What a phenomonal show. I brought a friend who hadn't heard of him before, and she left completely enthralled with his style, talent and showmanship. The people to my left are long-time fans but hadn't seen him perform live, they were mesmerized. The woman to my left has seen him five times, she was going out of her mind. I smiled through the whole performance AND danced in my chair. I can't sit still when I listen to him. Great crowd, great venue. I can't wait to see him again. Come back to New England soon Joe!

This is the second time we have seen Joe in a small venue such as the Bergen PAC. He always puts out 110%! His fluid guitar playing is something to behold! I recommend to anyone, if you want to see a one-of-kind truly gifted performer, go see Joe Bonamassa! The only thing lacking was nothing to do with Joe but I was up in the Balcony section center, and the sound was a bit "muddy". The sound guys might want to pay attention to the "upstairs folk" and try to get a little more clarity aimed our way.

An absolutely outstanding show!! Joe is definitely in the top tier of guitarists today. Innovative and outright gifted, he makes you feel the strings through your body. Great band behind him as well. Sound could have been better in the early part of the show, but got better. Would see him in a smaller venue for the intimacy.

Joe Bonamassa and band were great at the NJ PAC last night. It was my first time seeing Joe and his band play live. I've listened to a few live bootleg recordings and have most of his commercial releases. I totally enjoyed the show. I even bought his new cd the Ballad of John Henry and can't wait to listen as he did a few songs from the new cd. Of note was Lonesome Road Blues, which I liked a lot. He also did Sloe Gin, Bridge to Better Days and So Many Roads (all 3 songs I love) and he opened with Had To Cry Today, which is one of my two top favorite Blind Faith songs (Can't Find My Way Home is the other). My favorite song Joe and his rocking band played was the instrumental India as an intro to Mountain Time, which is I think a very beautiful song about a good love. It's about as hard to find a blues song about good love as it is in real life, doncha think? I was very happy to hear those live. I really dig Joe's guitar playing and vocals. He came out with an acoustic guitar toward the end of the show and demonstrated that he really can play. He played what was a very Spanish Guitar type intro to a song that showed his finger have total command over the fret board. Then the song went into a more rock oriented tune but for at least five minutes he was fingering and strumming that guitar oh so sweetly and quickly. My only complaint was that everyone in the audience sat on their behinds. Which is nothing like going to a Warren Haynes & Gov't Mule show in that regard where everybody gets up and moves their behinds to the music. :-) Oh, I forgot to mention, Joe threw me his pick. He threw the one he used out to the center of the room then got a new one and flung it to his right, right to me while looking directly at me. Of course some big guy intercepted. Oh well, it is the sweet thought that counts. :-)

Joe's guitar playing was flawless, as always, but the band seemed ever so slightly off. Very tight, and professional playing by all, but lacking that intangible energy that tips the show into magical territory. I've seem them go there before, but this time Joe couldn't quite carry the band from great to amazing. The sound in the venue was somewhat muddy, most detrimental to the vocals, but also just annoying in general. Still, a must see, and always well worth it.

Wednesday nights show at the BergenPAC was simply FABULOUS. Bonamassa is truly a blues rock GENIOUS. The show was exciting from start to finish - never a lull. I missed not hearing more of his older material - but I think that is just sentimentality speaking as the new material is A-MA-ZING!!! It's hard to believe how YOUNG he is. What a career he has ahead of him.

Joe is a true rock/blues virtuoso. His acoustic work is also exemplary. He draws from Clapton, Knopfler and Pete Townsend on acoustic. His songwriting was not memorable, but maybe that will come in time. I wouldnt buy his CD, he is a guy you want to see live.

Joe is a very talented up and coming guitar player! Comparisons to SRV abound, but he incorporates many different styles to make it his own. He did some crazy-fast flamenco style riffs that were just amazing. Good energy, strong band to back him, look for him to go far!

The second Bonamassa hits the stage, the whole theater rocks! The vibration goes right through your body from the first song to the last. Bonamassa rocks right through with no breaks. Whether electric or acoustic, he has full command over the guitar and is one of the few gifted performers who plays so well he literally makes the guitar talk. The energy of the show is beyond words and he is worth seeing over and over again! This man i spure genius, way beyond his years!!! AMAZING!!!!!

Joe always puts on a great show, why we wait until the last minute to buy tickets every time is a mistake because we always end up going. The only complaint I have is that they started the show a minute or two BEFORE start time, that's a little ridiculous considering the parking situation at this location is always a bit of a mess.

Bonamassa brought the Blue s Shredding to a historical venue. Home of the old Louisiana Hayride Broadcast. You could feel the ghost of Elvis. Background singers were lovely. The sound was muffled but not sure if it was the venue or the equipment. The venue s seating was not comfortable. No leg room for seating. Hard to hear vocals

I enjoyed the first two thirds of the show. Absolutely love this band with Reese Wynans, the horn section, and the back up singers. That being said, I am more of a fan when Joe plays bluesy tunes. For the last third of the show I think he felt the audience was wanting more shredding/ hard rock material and he gave it to them. It s just not my preference.

