If you like Louis C.K. or comics like him, you will like this show a lot. If you are easily offended, you probably don't like Louis C. K. but I was surprised at the people getting up and leaving after 15 minutes. The show was awesome and LCK was as funny as he gets. Great material. This is one of the most beautiful theaters in America so that is nice too. So why only 4 stars? None of it the fault of the artists. Due to the ridiculous approach to wanding every single person coming in and starting 45 minutes late and sweltering heat in the balcony, I docked a star. The show ran long enough that we had to leave early to catch our train, If it had started even close to on time, that wouldn't have been a problem. If you are going to wand every single person guys, you need a better system.

Because Louis CK is at the top of the comic game and he also happens to be a rad person, his ticket prices are reasonable and worth every cent. I'm sure he could have done the layout of the Moda Center that seat a lot more people at once (the man sold out Madison Square Garden for Horace and Pete's sake ]) but the Theater of the Clouds was a more intimate space to be spectator to the foremost pro in stand-up. He normalizes bleak, dissonant topics in an almost theraputic hilarity. His mastered, eloquent story telling is delivered with conversational ease. The audience is constantly engaged by every woven train of thought and strategic transgression he takes us on. My side hurt from laughing so hard by the end of it. There were 3 opening acts before him that were all great and I have since looked at more of each of their stuff. And by the way, he looks dashing in his new performance norm attire.

Louis was on my bucket list. Show was amazing. Audience was engaging and enthusiastic .

Was funny and reminded me somewhat of Dane Cook. Would of thought there were enough people to have held this at a nicer bigger venue where you don't have to do general rush seating!

so. Louis CK was my favorite comedian until this show. it was only ok and it just seemed like stream of consciousness, which he's great at, but it just wasn't amazing, only two jokes that were really rememberable. good experience just wish the content was meatier. the other problem was the seats and the camera people. there were at least two jokes where only the people in the floor seats got the joke because it was based on face and body. the camera wasn't zoomed in so no one knew what the face was and then he did something with his legs on another but the camera was too close to his face. didn't seem like they rehearsed, if he doesn't rehearse, the camera people need to be a little better.

What a great show, from begininning to end. The surprise openning acts were great, I have been a fan of Steven Wright since high school, and was shocked when he called his name. Louis was on the mark this night, the one problem I had with his last few shows is he brings up morals of how to raise your kids right etc... I just want to laugh and thats what he did. I am a stand up fan and I have seen and attended many shows, this is one of the few that made me laugh until I cried... Oh and kudos to Louis for keeping tickets reasonable. Even though he would want to slap me for using a word like "kudos"

Best comedy show I've ever been to. To begin, I was shocked by who the openers were. They were amazing and I would love to see them perform again! By the middle of the show my face was hurting since I was laughing and smiling so much. I went to the show with my boyfriend and we were in shock after with happiness. Must see Louis C.K. the next time he's in Chicago.

Louis C.K. is a great performer; I absolutely loved the show and had a great time! The venue was dirty and smelled- but Meh- worth it.

Louis CK was as good as expected, and the comedian who opened was hilarious as well. The Mark G Etess Arena at Taj Mahal is gigantic.

Louie is one of the greatest comedians of our time. The guy not only is amazingly prolific (I think I've seen everything he has done, and I didn't hear one repeated joke all night), but he is also a true creative artist, with a unique perception of what it is to be a man in our time... and he does an amazing job at showing how absurd most of what we do is, being funny as hell at doing it. He kept the the entire theatre laughing for almost two hours. Amazing show. I'll definitively be seeing him again.

Even though the venue seemed a bit overwhelmed getting the people inside, which resulted in the show starting over a half hour late, it was a great show. Louis came bounding out, no opening act and made his own announcements, such as, you can take pictures, just turn off the flash because it really doesn't help and blinds him, and don't post anything on youtube because he wants to put up his own stuff without you laughing in it. He proceeded to carry on for an hour and 20 minutes of non stop mind bending tales of his skewed view of the world. There was no special effects, just him, a spotlight and a microphone, but he captivated every one in the theater. He cam back for another 10 minutes for an encore, and since this guy works on all new material every tour, he told a Baltimore tale without an ending, it shows just how good he is. See this man live, there is no one else better out there working today!

