I flew up from Atlanta to NY just to see this and I am so glad I did. Being a huge fan I never thought I would get the chance to see them all together again. I honestly expected a sloppy show but it felt super rehearsed and tight. I was blown away. They brought it big time! Wish the show would have been longer but they let me wanting more :)

This show was about 14 years in the making, House of Pain with La Coka Nostra. They played new stuff, old stuff, the hits and some of the more rare songs that I would've never expected them to play, but they did. Everyone on the stage had maaadddd energy they were enjoying themselves as opposed to some groups that phone in a performance The energy they brought was reflected in the crowds response...time has taken nothing away and as expected when jump around hit, the place went wild, Ill Bill did some of his stuff, Slaine did some of his they went back and forth between LCN songs, and HOP songs.. Go see this show its a once in a lifetime event totally worth twice the price of admission. From the second Slaine stepped out on stage the vibe was in and it was on...

House of Pain/La Coka Nostra at the Nokia Theater on Thursday, 3/18/10 was a phenomenal show. Seeing House of Pain live and in the flesh was definitely on my concert wish list and I'm so psyched that they decided to do some shows. I've been listening to House of Pain since I was 15 years old and to have them perform and totally blow away any expectations I had nearly 15 years later is awesome. Definitely see them if you get the chance. They play a great mix of House of Pain, La Coka Nostra and great old skool hip hop. Guest appearances also made for a fantastic show. House of Pain/La Coka Nostra was off the chain. Great energy, good crowd (albeit heavily male- no problem....no lines for the ladies room!). I WILL see them again if given the opportunity :-) Boys, please keep touring and come back to NYC SOON!

Great performance, excellent effort. Unforgettable event that I have been anticipating for a while. They overdid my expectations, and this doesn't happen very often. My expectations were high, but they just took it to another level. This is true hip-hop. Legends. They put on this show like it was the last show they were ever performing. Boys had great heart last night!!!

Exceeded expectations. High energy from the stage and in the crowd. A good mix of old and new and Brand Nubian set with Sadat X brought me back to my youth.

What a show!! It felt like the late 90's again last night as H.O.P came and represented. I felt like I was back in high school/college again. Everlast ripped it, as did Danny Boy, Slaine, and Ill Bill. The special guests were incredible. It would be great if House of Pain continued to tour on a regular basis. One of the best shows I have seen!!

The show, when it finally started, was just ok. The show was scheduled to start at 8pm, but they did not take the stage until a little after 9:30pm. Hit all the major songs from House of Pain's albums including the crowd pleasers Jump Around, On Point, Sh*t Kickers. Show lasted a little over an hour and the place was over half empty.

Concert was fun and the songs are classics. However, they were over an hour late and only did about an hour set combined with La Coka Nostra. Very disappointing!

I waited 15 years to see the house of pain live again...I feel like I waited another 15 yrs last night. Ticket said doors open at 7...show starts at 7:30.Doors did open around 7:20 but the House Of Pain was no where to be found until 10:10. At first I kinda liked the dj they had on stage...he was spinning a lot of old school songs...I was with it for the first 45 minutes or so...after the 2nd hour I was over him. I did manage to get right by the stage in the front row but the 2 hour and 45 min wait until the music started was almost too much to take! Once they did take the stage it was great...like they have not missed a beat! Everlast and Danny boy were on point like it was 1992 all over again. House of Blues has a great set up for a concert...sounded great!! I would def go back to see another concert there...I might not get there so early next time

I recently attended the House of Pain show at Northern Lights in Clifton Park on 3/21/2010. The show overall was very good, although the sound quality was poor. This wasn't because of any of the performers, but the sound guy. Instead of turning the music down he would turn the mics up, which just made for a lot of muffed lyrics. DJ Playground and his drummer were nasty, it was nice to see a DJ mix it up and add something like a drummer. The local groups from the Albany area were very good as well. Nice beats, good lyrics, great interaction with the crowd, all the tools needed to be a good performer. The House of Pain set was sick, with a nice mix of H.O.P and LaCoka Nostra. Ending the show with Jump Around, which was a nice way to release the energy that had built up during the show. I would definatly recommend seeing them if anybody gets a chance.

All good, but in an hour and half of the House of Pain, they sang 4 songs which were not theirs. And after the band left, they did not bother to come back out for a few more songs... Not cool.

I'm a die hard fan! I still rock all of their albums and for those that don't know, they have such a great catalog of songs not just "Jump Around" as they're are known for. The show from beginning to end was unbelievable! I heard songs that I ain't never heard live but have always played so when they went through some cuts on the "Same As It Ever Was" album which in my opinion one of the greatest hip hop albums, I was amazed! I can't believe Ill Bill was there and rocked a La Coka joint with them! I was waiting for Slaine to come out to but I know he had a show that same night in Boston. This is what hip hop is and will always be in my heart. For youngsters that didn't grow up in this era, I feel bad for you that you have to listen to all the crap that's out today. These guys are in their mid to late 40s and still can kill any MC out there today. I was glad to see these guys again as I've always been a fan including Everlast's solo stuff which he also performed! Thanks HOP for some lasting memories!

