Barney

I saw this show just 11 days after my 15th birthday! And my godsister & her friend (who's also my friend) took me to go see Barney! The show was awesome! The human actors were energetic, but the costumes in the show kinda looked alright IMO! They definitely improved when HiT gave the show a Barney costume made by them, because the 1st 2 Barney costumes (made by Vee Corporation (the same people who made Sesame Street Live, Bear in the Big Blue House Live, My Little Pony Live on Stage & Dragon Tales Live)) looked alright to me, but they didn't look like the actual Barney costume used on the TV! They changed the head to resemble the costume used on the TV (same with the other Dino's), but the bodies however stayed the same! If Vee is ever to make another concert (If HiT allows them), I IMO I think they need to use the costumes from the TV show Barney & Friends, so kids can be like "BARNEY! I LOVE YOU! I SAW HIM, MOMMY! THE REAL BARNEY"! But through it all, the show was fantastic, the songs were awesomely remixed, the covers were great, but IMO, they should calm down with the Hip-Hop stuff, because they're doing a show for ages 1-5! Great show & I can't wait to see Barney perform again!

What makes my grad daugter happy, makes me happy. She had the time of her life. Barny is her favorate. She is only 16 month old.

Our Twins Zoey and Zakary turn "2" on Nov.23rd and there was no better way to spend it but to spend it with Barney!!! They LOVE Barney and we watch him all the time and dont go a day with out him! It was too sweet that it was "Barneys Birthday Bash" being that its their Birthday as well and they were so happy to be there!!! I was really wanting to find away to have a Barney come to their party and dance and sing but was having no luck finding that online but going to Barney Live was just as good and we really enjoyed it!!!

My 5 year old and 15 month old both absolutely loved it. I personally would have like to see less "pre-recorded video" and more singing/interacting from the cast.

The show was really entertaining for all of the kids.

Good show; good price on teh seats...but the venue was not very good...too dark and empty

I took my 3 year old son to see Barney Live. It was amazing! The ticket prices were great, I actually would have paid more for them. The entire cast and crew were great with all the kids and families that were there. Everyone that was there seemed to have a blast, young and old! It was a very energetic and interactive show! If I hadn't had to work the next day we would have tried to get tickets to go again! That's how much we enjoyed it! I didn't see a single unhappy person, staff or visitors! It was great to see the kids dancing and staff members were great about keeping the kids where they belonged! I just wish they would have had a cd and a program for purchase. We go to alot of Childrens shows and this was by far the best one. I would definately reccommend it to a friend. I hope Barney comes back again next year!

We've been to other Barney shows, but this one was very different. Old songs have more of a hip hop beat and it works, believe it or not. At first my daughter seemed a ltitle confused because she knows the songs, but it didn't take long until she was totally with the program. She was able to stand up in front of her seat and dance with Barney and his crew and she loved it as did the other children around us. Barney teaches kids very important concepts and skills and I'm very glad he is still around. And now, as I said before, Barney Rocks!

Mu daughter is 5 and she has Downs. Not to many things intrigue her, but I have to say this show was awesome. She danced, sang, and to see her face light up was just priceless. Came straight home and ordered tickets for the next event.

I thought the show was ok. My son really enjoyed watching Barney. I felt the characters could have interacted more with the audience. I would go again because my son loves Barney so much.

The show was wonderful...amazing. We will definitely be coming back to the next show. It appeared that any of the seats that were sold were good ones.

They did a good job making the concert lively and enjoyable for the kids. It was freezing in the venue though.

This was the worst Barney I have ever seen. I've been to others and this was terrible!!!!!! A huge waste of money and time!!!!!!! The characters were generic looking and the kids on the stage were teenagers. The kids on the Barney shows are young. The stage was really little and there were no props used. No houses, clubhouses, red caboose...nothing!!!!!!!! I was absolutely disgusted and disappointed. If I could get my money back I would!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How could your balloons, t-shirts, and stuffed animals look identical to the real characters but your characters look soooooooo ridiculous????