Most of the jokes were about body parts and bodily functions, but we were laughing pretty much non-stop for over an hour!. Well worth the almost $50/ticket price, even though we did have total nosebleed seats in the balcony and I couldn't focus on his face from that distance. Thought it was cool that he didn't mind if you took pics or video, as long as "you're not the d*ck that posts it to YouTube". Would have been nice if there had been a screen overhead so you could see his face up close during the show. I mean, we did go to see him, after all - not just to hear him.

No other pop idol in the media has inspired me and taught me more about life than Louis, it is like I am 21 but I benefit from the wisdom of a 44 year old. I have listened to dozens upon dozens of interviews, and have watched each of his specials at least 9 times each, literally. I know enough to know that the night he spent at DPAC was part of a tour that was probably his best, most intimate and ingenious material. Louis CK is not only a legendary comedian, but a legendary artist. Thank you DPAC, for only $40, I got to witness a part of history.

First off, my face hurt for two days after this show, from laughing so hard. Louis CK (or Louie) is an amazing comedian, down to earth with slightly dark moments that he uses help to illustrate the ironys of life.

One of the best nights of my life. My face hurt from laughing. This was my second time seeing Louis live. I can't wait until the next time!

The venue itself is a circus tent with a circular center stage and rows of seats also set in a circular pattern around the stage. Makes for a great view of the stage from almost any seat and easy movement throughout the grounds. Louis himself is a great comedian and kept me laughing out loud at every joke.

As usual, Louis was hilarious. We were laughing so hard our stomachs hurt! We've watched most of his stand up and shows and it was all new material.

Was a great show, everyone was laughing a lot and having fun for the entire show. His material changes often it seems, which is one of the things I like about him. His opening act, Todd Glass was also great. The crowd really seemed to love the entire show. Would definitely see him again anytime. Also, the Chicago Theater was a great location.

Wasn't one of his best nights. It was funny but he never had me bent over laughing or crying from laughing so hard, which is something that should be expected at a comedy show.

I had a love hate relationship with this guy. He sometimes appears as a comedic genius, but unfortunately he sabatoges with content that is too much over the edge and inappropriate even for the most liberal ears. When he gets inappropriate, it's so sickening that it supersedes anything he did right earlier. I mean come on, talking about looking into your 3 year old daughter's ass? And the stit on abortion? Whether pro-life or pro-choice it was equally disgusting. Sorry but you're just too gross and now I can't even watch you.

Louis CK was hilarious and his opening acts were very good as well. The sound in the theater was a bit muffled and difficult to understand and the drink lines moved very slowly.

I enjoyed the show, but when the line at will call is so long that you miss the opening act - that's a real bummer. There needs to be a better solution for ticket pick-up.

Arrived a half hour early and still missed all the opening acts. Wang center was not prepared to handle the number of will call ticket pick-ups. Waited in a line that wrapped around THREE BLOCKS! Additionally, because of this line, hundreds of people were being seated throughout the first half of Louis C. K.'s set! Very frustrating and completely distracting to his performance.

Louis was very funny, except night was almost ruined waiting until 8:50 for the opening acts to begin when it said 8 PM on ticket. Just be honest with people about the starting times!

Absolutely fantastic and better than I had hoped. Even the openers were great. He's not for the faint of heart, but if you're debating whether seeing him in person is worth it... well, it is!

I am a Louis CK fan; however, when you open your show with the first words about abortion, I really have to wonder about the intent.

Louis C.K. has this awesome ability to create everyday life situations into hysterical, jaw dropping, inappropriate, stomach holding and cheek hurting comedy that NEVER disappoints. We have seen him three times this year and somehow there isnt always major repetitive content. It's quite amazing... I have also brought my two teenage sons, a friend and of course the hubby... They all love him, he makes me lol and hope to see him again... the sooner the better!

What a fun night! Louis C.K. Is hilarious and had me laughing throughout the entire show. There wasn't a bad seat in the place and it was easy to get in and out of the venue. If you ever have the opportunity to see Louis perform live, don't miss it. So good!!!

Love Louis CK and his style of comedy. Maybe it's being a NYer and the events of the day atound MSG, but I was not wowed by the show. Almost seemed like a toned down Dave Attel set from the Cellar. Any who, still love CK, and some other comedians, maybe another name opener, to warm the room up, it is A giant stale arena. I'm available for writing, or marketing...

