Engelbert Humperdinck

This was the second time I got to see Engelbert the first Time was in Hawaii years ago . He still puts on a great show.

His voice is marvelous, he is humorous and a wonderful entertainer. Worth every penny and more.

As a fan, I really enjoyed his performance. Throughout the show, however, he frequently did not project his voice enough, and the music drowned him out. I heard a person behind me make the same comment. I would recommend the show to a fellow fan but not to anyone who's not.

And a wonderful night it was at the South Shore Music Circus Sunday night. The weather was perfect, for a change, and Engelbert was in fine form. After 43 years of singing, he still can hit those notes like no one else and sounded, to borrow one of his song titles, "Totally Amazing". He moved around that stage like a singer half his age, joked around and brought a lucky lady up on stage, as he has done for many years, and sang to "just her"-a comic effect was that she was holding up a cue card he handed her so he could read the lyrics and then proceeded to sit on her lap while singing and holding the cue card, which may or may not have been a shock or delight to her!! She was then awarded with a kiss and a signature red handkerchief. Long live the King of Romance! The set was a good mix of songs with some old favorites (the sing along ones, amount them The Last Waltz, Man Without Love), some new from upcoming CD's Legacy of Love, A Taste of Country and Eternally. He did a great job on the Springsteen tune "I'm on Fire" with a country twist, complete with cowboy hat and some smooth dancing steps. Toward the end of the night, he sang Release Me, which is always inluded in the set, and ended with My Way. Then the night ended, too soon for me, and I await his return next year.

I have been a fan for as long as I can remember. My mom was a huge fan so I grew up with englebert.. Finally I was able to attend a show and I cannot find the words to explain how amazing it was.. His voice and choice of songs were incredible....I left in such an upbeat mood...I only hope that I will be able to see him perform again..

NEVER think twice about seeing Englebert. Awesome......

better than expected, a nice way to spend a summer evening

I was not disappointed, Engelbert was exactly what I expected. Funny, professional, and still a great voice! He even composed himself when a group of four ladies arrived very late to their front row seats, disrupting things a bit, he gave them an irritated glance for a split second and then continued being perfect. Performer...perfect. Venue...not so much. Actually the only thing I didn't understand is why late comers were allowed to be seated instead of being made to wait at least until the song was over. Any other intimate venue like that would have made these late comers wait. I loved the fact that Engelbert made light of his age, it was refreshing...and did I mention that I was not one bit disappointed, I even caught one of his red, cologne soaked, engraved hankies, very cool.

He was great still has an amazing voice the only thing I could see wrong were at times the band especially the drummer was so loud you could not hear him sing opening act everyone in the audience had bad remarks for she was awful

the seats were wonderful, and he put on an awesome show. we've seen him several times, and each time he gets better.

OUR FAMILY HAS FOLLOWED ENGELBERT FOR 20 YEARS - HE WAS OUTSTANDING AND WE HOPE YOU INVITE HIM BACK NEXT YEAR!!

Engelbert has not lost that special ability to entertain his audience His voice is stronger today then ever. In my book he is Totally Amazing.

Although we love Englebert, there were a few songs were he was out of tune and I could not help but cringe in my seat. It was a shame as I still remember his greatness. Also, his "act" with the audience does not look seductive anymore. Because of his age, it looks so wrong - like kissing your grandfather. however, please don't get me wrong - for his age, he is still amazing - I just don't think the show is worth 60.00 per ticket anymore.

I thought Engelbert was great! I've seen him a few times. I never get tired of watching him & hear his singing. He's still got it!!!

O my I did not sleep a wink after seeing the show. Engelbert is the greatest perfomer that I have seen. I wish i could see him every night.................

Show was excellent!at his age he still has "it"!! Great song choices, the back up singers were amazing!! Provided real entertainment!

WOW is all I can say, seems as if concert was sold out, lively crown. I read in Newsday that Engelbert will turn 75 on monday 5/2/11, well his age is not getting in the way of his performance & moves! Attended with my Sister & good friend and we had a blast! Engelbert is not really a normal choice for me, just grew up listening to him as he was my Mothers favorite, thought it would be fun to see him again as I had seen him around 15 years ago at this same venue. He was very entertaining, told a few jokes. All in all a great show at a great venue! Loved the part when he brought an audience memeber on stage to sing to her! (BTW is she reads this I have pics!)

