A night to remember. We took our son to his first show! He is 4 and a huge Shinedown fan. It was so cool to see his face when those drums kicked in!

Pointfest this year was just ok. Most of the bands didn't interest me, but Flobots, Janis & Hollywood Undead rocked it!

Fantastic line ups. Papa Roach stole the show on Main stage. Seether and Three Days Grace awesome. Hollywood Undead, dominated and Wowed the crowd on the side stages. Biggest disappointment with only half the water fountains working......Long lines for water. Inexcusable for such an event at this venue. Coheed and Cambria not a main stage act, actually found them a bit boring, but they really made Papa Roach stand out even more.

As my first time going to this event I was disappointed the schedule was not displayed on the website. We arrived at 10am and there was nothing going on where our seats were until 5:30pm. We ended up leaving at 2pm because we just weren't having fun and since there was no re entry it was a waste of $70. Maybe if we had the funds to spend hundreds of dollars on drinks and food we could have been entertained until the main show but unfortunately we didn't see the point of spending the money to get drunk in the middle of the day. If we decide to go again next year we will purchase cheaper tickets and not show up until 5pm or so.

We had a great time at Pointfest! All the bands we saw were great, except one. We enjoyed the bands on the side stage, and most of the bands on the main stage. However, we thought that Three Days Grace sounded TERRIBLE! I don't know if something was wrong with the sound system, or if they are just not very good live. At one point in the first song, the speakers went out completely. We stayed for a couple of songs, thinking it might get better, but we left soon after. Kind of a bummer :(

I was a little disappointed that I couldn't actually see all 29 bands because the first 23 were playing on 3 side stages, but the bands that played on the main stage were good. Seether probably should have been the headliner. I love Three Days Grace, but I think Seether put on a better show. I think Pointfest is a great idea, but I'd rather see fewer bands and watch them all on the main stage.

It's a concert x29 once 1 ends, another begins and the bands just get better and better as the night goes Verizon Wireless Amphitheater has the best lawn seating you can see the main stage from anywhere the secondary stages didn't have that theater lawn seatting, and it was hard to see the stage, but that wasn't an issue laughing at all the weirdos that came outta the wood workings was a huge plus as well

Due to a couple illnesses I have been going through for over 5 years now I have not been able to go to any concert in quite a long time. Pointfest was the 1st concert I have been to in about 2 years and it brought me back to life again and for that I am so grateful! I was mainly going for my fav band Shinedown but I also got to see Brookroyal whom I haven't seen in YEARS!!! They are still definitely rocking and am so glad they continue to follow their dream. I have never seen STP in concert before and I do have to say they put on a pretty good show as well and I rocked to them. BUT when Shinedown came on stage & I took all the built-up energy that I had and went crazy! I totally danced and sang my ass off and it was the greatest feeling I have had in a LONG time!!! I cannot thank The Point and everyone else for making me feel something words just can't describe. THANK YOU THANK YOU

Seether is my favorite band in the world, and all the bands put out a great effort! But,..Papa Roach stole the show, with their intensity and ability to inspire a crowd! A close second was Hollywood Undead, with crowd participation. I'd like to thank the Point for putting together some of the best acts out there to choose from! I'd also like to thank the Gods/Mother Nature/Dave Murray, for supplying us with one of the most beautiful days possible!

I was looking forward to 3 Days Grace, but after hearing Seether I thought they should have headlined! 3 Days Grace sounded like they had some sound issues. The drums sounded tinny and the vocals were much louder than the guitars. From the back of the lawn seats, we couldn't really hear the guitars at all! Sounded like an amp blew at one point. I thought they might stop the show for another sound check, but they didn't.

This year's Pointfest touted quite the all-star billing this year with Saliva, Coheed and Cambria, Papa Roach, Seether and Three Days Grace on the main stage. But the side stages were also jam-packed with awesome bands too. The gem of the side stages, though, was Flobots. They were feeling the crowd, getting them so into the music. It was a great set and their violinist rocked it out...a violinist, who knew? Three Days Grace killed it with a performance of Home where they employed a display of pyro technics to really light up the stage. My only complaint is that I wish some of the bands would've had a better blend. A perfect example is Shaman's Harvest. Great set, but the lead vocals and guitar needed to be turned up to get the perfect mix. Fans even tried telling them they couldn't hear him. Even Three Days Grace could've used a little more guitar. All in all, it was another great Pointfest!

I went to specifically see Candlebox and they did not disappoint! They played 4 or 5 songs off of their debut album which was my fave! STP was fabulous as well - they put on a great show. But Shinedown was the best show I've seen in years!! I am 61 and have been to lots of concerts at this venue and others. So many bucket list bands at this show! I was shocked that Blue October and Candlebox were at a side stage, which for Lawn Seats made for a struggle to see all the bands without losing spots or separating the group. All in all an amazing festival that took me back to my 20's!

