Since high school as a trumpet player I have loved the music of Blood Sweat and Tears! The horns gave me chill bumps. These guys are first rate musicians. Ninety percent of the concert though I was wishing the sound guy would raise the level on Bo Bice's voice. He is excellent and keeps the tradition of BS&T alive, just overpowered by the band a lot of the time. I still loved the concert and if I had the chance I would go see them once a month without question. They are that good! Hope someone reading this will go out and get to hear them too.

A fun time and very nostalgic. They played all the hits, a wide variety of music types, lots of super Christmas tunes too. Very engaged with the audience, with lots of fun back and forth banter. They're very talented, and the set was crafted well. It started slower and built up throughout the set. Great ending!! I'd recommend them to anyone.

Blood, Sweat and Tears provided an absolutely fantastic show; solo performances by each member of the band was superb; the saxophone player and the bass guitarist brought the house down with their solo performances. DEFINITELY HOPE THEY RETURN IN THE FUTURE. I am a promoter of high quality entertainment shows, and would be honored to present them anytime, anywhere. Thank you for such an outstanding evening to ALL OF YOU from BLOOD SWEAT and TEARS.

Steve Katz is only original member, providing historical anecdotes as well as blowing some pretty good harp and vocals. Room for players to stretch in BS&T favorites and a few covers providing a wide range of material. If you get the chance, check them out. Show was 2 hours nonstop.

This concert was one of the best I have EVER attended in my lifetime!!! The performances were top notch......the camaraderie, respect and support among the members was heart-warming......... The sound quality was amazing but not so loud that it was painful as most concerts are. They were very much in the now but at the same time it was the closest one could ever come to time travel.... Living proof talent is ageless and timeless.........in fact "you're not getting older you're getting better" definitely applies here! Hooray for BS&T!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The show was excellent! We had great seats in the middle, row V, with a good view of the stage. The songs were well played and sung, and the additional commentary by Steve Katz added a lot of value to this performance. We were probably the youngest people on the venue, though, besides the ushers... :)

The Blood Sweat & Tears show was Fabulous. If you close your eyes you will think that you are back in 1969 and the seventies when they were the #1 song on the radio. The sounds are amazing as are the vocals and harmonica and other solo riffs. Don't miss this show if you get a chancce to see and hear it.

Blood, Sweat and Tears performance at the Berklee Performance Center last night (October 15) was nothing less than spectacular. The sound matched the original sound of the late 60s and early 70s. California sound. Everyone on stage is a talented musician in their own right. The enduring music that you remember listenting to on your old AM radio lives on for yet another generation.

We enjoyed the show. Blood Sweat & Tears played all the hits I could think of, sounded great. Good mix, excellent musicianship. My only suggestion - I know the fans are predominantly "older" but that doesn't mean we don't still like our music loud. I just thought it should have been a bit stronger/louder.

the band has still got it--the signature sound hasn't been compromised at all. They played the hits that everyone wanted to hear and some other good tunes. The horn section was in fine form. Big drawback: I had purchased 4 seats--# 6,7,8,& 9, section E, grandstand, row 1. Should have been fantastic seats, but seat # 8 is directly behind a large square column. I mean "large"--totally obliterated any view. Also had much less leg room. I was told we could move to different empty seats once the show started. Only problem was that any empty seats were lousy and there weren't 4 together. So we stayed there and took turns in the wasted seat--NOT GOOD BUSINESS--I will hesitate to go to Tioga Downs again, because they wouldn't make it right. They should have offered a refund on that seat, or at least some drinks or food for the huge inconvenience.

Great concert! The band nailed it and reproduced the songs as they were done back in the day with the exception of You Made Me Very Happy (more jazzy and heavy on guitar). All musicians are 1st class. Bo Bice did a pretty credible job reproducing Kooper, Clayton-Thomas & Fisher. They did songs from the all three eras! They even did a jazz instrumental in the middle of the set. The one drawback was that Bo talked too much, probably 3-5 minutes between each song, much of it rambling. The music was fantastic but the dialogue was worth missing. Very tight all the way around! Would see again.