For my 50th birthday, I went to see Enge, seatted in the first row, I got up on stage, saw eye to eye and kiss the man I love for the last 30 years or so...I am still on a cloud !!! I will see him again next may at the Turning Stone resort... for his 75th birthday, Can't wait !

Englebert was bettter than ever. He added some great songs to his act to keep it new and fresh. He is one of the last great Crooners.

I TOOK MY MOM FOR MOTHER'S DAY BECAUSE HE WAS KIND OF BEFORE MY TIME, BUT I WAS VERY SURPRISED AT HOW MUCH I ENJOYED THE SHOW, AND HOW MANY SONGS I KNEW! HE WAS REALLY REALLY A GOOD PERFORMER, HIS VOICE IS AMAZING!!!!

Engelbert proved he is still "The King of Romance" before a packed house. Looking trim and younger [with brown hair] than in previous years, he still has the voice, humor, and moves for a man almost 74 years young. Enge pleased the crowd with his well known standards and also a few surprises. I recommend his show and anyone else from the genre when an entertainer had to have REAL talent and did not rely on electronics, soundboards, and dancers to make them look / sound better.

A classic singer at the age of 73, Engelbert's talent reveals the experience of a lifetime and deserves being in the company of the likes of Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Tom Jones or Paul McCartney.

Fantastic show, I am not an Engelbert fan, I didn't even want to be there, however, my mother (81) loves him and always wanted to see him, so how could I not bring her. He has an amazing voice, very talented man, he has a great band and a great stage presence. I can not believe that he is 72. I have to admit that I enjoyed the concert.

ENGLEBERT HAS NOT MISSED A BEAT I WENT WITH LOW EXPECTATIONS AS HE IS NOW 82 YEARS OLD ( HE WAS 81 AT THE TIME OF CONCERT) BUT DESPITE HIS AGE HE STILL PUTS ON A GREAT SHOW RECOMEND YOU SEE HIM WHILE YOU STILL CAN YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID.

Fantastic Show. See him every time he comes to town. Love the venue.....especially prices.! Very intimate venue.

The concert was as expected. His hits were awesome, his commentary and conversations with the audience were funny and enjoyable.

First time my husband and I have seen Engelbert in concert but have loved his music since the 80's, He is a wonderful entertainer and still has the charisma and charm as in his younger day. His voice is as powerful as ever and would gladly see him perform again.

Engelbert will be 82 in two weeks. You sure wouldn't know it if you were at his show in Joliet this past weekend. He doesn't look his age, he voice is still strong and this guy can dance. His backup singers/dancers were fantastic as were the band. Great performance.

If this is what being 81 is like, take me there--immediately! For 90 straight minutes on Saturday night at the Rialto, Engelbert Humperdinck commanded a full house of Humpy fans with songs he's been singing on stage for 51 years. But it wasn't only the "oldies but goodies" that Engelbert offered up to his legion of adoring fans. He's got a new album coming out and he sang the cover song called "The Man I want to Be," quite a musical statement to make for someone old enough to be a great-grandfather. He If you're a fan of Vegas style entertainment, you'd love the show this classic performer puts on. His voice is still velvety smooth and deep, just sin case you have any doubts on that front. And, oh, by the way, I can't wait to hear When Engelbert and his 9-year old granddaughter perform on stage together.

What an awesome show! Engelbert is such an entertainer! We don't have show's like this anymore! The band was just perfect! Sound was great, his voice was just awesome! He gave it his all! Will love to see him again! You don't want to miss his show! New album sounds great!! The duet with his grand daughter was really incredible! Backup singers were the icing on the cake, they were sooo good!!

He put on a great performance. A nice variety of songs and good volume. Interacted with the audience .

Expected the nostalgia and pleasantry of familiar songs, but not the freshness and energy of the performance I saw at Rialto Theater in Joliet on 4/21. Englebert Humperdinck and team delivered a first rate show....familiar songs but also NEW (Bruno Mars cover!). E engaged the audience with reminiscence and humor. Use of film clips added variety. The duet with his granddaughter via video was inspired. Audience wouldn't let him go easily....standing ovations brought him back repeatedly. Well worth the ticket price!

Just saying for an 80 year old he sure can sing & hold the notes very well!

The show was absolutely tremendous. I hadn't seen Engelbert, in AC, in five years. I really missed him there. I'm looking forward to seeing him there, again, the next time he's in AC. I really liked the screen where he was shown with Dean Martin, in the early days. That was hysterically funny. The songs, from the new CD were fantastic. I've been a fan since I was ten, and I' love him more and more each year. Excellent, excellent show!

