Trivium

Driving guitar solos and throbbing rhythms make up the heavy metal produced by Orlando-based metalcore outfit Trivium. Since their start in 2000, the four-member band has sold more than a million albums and toured alongside other big-ticket metal acts like Iron Maiden, As I Lay Dying and GWAR.Their most recent effort, “Vengeance Falls,” surfaced in October 2013 and landed at No. 15 on The Billboard 200, as well as in the Top 10 on Japanese and Australian album charts.

The bands were amazing. So much energy and they put on a great show. Toothgrinder was all in the crowd, stage diving, crowd surfing, there was a lot of that from the fans as well and moshing for Trivium. The security detail was very attentive and helpful in keeping everyone safe. The fans and the band. It was a great time!

First off Sabaton was amazing I loved being able to meet them when they were outside the venue. They were really nice I love their music my family being next door to Sweden in Norway. I can relate to what they sing about. This got the night started Sabaton put on an amazing show. Trivium had the crowd going if I wasn't hit as many times as I was and had to leave I would have enjoyed trivium more then what I did. Overall amazing show and then my husband I got to meet trivium.

State theater is a great place to see a show. Small venue has intimacy but can lack the energy of a large crowd. That being said... Huntress/Sabaton/Trivium all had tremendous energy for a Tuesday night. Great time.

This show was a good one overall. Wilson the opening band stole the show with their music and performance( also watched them open for Sevendust where they held their own) and Tremonti was great as well although some of their songs sound the same to me. Trivium just didn't have the songs to keep my interest so we left early.

The Culture Room event was great. The place is small, but feels spacious enough. A great size for hearing music. There is no seating, by the way - despite what your ticket might say. Of the four bands, Thy Will Be Done surprised me the most as the opening act - they quickly made me a fan. The other two (Devil Driver and I forget the other) were a bit much for my taste and as with any metal show you have to keep an eye on the mosh pit. Trivium themselves absolutely killed it though. Great set list, all the solos intact and performed flawlessly. Matt Heafy's vocal range and the band's overall talents really come through. One of my favorite current metal bands, I'd love to see them again. Don't miss them!

Great lineup top to bottom. It was my first time seeing both After the Burial, and Thy Will Be Done, and I really liked them both. DevilDriver, as always, brought the goods, and did not disappoint. I've been wanting to catch Trivium for a long time. Finally got to! Front row and everything! DevilDriver was good, but I couldn't hardly hear by that time. Never was a fan of theirs, but i wouldn't mind seeing them again if they are playing with another band I like. I was RIGHT in front of the monitors ahah. Sylosis was a great opening band, I'd go see them as a headliner as well. Hope they are all doing fine from their accident. 95% of the people were there for Trivium without a doubt. Trivium was amazing and were really involved with the crowd. They sounded fantastic and at a few points during the show a couple of the band members even came into the crowd and rocked out with they're fans. they played a huge set (i don't know the entire set list) but they played all their greatest hits from all of their albums and then some! The only thing that was a bummer is i really wanted to hear Kiruste Gomen, which is the first track off their latest album Shogun, and this is the second time i've seen them in 6 months and they still didn't play it. But other than that it was an excellent show! I will see them whenever i can!!

Trivium was excellent. I was very surprised and happy that they sold out (with Arch Enemy) the Best Buy Theater in NYC. They played for about 70 minutes. Why advertise the start time as 7pm yet when my son and I got inside The Fillmore at 7:00, While She Sleeps was setting up. I wanted to see Fit For an Autopsy and could have lived without seeing While She Sleeps. This is unacceptable as is the fact that Arch Enemy played a lot more songs than Trivium. Arch Enemy is good but the singer's voice gets old after a while. I get that they were both headlining and it was probably outside of The Fillmore's control however starting 20 minutes earlier than the advertised start time is entirely in their control. Trivium was excellent. Both Arch Enemy and Trivium's sound was amazing in contrast to While She Sleeps which sounded like noise. I have seen a number of scream-core and extreme metal bands like Fear Factory; Bullet for My Valentine; Once Human; Cradle of Filth; Amon Amarth; etc. etc. thus it's pretty clear that While She Sleeps is average at best. I would recommend seeing Trivium to anyone...Arch Enemy - I guess you need to be in the mood for!

