Gary is a superb, soulful vocalist and accomplished songwriter who delivers smooth, sensual, timeless music that takes one to another zone... His music has a contemporary smooth jazz flair and sexy soufulness about it. He truthfully sings of love and life experiences . His backup singers and musicians are incredibly talented as well. I come every year to hear him at the Birchmere and will continue to come.

Gary is a great performer and his music is timeless. I love the way he appreciates his fans and this comes through in the music. He signed every CD and took pictures with each fan that wanted one after the show. This was our third year in a row seeing him and I can't wait until next year! To all of those who have not seen his live shows you are missing a treat!

This was my first time seing Gary Taylor in concert and this event was AWESOME and I love Mr. Taylor's sense of humor! This event was a treat to myself and I enjoyed from the beginning to the end and I also purchased that evening one of each Mr. Taylor's CD's and I've been playing them everytime I turn on my ignition. I've been a fan of Gary Taylor for many years now as his music is pure, soulful and stimulates the love child in so many of us. Gary is a true artist and entertainer. His set covered all of his greatest hits to include some soon to be released sounds. He even played two songs that were never recorded-released yet wanted to share them with the audience. The evening was pleasantly romantic and good old fashioned fun. Gary rocked the crowd....the "old school" way...crooning the ladies and pump up the "players" in the crowd to recognize and show some love and appreciation for their ladies. It was a wonderful evening of good soulful and romantic music. Gary Taylor is the epitome of entertainment, a true artist and entertainer.

Mr. Taylor chose to do some songs that were utterly forgettable, while omitting some of his better work (i.e.; Never Too Busy). There was no encore and the show seemed "truncated" (especially in light of the fact that there was no opening act and the show was the night beofre Mother's Day). Also............the Birchmere food staff (our waitress) seemed overwhelmed and did not provide a cut-off time as to when the kitchen would close. The kitchen closed before we could order dessert..........and yes, we were on time. We arrived 45 minutes prior to the show.

Been following his music for over 20 years after hearing him first on WHUR in DC. This was my first time seeing him live and he didn't disappoint. He was so relaxed and personable, talking about his music career and cutting up with the audience. Great playlist, outstanding vocals and instrumentals. Took a buddy of mine who had not heard him before and Gary just got a new fan!

Gary Taylor is very talented, but his attitude during the show was unprofessional! He sounded bitter towards his soon to be ex and I didn't feel like his heart was into the performance. Also, it would have been nice to hear more of his popular songs.

I have been following Gary Taylor's music for years since "Tease Me" hit the airwaves. His voice is tremendously soothing and his arrangements are wonderfully executed. I have been to several concerts since he started coming to the East Coast to perform and he always delivers! I anxiously await his next compilation -- "Acoustic Therapy".

I believe I could sing along to any of his hits, but actually being at his event in person added to the value I already gave him! Gary s voice is intoxicating. He is so humble and appreciative of his fans. He gave us a two hour show and I enjoyed every minute. His background singers and band were impeccable! This was the best show I have seen in awhile. I didn t get enough though, I continued to play his music the rest of the night.

This was my first time being able to catch Gary Taylor when he has come to town and it was as awesome a show as I thought it would be. I have been a fan for about 25 yrs and listen to his music all the time. He does not disappoint in concert. I will definitely go see him again.

Gary Taylor presented a marvelous set of old classics and new music ballads that would make you want to fall in love again and again and again. He and his band were exceptional and left the crowd wanting more. His sultry smooth sound as he performed Rest My Lips, Hold Me Accountable and Blind To It All is unforgettable. If you have the opportunity, he is definitely worth the ticket price..

I wasn't sure how he would be in person but after seeing him live, I am very impressed. His showmanship is spot on; his sense of humor and comedic timing is professional grade and his voice was truly as advertised. For someone who has never had a chart hit, his music is strong and consistent. He s an underrated gem of the jazz/R&B genre that clearly isn t getting his due. He doesn't stray from what he is and he knows his audience. I go to a lot of shows at The Birchmere as well as other venues and his is one of the few I would attend again. Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Bravo Gary Taylor!!! Your voice and music is timeless and classic. Thanks for the show.

My husband and I flew in from Ohio just to see him. He was magnificent! Gary interacted with the audience, he was engaging, he sang all of our favorites. He showcased the band and the backup singers. When he sang Rest My Lips, OMG! We didn't get there until 6 pm so we were #93 to be seated, however we were still able to see the stage from our table. The house was sold out! He was available for pictures and autographs after the show. The food at the Birchmere was quite tasty and the drinks were on point. We will definitely be back next year!

Gary Taylor nailed it on the head this time! He played most of his hit songs and was very engaged with the audience. It was so nice to hear songs that he normally would not sing on his set. I saw Gary at Birchmere last year and wished he had played more of his hit songs. My only critique is to ask Gary to stop saying that he doesn't like a particular song of his and that is why he won't play it. Fans pay money to hear those songs and come to see him because of his music! Music that HE WROTE! He should play the damn song even if he no longer likes it. It's called work. I go to work everyday and have to do things all the time that I don't like. But, at least I'm getting paid for it. Get over it Gary. Play the DAMN SONGS!!

Going to see Gary Taylor at the Birchmere is a fantastic experience because the Birchmere has a fantastic sound system and provides intimacy and a great view, which makes a Gary Taylor concert an even more fantastic experience.
