Had a wonderful time at KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas Night 2. Foster the People, Phoenix, The Lumineers and The Killers were all superb. Would definitely recommend this all to a friend.

The Acoustic Christmas concert never disappoints - AFI was my overall favorite of the night and could have easily headlined the event.

Concert was great but too many drunk people that took away from the show. Took our two young teens and did not like the atmosphere for them. We were there for the music.

No bands really stood out for me like in years previous. It did not make me want to go home and buy any songs!! Still can't beat the price for all the bands on the roster.

Before I even bought tickets and flew out to LA for this amazing show, I just wanted to see my favorite band Foals perform live in the US before 2013 was in the books. What I saw, was some of the best bands in the world jammed under one roof and it was absolutely incredible. The energy was there from start to finish, and I didn't want to leave my seat, even when I wanted to grab a beer. The action was non-stop and the typical wait-time between sets was non-existent because of the rotating stage. If you want to see any music festival or sick lineup, see it at the Shrine!

Overall, an unforgettable night. I felt terrible for Of Monsters and Men though because of the technical difficulties during their set, but despite that, I fell in love with their music. All the bands were great, and I had a great time.

Great show. From the very first band all the way to the end the show was full of energy. The surprise was pretty great too. No doubt performed. They were not on the bill and had a surprise performance. That was great. The Killers were the headlines and for lack of a better word, they killed it! Great show. Good people, good vibes. The entire night was fun.

I have gone to all but six of the 23 years of KROQ Almost Acoustic Xmas. This year's lineups were fantastic, but Night 2 (Sunday, 12/9) was definitely the better of the two. The Killers killer set rocked the house as the headliner, the strange genius of Jack White mesmerized the audience, and special surprise guest No Doubt got the entire house singing and dancing in a frenzy. Other highlights included Imagine Dragons, Neon Trees, and M83. However, the Gibson Ampitheatre owes Of Monsters and Men a HUMONGOUS apology. I have been attending live shows in L.A. and around the world for nearly 30 years, and never before has a sound/stage crew screwed up as royally as they did Sunday night. From the beginning of their set, you could hear noise coming over the speakers from backstage. During their first two songs, you could hear sound-checking sounds and the crew talking to each other. But then halfway through the set, the crew talking to each other completely drowned out the band's music and singing. The band slowed, then stopped...and you could still hear the crew sending cues to each other...how could they not hear that the band had stopped playing and the entire theatre was booing?? When the cross-talk stopped, the band re-started their song...only to have it happen again!!! All the interference, mixed signals, and talking completely ruined the set. The band finally finished their last song, and left the stage in disgust. The crew had to take a 15-minute break between bands...killing the mood of the show. If the KROQ Almost Acoustic Xmas wasn't the best show of the year, I would definitely never return to the Gibson Ampitheatre. I hope KROQ finds a new venue.

the show was fun, wish it ended better, no encore for Linkin Park really sucked, I don't think anybody left satisfied in that regard. Also, the sound wasn't great, don't know what was up with the sound for the entire evening.

Another great lineup from KROQ. Why can't San Diego radio station's do what kroq does several times a year. Linkin park, Garbage, Bush, Slightly stupid lumineers etc etc. Fun venue though the sound could of been better. Worth the 2 hour drive to L.A

I have been to several of KROQ's Acoustic Xmases throughout my life. This one by far was the best night I have ever attended. The bands were all amazing. Plus, the energy in the venue was just incredible. At one point I stood completely still and the entire venue was shaking. It was insane. Loved it. I will be deaf for days but it was totally worth it.

As it is every year, the first nite is a harder group than the second. Although I was truly bummed that Incubus bowed out, the show was very entertaining. It is well organinzed, the bands flow through one after another. Definitely worth the $$$ per band.

I heard night one was unforgettable but Night two would be hard to beat. All the bands were amazing live! Florence and the Machine was killer as were Phoenix, Vampire Weekend, Tamper Trap, The Black Keys and Brandon Flowers even after singing a song off of his Killer's days.

Florence & the Machine gave both the best and most awkward performance of the evening. Before the euphoric "Dog Days Are Over" ended, the rotating stage shuffled the band away leaving Florence to finish the song while out of view of the audience. They should closed the show! Phoenix who have been great every other time I've seen them were a disappointment. Sorry, Thomas Mars. I'm not going to applaud you for laying on the stage for half the set. The second strongest performance came from the Temper Trap. Their set was tight and energetic and over too soon. And who could forget Edward Sharpe and his Magnetic Zeroes? They were like a warmer, fuzzier, more talented Manson family.

Great chance to catch new music in one night! From Edward Sharpe to Phoenix, the night was full of good music, good times. And the money goes to people who really need it so it's all good.