I went into this show not knowing what to really expect, I mean I've seen Trivium twice but never as a headliner. I saw them on their two most recent Mayhem Festival runs but it was as a opener on the main stage so them headlining was a interesting thing to see. But anyways the show itself was impressive due to it being a Monday night and that all of the bands gave it their all. Huntress put on a good show and Sabaton really surprised by how good they were live. They had so much energy and it really made me want to go see them every they time they come back to Pittsburgh. Trivium really surprised me on what they could do as a headliner, I knew they could put on a show but when you give them about a 60 minute set (I don't know how long it was but they played about 15-17 songs.) But they pulled out all the fast and brutal songs that they know, even pulling out some older songs. My overall experience was a great one and I will support all of the bands and would gladly see them again.

What an amazing show! I had seen this same show a month ago in New Mexico (I flew there just to see Sabaton) and enjoyed it so much I traveled across the country to catch the end of the tour in Ft. Lauderdale. I did not want to miss the opportunity to see Sabaton again in a small club, or to see Huntress again up close. Since I first became aware of Huntress I have been learning about them and realized just how good Jill Janus is as a metal front-woman. Her voice is incredible and so is her stage presence. I was able to meet her at this show and she was extremely nice and I was impressed. It is hard for a woman to make it in metal, but it is finally happening more every year (e.g., Lizzy Hale, Taylor Momsen, etc.). Give Huntress a fair chance and go support this great singer who has a great band. Sabaton played second. Of course, if you know Sabaton then you know that something funny was going on with them playing second on this tour. Perhaps it was to give the new guitarist a chance to get up to speed. I really don't know why a band that regularly opens festivals in Europe with hundreds of thousands of people in attendance, that has its own outdoor festival, and that has its own cruise (the Sabaton Cruise) would play second to this lineup. Maybe they were practicing on the small club crowd to go back to Europe next Spring and slay the arena/stadium shows. Whatever the reason, it was a rare and life changing opportunity to get to see this band up close. A large amount of the crowd was there for Sabaton and that part of the crowd was intensely enthusiastic (like Sabaton fans everywhere). By the end of the set there were people around me who had not known them (Tivium only fans) who were jumping up and down to Primo Victoria with the rest of us. They were flawless and amazing. So, I am not a Trivium fan, only because I never got turned on to them like Sabaton. I tried to learn about them prior to the shows I saw, but found their videos to be kind of boring. i must admit that they are a better live band than on video. The show was energetic and the crowd was wild. It was so nice of them and of Huntress to pay tribute to Sabaton and to acknowledge how big of a band Sabaton is in other parts of the world. Trivium said Sabaton was their favorite band for years, and the lead singer of Trivium was wearing a Sabaton shirt during the show. I wasn't expecting to like them, but really enjoyed their set.

Trivium are real champs. About a 4th way into the set, they blew the fuse and all the lights and stuff went out on stage. Matt heafy (frontman) said if even if they had to play in the dark, the show was gonna happen. To me, thats real. The show itself was amazing. The band had fist pumping, crowd surfing, mosh pits, and circle pits all happening. Matt heafy left the stage twice to come down to the floor where everybody was at to play his guitar parts in the the middle of everyone. Even though they would not be returning for a very long time due to the tour and new cd, I seriously can not wait till they do, they are an amazing band that put on a damn good show.

Forget the first 3 bands, for me its Trivium all the way! Travis didn't show but the new drummer was decent enough that with practice he'll get better quick. Doubt he's the permanent replacement but it worked at the time, good job guy! For the other three, you kick ass as always! Great music, great energy, great crowd inclusion (thanks Matt for the dedication of Throes to the females) and as always amazing show! Thanks Matt and Corey for being so friendly and cool, not trashy and cocky like most all other bands!!! The most real band ever and forever, take care guys!

this was the greatest concert I've ever been to! ive only been to three concerts in my life but this was by far the greatest! white chapel asked for a wall of death and it was freaking insane! then during triviums set they did a cover song where Corey sang and Matt came into the audience and played guitar around everyone! he moved around the place and stood within three feet of me! later during the same song, i think, Paolo walked right past me and had a shot with the sound guy! Trivium sounded great!! and getting to download their set is awesome! i missed just about all of dirge within's performance but they did sound really good for the few minutes i heard them. chimaira sounded really good but i don't think they had a very good stage presence. i liked how trivium seemed so down to earth and and it didn't seem awkward when they were talking to the crowd or like they were trying to rush anything. they didn't sing as much songs as other headliners that I've seen but they talked to the crowd a lot, which i liked better. i highly recommend seeing trivium or even white chapel any chance you get! they will not disappoint!