Amazing musicians...Bo Bice is not David Clayton Thomsa, but Bo is an extraordinary musician and singer in his own right and delivers a powerful performance! The band is absolutely extraordinary, the know how to deliver a very quality BS&T sound....the bass player was perfect doing Sometimes in Winter and what an amazing dripummer, the crowd reacted to his fabulous drum solo with excited cheers. The horn guys, WOW....oh WOW....fantastic musicians! The Birchmere, as usual, is the most fantastic venue for not only great sounds...but amazing servers delivering delicious dishes...like stealth severs, as always they were wonderful.

Above it asks me to rate the venue. The venue was okay. It should ask me to rate the performance. If they did, I'd give it one star. The photo of Blood, Sweat & Tears that travels with the ticketmaster sales promotion/purchase tickets web-site is of the now gray (and old) original members. A shady trick. Save the keyboard player, everyone else in this year's rendition of the touring band was not even born when B, S & T were creating their famous sound. As musicians, they weren't bad, but they were not B, S & T. David Clayton Thomas' voice is hard to duplicate, and the guy from American Idol (Bo Duddley?) crucified so many wonderful songs. He pranced around on stage, slinging the mic stand (ala Mick Jagger) and took a break to remove his ever present sun glasses to mob his brow and take a drink, between each song. David Clayton Thomas he ain't. I felt cheated by Ticketmaster and by the band. I was hoping for something a little closer to the truth. If you're a B, S & T fan, save your money... don't see this show; you will be disappointed.

The first half or more of the show was quite boring. They could have easily slipped in familiar songs between the "jazz" stuff. They waited to the end to do their most popular stuff and then it was really good. Pretty much slept through the first half. Disappointed.

Bo Bice heading BST tour was the right choice. Although he is many years younger than the BST original band members, once he started singing, you forgot that. His deep voice and the range... OMG the range, it all sounded just like the original recordings from decades ago. Loved, loved, loved it.

After a slow start sound-mixing wise (it took about three songs for the sound mixer to wake up and get it in the ballpark), the concert was generally great. Even though none of the current band members are from the original group, most are even better than the originals. The exception may be Bo Bice. He does a fantastic job and is very charismatic, entertaining, and talented. Most of the songs he is very good at, but there are a few where he needs to listen to David Clayton Thomas's style or perhaps even consider not doing the song at all (God Bless the Child is certainly one of them). I really appreciate good musicianship and these guys have it! Tip for the BS&T sound mixer for the future - the lead trumpet player's mic needs to be turned up and the drummer's needs to be turned down.

Well, when I purchased the tickets, I didn't realize that Bo Bice was fronting the band. I liked him on AI but, not very impressed with his performance with BST. I did not know or realize that this was a tribute band. When Bo Bice (the lead singer) said he had been on American Idol and came in second, I was shocked! Never would I pay $65 to see a tribute band, especially when there are tribute band concerts in Daytona Beach across the street from this venue for free the same night. Their only saving grace was the exceptionally good brass and woodwind performers.

I am a 58 year old avid concert goer. I had only moderate expectations as to the BS&T concert given that there were no original band members. My expectations were far exceeded when Bo Bice and the incredibly talented musicians in BS&T took the stage. I would have to rank this concert in the top five favorite concerts that I have attended. I will certainly take the opportunity to see them again in the future. My only criticism is the amount of times that Bo Bice reminds the audience that we are listing to BS&T and how fortunate he is to be fronting the band. This should not keep you from going to see them as the talent of the group a a whole is phenomenal, and likely better than the original.

I was sceptical of Bo Bice fronting BST but he was respectible and kept the BST honorable past at the forefront of his performance. He interacted very well with the audience. BST was outstanding performing most of their notable hits and hits they should have written. Drummer Dylan Elise tied everything together with his driving talent and impeccable jazz drumming. He brought the house down during his drum solo and was eager to meet with fans. Nice intimate venue at Montgomery Performinf Arts Center in Alafreakingbama with only 1400 seats. 35 years of band members changes has not hurt the powerful rock and horns music they are known for. When they're in town go and relive the 60's.