Barneys birthday was pretty good. I took my 4 year old grandson who loves Barney-has all the movies and so on. By the intermission though he was ready to go- too long I guess. He expected to see the kids that appear on the movies/TV show. He was very disappointed they were not on the show. When they didn't show he was upset.

The show was good but the arena was very cold. Also the side stage seating was not very good. The show was directed to the middle and not very much attention directed to the sides of stages. Also some of the workers were letting the kids dance in front of there chairs while others was making the kids stay seated.

My kids enjoyed the performance. They sold balloons for $5.00 a balloon at intermission in the arena, walking around the seats. For as much as the tickets cost, they should have given one to each child, there were not that many children in attendance. Of course all of the kids want a balloon, did they want a bunch of fits on there hand? I realize that they need to make money but come on, sell them outside the arena. The performers were great and energetic!

I was so disappointed!!! This was nothing like the one I took my son to in the late 90s. there were no kids in the show. they didn't have any programs to the show at all like before. they had a not even a fourth of the props then they did before. they didn't have a cd to the show. they had about half the songs they did in the other show and no band like before. If i knew then what i do now I would not of spent over 100.00 for three tickets !!!!!!! THey need to go back like when Barney first started, even on the tv show the beginning yrs were way much better like with the kids like min, kathy, jason, julie, shawn, derek, keesha, lucy, micheal and etc !!!!!

Loved the songs and had fun with the characters. Wished they came into the audience more. Kids really would have loved to be closer to them.

I took my 2-1/2 year old daughter. She really loved it. They sang and danced the entire time. It is filled with energy. I would recommend it if your child likes Barney.

Barney was great and my kids loved it! My only complaint would be it started about 10 minutes late which is very long for a 3 year old when she really wants to see Barney. Loved the singing, interaction and great show!

Ours kids had an amazing time. ( 3yr old and 1yr old) Obviously these people know how to cater to kids. Very short dialog between song, and a 15 minute intermission for bathroom breaks. Also, the dancers were very engaging. As a parent I also have to admit I had a good time too. We will go again.

Barney was very entertaining. The show was well put together without a minute of dullness in it. Barney is a great dinosaur. With all the singing and dancing going on, the show was exciting! Great show for kids and adults alike!

The show was very energetic and interactive, full of singing and dancing. My 23 month old daughter was absolutely amazed and loved the show.

We had the time of our lives. I took my 20 year old daughter who has special needs whom has been a Barney fan forever. My 3 and 8 year old grandson also attended. Fun was had by all. Even my 8 year old was having fun making sure his little brother had a time of his life. We met Barney before the show and had pictures and hugs with Barney. That was a dream come true. Still telling anyone who will listen, so very exciting. We happened to get on the big circle screen while dancing and having a wonderful time. The whole show was amazing to us all. Keep everyone one of us captured the whole performance.

the show was excellent but I would not recommend the meet and greet. It was just standing in line in a dark room to hug barney, have some girl take your pic with your own camera and then you had to leave. The songs they sang were great though and my son really enjoyed the show

Barney Live was an awesome experience and I wish that they would continue to offer Barney shows and not just for the 25th Anniversary. It is so hard to find Barney entertainment for the kids to attend. My daughter (age 2 1/2), newborn son, husband and I attended this show. We drove over four hours one way but it was so worth it to see the excitement in my daughter's eyes. I know it is something she will talk about for a long time We had awesome front row seats and were able to get up and dance around if we wanted. Plus the characters came down from the stage and danced right in front of us. Very cool experience. The show was about 90 minutes (went by very fast) and there was a short intermission, at which time they came out and sold Mylar balloons. They also had merchandise available to purchase (tees, light sticks, Barney, Baby Bob and BJ dolls). We would go again if there was a show closer to us.

My kids had the BEST time!!! It was interactive, exciting and captured their attention the entire time!!! Great Show!