The whole concert was fantastic!! (Except we missed the first band.) Every band put on a great, unique show. It was so fun to have all the different bands, and get a sampling like that. This was our first year going, and this will for sure be a new Christmas tradition....but both nights next year! Florence and the Machine was as good as anticipated, but, for me, Temper Trap stole the show!!! Maybe because I totally did not expect it. I was looking forward to seeing them, but not as much as some of the other bands, and yet their performance was tops. All I can say is Wow! Wow! Wow! to the whole night. Thank you KROQ!!!! Oh, and the camera work for the screens was great, perfect editing and got all the good stuff. Without that I amy not have been able to enjoy the concert as much as I did.

The bands at Almost Acoustic for the most part were great, but we were in front of some of the most wretched music "fans" I have ever seen. We had three different sets of people behind us who all were worse than the next (a know it all who liked to sing; a loudmouth who talk-screamed through every song; and a couple of 14 year old girls who screamed like they were at a Justin Bieber concert the whole time). To top it off, security was poor to non existent in most instances. We had teenyboppers blocking our row because 4 of them decided that the middle of the walkway was a great place to sit. They were there for 15+ minutes before any security even approached them. People were swiping other people's seats left and right, and there was no one to lead anyone to their seats, forcing hundreds of people to ask what row and seats we were sitting in. Just a terrible experience.

Man this show was my first ever and I loved it. The Killers covered Morissey's This Charming Man since he couldn't make the show. Not sure if any line up will be as good as 2017. So glad I got to see my favorite bands like Foster the people and Franz Ferdinand but most importantly The Killers closing off the show. What a show.

I love the radio-channel produced shows that have multiple bands in one day, because it gives me a chance to see a band play live that I probably wouldn't have bought a ticket for just them. Two of the bands on Night 2 this year that I enjoyed the most and fit into that category were Walk the Moon and The Lumineers. I already knew I liked their music and style, but they're also both amazing live. I was pretty sure I'd love The Killers, and they didn't disappoint one bit. Always great seeing a show at the Forum. Good acoustics, efficient staff.

I attend probably 20 concerts a year and have done various festivals all over the country. Almost acoustic christmas is always one of my favorite events every year. You get so many headliner bands in a few hours. KROQ does a really good job organizing the event. I attended both nights. The sound and staging were very professional. The choice of venue was easily accessible. I plan to attend many more in the future. Almost acoustic christmas tickets have become a christmas tradition in my household. The lineups are too good to pass up.

The show was awesome. The sets were decently long enough. And for the price point on the tickets, you are definitely getting your money's worth. This was my first time ever going and it was a blast. I went to night 2 and I can honestly say that I enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks, KROQ! It was definitely worth the 8hr drive from Arizona ;) Keep on rockin! P.S. Forum, you need a better mapping system of your seats. If I would have known there was going to be a giant concrete pillar next to me, I would have tried for different seats. That is the reason why I gave this event 4* and not 5*.

This concert was amazing!!! The only issue was where we were sitting the lights kept shining in all our faces, most of us had to close our eyes. They wanted to blind us directly in front of the stage in the lower and upper sections front of stage. The sound was good on most bands, but some bands had the bass too loud where you could not hear the actual singing of the song. Fall Out Boy! So that was difficult. You didn't know what song they would play until it really got into the song due to the bass. Bush had a sound issue - should have attended your sound check. Still turned out good.

When I heard the concert was going to be at The Forum in Inglewood, I was unsure how the sound quality of the event was going to be. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that in the majority of the arena, the sound was fine. In fact, I was pleased with The Forum overall and loved the indoor/outdoor set-up of the event itself. In addition, the bands were all playing at their best and I had a great time. Definitely worth the money. I would recommend getting tickets to both the Almost Acoustic Christmas and the Weenie Roast shows put on by KROQ during the year. I have never been disappointed. I've been to at least one night of about 6 KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmases over the years and it's always a great show by a great lineup. It's a little unfortunate that the format has completely gone away from its original, slightly more toned down ("unplugged") sets by these bands. Might as well take out the "Almost Acoustic" part of its name. Heck, might as well take out the "Christmas" part too, since no band even played a Christmas song. It's fine though. There's nothing wrong with a rock show... but, I'm just sayin'. Big thumbs down to the sound at the Gibson. Night 2, during Of Monsters And Men's set, some sort of Walkie Talkie interference came on and blew everyone's ears out. Props to the band for soldiering through that mess. But even beyond that, the levels just seemed way too high. I go to rock shows all the time and believe me, loud does not bother me, but when the LOUD affects the sound QUALITY, it sucks. Only about three of the bands were at levels, that the audience could understand what they were saying. It is even worse with bands that use a lot of electronic instrumentation (M83, Imagine Dragons, Alex Clare, etc...). Unfortunately, this complaint is pretty normal for shows at the Gibson shows. It's too bad too, because other than that, the venue is GREAT. 5 Stars for the show, 1 for the venue = 3 Stars.