Eric Burdon has to be the coolest 71 year old in the world. He still rocks out when combining genres of Rock and Roll with Jazz and Blues. I felt him feeling each song he sang and enloyed it tremendously. Dave Mason took the stage along with a lead guitarist and, Man, can he still sing and play. From We just disagree to All Along the Watchtower! Amazing. Blood, Sweat and Tears had great musicians and a fantastic horn session. The instrumentials were fantastic! Unfortunately there lead singer David Aldo did not belong in that group. His songs were "performed" lacking the conviction, rawness and edge that the David Clayton Thomas had recorded the songs with. Aldo took the bluesy "God Bless the Child" and turned it into a lounge act. Total disappointment to an otherwise great night!

Not a bad seat in the house and Blood Sweat and Tears were fantastic. The horns laid it down and the new lead singer, Bo Bice, was excellent. Loved him on American Idol where he placed second to Carrie Underwood. Just a wonderful show. Now the down side to the Canyon Club..we ordered a bake potato each, split a salad and artichoke dip and we each had four cocktails. Bill was $136 before tip. I wouldn t mind so much, but after the first drink, I swear they were weaker and weaker. Four Old Fashioneds and didn t even have the tiniest buzz? Next time I ll order beer, which they only serve in cans, but at least I ll know what I m getting. But overall, a nice night and we will return for more concerts at this venue.

The musicianship of the current BS&T members is top notch. They are all great performers. Bo Bice also has a very good voice (which I recall from American Idol). The only thing that brought the show down was the intolerable stage banter of Bo Bice. It was very forced and contrived. He also spoke of the band as if he was not really a member of it, but let's face it - Blood Sweat and Tears has had 165 members over the years since its formation, so why does it matter? To sum it up for Bo: more rock, less talk. BB King is a fine venue. They have a bathroom attendant, which is a pet peeve of mine and of course since it's in Times Square, everything is overpriced. But the sound is good and it's generally a good place to see a show like this.

What a band. Words cannot describe how great Bo Bice was. This was a dynamite show! We loved every minute of it. Bo s voice was beyond great. He s so good, you won t believe it. The band was absolutely magnificent. Everyone was just wonderful and the audience loved every minute. Standing ovations multiple times. You will not be sorry. Worth every penny. Just wish the Paramount had a better sound system.

There are some good cover bands and I don't mind paying to see them. I do mind paying to see the original band and getting a cover band instead. There was not one member of the original band on stage. It was a decent show but not what I expected. I will say the band members were very good. It would have been better if Bo Bice would just shut up and sing. He likes to hear himself talk. That wouldn't be too bad if he was more entertaining and less self serving. He babbled too long between each and every song except one. Maybe we got lucky and he wore himself out. Not worth top dollar considering how many talented cover bands are out there at more reasonable prices. A bit of a disappointment but decent enough if you know what to expect.

Awesome show...... great horn section and Bo Bice is a great singer and had great interaction with the audience. But they advertised a pic of the original members and the only one was the founder. They should be referred to as the 'NEW' BS&T. There were some disappointed audience members, hoping to see the original band.....

Blood Sweat & Tears has been a fav group for 50 years. I've seen them many times but the latest aggregation is among the best. 8 awesome musicians doing their hits sprinkled with some fantastic jazz fusion. The singer isn't David Clayton-Thomas but he's close. Catch 'em if you can.

I saw BS&T in Ft. Pierce, FL and they ROCKED. Bo Bice was sick and they had another gentleman in his place (wish I could remember his name) but the event was fantastic! This guy was an entertainer and kept everyone including the band members smiling! Sadly, with Bo Bice I did not see any of it ... matter of he is kind of stuck on himself. Wanted to fall asleep.

