For starters, I FINALLY saw an entire Trivium set! This is the 4th time I've been to a show with Trivium in the lineup. Somehow, I always show up 10 minutes before they finish. This time, I caught their entire set and it was tremendous. Crazy dueling guitar solos, vocals both guttural and melodic, thunderous drums, and ball-crushing bass. Trivium was a GREAT start on the main stage. Next up was Megadeth. Despite being a 40 year-old metal head who goes to LOTS of shows, I had never seen Megadeth before. Dave Mustaine, Dave Ellefson, and company brought the storm as I knew they could. It was great to hear Hangar 18, Wake Up Dead, Symphony of Destruction, and Peace Sells - along with some of their lesser-known tunes. The only detraction from their set was some sound issues that were fixed by the time they finished their second or third song. Godsmack was up third. I've seen them four times now, and they always kick my ass. They were as crunchy, raw, and powerful as ever. The band was tight through every song, and I was very surprised to see the pyro effects that they brought to a festival show. Sully Erna got behind a second drum kit for a four-handed drum duet as usual. And. . . it rocked as always. Disturbed finished the show in true head-banging style. They're my 3rd favorite band - only behind Iron Maiden (Up the Irons!!) and Queensryche. My 5th Disturbed show, and it never gets old. The music is always perfect and David Draiman is an absolute master of his vocals. Rockstar's Mayhem Festival always brings a great show. They outdid themselves this year.

The show was amazing, the band line up was a little weak but main stage made up for it. I do recommend always pregaming before going beer at the venue was outrageous but that falls more on Jiffy Lube Live then the tour group. The metal motocross is worth seeing and the stages were sit up great.

I was stunned on the sheer smallness of the festival as a whole. Only one stage besides the main stage. Ticket sales were down so much everyone got pavilion seats without paying more money. I loved the music. Never seen King Diamond so that was a treat. His voice is so amazing. That man can sing high notes low notes and growl all in one line. Freaking awesome. As a true heavy metal fan.... No matter what the festival was fun. This was my 7th festival and I still loved it.

The second stages for the Mayhem Fest were pure sickness !! The bands were awesome and everything was timed perfectly. Although there was a mix of music, I may have changed some of the bands and stuck to a strictly hardcore/metal show rather than adding death metal bands. Main stage .... 5 Finger Death Punch was amazing !! However they blew the PA system during their first song and they performed their first two songs with an intermittent working PA system ... They performed like champs and I looked forward to seeing them as a headliner for a smaller show. Rob Zombie had a sick stage set up and did not disappoint. Overall this show was a 4 star and I would def attend another show at PNC considering their timing was impeccable and planned very well ... Above all meeting Rita Haney - Dime's (Pantera) widow. He was my hero and although I never met him, she was so nice and made a memory I will never forget !!

I traveled from Dallas Texas to attend this event because I will be missing the Dallas show in August. I haven't missed a Mayhem show since its beginning and this is the first out of state show I have attended. The venue, weather, and bands were excellent!

A weak lineup-Zombie put on an impressive shoe/John Five had just as strong of a presence. A classic band should have been in the lineup. Last year's bill was much better.

Can't wait for next years toasted Mayhem!!!

While all of the bands that I saw did an excellent job, Rob Zombie by far is the superior performance. I had waited 15 years to see him live and he did not disappoint. Every song had different videos, costumes and props. He has a terrific stage presence. I can't wait to see him again.

The Rockstar Energy Mayhem Fest was INSANE! Great bands, good company, and reasonable prices! The only negatives I have about my experience was the lack of a break in between bands, if you wanted to visit a booth for a band you had to sacrifice seeing another because they were literally 1-2 minutes apart from bands. The second problem I had was with the weather, which burned me beyond belief, but that was nobody's problem but my own. ;p All in all, I recommend going!