Great cadence to the show. Engelbert was in fine voice, had a warm and personable connection with the crowd and went down with much nostalgia memory lane without being over the top. The band was a very precise accompaniment to the music that was Engelbert's own. Would definitely see him again!

Englebert Humperdink put on a fabulous concert at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. on April 15, 2018. His voice is rich and he brings his now half-century of favorites to life with love. He shares his carefully guarded family with us, including the spectacular talent of his young granddaughter via beautifully edited films. His band is an exquisite talent every one, and his backup singers lovely. You can be "50 years ago" for just one night. The only concern is that the venue let some rowdy ignorant fans get too close and he, generous of heart, felt compelled to shake way too many hands. He finally did stand up and back away, nicely. I hope other venues will protect this talented and composed artist better. A wonderful show, you will love it!

That man is outstanding!!! A friend of mine had him on her bucket list and got to see him on Saturday at the Golden Nugget she said she was hooked. She could not believe his voice and how great he was.

The show was superior. The lighting was excellent and the sound was great. I just wish your seats were more "bleacher" like, not the benches but in tiers. It was hard to see if you had someone tall in front of you like we did. Englebert Humperdinck is one fantastic performer. He still has his moves, his humor and beautiful voice. He had a lot of us in tears with his tribute to his wife and when he had his granddaughter sing. I have every CD, record, etc he ever made. I also have his autobiography and many pictures. I wish I could get earlier notice when he will be there, I want to get the best seats in front. The only thing that bothered me was that girl rubbing his leg. He told her no with his finger and she kept doing it. That is invading his private space and shouldn't be allowed.

We thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Some of the songs I had forgotten but the majority of them brought back many happy memories. I was happy we ventured out to see the show.

ENGLEBERT CERTAINLY DIDN'T DISAPPOINT HIS AUDIENCE. HE PUT ON A GREAT CONCERT IN FRONT OF A PACKED HOUSE. PLAYED ALL OF HIS OLD TIME HITS, ALONG WITH SOME NEW SONGS FROM HIS NEW ALBUM. HIS 9 YEAR OLD GRAND DAUGHTER HAS A GREAT VOICE AS WELL.

Engelbert is truly the King of Romance! The love and appreciation he has for us fans is shown in every song he sings. He engages the audience, talks to us, lets us sing with him. And his voice.... as Beautiful and Powerful as ever!!! I never miss a chance to see his show whenever he's near me. The GOLDEN NUGGET on the other hand is HORRIBLE! Shabby showroom with banquet chairs???? Not a place to see anyone, let alone a world-class entertainer! Only for Enge would I ever go back there.

Great venue, with an excellent acoustic, not too loud, not too shallow. And Mr. Humperdinck did a great show, mixing good humor with great songs, highly recommended.

This was my first time seeing E. H. and let me tell you, it was such a wonderful night of music. Listening to him sing and his voice, along with all his great his, was such a wonderful experience. He puts on a great show a truly shows his appreciation of the people, being a singer and asked to perform for us. God Bless you Engelbert!

I was skeptical when I got these tickets for my wife. I am so happy I did. She loved the show as did I. Englebert's voice is still beautiful and strong. He puts on an "old school" show that's fun and entertaining. It really brought back some childhood memories from our black and white tv as well as later years. Amazing he is still going strong and putting on a quality show at 80. He looks fifty at most. Thank you Hard Rock Casino. Thank you Englebert!

80 years old and still going strong. His voice was still amazing and the years have been kind to him. He has a genuine goodness about him - a charming man. Cannot say enough good about this concert.

Engelbert is still a vocal powerhouse in his late 70s. He sings his hits and still gives his all in energy and emotion. The fans responded in kind with plenty of applause and "I love yous."

My Mom who is 90 and I sat 5 rows from the stage. Engelbert still has the amazing voice, dance moves, and wonderful sense of humor. And, he's still very sexy! Hope to go to another concert soon.

Engelbert Humperdinck still has all of the humor and fun of his youth. It was so much fun hearing all of his hits, along with some current songs, too. He even still has the moves and the ladies were still flocking to the stage. I took my mother and sister to see this concert, and we all had the most wonderful time. Thanks Engelbert for coming back to the ATL!