We attended the BS&T concert on 6/24/17. A few tips for the venue. The saloons and bars nearest the Peabody are lousy, smoky dives. Food was cheap, but worth every penny we didn't pay. I suggest eating before you cross the bridge, or park and go to Crab Shack. We love the Peabody; this venue is great for classic (older) bands. We've not tried a play, but I imagine the acoustics would be good for that, too. This concert, BS&T, was good in that they did play all the songs we remember (God Bless the Child, Spinning Wheel, Heigh-Hi, etc.), and the lead singer was a good "replica", it was only one (I think) of the original members. The horn section and drummer were outstanding, but I'd hoped for more authenticity for the price ($60/ea ticket, 3rd row.) I'd think a "cover band" would have been cheaper. Plus, a speaker blocked our view of all the horns. That was disappointing, but we enjoyed the show nevertheless. Thanks to the Peabody for bringing in shows such as this one. We'll be back!

Have to admit that I was really not expecting much from this oldie. However, they blew me away. Excellent musicians and Bo Bice was pretty decent as well. Loved it.

It's hard to believe Bice was runner up to Carrie Underwood. There were a number of songs that he was off. Even so, I enjoyed the concert.

It is difficult to be objective when reviewing a cover band taking on CLASSIC songs such as those we loved by the original Blood Sweat and Tears. Most impressive to us was the musicianship of the band that performed under that name at Bergen PAC on June 15. They were amazing, and those old familiar notes resonated and sounded as fresh as when they were recorded. Disappointing was the front man, Bo Bice, he of Idol fame. He is unable to generate the passion of Al Kooper for the early BST songs ( I Can't Quit Her, I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know) and does he have the soulful voice of David Clayton Thomas, evident in songs like God Bless the Child. Mr. Bice seems to yell through these songs with no regard for the sensitive flavor of these songs. As a front man, he pranced around, sort of full of himself. He is NOT MIck Jagger or Steven Tyler, so it really doesn't work for him. Also, the cover of Sometimes in Winter by the bass player was terrible. He killed that beautiful Steve Katz song. The closing Grammy set was pretty good, with Bice's yelling sounding better. The tribute to Gregg Allman, Midnight Rider, was fun. I am sure there are reasons why a band that does not include ANY of the original members can use the name of the original band, as Blood Sweat and Tears does. There must be legal protection that allows this, but as a COVER band, this version of BS&T was pretty good.

Loved seeing the tribute to the music and Bo sounded fantastic ...! Only gripe is there was FAR too much Bo talking and sending "love" to everyone in the band between every song..... could have done more true BST songs and less "drum and horn solos"..... overall mediocre show.

I was actually expecting more of almost a tribute band thing, but this show was amazing! They obviously loved the music they were playing and were very true to the vibe of the original band--very well done!

The band was fantastic and bo bice's vocals fit in terrific. This venue is usually my favorite since there's no bad seat. However this show experience wasn't the best since everytime anyone stood up, even as bo urged the audience to dance and sing, we got yelled at to sit right down. Took away from the experiece...but the band was still top notch. I give the band 5 stars but subtracted one for the venue experience we had this time.

It was an excellent show! Bo Bice does a great job leading BS&T with a wonderful personality. The musicians were top notch and the sound was very good for the Golden Nugget. I would have loved to see Vehicle which they normally do, however thanks to Golden Nugget's 90 minute no exception policy, we didn't have that opportunity. They cover the Allman Brothers' Midnight Rider usually, so after Gregg's death last week it was a very good tribute. I would definitely recommend BS&T for the music and good value.

My spouse is the long time BS&T fan. I am the Bo Bice fan. The music was wonderful as anticipated....but Bo made the show for both of us! He was not only handsome, engaging and personable - but the voice is a true powerhouse!! A perfect combination to send shivers down your spine a few times. If you haven't seen BS&T in a few years - SEE THEM AGAIN!!

Each of the musicians were credible. Bo is ok as a singer but near the end he got terribly pitchy and couldn't hit even medium notes in "You've made me so very Happy." He constantly walks back and forth across the stage and talks a great deal. Yelling "BS and T!" after every song doesn't make you believe that you are hearing a reasonable facsimile of the band. When you have to mention that your sound man has been with the band for 40 years it is a little sad. The problem is that I heard the original band at its height and have every recording. Very disappointing. Spend the money on recordings of the real thing.

The band sounded great. The Genesee Theatre was a really nice venue. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Bo Bice was the front man for the group. He was fantastic.