Where do I begin. Texas Hippie Coalition - awesome and great guys (got autographs and met them). Suicide Silence, Cannibal Corpse melted the crowd with awesome mosh pits. Body count great. Trivium rocked it. Asking Alexandria had bras thrown all over the stage - need I say more. Korn was unbelievable, better than I thought they would be. Avenged Sevenfold absolutely amazing, best live band to see. Die hard fans cheered and sang right to the end of the encores. Shadows complimented fans as he said " I can't believe that after singing, screaming and moshing all day you still have this much energy to sing with us. You guys rock, NJ. I'd go to war with you! Are you ready for war?! (Lead in to song "This means war"). Great set, awesome artists. All the bands brought their best and rocked us hard. Thank you to all the bands at Mayhem.

I have been to a couple of the Rockstar fests, and this one was like the others with a cool lineup. This show was great, very cool bands and great songs with show presence. This year I spent time at the smaller stages,Huntress,Battle Cross, and the Butcher Babies were excellent. Something for everyone, this is why this is such a great deal. Rob Zombie the headliner was his usual great self, a multimedia stage with monsters, movies and great music ,it is always a good time. Five Finger Death Punch got the crowd pumped up, and Mastodon and Amon Amarth were great. As long as they keep coming with such great packages, I will be a Meyhem fan, Rock On ,Ant

OK. Just back from Afghanistan, and walked into the Mayhemfest. The bands were supreme!!!! Stages were conveniently set up- easy to move back and forth. Sound was excellent- bands did not override each other when sets were played at the same time. Cannibal Corpse was friggin amazing as usual! Good people, good music- vendors were great as well. Food was better than I expected also- expensive but well-made and delicious. The show inside the amphitheater was fantastic. Korn of course took the night in there. Sound was excellent- beer was cold and always available. Staff members were great people- security was good and not annoying at all. Good people. All in all, a massively awesome time!!!!

I had a blast and go to at least one event at white river a year depending the line up. The bands were great except mastodon. They shouldn't have been on the main stage. I was at the front gate on the floor for the whole night watching all the main stage line up and really just wanted to take a nap when they were on. Don't mind them from a disc but live was horrible. Five Finger Death Punch stole the show I think and Rob Zombie was great but mastodon just had me bored and waiting for them to get that train wreck over with.

Show was great all the bands did their best due to the wacky weather. Don't know why everybody complianed about parking from other events we had no problem getting in or out and you didn't have to pay for it either try doing that in NY never going to happen. Slipknot were the best and we were in the pit so had a great view really no bad seat in the house nice and intimate for all. Maybe not the lawn area but P&Cbank art certre in nj is set up the same way but 3 times the size so it was well worth it to come here over that overpriced hole. Would like to come here again that is for sure.

It had been a few years since I've been to a fest at this location, so this time bought a pit ticket as well as a seat in the lower section. My plan was to be in the pit for a few bands and sit and drink a few while watching a few others. Turned out this was a waste of money. The bands I wanted to see, Cannibal Corpse and Texas Hippie Coalition, both played on the 2nd stage. It turned out all but 4 bands played on three different "2nd stages". They played one right after the other from the time the gate opened for 5 hours. Had I known this was the schedule, I would have just bout a lawn seat and saved $100.

Mixed feelings about this one. Arrived about 5:00pm, plenty of parking and easy venue access. Easy entry, security was polite and smooth. Weather was very hot but there were misters and water fountains, which is good because small bottles of water cost $4.50 each, and outside water was allowed to be brought in, I saw folks with gallon jugs and camelbacks. Overall friendly crowd, no fights or problems. There was a main stage with three side stages. Only bands worth seeing at this show were Bodycount, Cannibal Corpse and Korn. Bodycount should have been on the main stage but they were on a side stage and only played about 25 minutes. Same with Cannibal Corpse. Both performed well. Trivium opened on main stage, excellent guitar solos but that's about it. Asking Alexandria was next, not a big fan but they did perform well with decent vocals and good sound. Korn was next and should have been the headliner. They performed very well but the sound was not that great, bass was too low, mids and highs were not mixed properly. Outdoor sound is tricky, maybe they needed more subwoofers. I left before Avenged Sevenfold came on because I'm not a big fan and I had a long drive home with work the next morning. Overall I felt like I got my money's worth. But the organizers of the event could have saved a lot of money if they just had four or five bands on the main stage.