I bought these tickets for my Granddaughters they turned 2 Saturday so the Barney Birthday Bash was perfect.They had the time of there lives as did there parents.Thanks for making entertainment for the little ones they love Barney and have most of his DVD's. Robin

I was disappointed with Barney Birthday Bash. Barney walked out and it was a cheap costume that had visible lumps in it. You can buy a costume like it off of Ebay. Baby Bop, BJ and Riff also had cheap costumes that did not look like the characters on TV. There were 3 adults dancing with the Barney characters made to look like kids but they were adults. They just kind of sang songs and danced around. No big props. Twice during the show they fired canons filled with streamers without ANY WARNING which about caused everyone to have a heart attack because it was so loud. It was a Birthday Bash and they didn't even have a cake (like a large birthday cake prop). We paid about $150 for a family of four to go. Definitely not worth the money. You could tell it wasn't that great because the audience was talking a lot and not that in to it.

We had front row Dino Seats and got to go before the show and meet Barney and take pictures with him. My 4 and 1/2 year old grandson was in heaven. He danced at the stage the entire night. This was an amazing show. The characters came down and shook hands with some of the kids. The colors were spectacular so colorful.

I thought it was such a great thing for the performers to be so interactive with the kids. It was kinda hard to keep my little ones sitting in one spot cause they were just so excited. I definitely had a great time!

The concert was unforgettable, my kids had a great time, we got front seats so it was very worth it, I would definitely recommend this concert!!!

This event far exceeded my expectations. My 3 year old daughter is absolutely in love with Barney right now and the show was a surprise for her. We had seats on the 2nd row, but spent much of the event on our feet right in front of the stage. Barney and friends came out in the audience and took pictures and hugged the kids and it was just awesome. They sang lots of songs that my daughter and I know and we sang along the whole night. Great Show

We took my three year old on Saturday to see the Barney show. It was well done, with high school age kids sprinkled in that did a good job of keeping things moving. They all did a good job singing and dancing and staying upbeat. The thing that pleased me the most was the voices of Barney, BJ and Baby Bop. I was concerned that they would be different, but they weren't. Good job. A little pricey, but lmy boy thoroughly enjoyed himself. Thanks.

My little girl is 10 and has Down Syndrome. Barney is her life. We had the photo shoot so she could be right by him. The joy and excitement in her eyes when she saw him was worth a million dollars. Thank you for bringing this event closer to home. We still had a 2 hour drive, but it was worth every minute. One of the songs Barney sang at the end was beautiful and says everything about my daughter's life. I had never heard it before and we are trying to find the words to it. He talks about if you need a friend that he will always be there.

I think I was much more excited than my kids (6, 1 & 2 and niece 3) to watch Barney I had gone to see him about 4yrs ago and it was GREAT my daughter was so surprised and happy it made me cry....but this time I wasn't impressed. Barney and his friends didn't look like their "authentic" selves, the costumes were replicas!!!!! The kids enjoyed it, they sang all the "hit songs" and overall a good experience, just wished they would have told me what to expect!!!

Was super excited to see this show. My son is 14 and still loves Barney. We have seen Barney live in concert in the past, when he was like 7, so we couldn't wait. The show was not up to par, in my opinion. He loved it - lots of songs and dancing. But where were the kids? The storyline not so great compared to last Barney show we saw. I thought the idea of paying to meet the characters before the show was a brilliant idea. I paid because the print stated there would be two characters. Disappointingly enough, there was just Barney. I did not tell my son, who has Aspergers, that there were supposed to be two because he would have never gotten over it.

Both of my children absolutely had a great time at this event. We will be seeing Barney and the gang again if they come around!

Seeing Barney in Concert with my family was the best early Christmas gift I could've given my 2 year old. She smiled and laughed the entire time. I was very impressed how true to the movies they kept the show. Excellent evening for everyone.

Excellent show..had the whole audience participating in the show. My granddaughter wanted to go again the next night!

My girls loved the show. They stood the entire show singing and dancing. It was never a dull moment with the singing and colors. We would go again that's for sure.

Very simple show - nothing Fancy. All the main charcters were there and lots of music. The kids enjoyed it and thats what matters. Shame not many people turned up - the arena was 9/10 empty

The performers were excellent but the show itself was not what I expected. The storyline and lack of interaction with the kids were disappointing.