Louis was in rare form. He took me on a ride that I am still thinking about today. I had a blast and I loved the experience.... made me want to go back into stand up.... lol! He went on for two hours which was nice because you don't want it to end.... you want to hear his perspective on things...you need to for some reason. Life is stressful and hearing someone highlight a new way to see things is what stand up is all about. He made me think about my mother who past last February from cancer. About my kids who I love, but one connects with me a little more then the other...lol..because of selfish reasons. He made me enjoy laughing out loud about inappropriate things.. because the world is so sensitive now... and its fun to get it all out in the open and make fun of all of it.... As in just because someone is transgender they aren't a saint... they can still be less then stellar human being...lol. And when, near the end, how he high-lighted the fact that even though all world cultures and religions are valued... why are we only in the year 2016!?!??! Because the Christians always get their way, haha. I was raised Catholic but I'm not offended by anything..... but it seemed as those others in the audience were like realizing it for the first time..although they knew it but Louis shone a light on it... and everyone was expressing.."oh wow, that;s true...." .lol... because it is true... even in small countries where its not as advanced its still 2016..haha. He was dressed formally and that was a let down for me because I LOVE him in the black t-shirt and black jeans. But my wife and I discussed it on the way home and he needed the jacket for a few jokes later on in his set, so that makes sense. But for me Louis is in a black t-shirt and black or blue jeans. Its a nice middle finger to conventional thinking and society as a whole. I missed that. The seats were a little cramped in the front, as in too close together... the woman to my left is now a part of my marriage...lol.. she was like on top of me... and I grabbed the chubby of a guy to my left because I thought he was my wife.... whoops...lol. And leaving the venue was stressful as people were just bottle-necked and it was a bit concerning... as in if there were ever an emergency...my wife is pregnant and she had to climb up stairs instead of leaving through the first floor as we had seats up front. But otherwise it was fun.. completely. I want to work for Louis... lol... I just love him... I guess everyone does.. that's why he is who he is... he appeals to something in all of us... on every level... the decent.. and the thoughts that you don't always want to admit pop into your head sometimes, haha... Thanks to the venue..MSG! Thanks to Louis and his people... and seriously.... love you Louis... It was a great, GREAT night... And my wife came with me and she is 8 and a half months pregnant... and so we didn't drink and I still had a blast! LOL! Thanks again for letting me waste your time in this review...lol!

I have seen Louis CK's specials every year for the last 3 years, and they just get better and better every time. The man is a genius!

When we went, they had 3 hilarious comedians warm up the audience- I thought that was Louis being lazy and eating up the time of his standup... but when he came out I shrieked like a little school girl and was 100% entertained from the second he walked in to the second he walked out. He didn't skimp on content either, when ever I thought he was done, he wasn't, and that's what I loved. Also, we had pretty terrible seats- and it was still a great fuckin time. Would recommend to anyone who loves having a good time!

If you enjoy Louis' particular brand of humor, like I do, you must see him live! This is the third time I have seen Louis CK and the third time I have laughed until I cried. Louis has some taboo jokes that make him even more enjoyable. This time he also had three short openers, that all were great! Fun, fun night!

The show was about an hour and a half and had three comedians in front of him. He did not dissapoint. Everything that man does makes me laugh so hard at one point I was in tears. Can't wait until the next time he comes to Houston.

As a fan of Louis I can say this is as great a show as he has ever done. Of course it was all new material, and he was as offensive as hell. His set was tight and had plenty of his groanworthy segues that he is so good at. Louis really put on a great show, too. Great energy and he really played the crowd well. Seeing that it was a Sold Out 8000 seat arena, that is no small feat. I have seen all his specials, but seeing him live really was a fun time. Comedy at this level live is a memorable experience! Todd Glass was also funny as sh!t!

Louis C.K is the funniest comedian on the face of the planet! He always says what everyone is thinking. How does he do that? I was surprised to see he would be playing at this type of "hall" but it didn't take long to forget you were surrounded by thousands of people. Louis has a knack of getting your mind off yourself and that was a welcome distraction. His warm- up acts were funny as well. His first jokes regarding naps were right on the money and since I'd already spoken about taking a nap just moments earlier, I felt we were kindred spirits! I would love to see this show again and again!!

When you have 3 comedians go on before you (two of which were really pretty good), then you just blow them away, you've hit your stride. It was honestly like watching minor league baseball versus the pros. Louis has great timing and wit, is fast on his feet, and is a master storyteller. He's the best comedian out there for my money, and speaking of which, he doesn't charge much. 9 rows from the stage for $70 a ticket?? My wife and I LOVED it!

Every joke was new material but typically edgy and funny. We all cringed over abortion solutions but basically that is how it it and Louis doesn't mince his words.