Show was billed as House of Pain featuring Everlast. One would assume Everlast would do 45 mins and HOP would do 1 hr 15 min, but not even close. Opening band was Cro Mag, a hard core band from NYC. They weren't appropriate for the audience of mostly 40+ year old husband and wives. They performed for 20 mins. House of Pain came on at 9:05p. It consisted of Everlast, House of Pain and lots of cover songs. They left the stage at 10:05p. People hung around for a while because they couldn't believe it was over. The show was good, but so short it wasn't even worth leaving the house. I can't believe I paid $75 (including fees) for such a short show. They next night, in NYC, they added 2 coka nostra covers to fulfill the 1 hr 15 min bands are usually contracted to play. I thought Everlast was the best part of the show and will see him the next time he's around. He's great on guitar especially doing the Folsom City Blues cover.

Once Everlast/ House of Pain came on stage it was good, but there were WAY to many opening acts! Big B was very good also! Unfortunately, it seemed like Everlast had too much time on his hands before coming out and was a little intoxicated. The songs were still good. The size of the show may have contributed to my somewhat underwhelmed experience. Not a whole lot of people. We really love Everlast and went to see him. He did a great job.

Being such a fan of House of Pain, i was more than excited to see them live after such a long hiatus. Yet, i couldnt help but get the feeling i made a mistake of going after the first two songs i heard. I get it, these guys are now in their 40's still tryin to get the money, but come on Instead of strumming your guitar and playing with a live band the entire night, use the turntables guys!!! Everlast played a few songs off Whitey ford sings the blues, and his refernce that its hip hop to me was laughable. It certainly was not the show i expected or wanted to see. I see Cypress Hill every year around Halloween, and as they are the same age, and play the same set every year, they at least have energy and wherewithal to stick to what made them great straight hip hop and rap! Everlast voice was so raspy i could barely understand what was coming out of his mouth. Danny Boy i heard but being 6'5" and having literally 8' of walking space made it hard for him o move around. At least he got to leave when Whitey Ford came on. The only highlight of the night was jump around ( since they butchered my favorite song - On Point) and even that was spotty! I wish it would have lived up to my expectations. Sorry guys it just wasnt that good, Theres my 2 cents. So flame me for being honest, but its the truth.

The opening acts were ok! I've seen the house about 15 times live and they have never disappointed. I would've prefered a set with DJ Lethal but the band put a new twist on it. Everlast performed a set of his solo songs that was very good. Danny Boy has and always brought it. Hope there will be a 25 year reunion!!!

The years have ben kind to the House of Pain! Backed by a full band, Everlast and Danny Boy fronted an amazing show! They ran through all the House of Pain classics! Everlast also has a small 3 jam set of his solo hits, and a rockin' version of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues". All to be capped off by an energetic version of "Jump Around"! Check it out!!!

I never take the time to do this but feel its my duty. We (the 3 who went) have been long supporters of HOP, even bringing the 20 year old banner to show last night, and ended up leaving early! First the venue changed last minute, because of very low ticket sales, to a smaller spot..no big deal. The issue was the show itselfs, Everlast was either on the horse or just doesnt have it anymore, Dannyboy (if it was even him) tried to keep show moving but sensed no hope, (even the free stickers were throwin back at him)..Lethal DJ'ing on computers still managed to lose time and laugh about it? Songs were only noticeable when chorus came around....42 minutes into the show ended and left everyone scratching their heads..they re-emerged and when on with just plain terrible music. We left early to end the "pain" and remember the real HOP days when they gave a crap. They should do the right thing and end the tour. Big B was on hit, thanks!

First they arrived 3 hrs late, then put on a 52 min show. Are you kidding me. Terrible show, was so dissappointed. I have seen everlast 4 times and every show goes off without a hitch. He does about 2 hrs or so and never late. As for the venue House Of Bluse was great.

Despite the atroucious opening acts (in my opinion), Once House Of Pain/La Coka Nostra got on stage, it was non stop fun. With all their tunes from the La Coka Nostra material with some of the greatest House of Pain classics sprinkled in the set, the crowd went wild and all the adrenaline and energy was there in their peformance. Still one of the best if not the best Hip Hop act around.

House of Pain kept an old school vibe by playing almost the whole 1st album and choice cuts from their other two releases. They brought out dj premier, Sadat x whom played two brand Nubian tracks and fellow La coka nostra members ill bill and slaine. Probably one of the beSt hip hop shows ive ever been to. They played the various lcn hits but kept it mostly HOP tracks. Great performance all around good time.
