Teen Choice Awards

The venue, staging and flow of event was good, and nice to experience a live L.A. awards show firsthand. However, very few celebrities showed up and the only A-list stars were Kobe Bryant and Justin Timberlake because one was presenting and the other was getting a major award. They didn't even announce a bunch of nominees and it was clear that the winners knew they had won and that's why they were there. The YouTube personalities were very friendly in terms of posing with fans but they are "regular folks" so the attention they received was probably as exciting for them as the fans. The network bussed in "fans" to help fill the main floor, so all those folks you saw on TV surrounding the stage were "extras." Just felt very "canned" but the musical guests were good and nice seeing it all unfold.

I brought my teenage daughter and her friend to the Teen Choice Awards and they had an absolute blast!! They now have a great memory together. They loved all the musicians and enjoyed listening to the motivational message by Justin Timberlake and seeing in person Jessica Alba send out the message to stop gun violence with some of the family members who lost their loved ones in the recent acts of gun violence. I cried and I am sure it was a message that touched a lot of people there. My teens are still talking about the Teen Choice Awards!!!!

This year it was at the Shrine auditorium due to some inconvenience BUT it was still amazing. In fact it was better than last year. Definitely going again but this time I want seats closer to my fav celebs.

wow this was so much fun. my seats were right by where the stars came out from backstage. i got pictures with many of them. i also got pics of everyone on stage. all seats in that place are good. stars walk down the aisles, infront of them, they go get food. just keep your eyes open cause they are always somewhere. it was a great experience. i would so go again

It was so fun to see so many stars at one time for such an awesome ticket price.I don't think there is a bad seat in the house.Tons of energy and fun!!

I bought tickets as a birthday gift for my 12 year old daughter. She loved it! It was so fun to see the behind the scenes of the making of an award show & of course seeing all the celebrities was so exciting for her! We'll probably go again next year!

Katy Perry was a great host. Her performance, Jason DeRulo, Bruno Mars, Travis McCoy, and Diddy's all were excellent; as well as the Step Up 3D dance rouotine. The only bad part was that the Teen Choice made seem like people like Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber were going to be there and he was going to really perform when really that was not true at all. It really did not please the crowd when they all found out that it was a recording. But overall it was really cool being in the same place as hundreds of celebrities. The effects and staging was really nice as well.

it was amazing ! i got to sit next to the cast of Pretty Little Liars ! all the guys at least :D

Awesome time, my daughter and her friend couldn't stay in their seats, were excited the whole time w/ the celebrity sightings it was priceless to see them so happy.

Excellent Show. Overall, I enjoyed the show with my three children and they enjoyed it very much.

With all these teens and parents paying for this event, there should have been many more opportunities for the teens to have cute back drops and other photo experiences.!

My daughter and I enjoyed the show. It was fun to see so many celebrities in one place. I thought is was great that they spent some time honoring all of the teens and people affected by the latest terrorist and police related shootings. It is so important to not overlook this. The only complaint I have is it took us 50 minutes to get into the parking lot at The Forum and another 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot.

What a terrible show. Breaks constantly, being told when to clap and when to boo. You basically pay for tickets not to be entertained but to be an audience with the only benefit for the money you paid is for them to look good on tv. I will never ever buy tickets to this again. Wish I could get a refund.

Took my girls and they had so much fun seeing some of their favorite celebrities. Highlight was Kobe presenting the Decade Award to Justin Timberlake! Musical performances were great too! My girls loved seeing Charlie Puth, Florida Rida, and Ne-Yo

My daughter & i had a blast! It was like 1 big con cert-we saw so many of our favorite artists! We will make it an annual thing to do together & bring friends next time too!!!

Its was amazing,and i truly enjoyed it.The Teen Choice Awards are just amazing to spend with your family.Seeing Jason Derulo and meeting all the dancers was beautiful as well as Demi Lovato and David Lambert

The BEST experience EEVVEERR!!! A lot of the singers were great!!

The event was good but the venue change and reassignment of seats was horrible. Someone lost 2 of my tickets and no one would give me my money back or 2 new tickets. Total headache and really ruined the event for me.

I had a wonderful time and loved all the performances! Except in the past the show itself has been better at giving our a variety of awards. This time it felt like it was all over the place. The hosts were great too!

The event itself was amazing! We enjoyed the music acts and all the celebrities there! I was very disappointed that a big tent was put up cutting off the ticket holders from seeing the celebrities walk the blue carpet in. People who had not purchased a ticket was able to watch it but we were not.

The event was so unorganized and we were asked to be seated in any available seat! When asking someone for help nothing is done to solve the issue! All that mattered is how it looked on tv! The only best thing about the event is the closing performance by Jason Derulo!

SOOO MUCH FUN I went last year 2013 and im going again this year it was a night SO MANY STARS!!!!

The show was amazing, everyone who entertained were very professional, the organization and security very appropriate. I would have liked to see the red carpet, everything was very nice. I recommend that if parents of teenagers have the opportunity to bring their children, do it, is a very good experience, and they will thank you forever!!!!

I took my lil sister to the show thinking it wud be something different & OMG we will be back next yr. Watching it live just doesn't compare to anything else.

Bring the Red Carpet to the Fans other then that the show was amazing!

This was our first time going to California and to the teen choice awards. I took my 11yr old daughter. I as a parent also enjoyed the entertanment. I would definatley take my daughter again in the near future.

the show was good; if we did not have backstages it would not have been good. the stars really did not inteact with the people like the kids choice awards show. there were no programs and they should have given keychains to everyone or some kind of memory. or they could have sold t-shirt ect. that you could only buy at the show

The 2011 Teen Choice Awards were fantastic. The production ran perfectly. As an audience member it was very exciting to see how the taping of a show really works. It was a LIVE show, so everything was in real time. No down time for changes in lighting, or re-doing something. The variety and range of celebrities in attendance was very impressive. My 16 year old was in heaven!

Last year was much better, a lot more organized. Security was rude to my 10 year old daughter, as she brought a bill board to root her favorite celebrity. I do intend to go next year, as my daughter enjoys the fact that she can be close to celebrities.

The Teen Choice awards was billed at the ultimate Teen Experience. The show was little more than a commercial for each one of the stars there to promote their' movies, shows or albums. The live acts came across as fill in acts for the likes of performers like Bruno Mars who was a no-show. Even Selena Gomez's (who I adore) performance seemed phoned in and the song choice was atrocious. The Host was a horrible nobody making you ask who is that again? What was with the ping-pong table? The stars that did collect their' award of a surfboard, a rip off of the Kid's Choice Awards prize put on by Nickelodeon, seemed like they couldn't wait to get the heck out of there. This show was an embarrassment and I will never attend again with my kids. This event gets negative zero stars!