The Engelbert Humperdinck concert at Bayou Music Center was incredible. The King of Romance continues to captivate his audiences with his fabulous voice. He is not just an unforgetable singer, but the total entertainer. His "Engelbert Calling" duets CD is a compulation of legendary artists that joined him to create this wonderful CD. He includes the voices of two greats (Sir Elton John and Willie Nelson) in his show. Engelbert, we will never "release" you!

This was, I think, the 6th time I've seen Engie over the years. He's as good as ever as sexy and romanticas ever; just puts me in a trance. Never, ever get tired of hearing him. Thank god for the cd player in the car. Engie, stay healthy and sing forever !!!

One of the best live acts that I have seen. Incredible show!!! Englebert even told a few jokes and used video clips of flashbacks throughout his career. He is a living legend as is Tom Jones and Neil Diamond. He is my favorite living crooner/vocalist entertainer since Elvis is no longer with us. Engelbert rocks at 77 years old!!!

I do prefer a small venue. This theater is huge. The screens seemed fuzzy during live shots. The sound system was excellent. My friend and I have been going to see Engelbert since the 70 's

Enge is full of energy and his voice is amazing! His comedic side is present and dance moves are fun and entertaining. It's hard to believe this amazing performer is almost 78 yrs. old.

This was my first concert of Humperdinck's and I have to say I was impressed. He effortlessly, yet engagingly rolled through a 90 minute set of songs old and new. While his voice has aged some, it still remains strong and clear. He interacted with the band, and the audience, in a very good natured, joking way. The clips shown from years gone by, particularly the one with Dean Martin is very touching. Mr. Humperdinck is still a class act. Don't miss him if he's in your area.

Engelbert was personable, funny, engaging and still is an amazing singer.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamt of the day that I would be able to see Engelbert Humperdinck in person. Well it may have taken nearly 50 years, but my dream came through on November 5, 2013 in Rockford Illinois. I was the happiest person in the world! As we got near the theater, I could feel the excitement mounting. Seeing his name in lights, and knowing that I was about to see this amazing man, my emotions ran crazy. As we sat and awaited his entry, I could feel my heart beating faster, and faster. The voice came on and announced his presence...I lost it! I cried my heart out! I was here, I was finally going to see my Idol. I knew and sang along to every song he sang, and was in total awe. Near the end of the evening, I found myself out of my seat, and at the stage front, looking up at this man, and thanking God for giving me the opportunity to see him perform. I almost felt like one of those crazed fans...hahaha, but I behaved myself. On our way home, I told my husband "if I should die tomorrow, I'd die one very HAPPY girl". Thank you E.H. for sharing your love and talent with the world. May God continue to bless you, and keep you in his loving care. Your Biggest Fan Ever!

I Liked The Sound System And The Side Screens. Engelbert Warmed Up After 10 Min. And Performed His Show As I Was Expecting. He Had Many Standing Ovations.I left With A Warmth In My Heart, Just To Know That At 76 You Can Still Prove Them Wrong. He Can Still Sing And Is Humbled By His audience. I Will Return.Us

A true vocalist ! A long lost art! Funny, well directed, great length. Lived that there was no intermission. Played extremely well to his audience. Wonderfully gracious and thankful to his fans......& quite handsome as ever!

At age 77, Englebert Humperdinck could be forgiven if he just showed up and sang a few of his hits. With over 180 million records sold, the continental Englishman would please audience if he was just a tenth as good as in his prime. Imagine our joy when he bounded onto the stage with an energy of a man in his 40s. Charming the audience with his self-deprecating humor and his candor, Engelbert pulled out the stops and sang (and danced!) for nearly two hours. His voice has lost none of its power and range, and he simply turns back time. It's not Engelbert at 77 on that stage, it's ageless, timeless Engelbert Humperdinck. With a brilliant 8 piece band and two background singers, Engelbert performed his biggest hits and then some current songs. The show-stopper was Neil Sedaka's "The Hungry Years," which was brilliant. We had never seen Engelbert Humperdinck live and we're glad we did. He simply is the last of the best of the consummate entertainers.

I enjoyed the show from beginning to end. Engelbert has not lost his touch. His voice is as good as ever. I'm not an emotional person, but some of his songs brought tears to my eyes.

It was an amazing concert. He joked and included the audience in his performance. I had an good seat for the price, what i didn't lile was nearing the end people from the back came up to take picture and were blocking mine and other peoples view(L17 was my seat). I had to ask them to move so myself and an elderly ladysitting behind me could see Englebert otherwise the hoards of people blocking our view it was a memorable concert

Engelbert is a real showman combining humor with good music. He has three generation of women following him. Excellent band and backup singers. Enjoyed the night. Tickets worth every cent we paid. San Manuel has a nice showroom and look forward to attending more concerts there. NICE WIDE AISLES WITH LOTS OF LEG ROOM.