First of all, we met Joe prior to the show in the casino. We spoke to him briefly (he was very cordial) and was happy to pose for a couple of pictures. My wife wished him good luck for the show with him saying thanks, it's the last show of the tour. My wife & I have been going to Joe Bonamassa's shows every year since 2006. We're in a rural area so we always have to travel to see him. He & the band have always performed at a high level. This was the 110th and last show of the year, and to be honest they seemed ready for the end. The first couple of songs were okay, you could hear Joe's voice beginning loosen up (He does not get enough credit for his vocals!!!), the sound man adjusted for the venue, and the crowd was extremely supportive after each song. This seemed to invigorate the band and their performance stepped up with each tune with the fans cheering them on. This was the first time we've seen him with backup singers, last year's addition of two horn players was included again. This was the complete package! Something different for this show was other members doing lead vocals added variety and each musician having solos. All the band were really enjoying themselves playing their music with the crowd showing their appreciation. I read prior to the show that they were not doing his older favorites and this disappointed some. I was a bit disappointed myself when I read this. During the show this never came to mind as we were totally entertained and enthralled with the performance. His shows have always been appox. 2 hours but this show started precisely at 8pm & ended at 10:30. Thank you Joe and all the members and crew! GREAT, GREAT SHOW!!! My wife and I left happy with huge smiles as did everyone else leaving the show.

I could tell early on that Joe was a bit subdued, despite his chops being at their usual jaw-dropping level. He admitted after about a half dozen songs he was not feeling well. Understandable when you're on the road constantly and playing your 108th show. But whatever he had did not affect his skills much. A master and clearly a guy who cared enough about his fans not to cancel the show. And what a band! An extra treat to hear the great Anton Figg.

The performance started at the moment the clock struck 8pm, the scheduled showtime. Joe was surrounded by talent from the keyboard, to the bass and drums, even a horn and sax with backup vocals. Joe put on an amazing show for over 2 hours, non-stop. He jokingly shared that he had awakened that morning with a sore throat, feeling like he had been drinking acid and tequila. When off-stage, we could see him bent over trying to get his breath and blowing his nose. He obviously felt terrible. Despite that, he played and sang his heart out. He did a great encore as well. He started at exactly 8 pm and was a true professional. His guitar playing is incredible. He made his guitar sound like a variety of different instruments. I highly recommend seeing this show! He goes all out to connect with the audience.

First, our seats were incredible! Cannot get any better than the front row. Additionally, the ageless people who sat around us were true music "officiandos" - appreciative of classical, blues and rock music - who were all fun, happy, not disruptive, etc.! Then as the band came onstage, it was like a "who's who" of world-class musicians: Reese Wynans, Anton Fig, the incomparable Michael Rhodes, Lee Thornburg & Paulie Cerra. The back-up singers, both from "land down under", added something incredible to the ensemble. I was also appreciative of the security procedures (and presence) that the venue employed. Thank you! What else could I possibly say! It was THE best show EVER!

Seriously, Joe needs a new soundman. We have seen Joe at his first Red Rocks, CO show (MuddyWolf) which was fabulous (perfect sound), and his show a couple of years ago at the Paramount, also very good. In Saturday night's show the first five or six songs were so muddled, loud, and bass & drum heavy, I had to look up the set list after the show to see what the songs were. Couldn't hear the horns AT ALL. By "Breakin' Up Somebody's Home," the bass and drums were attenuated a bit, but the overall mix was just BAD. The Moore Theater is small and intimate. I think the PA was the same one they used at Red Rocks. It was so big it obscured the background singers from view, and I was sitting on an aisle! I have all of Joe's records and love his acoustic shows, and the MuddyWolf show, the best. It would have been nice to hear some dynamics instead of the contact teeth-rattling, balls-out head banging. Three seats, main floor, right side, Row N - $518.50!!! JB is still one of the best guitarists alive, but I will never see another Bonamassa show. I hope someone's listening.

I already knew Joe Bonamassa was an incredible player. I live to see interesting guitarists.I'm a player myself..By the 3-4th song in I started to realize I wasn't going to be blown away by the show. The mix was LOUD...I like LOUD .I WAS in the 8th row, but when you can't discern horns from keys from sexy dancing backup singers there needs to be some space in the mix. JBs original stuff cuts a pretty narrow path across the musical landscape... like ringing the same bell... every song. Awesome stuff for one or two songs a show but after 45 minutes it's like waiting for an amazing drum solo to end. Go to YouTube and see JB with John Hiatt... watch the magic he can work with a well crafted song. Much like other amazing child guitar prodigies gone mainstream...he needs some one to take over the content to which he applies his talents.

If Pop Music is a few musical notes for many people, and Jazz is many musical notes for a few people. Joe Bonamassa has single handily found a way to play many many notes to many many people. The 2 hour concert went by in the twinkling of an eye. We had a wonderful time! Bonamassa is a maestro and has band and backing singers are as tight as you will ever hear. Slow Train was the song of the night for me. Awesome!!

Thanks for a evening of Awesomeness! Also pretty sure we caught the bass guitarist "Throwin' the Bones" at the end of the show...Go Big Red!!