Having to move back and forth between 2 stages sucked. I would prefer fewer bands on one stage. I purchased seats for a reason. I was planning on having to stand during a show without the option of being able to sit. In order to see one band, I had to miss another just to get close enough to actually SEE the band. Felt sorry for the early bands that people were all spread out and they couldn't really get crowd reaction.

For a festival such as this, AEG needs to step it up. Waiting for concessions for an hour should NEVER be acceptable. Venue isn t designed for three stages, nor that many attendees - and it hurt the entire experience.

Great Artists! Great Sound!! Great Crowd!!! Electric Atmosphere!!!! Now lets ruin it by charging fans $15 for a can of domestic beer and $7 for water. What a joke! The organizers should be ashamed to have anything to do with this sort of highway robbery. Sure you can get a $20 or even sometimes a $10 ticket but you can expect to spend at least $100 if you want to have a few beers and a bite to eat while there. God forbid the venue make water available at a reasonable price on a 90+ degree day. I didn't see a single water fountain anywhere. Aside form the ridiculous concession prices and the occasional douche bag tough guy strutting around, it was a great show.

Sound quality was very poor on the main stage. Vocals were overpowered, so you had to concentrate to figure out which song was being performed. It was very disappointing. We've heard Breaking Benjamin and Alter Bridge before and were excited to see them again. After enduring the poor mix on the bands preceding Breaking Benjamin and realizing nothing had changed, we stayed for 6 songs and left early. The only quality sound was on a secondary stage. The Sick Puppies performance was perfectly mixed. Apparently, the A team was working the smaller stage and the B team on the main stage. The reason for the conflicting overall rating and bottom line, is because this was the first time we've had a bad audio experience at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater. We'd give it another try; but there wouldn't be a 3rd, if we had the same experience.

Not going to lie, I'm not a fan of "all day concerts" that march out several bands. Not only do I not know who the first few are, but usually even the last few that go before the headliner are bands where I only know 1-2 of their songs. Plus, the time in-between bands is usually kind of lengthy. So in the spirit of this... I showed up to the venue after the sun had begun to set around 8:30. Yes, I had to park all the way back in what seemed like St. Charles distance wise. After the 2/3 of a mile hike into the venue; it was time to gear up. $12.50 for a 25oz beer isn't the worst deal in the world, but it's probably a price only fetched at sporting events and concerts. Beer in hand, ticket on phone, and headed to the last row of seating. (Caveat: the lawn would've been fine as I was on my feet the whole time, but being a little closer never hurts when you're certifiably night blind.) Staff scanned ticket, Breaking Benjamin took the stage, and they put on their customary phenomenal show for an hour and a half...non-stop. In addition to playing all of their greatest hits, they also filled in for Korn by playing one of their tunes along with some Metallica "Sepultura", the Star Wars Imperial March, Nirvana "Smells Like Teen Spirit", and some riffs from other 90's rock/alternative bands. It had been nearly 13 years since I first saw them in concert and they were just as good/if not better now than they were back then. I would highly recommend that if you have the chance to see them in concert; you take the opportunity and enjoy.

Excellent musical performances, as usual for Pointfest, with Seether and Greek Fire knocking it out of the park. But the lines for food and drink can easily keep you from your seat for over 90 minutes. I'm not exaggerating -- it's easy to miss an entire performance or two simply because you're in line. This isn't an isolated incident. In fact, we'll be bringing our own food in August when we see the Foo Fighters. Sure wish they would get it together service-wise.

Breaking Benjamin was amazing as ever! Was so glad to see them again. I love Seether...but due to the lines at the concessions, I missed them. I left during the last part of Chevelle and didn't get my food until Seether was over. The fries were holding everything up...and I didn't even order them. If they take so long, have a line for fried stuff and don't hold up everyone! Incompetence!

Even with a new lead singer, 3 Days Grace was awesome. Halestorm was another really bright spot, they just keep getting better and better, and the kids loved Hollywood Undead. And Alice In Chains has always been on my favorites list. The main complaint I have is it took an hour and a half just to get food. I missed 2 bands for chicken tenders and fries!

What a great time i had! My brother, his wife, and daughter(from Northern Mississippi) and I (from Northern Illinois), met up in St. Louis for this outstanding event. We had mainly come for Bush, so we arrived just before 7pm. But that was perfect because Chevelle was just taking the main stage. And they were awesome. My brother had even commented that he didnt realize that he knew and enjoyed that many of their songs. At 8:30 all the band members of Bush came down to the signing booth to give autographs to first 120 fans that were able to buy their new album "The Sea of Memories" before it hit stores on 9/13. Getting to meet the band and get them to sign the new album was unbelievable! They were all really nice and appreciative of all the fans and support. Bush took stage minutes after 10pm, and opened with "Machinehead", which instantly stoked the crowd! It was wild!!! Every other song they played was off their new album, which rocked, and apart from "Chemicals Between Us", the rest were off their first album,"Sixteen Stone". The crowd cheered and sang along through out the whole concert and we all enjoyed every minute!! To finish off the night, they busted out the Aerosmith classic "Come Together", and it rocked!! What a great experience!!