This entire show was epic. Dirge Within opened and they're a pretty heavy band. They were good. Next, Whitechapel took the stage and blew my mind! They're amazing. After Whitechapel came Chimaira. Chimaira has always been an awesome heavy band. Last but certainly not least, Trivium took the stage. They definitely stole the show. Everything they did was brutal and I loved every minute of it. Overall it was a fantastic show and I would pay $100 to go again!

The environment of the show was sweet (dark and a little small), but I wish they would have played Kirisute Gomen (my favorite). They were energetic on stage, and afterwards they met some of the fans which was awesome. I met the lead singer Matt Heafy for a moment afterwards, and was so nervous that all I could do was ask if I could take a picture with him. I didn't even get to say he was awesome, but I am sure he hears that a lot. Highly recommend them, they were amazing!

This was by far one of the best shows I have ever been to! This was my 4th time seeing Trivium live and this was hands down the best concert i've seen them play. The other bands were incredible too! Chimaira was amazing live! I got to do the meet and greet after the show with Trivium and they were nothing but nice and really appreciative! I just love the Sunshine Theater too! No matter where you're standing you're close to the stage!

I have seen Trivium 4 other times. This was their first time headlining, and I must say they were incredible. The other bands Dirge, White Chapel, and chamaira were awesome too. I'm sad that I won't get to see them again for awhile, but when they come back it will be with new music...I can't wait for it....TRIVIUM RULZ!!!!

Hometown dudes, Dirge Within got the show off to a great start and the energy and madness only continued from there. White Chapel from Knoxville, TN are totally heavy but fit in nicely, and the crowd is digging it. Next up, the almighty Chimaira from OH are nothing less than amazing, heavy and totally professional. Mark Hunter and crew seem to love every time they play Chicago and tonight is no different. Now it's time for what we came here for...Trivium and damn! Matt & Corey really know how to growl, sing and shred like they've been doing it for many years but these guys are young and are kicking ass from town to town with the help of Paulo on bass and mystery dude on drums in place of regular band mate, drummer, Travis Smith, whom according to Trivium's website will be missing some tour dates due to personal issues. Matt was enthralled with the crowd's energy and couldn't get enough of their enthusiasm. Calling Chicago his second home and commenting on some food he had and museums he toured earlier in the day, both band and crowd seemed more than pleased with the evening's results.

I've been to a great deal of concerts over the years, and Trivium definitely made it into my top ten. The band sounded amazing live, the pit was intense, and the opening bands were actually tolerable! (I've sat through waaaay to many terrible opening sets to see my favorite bands.) Their energy on stage is awesome, I recommend all Trivium fans see them live upon their return!

The Dirge Within (7) started off the show and kicked more ass than expected. I'm not a big fan of deathcore so Whitechaple (6) wasn't great in my book, but kept the energy up. Chimera (5) is like a 2nd rate Hatebreed, average on every level. Trivium (9) swooped in and saved the day though. Matt really knows how to work the crowd and it was balls to the wall.

topped mudvayne, topped GWAR (believe it or not) even though 2 bands cancelled it only made the show more personal with trivium. small venue with a loose crowd, all that only added to the personal feeling. TLDR: just read the title!

Having slowly warmed up to Trivium over the past few years I finally decided to make a conscience effort to see them headline their own tour. And they did not disappoint! The guitar work was simply stunning - as expected. The most pleasant surprise was Matt Heafy and his comfort level playing the frontman extrordinare. Not much mention Corey and Paolos vocal contributions made for a solid ensemble. The set list was a good mix of old and new with all the crowd pleasers thrown in. In short, it was a great night - a good time was had by all.

Chimera opened and was much more heavy than Trivium. It was an all ages show and started early. i dont really care for much singing in my metal, Trivium has great songwriting and musicians that rocked out. Just wish Chimera played for longer and it wouldve been a great show.

Anyone who loves hard rock and great energy must check out Trivium and Chimaira. the hometown band Dirge Within was an excellent surprise, they definitely got the party going! White Chapel was a disappointing, sounded the same and all screamin, someones cup of tea but not mine. Do yourself a favor and at least check out some of their new songs.

This was my 4th time seeing Trivium and by far the best. Their set was amazing and had every song I wanted to hear. I also find it very cool that Trivium has allowed their fans a digital copy of the live cut. However, this was also the 3rd time I've had to see to White Chapel, I'm not the biggest fan of their music but they definitely get the crowd going.