Joe's performance was nothing less than Outstanding. I've been listening to a lot of his music, but seeing him live was just amazing.... His concert ranks I'd say as best concert ever. Including Eagles, Bob Segar, AC/DC, Rod Stewart, Head East, REO Speedwagon, BTO, and so many others over the last 46 years..... Yep I'm old school...

Even though our outdoor venue got tattered by Mother Nature the night before, our back up Arena , "The Bank", sufficed just well enough for JOE and the BAND to perform to their utmost BEST performance I' ve seen since seeing him for the 5th time, never gets old , always gets BETTER, THANKS !!!

I was not a hard core Joe Bonamassa fan going into show . Knew him a bit, but I came out a huge fan. Seeing him live and listening to the great guitar work, solo drummmer and band all together left me speechless. A truly enjoyable event and the venue has always been my favorite!!

Joe Bonamassa and his band were Awesome! I'm a guitar player and I was blown away with his playing. I will be seeing him again in the near future. The reason I gave a 4star is because of the seating. The seats in the Lyric Theater are too close together. If someone large sits beside you, your smashed against them the whole concert. I had a large guy sit beside me and it was very uncomfortable the whole time. I wont go back too that Theater because of the close seating.

Joe B. Is my all time favorite musician! My second time in Durham. I went on his Blues cruise in February, several other concert venues. Love the town of Durham, very convenient for those of us that come from VA. Joe and his world class band are mesmerizing from the first note, so much talent on one stage!

Already one of my absolute favorites to listen to, seeing Joe live certainly did not disappoint! He has an amazingly energetic and bluesy sound. The crowd was on there feet virtually the entire show. the band was super tight and did not miss a beat. THe only thing I could possibly complain about is that 2 hour just was not enough time... But then again, if they layed for 4 hours, I'd probably say the same thing!

My husband and I traveled from Sarasota, FL for the show. Newburyport natives, we had been going to concerts at the Club Casino since the early 80s. We had great seats and excellent drink service. The staff was very professional and friendly as well. We have some terrific memories of some incredible artists and will definitely be back for another show!

I can't recall how many times that I've seen Joe in concert. I had seen Joe the night before at the Hanover theater in Worcester a great show also and really like the venue. Hampton Beach Casino is still one of my favorite places. I'm not sure if it's because the place is smaller and the sound is just perfect. The only problem with this place is the air and temperature! I felt bad for Joe on stage as usual he dresses the class act in a suit. The man never took is jacket off and he was totally soaked in sweat. This of course was only due to the heat in this place. His performance was absolutely wonderful and I love the new Blues of Desperation CD.

I have been a big fan for years but this was the first opportunity I have had to see him live and it was amazing! Joe puts on a high energy show with an extremely talented band including Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Reese Wynans on keyboards. The Broome County Forum was the perfect venue (only 1500 seat capacity) so there is not a bad seat in the house. Over 2 hours of great music. Looking forward to seeing him again!

Joe's Great! He was the showman, He Rocked the new album, then he had fun with "Oh Beautiful", Jammed out "Sloe Gin", And Rocked a newer version of "John Henry", sans the Theremin . He knows how to use his voice singing Blues. I noticed On the second song,, he got out his newest guitar, A 64 Firebird, and it sounded great, it was a Smokin' evening, and if you get a chance, Definitely check him out! Pete P.S. Everyone stays seated, mostly

Saw Joe Bonamassa at the FM Kirby Center in Wilkes Barre, Pa Thursday, May 19th. I keep hearing how Eric Clapton is the king of the blues. Not anymore. Joe is now the king of the blues. I have been to many concerts but I have never seen an audience as pumped up or appreciative of an artist like I did that night. He played the new CD non stop for about an hour. Mostly new songs from Blues of Desperation. Then on to the older stuff for the remainder of the show. He did an awesome cover of "Going Down" by Don Nix. I had hoped he would play "Last Kiss" or "Mountain Time", but he is supporting his new CD and that dominated the setlist. I got goosebumps when he played "Oh Beautiful". People starting howling which was really cool. I am convinced he is the best guitarist in the world today. One of the best concerts I have ever been to. He's da man!

I would have to say one of the best performances I have seen. Seeing Joe Bonamassa live was like putting in his CD and listening. The energy of him and his band were spectacular. He has surrounded himself with some very talented musicians. I have missed a few shows from Joe but I will make sure to see him again.

I was shocked when I 1st saw Mayo Civic Center - because my ticket had the same price as Chicago Theatre last fall. No comparison on venue - or shows. I hope Joe didn't have a fever or broken toe or something! He just came out, (played phenomenal guitar with an All-Star band) and didn't miss a beat. Then left. I thought he'd be more cordial in Smalltown, U.S.A. I thought his performance was "production-like" and lacked feeling. I then watched Sloe Gin at Royal Albert Hall on YouTube, and I'm absolutely right. You gotta give it your all and play to the crowd, Joe! Or I'll just sit at home and watch your premiere performances on my big hi-def TV.

Joe Bonamassa is a great guitar player and musician and entertainer as well. He puts his all into each concert. The rest of the band is the best of the best. Finely tuned musician in sync with every song. It's no wonder he is the top blues artist.