This was on my bucket list - when I heard Louis CK would be in a town 30 mins away from me, I grabbed a ticket. My seat was therefore great. I laughed one hour and 45 minutes straight. Glad I did it. He is a funny funny funny guy.

Besides the amazing theatre this is, we had a great introduction by the comedian Michelle Wolf. Then Louis C.K. appeared on the stage suited and that's all I can say. No spoilers. Really funny. He showed why he is one of the best creators nowdays. Amazing.

Louis is great. It was a great show but afterwards I realized I need to see his face. Our seats were way far up in the balcony so from where I sat all I could see is his body. He had a suit and tie on which is not what I usually see him wearing. So from that far up he looked like Billy Joel in a suit but sounded like Louie. I hope this show will be recorded so I can watch it again and see his face. Also I think this show was a little rated G for him. But no matter, I love him so much. He really is the best comedian in my eyes.

My first live Louis CK show did not disappoint!! Sunday night was a weird time to go to the infamous Forum, ha was at Golden Globes earlier and came over as soon as he did Not win an award! He really does do new material or at least a different version of some of his classic jokes/stories on every show! Rat orgasms, the "bat-man", death and kids, all great stuff!!!!

I surprised my fiance with these tickets as an anniversary gift. We both love FX's Louie and have seen most of C.K.'S specials, his jokes have literally become a part of our vernacular. Normally I don't write reviews for concerts or shows. The fact that I'm attending a specific event reflects my feelings about that particular act or individual, unless I was disappointed. Louis C.K. did not disappoint. He delivered above and beyond our expectations. He had us in stitches BEFORE he even walked onto the stage until hours afterwards, hell even days afterwards. I would watch this same exact set again and laugh just as hard as the first time, and I plan to rewatch it when it's released as a special. I feel incredibly lucky that our show wasn't the one canceled by the snow storm and actually feel extremely bad for the people that are missing out. I believe Louis C.K. has become the undisputed king of comedy, but what do I know, I'm just a girl that laughs at ridiculously vile and shockingly sincere humor.

This was the 2nd of 3 self promoted sold out shows at Madison Square Garden for Louie in January. The place was rocking! The show was hilarious. Opener Todd Barry service up the night with a lot of laughs, and then Louis CK killed it!

Fantastic performance! Louis C.K. and the two other acts were great! Not so good: evening mid-week performances, in my opinion, should start on-time. It is inconsiderate to start the performance 40 min late when most people have to go to work the next day. Weekend is a different story... A constant cell-phone patrolling: I understand the need for that, but should be done differently. There is performance going-on on stage! Why do I have to watch a tall dude slowly walking right in front of my face? I didn't pay 50 bucks to look at some security guy.

This may have been Louis CK at his best. Saw him when he played Symphony Hall a few years back and that seemed like a mellow performance. This ripped the suppository out right from the get go. If you love his humor you know that raw subjects, taboo subjects are going to come up. You know he'll say things that make you not want to laugh, but have to. Not because he's being mean spirited towards a group, a feeling, but because he does it such a disarming, 'inside voice' kind of way. An opening 20 minutes on abortion, killing yourself. Laugh out loud funny. No politics in this show. THe abortion piece was as close as it got. But got the feeling that Louis, as well as the opening acts, went out of the way to spare the crowd from the outside world and the drumbeat of US political circus. One piece of criticism and I dont know if this lies with the venue and the artist or just one of them. There was an outright cell phone ban from the minute you stepped into the theater. Couldnt have them out before the show started. I'm fine with having people put them away during the show. But seemed overly draconian. These days a check-in or a shot of the theater filling or a selfie with the empty stage setup for the artist are kind of derigeur for a growing percentage of show goers. Didnt spoil the show, but made it felt like i was back in primary school before the show every time the ushers rushed over to someone whether taking a photo, writing a text or whatever, while the house lights were still up and Led Zeppellin were blasting thru the speakers.

Louis CK has never disappointed me. He is absolutely hilarious! If you have never seen any of his stand up before and are easily offended, then he may not be the comedian for you. But he doesn't discriminate and offend just a few people, He pushes all boundaries and offends every race, culture, religion, sexual orientation, political views and gender equally. No one gets left out. And it is FUNNY! Tears running down your face funny! Enjoy!