There was a few bands that just blew others right out of there. Greek fire put on a heck of a show with alot of intermixing with the crowd and great sound and songs. 10 years was on fire and put a heck of a perfermance on and got the crowd involved with there songs. The urge had the whole crowd all involved with there performance and was probably the biggest band that had the loudest cheers which I am not a huge fan of theres but they do have some good songs. Bush was good but not exploding , which since they were after Urge , you would of thought to be the biggest and best and it was not.

So for the first time since God knows when, I actually wanted to attend Pointfest. Bands that were on constant rotation in the 90's and early 00's were in the line-up instead of the stable of similar sounding bands The Point normally ushers out for these shows. Cake was disappointing to say the least. They did an amazing performance at the Ho-Ho Show but they had two hours to do whatever they wanted. At Pointfest, they were on the stage maybe 30 minutes. They only played 5 or 6 songs because John McCrea likes to hear himself talk. When the set is that short, just shut up and play. I didn't bother to watch Chevelle and attemepted to go to the Cake signing. Unfortunately, the only hope of meeting them was to buy a CD and I already own all of them. The Urge definitely made the most of their reunion. The crowd was in it, Steve was all smiles, and the energy in the amphitheater reached a peak. You wish they would have put them on last but apparently Bush needed a more elaborate stage show. Bush was good and I somewhat feel sorry for them that people were heading out, but they haven't exactly kept a following since the early 00's with Gavin forming Institute and going solo. The old songs were great, the new ones were marginal, but most bands have a hard time recreating their best album. It was entertaining to watch Gavin head all the way out to the lawn. It definitely livened up the crowd that was still there. If I can say one thing to The Point, you still have your listeners from the 90's. Most of us do not like the new music you play, but we hang on because of The Woody and Rizzuto Show and formerly, the Thom and Jeff Show (on a side note, what happened to Thom and Jeff?), and the Way Back Weekends. I have not gone to Pointfest since the 90's because the bands have basically been crap and there is not distinction from one band to the next. Maybe next year, try one show with the current bands and one show with the favorites from the 90's (and not the ones that had one hit).

When the weather is beautiful, there's no better way to enjoy so many quality shows in St Louis as Pointfest. The lineup is always well done, so there's always good music all day long.

We had such a great time at Pointfest this year! However, we paid extra for reserved seats which were in the bottom right section. We were soo disappointed with our seats. I was hoping for an opportunity like this to express it. Everyone in our section got completely screwed due to the stage set up. We literally couldn't see any of the band except for the singers when they would step out from behind the mountain of speakers so conveniently placed right in front of our whole section. It was a total let down, ESPECIALLY when the urge came on and I couldn't see John Passoni or the horns. In fact, we ended up leaving our seats to go to the lawn. Booooo Pointfest, boo. When you pay for reserved seating and it turns out the general admission lawn is far better it makes the customer feel duped. Please don't put the speakers in that configuration again cause it really sucked a big one.

Went to see Chevelle and 10 Years, however, Cake and Bush turned out to be my favorites. All of the bands were awesome (only saw the main stage acts and 10 Years). The sound quality was excellent and cannot wait to see who will be performing next year. My only other comment is regarding 10 Years, they should have been on the main stage. They are an awesome band and the stage they performed on had a sub-standard sound system. Hope to see them on the main stage in the future.

The sound was honestly not very good from the lawn. It could have been much louder and still not have been too loud for most people (especially the kind of crowd that attends Pointfest). Everything else was pretty good except for the length of Cake's set. I don't know if they were under extra time restraints or what. It seemed like they had one of the shorter sets of the night and they were one of the main bands I went there to see. This was definitely not one of the best concerts I've been to.

My favorites were Cake and The Urge but any one of the bands was worth the cost of the ticket - getting all the other bands is just a bonus!!

the concert was great! however this is the 1st concert in 16 years of going to a TON of concerts i did not spend money on merchandise. Cake didn't even come with any. Bush & The Urge's merchandise was so plain. it did not reflect the personalities of the bands. So instead of spending my normal $100-$200 on merchandise at a concert of this nature with so many bands. I got nothing except money in my pocket to spend on something else.

Just an overall terrible show. Enjoyed the Urge and Cake, but Cake's set was way too short. You will not find me at one of these events again.

Cake put on a good show, but The Urge rocked the house! Not only did they announce that they are BACK but they should have closed the fest out instead of Bush. The crowd gave The Urge the welcome back they deserved!!! AWESOME!!!

The whole day was incredible! The side-by-side side stage set up was a great idea! 10 Years KILLED it and Hurt, Greek Fire were great, too. Middle Class Rut... definitely a studio band. Urge, Chevelle and Bush were insane!

The cost of beverages and food were absolutely ridiculous for an all day event. The cheepest thing to eat was a "cup o fries" at 5.50. Really? Felt very uncomfortable in the parking lot with an over kill of police presence. What is going on that all the cops are needed.