I completely enjoyed the bands that played Mayhem this year. Avenged Sevenfold brought there A game. Korn was great as always and Body Count Brought me back to my heyday. The issue I had was with the drink policies of the "beer gardens". I went into the beer garden to grab a beer a hot dog and a coke. Drank my beer ate most of the hot dog and wanted to get back to the show with my coke. The GUARDS at the exit said that i was not allowed to take my coke out of the area. I demanded my money back and they said no but that I can go get my free refill but had to wait in line (which was the point of buying it at the same time as my beer and hotdog). I had not even had a sip out of it and had to pour it out as Avenged Sevenfold was going on soon. Nobody warned me that I could not take the coke out of the area but they did have 8.5" x 11" papers taped up stating no drinks are allowed out of the area right as you are going out, None up by the concession stand. The concert I attended the week prior (Kiss and Def Leppard) you got a wrist band to signify you were 21 and you could drink in the vendor area of the event center. This pretty much ruined my experience at White River that day.

I had a fun time at Mayhem this year. The music was great. There was plenty of merch to choose from. Lots of fun people. The sound was awesome, last time there were some issues with a few band's sound going in and out but not this time. I was there for only a handful of bands, Cannibal Corpse, Suicide Silence, KoRn, UABB, Trivium, Mushroomhead. I wish KoRn was the main closer but otherwise the rest of the lineup was alright. Body Count was fun to watch. I wish the venue would lower there concession prices a little. It was hard to compromise between getting merch or getting water and food, especially in the heat. Overall I'd give this years Mayhem Fest a 7/10. I've gone since 2009 and they've done a lot better in the past.

I've never been a huge Slipknot fan, but I had heard so much about their show that I had to check them out. They lived up to their reputation. Slipknot put on an amazing performance. I love Motorhead and they were fantastic as well. I'll still keep Motorhead on my iPod and see Slipknot live whenever I get a chance. Mayhem Festival was awesome, but there were some definite lessons learned for next year. Lesson #1: Find out the set times before the show and plan accordingly! We arrived when the doors opened and we had no idea who was playing on the Jaegermeister stage. We tried to find a list of set times and finally asked when we went up to the beer counter. We found out that the pavilion would not open until 6pm, so that's 4 more hours in the sun and it was HOT! We found out that Anthrax was playing on the Jaeger stage, so we headed over there to check out the bands. Lesson #2: Explore before buying drinks! Having learned that only the side stage was open until 6pm from the beer guy, we walked over there to check out the bands. Apparently since that stage was technically in the parking lot, no liquor was allowed. Yes, no Jaegermeister allowed near the Jaeger stage. We found this out after friends had just purchased two enormous and expensive beers, so we couldn't go into that area and just found a shady place under a tree and listened to the bands from afar. We had no idea who we were listening to but they sounded good and it was actually kind of relaxing. Not ideal, but it worked out. Lesson #3: Anthrax are no dummies! When we first heard that Anthrax was not playing the main stage, we were kind of offended for them. They're a big deal and we thought they should have played the main stage instead of Asking Alexandria. After further consideration, I think it was a brilliant move on their part. During their set, they said that they requested to play on that stage b/c it was a general admission setup and they wanted everyone to be able to mosh and get crazy and 'You don't need seats at an Anthrax show!' That makes perfect sense, actually. Their set started at 5:20pm on a hot summer day in a huge amphitheater. That's a tough time slot. If they had played on the main stage, they'd be playing to a bunch of empty spaces, people walking down the aisles with armloads of nachos, and half the arena probably hadn't even arrived by then. By making the crowd come to them on the side stage, they end up playing to a huge, energetic crowd instead of a bunch of empty seats and people getting settled in. It completely changed the energy and gave the people with lawn seats an opportunity to get close. Really smart move, Anthrax! Lesson #4: Lots of sunblock and stay hydrated! My biggest gripe about Mayhem Festival is that it was so brutally hot and there was no shade near the side stage. I only lasted about 15 minutes before I felt like I was going to pass out. We spent most of the afternoon listening from a shady area in the distance and had no idea what bands we were listening to. I would have liked to see more of Anthrax, but I felt like I was minutes away from developing Melanoma and I had to hit the shade. I think I sweated off an entire tube of sunblock. It was brutally hot.. But then again, it is called Mayhem Festival, not Comfortable Climate Festival.