Logistics clearly are not Boch Center's strong suit. With how Louis does his shows, trying to limit resales and keep ticket prices lower, he sets it up so that most people will do will call and pick up tickets the day of the show. However, the Wang theatre was not ready for this... Stood in line for about an hour and missed the opener and possibly 10 - 15 minutes of Louis. Was really upset for how under prepared they were for the volume and the fact that no one delayed the show a bit to get more people into the theatre first. Louis was great and funny. Wang Theatre almost everything by how poorly they are managed. Louis was able to bring it back though by pure genius in jokes. Go see Louis. Avoid the Wang Theatre

Have seen Louie before. He's done well but he's not as funny. I laughed about 30% of the time but he was really off color most of the time. Not a comfortable "Valentines Night" with date.

Louis CK is amazing, i took my wife on Thursday night to Long Beach where he was performing and we had the best time. If you haven't seen Louis CK I strongly recommend that you go see him, it's an unforgettable experience!

Love Louis CK. I think we've seen every special over the past 10 years, every episode of Louie, Horace & Pete, tons of online clips, interviews, and many of his older taped shows too. Yup, I'm a fan. This is the second time we've seen him live, at the beginning of this tour in Oxnard, CA and now at the end here in Long Beach. I'd say the material is on par with most of his taped specials in terms of quality. Louis has ditched the jeans & t-shirts in favor of the suit & tie thing as of late....perhaps Letterman got under his skin...? Material was maybe 50% what he did at the start of the tour, or at least as far as we remembered, and then the rest (possibly the first 20-30 min, and the encore material) was all new. Or maybe the same material was given a fresh twist to make it seem different. At any rate, it was a great show with many funny moments. I think my biggest disappointment is that Louis abandoned the tickets sold direct from his website and resigned to using Ticketmaster. He's made quite a big deal about cutting out the middle man in the past and keeping his prices down. While these weren't ridiculously high prices, they were higher than the much better seats we had in Oxnard. Also, Louis is starting to really shove his political views on us...and while I don't offend easily - despite disagreeing with him on several points, I could do without it. Hasn't lost me as a fan, but it does rub me a bit. Louis has a masterful way of playing both sides of taboo topics, which is one of the reasons I love him, but when he does take sides and make his (leftist) points of view, or his disdain for Trump voters (or those who chose not to vote) clearly known, I feel he loses some of his audience. Despite this, Louie is still the king of comedy and the man has kept me laughing longer than anyone else.

Not nearly as good as "Oh My God". I saw that one performed at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix on HBO and it is what made me want to see his latest performance. I loved the tan car bit but the rest was overdone, heard it before kind of stuff. He must be tired and spread too thin. I left before the show as over, did not see it getting any better.

Started around 20 minutes late. Theater lighting and audio was great. Louie was hilarious as usual!

Louis keeps it real and doesn't disappoint. Just enjoy the ride.

Hands down the best comedy show that I have ever gone to. I am a big fan of Louis CK and had pretty high expectations and he definitely did not disappoint. My cheeks still hurt from smiling and laughing all night! This set was so funny that I cannot wait for him to record and release the special so that I can watch it all over again!

The show was hilarious! I laughed so hard my cheeks were hurting after the show. It was awesome!

When we entered there was a strict order of no cell phones (which was understandable given the distraction and taping of shows). That was fine, and a little time off line would be okay. However the show was supposed to start at 8 and ended up not starting till 8:45. We arrived at 7:30 because the venue emailed patrons to arrive early, and had to wait a long time for the show to start and still couldn't use our cells. A minor quibble but still a quibble. Then after the extra 45 min wait, he had 3 opening comics none of which were funny. Thankfully their sets were short. When the headliner finally arrived, he opened with a 15 min bit on abortion. There are enough divisive issues in the world, and I come to a comedy show for comedy. The material was political instead of humorous and started the show on a bad note. Look I know Louie is edgy, but again I come to a comedy show for humor not political leanings. He did have some ok material. I have seen him a few times and he was much funnier. I guess with this being his second of 3 nights he kind of phoned it in.

He is so sharp, edgy, thoughtful. So much smartness and humanity. And so fun in same time. Laughs on laughs. So professional.

The event page said 8:00. At 7:30 I got in the massive line outside. The line didn't start moving until well past 8:30. I got in after 9:00. Again, I was not late. I was in line before doors opened. By the time I got inside I could hear Louis CK performing. I was heartbroken. I couldn't believe that I missed not only the opening acts, but a significant chunk of the headliner's set. How is that acceptable? So many people missed part of what they paid for, and it's completely the fault of the Wang Theatre. I will never attend an event there again.
