ledesma should have been the top billing for this "Heart and Soul" show. Even when Mr. Brickman was playing, there was none of his fantastic light touch on the keys: He was pounding away for the most part. Very disappointing for a long-time hardcore Brickman fan.

Note the name of the event...Jim Brickman and Kuh Ledesma. Would've thought Jim was half or more of the show, right? Nope. Turns out it was a fundraiser, which I didn't mind. But it was also a variety show with 5 acts, which I did mind because the other 3 acts took stage time away from Jim. He was on for maybe 30 min. I felt like I was misled. I was looking forward to sharing Jim's music with a new person and they were even more upset. Next time I will only pay to see events billed with only Jim. Other people can be with him but I'll be sure to get more than 30 min for the admission price. Which, by the way, was the highest price I've seen for his concerts.

A FINE EXAMPLE OF A GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY! HIS SHOW WAS FANTASTIC. ELECTRIC VIOLINIST, TRACY SILVERMAN AND HIS VOCALIST, ANN COCKRAN ADDED TREMENDOUS DIVERSITY TO THE PROGRAM. WE WOULD DO THIS AGAIN. TOO BAD PEOPLE THINK IT IS OK TO TEXT ON THEIR PHONE THRU THE WHOLE SHOW. IT MAY NOT BOTHER THEM, BUT IT SURELY BOTHERS OTHERS. IT'S VERY RUDE.

Wonderful Valentine's Day event. We took our best friends and the four of us thoroughly enjoyed the treat. Jim plays with passion. Ann sang several songs and was great. They had an electric violinist join in and he was off the charts. Loved the whole evening.

Me & my husband went there for Valentines day, I purchased tickets on a special from ticketmaster. The first thing I noticed was the harrison opera house was huge, which was a big relief to me being Claustrophobic I dont usually deal well with big crowds and have usually gotten sick at the Hampton Coliseum, while yet there were a lot of people there there was plenty of room to walk around in, I didn't feel closed in when sitting down, the worker me & my husband were killing time talking to while waiting for Jim to let everyone in (apparently the artist has to tell when to let people in) she was friendly & nice to us. We found our seats with ease. The show itself was AWESOME, I am still reeling from it! It was great. Jim brickman was funny, and I even won what he was calling "The bag of love" :) My night was made, I have wanted to see him for so long, but never thought i could afford tickets cuz I heard they were expensive

Much too much chatter and not enough performing. I had no interest is hearing him play old commercials or talk about being a newspaper delivery boy in high school. He mentioned an encore, but walked off the stage. What a shame.

The show was great. Jim and friends were super entertaining and light-hearted. I enjoyed the variation of Jim at the piano, Jim signing and playing, Tracy playing an electric violin, and all others. It was fun to go with friends during the week between Christmas and New Years. Just when you are realizing that Christmas is behind you and the deep of winter is just ahead, it was a fun distraction from the "reality" of life. :)

My wife and I attended both the 2015 show and the prior one in Huntsville, AL. We both felt the prior show was much better: songs were better; dialog between songs was excellent; violinist was outstanding. This year: dialog between songs seemed contrived; guest musician was more interested in showing his skill than entertaining, was often wasn't, and did not fit the theme of the program; general audio quality was poor for all performers, and the male guest singer often could not be heard; songs were disappointing.

I would strongly recommend Jim's concert. It would have been way better if he only played piano, rather than engage other singers, violin/metal guitar players in performance. His strength and virtuosity is in playing piano. He is the master and is sufficient in doing that without other people. But overal, loved the concert.

Loved Jim's music when I booked the concert but I didn't realize what a great sense of humor he had. Thoroughly enjoyable! Tracy Silverman was unbelievable! Loved the entire night.