Though there was a glitch with the opening video clip (no sound), the band quickly struck up an intro as Engelbert quietly walked on stage. He was in fine form - looked amazing, sounded great, and delivered a captivating performance with a mix of his well-known standards and some new material. He delighted the audience with his impressions of Tom Jones and Dean Martin and his wonderful sense of humor throughout the show. A highlight of the evening was the song Love Will Set You Free - the song he will be singing as the UK entry in the 2012 Eurovision song contest May 26th. Fans clamored for one of his famous red hankies, a hand shake, or an autograph at the show's end, and he didn't disappoint. An evening well spent!

A great start to his 2012 tour! Engelbert was in fine form - looked amazing, sounded great, and delivered a captivating 90 minute performance. The show was a nice mix of old and new, contemporary, romantic, and country with plenty of dancing (yes, he still has the moves!), and audience participation. Videos on big screens provided fans a glimpse of Enge throughout the years. His delightful sense of humor was evident in his Dean Martin imitations, varied jokes/comments, his well known/much anticipated "lap dance", "robe time", and his signature hankie throws. A phenomenal entertainer; a most enjoyable evening which ended way too soon.

First I did not what to expect, is he still a great singer. Well guys, I can tell you his is. What a great night I had. Beautifull songs and great interaction with the audience. I'm very pleased I have seen this man sing once in my life!

The show was fabulous. It's an intimate room and very nice. Englebert hasn't lost his voice at all. I would definitely go see him again. He was funny and very entertaining and kept the audience involved with singing with him. Seems very nice. However they have a security guard stationed right off the stage who obviously has no job to do. We had a very drunk woman in front of us who continued to drink since they had a bar. She was loud and obnoxious during the concert. The person with her tried to calm her down to no avail. She yelled out derogatory comments and the security guard did nothing. People were shushing her but she was nasty. With the guard there witnessing everything she should have been escorted out. My only complaint.

Had the time of our lives. EH is the best!!! He proves the saying age is just a number . My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed his show. Every song is sang live and he was oh so funny! We loved every minute of it. Definitely recommend you go see the legend in person.

Englebert was amazing at 81years of age but the venue was disappointing. The audio was tinney and at times too loud!!!.That was disappointing!!!

He was incredible! I had been very sick in the hospital last year (10/15/16) and I could not go to see him. Gave my ticket away to a friend, who raved about it. This year (10/15/17) I was not going to miss it . It was emotional for me because I listened to him since I was a young child in the late '60's. A truly wonderful show and his voice was perfect!

Engelbert was excellent. A few off keys, but you could see the emotion in a few songs that chocked him up (he said he was singing about his wife). He still has the moves and his sold out crowd cheered him on and rushed the stage at the end of his concert. A typical ending to an excellent show!!!

The backing band were excellent - everyone a top musician. As for the "star" - flat notes, egocentric behaviour, milked the sentimentality, not a pleasant experience. Made nasty comments about Tom Jones who is still a superstar. As for the "sexy" moves - really!!!! Needs to sharpen up the act if that is possible!

This concert was the best I have ever been too! I have been to so many concerts including Elvis and this one was by far the best ever! He has such a strong and powerful voice, it took my breath away! He is still so very handsome as well. Highly recommend his show to all. They came from all over the world to see him. I was just amazed at that. I will never forget this show, and I do mean never!

It was fantastic to get back in my memorie, the time when my father was alive. If you want have a very goodfeeling , don't hesitate you will have good vib. He still have a wonderfull voice . So nice .

I was looking forward to seeing Engelbert and hearing his beautiful songs again. Well I did see him but his voice is not what it was hoping to hear. The years haven taken it toll on his voice. Englebert's voice was not strong and his voice would fade in and out throughout his performance. He can now only hold a high note for a split second. Many people seemed to have enjoyed his show but I think it was the nostalgia of the songs rather than how Engelbert really sang them.

Englebert's show was wonderful! The highlight of the evening was when his granddaughter came out to sing a duet with her grandfather. She was only 9 years old and she did an amazing job. The song was dedicated to Patricia, Englebert's wife and her grandmother. Enge was beaming with love and pride. We went to the show again on Sunday night. We just can't get enough of his beautiful voice.