Recently brought my 2 yr old daughter to Barney's B-Day Bash @ The Oakdale in Wallingford Ct...... It was the most enjoyable day of her life. The show is well produced and entertaining through out. Highly recommended! The joy on your child's face is priceless...........

I have a 2 1/2 year old and his attention was not captivated. There needed to be more singing and dancing and music...and Barney should leave some entertainment on the stage when he goes on intermission. Maybe if my son were older it would have been a more enjoyable experience. He sat quietly for the wiggles which was much more lively. Barney needed to be more exciting to keep their attention.

We enjoyed the show. The only thing missing from Alyssa's big day was actually meeting Barney. Thank you Murat for putting on such a delightful show. Every employee we came in contact was extreamly helpful and pleasant.

The show its self was amazing!! My son was overcome with excitement when Barney came out. He just couldnt believe what he was seeing!! The show couldn't have been better!!! Although, I wasn't very happy when I arrived and had to pay for parking!!!!! There was NOTHING on your website that stated there would be a fee for parking! I wasn't alone in this matter...there were MANY other parents complaining about the situation.

It was great. Perfect for my 2 year old! He loved to sing along and it was great that a couple characters made it off stage to dance with the kids.

The only complaint I had about the entire show was that Barney & Co kept encouraging kids to "get up and dance" and when they did, the ushers rushed over and made them sit down!

My 22 month old was beyond thrilled to meet Barney and actually see him sing and dance. She was one of the lucky ones that got to go on stage to sing him Happy Birthday. The show was fantastic. The dancers were incredible and smiling all the time. So nice. I would recommend this show to any Barney fan.

My daughter with down syndrome had a great time seeing Barney"s Birthday Bash on Thursday at the Long Beach Terrace. We have been going to Barney shows for the past 15 years! The show was filled with songs and a special visit by a very tall Mr. Knickerbocker! This show was a bit downsized and didn't have all the moving sets like some of the shows in the past years but it made you focus on the main subjects Barney and his friends! Baby bop, BJ and Riff were all there. Four outgoing young adults danced and sang along with him instead of the young children being on stage. They did have a video screen above with clips of kids talking about what they like about Birthday parties. They also shot out streamers twice that made all the little one's squeal with delight. The ending was sweet when they had two children from the audience come on stage and present Barney with a birthday card from the audience. Overall it was a great shows to take the little one's or anyone that appreciates Barney and his songs.

This concert and the Barney meet and greet was the happiest moment of my sons life! He has been watching Barney non stop since he was 3 months, and we have been waiting for him to go on tour for the longest! It was worth every penny, we went to the el paso show, and we are going to la and long beach to see the show again! I want to see that expression on my sons face again!!!

Our girl have fun... She love Barney! I recommend to everyone. The guys they used for the show (barney friends) was really nice.

It wasn't what I expected at all. Having seen a number of other kids live events (Disney, Sesame Street, etc) this was by far the lowest quality production. A lot of hip hop dancing that seemed really out of place. I wish it had stayed truer to the show. Overall my 3 year old enjoyed it. For the price I would recommend but don't expect a lot. No scene changes, only 4 "adults" with the rest of the cast. It revolved around Barney's Birthday but just seemed to make far reaching connections to stay with the birthday theme. I wish they would have come down on the floor some like in most of the other shows I have seen.

As a nana I took my daughter, her 21/2 year old & 7 month old. We sat 5 rows from the stage.What a great time we ALL had! The actors were awesome Barney & his pals were the real deal! My grandson was amazed the whole show, jumping & squealing! My 21/2 yr. old was dancing in the aisle! It was very entertaining & just long enough. Would highly recommend! Worth every penny!

This was the most fun I had with my little girl ever. She is 2, and absolutely loves Barney. She sang and danced the whole show. I had such a great time just watching her. This is really a great show for children and their parents. Highly recommend...