The opening acts having tents where they are selling their shirts and Cd's....being able to come across band members and interact, take pictures, and get autographs as they were walking about which was FANtastic verses having to stand in a line and wait in the hot sun for some of the bands. The band members from ATTIKA 7 & Thrown INTO Exile were very inviting & Great to the Fans!  Rob Zombie coming out into the crowd during the show ; and having the VERY Large Balloons for fun in the audience was sweet! Incredibly hot but you couldn't ask for a better line up and easy to navigate venue. Mayhem makes a fun festival full of vendors, and entertainment and a lot of focus on the music and music history. Every band had a good set time and they used time wisely so that there was never a moment without a band performing as one stopped the next began and the stages were set up side by side so that you didn't have to miss any band.

Machine Head put on yet another amazing set this year(I really wish theyd get a shot at playing the main stage)Five Finger Death Punch rocked the house, and I loved the part when Ivan called all the youngsters on stage during White Knuckles :) Boy oh boy is that an unforgettable memory for those kids!! They get to tell all their friends that they were on stage with 5FDP!!! My highlight of the festival was most definitely Rob Zombie!!! Too much detail to give a thorough description of his performance, so I will say this: IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ROB ZOMBIE LIVE.....GO DO IT!!!. The only negative thing to mention is that it was brutally hot.

Another year, another Mayhem Festival! Really great bill this year that seemed to have something for everyone. The classic Metal bands Slipknot, Motorhead, Anthrax, Slayer were really great to see on the same bill along with the newer metalcore acts, Whitechapel, The Devil wears Prada, as well as the new comers Betraying the Martyrs,The Mayhem Fest also included the bubblegum metalcore band Asking Alexandria to bring in the younger kiddies. Again this year had something for everyone and it was cool to see a number of young adults hanging out with a parent and having a Metal bonding moment. I think this is something the promoters should consider when assembling a bill for the show, have some classic metal bands along with newer bands, both age groups get exposure to music they may not listen to ordinarily. Slipknot was very entertaining giving everyone their moneys worth, I don't think anyone left until the show was over. This is the 3rd year in a row I have gone to the Mayhem Fest and I think it could have been the best show so far.

ton of things to see, do, hear. first one i've been to, probably not the last. i know now how things are scheduled to better see everybody though. main bands were great shows, though i'm not a big slipknot fan. slayer were better than advertised and anthrax were great as always. and finally after 4 times trying in 20 years, motorhead didn't cancel the night before.

Awesome front row tickets in the PIT! Made friends, caught guitar picks. Got awesome band pictures! Didnt like the small area to try to get to the second stages. Really tight and took 20 mins to walk 40 feet! Make more room and dont block side paths! Otherwise it was AWESOME!!!

All the bands were great. The setup was perfect with the 2 side stages (Jagermeister and Revolver). I loved that we found a good spot and didn't have to run back and forth, we could see both stages perfectly and didn't miss any bands because everything was all close together. The bands on the main stage were FANTASTIC. MegadethGodsmack and Distubed all did an awesome job. They had everything timed perfectly so we didn't have any long waits between any of the bands from the time the festival started until it ended. Thank you for such a well organized and performed concert.

I was there the last 2 years and it was great. This year was not very good and will think about buying tickets next year. God Smack and Mega Death were great. Disterbed played some music then spent about 20 mins wishing the owner or person the came up with Myhem a happy birthday and them was done. It was not worth the money I paid for the tickets and would have liked to have heard more music from Disturbed. They had a great show starting out but come on 20 mins to wish happy birthday. I can see 5 or 10 mins but they was nuts. Then to leave the stage and not play anymore music after what a bunch of crap. It will be very hard for me to look at buying tickets next year for this. We were with 8 couples and they felt the same way.

