Now, that's what "real" acting is all about! The experience of the cast was well noticed during the play. Lots of laughs, great acting, and the vocals of Vivian Greene was amazing! The only downsize was the fact that the play started an hour late. Fortunately, this wasn't a major issue because multiple streets were closed in downtown St. Louis or blocked for the entire weekend due to a marathon. The tardiness allowed more time for arrivals. Je'Caryous Johnson did make an appearance after the play to apologize for the delay, which I thought was a great gesture.

I am typically not a fan of plays. But this one here was absolutely great. Very funny storyline and great cast selection, they all played their role well. There weren't any dry spots. Also, it was just enough singing not too much. I'd actually go see it again!!!

I must say that I wasn't pleasantly pleased with this play. I didn't know what to expect but my expectations were pretty high due to the talented line-up. The actors looked great and they played their roles as one would expect. I would definitely go see another play after this. There were a few slip ups and minor technical issues but overall I really enjoyed the play.

I enjoyed the play from start to finish. There were variations from the original movie but that was to be expected. I love to lose myself in entertainment, especially romantic dramedies, that momentarily take me away from the daily stresses of life and this play did not disappoint. The entire cast did a superb job of acting, despite a few technical difficulties and distractions. Toni Braxton was a delightful surprise too. I laughed a lot and especially enjoyed Ms. Vivica Fox and Carl Payne, however, everyone played their parts so well. I would most definitely recommend seeing the play when it comes to a theater near you!

They did a great job of updating the jokes and story line to modern things people can relate to. It was incredible to hear Vivian Green sing in person. I had no idea she was so gifted. All of the actors were not afraid to laugh at themselves, it brought a relatable element to the experience. Great night!

Play was hilarious using a mix of veteran tv actors as well as known R&B vocalists. It was a smooth transaction from the original movie to a stage play. There was a couple of hiccups, but that was understandable in a live play. Movie shoots have a chance to do multiple takes to remove errors. But they played right on through it not missing a beat. I must say this play kept me laughing and commenting throughout along with the rest of the audience. What can I say, you have to see this play because you will get your money worth and a great memory of fun.

Venue Acoustics were disgusting, volume was waaaaay too loud and muffled sound of actors, I was very disappointed, as the last play by the Author at the Orpheum was very good and enjoyable.

Although this is a remake of a movie, it was well-presented wherein it was not an exact duplicate. Therefore, there were plenty of twists and turns that kept the audience laughing and engaged. Only two downsides, audio troubles and poor seating configuration.

As a person that LOVED the movie, I was honestly a little nervous about a Live Featured Play. I was extremely impressed at how this All Star Cast turned this beloved movie, into an beyond Amusin, very Entertaining Stage Play with a twist! Jecaryus Johnson did an exceptional job of Not losing the momentum that the Movie had already accomplished, I LOVED it!! Vivica is a Master at her craft, always right on time, and I was so happy to see Columbus Short back in Full effect! A big fan of Porsha Williams, I was rooting go Porsha in the audience. Everyone dod an Amazing job! I didnt see it in my hometown of St. Louis, but traveled to Detroit to see it, for a change, and added excitement. It was more than I could have expected!

This play was great and hilarious. I loved it. Our seats were right in front, we could see everything. We were able to interact with the actors/actresses at the end due to our amazing seats. Carl Payne grabbed my friends phone and took a selfie of himself, Vivica and Je'Caryous. I would definitely love to see this play again and maybe try back stage passes.

First parking. Charging for parking is ridiculous because you just paid a lot to see the play. The venue was old. The play was good but it slowed down in some parts then I got bored. All in all it was pretty good. But needs work.

The play was funny with plenty of punchlines and not a whole lot of singing. On Friday's performance, we loved how the main character incorporated his trip on the stage into his lines...good save (glad you didn't fall)!! He made H-town proud -- thanks for repping home well! What a FANTASTIC show!!!! I thoroughly enjoyed every character. Such talent in one room. I loved the updated tweaks to make the show current to what's going on circa 2017. Of course, Ms. Vivica was EVERYTHING!!! The singing talent was equally phenomenal. Beautiful venue; professional staff; fun to dress up and just a perfect all around date night with my hubby! We took full advantage of everything---valet parking; dining; autographs and pics with the producer and a couple of other actors. WISHED Vivica, Porsha, Vivian and Bre'ly would have come out to mingle with the crowd. Awesome celebrity cast, nonetheless! Would MOST DEFINITELY see it again and recommend to anyone else to see!

With the exception of the parking being 15 dollars and not enough handicap stalls, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this event. The play was even funnier than I thought it would be. Vivica Fox was an amazing stage director. She engaged the audience. The cast was funny as hell. Even the mistakes we're hilarious. And the surprise from Toni Braxton took the cake. If you get the chance, go see this play. You will not regret it.