We did the meet and greet and then had front row seats! The seats were great and she danced to every song. Barney Live was wonderful. The only thing I would complain about would be the Barney Live video crew would stand front and center of the stage to video for the big screen and he would be right in front of us.

Barney live was a great show......my daughter loved it and had a blast. Will go back again next time.

We had a fantastic time at Barney's Birthday Bash. The show was fun. But the best part of the experience was the staff at the Mid Hudson Civic Center. Small venue but everyone and everything was great. We prefer going here than Madison Square Garden or even Radio City Music Hall. I originally purchased 4 tickets for the show, then my Grandson happened to be up with me this weekend and I needed another ticket. I called the box office, and they were friendly, kind and so helpful, with holding another ticket for my for the show.

What a fantastic show! The kids had a fantastic time. I would definitely recommend this show! They had the entire audience involved. All of the kids were on the floor dancing and having a great time. We had a blast.

My 2 year old son really enjoyed this show! It was very cute! His only thing was he was upset he didnt get to hug barney ! I would def recommend this show for anyone who has kids that like barney!

Barney Birthday Bash Was So Awsome My Daughter Loves Barney So Much She Admires all his shows and we was wondering if it was worth $140.00 to go see this show but after going and seeing this great awsome wonderful show it was well worth the money my daughter sat for the whole show with stars in her eyes like she was in Heaven she sang along with every song and dance and she so enjoyed every min of the show it was like she was there on the floor with them but even though i feel bad she wasnt in the front row when they came off the stage and sang and danced with the ones on the floor she was just as happy as ever just to be there the only thing i disliked about the show was you couldnt hear them for the ones like us who sat a lil back off the floor from the stage they could have had the speakes up so that everyone could hear the show a few of us who payed was just upset because we couldnt hear them at all but overall it was a great and awsome show great Job Barney and crew

This was the first show I took my daughter to see for her birthday, so this show was amazing for her first time. I just did not like the part during the intermission where the ushers brought out barney ballons for everyone to purchase, when the show began again they made everyone lower them because people in the back could not see the show. This made the children very upset because they wanted to play with the ballons but rather then that I would recommend this show if you have a little one at home.

this was a very cute show and my daughter and her friend loved it. It lasted an hour and a half so by the middle of the show, kids were getting a little antsy and crying, but you tune it out I guess. Overall, I would recommend going if Barney happens to be in your area

My two girls had a ball. They danced and sang. I think this was the best show I have taken them to. LOVE IT.

Me and my finance took our 2 and a half year old to see her first concert (Barney). Shes been obsessed since she was a baby. I had thought Barney was going out of style because I can never find any of his things at the store then I found this out in the paper with 25% off and had floor seats! She was dancing on her chair the entire time! Great time seeing her happy.. Hope to see him again

I love the show with Barney and his friends, the actors/performers where incredible too. I think me and my fiance had more of a good time than our 3 y/o lol!! Barney was my childhood character so it felt good to share the same experience with my daughter. All the songs and the dancing made me reflect on my childhood years. Overall, it was a wonderful experience that I'm sure my daughter will never forget!!

. My daughter absolutely loved Barney Live! Saw him at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, GA. It was a great length for little ones.The show was great if you're child is into Barney as much as my little girl.

This will always be a very memorable event for our family. This was a birthday present for our youngest daughter, Abby. Abby is 7 years old and has been fighting brain and spinal cancer since she was 23 months old. Barney is one of her favorites. On the way to the event, she said "Mommy, are you excited? I SO excited!" We did the Dino Photo Pass event. To have her meet Barney was just priceless. She was very excited and kissed him on his nose. We had front row, floor side seats. We have never seen Abby sing, do the motions or dance as much as she did on Thursday morning. She stood up almost the entire concert (which is not always easy for Abby with her balance issues), would turn around and move her hands and arms up and down. SHE WAS SO HAPPY!!! It brings tears to my eyes as I type. Abby has just been diagnosed with her 3rd relapse as of March 22nd. We do not know what the future holds. She will be starting treatment again very soon. She has been a great fighter and we pray that she can fight her way through this again. We know that Barney will continue to bring her great comfort. We have lots of great pictures and lots of fun souvenirs. Please tell the entire Barney cast thank you for a wonderful, magical experience for Abby, her Mommy and Daddy. This may be a job or career for them, but their performance was a great blessing to us!!