I took my 13 year old son to both nights much to mom's skepticism. ("All kinds of bad stuff goes on at rock concerts!") The first night was flawless in presentation. Unfortunate for Of Monsters and Men on night 2, the sound guys had some serious issues during their set. My only complaint was we had Mezzanine tix the 2nd night but we sat down in the Lodge in our seats from night 1 for the first 3 hoursof night 2 until it started to fill up. We went up to claim our Mez seats but they were occupied and located smack dab in the middle of a 30 seat row! There are NO USHERS working upstairs and nobody downstairs wanted to help so...... we wound up watching the entire show from our unclaimed lodge seats! OH WELL! Why am I complaining? I've read parking is NOT better in the $20 section of Preferred. Don't believe it. It was worth it! Most these bands are one hit wonders. Some have great potential but lack consistant songwriting. Some might become superstars. Imagine Dragons stood WAY out on night 2. creating an atmosphere better than ANY BAND ON EITHER NIGHT! 2 Door Cinema Club had a really consistant set list. There songs are better when they are in the old Airborne Toxic Event Style. I wish I'd NEVER seen either Neon Trees OR Walk The Moon! Love their music....HATED their stage presence! Group Love made me laugh as they reminded me of the old party scenes on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In! The Lead vocalist and the girl were 2 of the BEST performers of both nights while a Rod Zombie clone on bass just didn't fit in! All the headliners didn't disappoint!

They extended the opening acts and the headliner wasn't missed until we were walking back to our car wondering 'Was there supposed to be one more act? I don't think I could handle any more!!" Thank YOU! KROQ for welcoming in our Merry Christmas season!! We LOVE what you do!

Even though all the bands rocked, including the Killers that were Amazing, i was very dissapointed that KROQ did not acknowledge the cancellation of Morrissey. I went for The Killers but the other 2 people that went with me were there to see Morrissey and we had no idea that he was not appearing. If they would have mentioned something during the concert, it would have been better. But the Lumineers, Weezer & The Killers were great & I would definitely see them again!! As for Morrissey, I will never pay to see him since he s known for No Shows!!

I travel from Denver to go to this concert. As far as concerts go - it's a bargain. I went Sunday night this year - I saw 9 bands and honestly all of them were very good. I made a point to get there before 5:00 and no one disappointed. Another huge perk, if you are 21+ is that you don't find yourself waiting in line to get your beer, or use the restroom. That is a huge selling point for me, as the bands play on a rotating stage - so they literally play back to back, with only a minute or two in between sets.

The concert was a blast!! The whole event was put together nicely. Wish we could have bought tickets for both nights together because our second nights tickets weren t as good as our first night because I had to buy them separate.

I've been to many KROQ shows and this might have been the best one! Even though Morrissey bailed at the last minute, the Killers, Foster the People, Phoenix and Walk the Moon more than made up for it.

One of my holiday traditions is attending at least one night of the 2. The lineup was amazing, Jimmy Eat World and Blink killed it.

I mostly came for Weezer, but all of the acts were fantastic. I knew some of the bands from them getting played on the radio every moment of every hour the week before the event, but I never really listened to them until here. There's a reason they made it to the radio! Go see Bishop Briggs!! Literally 80% of the seats were empty the first two hours of the show. It got packed real quickly once Weezer came on, but most people seemed to come for Greenday. And hell, I had no idea what great performers those guys are. They played a good chunk of old music which I was hoping for, but I would have been happy with just playing their American Idiot album after the November fiasco. I dont know what it is, but it seems like Greenday and a lot of famous celebrities are drinking the same koolaid. They still put on a great performance though.

What can I say about this event that hasn't already been said. One of LA's best event of the entire year every single year and the best part, all proceeds go to charity. Way to go Kroq! Keep it up!

My first (and hopefully not last) KROQ AAC was more than I could have imagined. So well organized, and the forum was the perfect venue. Even enjoyed the pre concert events and festivities.

Yes the tickets to this performance are really expensive but they are soooo worth it!! I got to see 8 artists play and I got there early so I was barricade! The most fun I have ever had! I got to be up close for Bastille (FAVE band), weezer, beck, and Green Day!! I can't wait for next year because I'm going both nights!

My first time at KROQ Acoustic Christmas, I didn't know what to expect. I was worried about the time each band would take to set up, since there were so many in the line up. However, with a rotating stage each band performed within 1 minute of each other. Since the sets are short (about 30 minutes) the bands only play the hits, no time for deep cuts. So you'll be sure to hear all your favorites.