I'd say this was a great show for the price. Had many different bands for the different styles of metal one might like. Had your extremes to the mainstream metal! It was awesome to have seen Trivium again, very close this time around! Disturbed started off a little slow as far as stage presence but picked up towards the end. Godsmack kind of lagged in my opinion, they seemed to have played their songs a little slower rather than speeding it up for a live show. Overall, it was an awesome festival and would definately recommend going to it! Can't wait for Mayhem Festival next year!

This is the second time I went to the Meyhem fest. For the price it is a good package of metal acts. Machine Head started with a blistering set, followed by classic Megadeth, and then Godsmack and finally Disturbed. The show provides a setting for young metal bands to meet fans and get music out, since metal is back to undergound status,a good way to keep the music alive.Although the crowd of approx 15,000 would disagree. Only if the weather could have cooperated more,Whew 95 degrees, Rock on Metal brothers and sisters. \\m/ Anthony

Let's start out with my disappointment with the line up compared to last year....Now fast forward, the show was off the hook! I loved Straight line Stitch , Suicide Silence, Testament took me back as well as Megadeth....Godsmack put on an awesome show (did I mention I am in love with the singer) and Disturbed put on some great pyros and a good show as well (even though I don't really like them), as far as the rest of the bands go, they were good and some I missed due to wandering around drunk somewhere else. I am going to next years Mayhem for sure, no matter who plays...it is my new yearly concert event since there are no more Ozzfests :(

This was my sixth time seeing Korn. I absolutely love them and it had been over two years since the last time I had seen them. I'm not sure what happened but they went on late and quit early and there was no encore. They barely played an hour. They were amazing for that hour but I wished that they had played longer like they used to.

Ended up getting to Mayhem around 2:30ish, the side stages we're just awesome, when I saw that Chimaira started to play I had to jump on it, and what a fantastic job they did, props out to Hatebreed and Atreyu too who did an amazing job like always. It was a little bit to hot when it came around to Five Finger to open up so not that many people we're enthusiastic about it including myself, but they still did a good job, and when Lamb of God came out people rose to their feet and they rocked us all. I mainly came for Zombie so when he finally went on he had everyone paying attention and on their feet, I'll tell you this, he did not disappoint, AT ALL. One of the sickest shows I've been to in a while, last Mayhem was insane, this one was right up there.

The event was just down right a great time. It rained several times throughout the day and that just made moshing in the mud pits more fun. I dub this years mayhemfest mudhemfest10. All the bands were just absolutely great. Five finger death punch gave a much needed shout out to the troops. The lead singer of in the moment, which is this buetiful blonde pricess dressed as belle from buety and the beast, puts on a real great showing. Above all the names and great licks played Rob Zombie got his second wind or maybe third who knows and stole the show.

I bought $200 VIP PIT tickets through live nation and couldn't even get it the VIP areas. We had to walk all the way around other side of VIP parking to get in and there were no live nation VIP areas at the venue !!! That was a waste of $600 !!! The bands, the shows were awesome !!! As for the food, it was disgusting and very overpriced. Paying $4.50 for a I would expect it to at least be cool if not cold !!

I have been to all of the Mayhem Festivals & I have to say this was the best by far!! A stellar metal lineup at its finest. Motorhead, Slayer, Slipkont all had amazing sets & put on amazing shows. I feel that Slayer by far stole the whole show. But Slipknot was amazing as well. I took my brother (who is now a Slayer fan) & my nephews who are 18, 15 & they were there to see White Chapel & other bands on the 2nd & 3rd stages. We had an awesome time & we cant wait for the next one!!

I was really there to see Sliipknot. While they were still great, there was something about Slayer that night. The Marshalls stacked as upside crosses that shot fire out of them I'm sure had something to do with it. They were just on point. All in all, it was a sick lineup and was just awesome.