We took our 2 year old son to see Barney Live in Concert -Birthday Bash and he loved it!! He was so excited that he got to meet with Barney and get his pictures taken with him. Would highly recommend getting the Dino Seats! They were worth the money to see his little face when he met and watched Barney and Friends from the front row!! The only thing I disapproved of was that the security came up to my little boy (who was no where near their white line) and told him he had to sit down and couldn't dance to the music:( and then a few songs later came back and said it would be fine as long as he didn't get near the white line (which he never did to begin with) but after the security came up to him the first time he was too scared to get up and dance and really enjoy himself. Was very upset over that but overall he loved it and is already asking to go see him again!

My girls, niece and nephew LOVED this show...it's definitely a must see if you have young kids...well worth it :)

We traveled 3hrs to see the show...only to find out (after I bought tix) they are coming to town! But the weekend trip was awesome and the show nothing short of stuuuuuuupendous!!

Seats were awesome, the venue was the perfect size for a child's show.

This was a good show for little ones. My 4 year old enjoyed it. It seemed to be the right length too, so he could pay attention to the whole show.

My 3 1/2 year old daughter and I had a blast! The seats were awesome! I bought the tickets months ago and didn't realize we had 5th row seats! The smile on my daughters face is all the thanks I needed to know she was enjoying herself!

I took my 2 1/2 year old to see the Barney show yesterday at Carpenter Theater in Richmond, VA. All I can say is that it was well worth it! There was a meet & greet beforehand where we had her picture taken with Barney. No...Barney didn't hang around for an hour with all the kids as a previous poster complained, but is that really a realistic expectation? It's a person in a large, awkward dinosaur suit. He can't speak, sit down, or even move around very well. What's he gonna do for an hour with 1-4 year old's running around him? Suffice it to say, a picture with him was enough. The show itself was very enjoyable! Got lots of pictures/video of my daughter laughing, dancing & singing....& at the end of the day, that's what I really wanted. For her to have a good time. I have plenty of friends that won't let their kids watch Barney on t.v. or have anything to do with Barney simply because they find him annoying. Whatever! Try not to take life so seriously & have a little fun! Barney is enjoyable to kids & teaches them a thing or two about animals, other people, manners, morals, etc. What's the harm in that?

Unfortantly I brought these tickets so that I could take my 4 year old son and my 1 year old son. Something came up that I couldn't miss so I had to send my husband in my place. He said the kids had a blast. The only issue I have since I wasn't able to go was that there wasn't a area in the front to take pictures, and I really wanted to see their faces when they realized where they were...lol.

Took my 2 year old who can't sit through a movie but was mesmorized by Barney! He loved it. I had fun too.

My daughter loves Barney on television, but seeing him up close was a little scary for her. It took a little while for her to warm up, than as Baby Bop came out she starting dancing and jumping up and down. So all in all we enjoyed the show.

The meet and greet was very nice loved being able to enjoy the show and have the pictures taken with me and my child. The one event where children with special needs are treated like the beautiful children they are. Thank you to the Barney staff and all venue for being so wounderful to our special children

My daughter loved the show. She was amazed the whole time! The only thing I really had a problem with was the cost of the merchandise. $5 for a balloon?! That seems a little outrageous to me. The T-Shirt we purchased was $18, a little high, but expected. I just think that is is unreasonable to price these items so high. I realize everybody is out to make a buck, but loosen up. I saw some families with 3 & 4 children. How on earth are they supposed to purchase an item for each child, snacks, plus the cost of the ticket?! I guess it's par for the course & people are used to it, but I still disagree with the cost of everything.

I took my two grand daughters to the show. They love Barney and loved the show. It was surprising to see that the show kept their attention as they are both 2 years old. I rate this amazing and well worth the money
