THE STRING CHEESE INCIDENT IN CONCERT:The String Cheese Incident may be America's quintessential jam band, effortlessly traversing genres and styles to create a truly sweeping live experience that incorporates elements of bluegrass, electronica, and psychedelia into their rock-based sound. Intuitively playing off each other, the band's talented roster of musicians improvise freely atop a full-throttle rhythm section that consistently brings fans to their feet for a dance in the aisles. This was the first taste of the cheese for me, and it was Sweet ,Tangy and very Sharp with notes of blue(grass) . Psychedelic light show was the best I have ever experienced!! See this Band!!!

I am a huge Cheese fan but I was extremely disappointed in this show. Seemed like it was more about the light show than the music. I am scared to see them again in case this is the band that shows up. Bummer...could have been so cool at Red Rocks too.

This was the place to be this year. The band sounded incredible, the atmosphere was captivating. C'mon, the skydivers during the day and then again with sparks at night set a new standard. Well done, Cheese. this was my first incident and only my 2nd and 3rd time at red rocks. the show was incredible, such high positive energy, beautiful light performances and sound features. every moment of the show was magic. sci got downnn with the funk and at times put me into a trance, an awakening of my soul. the music made me alive.

Cheese was absolutely amazing, jammed my face off. However, all the tarps in general admission are quite rediculous. In general admission we dont have reserved seats, yet, people take the initiative to save a ten foot squared space fr people who have not yet showed up for the event. Its kind of rediculous when everyone who has a GA ticket needs to fit in the GA area but yet, no one lets you stand anywhere. We sat in the reserved seats two nights in a row with red rocks staff trying to kick us out, where should we sit if no one alows us to sit anywhere?

String Cheese is always an amazing time!! Talented and fun doesn't even begin to describe this group! They're amazing!! And the Orpheum in Madison, WI was perfect!! The staff were so friendly, reasonable drink prices, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. I'm in my third trimester so I needed to stay near a seat and even in the back of the house we had a spectacular view! Love love love!! I cannot say enough good things.

I have seen Stringcheese incident a number of times in the past. This was my first time at the Orpheum Theater in Madison. The Theater was great! Reasonably priced drinks. Friendly staff. I'm a smoker so I appreciate that they allow re-entry for smokers. The band was absolutely magical. They never cease to amaze! If you have not been to a Stringcheese Incident show then you are missing out!

The show was great. Kings Theater is one of the most beautiful venues in New York with great sound quality and a good layout so there isn't a bad seat in the theater.

Very Hot! Absolutely amazing! They were so tight and in complete harmony. I saw them last in 2006 at George Mason University in Fairfax VA. They were awesome then, but they have definitely improved over the years and I am ready to follow them! Where are they next???

I have been to hundreds of shows. Really liking String Cheese's music and not having and an opportunity to see them in the past, I drove from Central Florida to Atlanta to see them. The crowd there was disrespectful, argumentative and rude. From smoking in a non smoking amphitheater trying to provoke security and staff while ignoring other people's desire not to smoke to squatting in seats and taking over areas they didn't pay for. I am all about love, peace and the willingness to get along. We ended up leaving just after the bands break because the crowd was so obnoxious and couldn't enjoy the seats we paid for! I don't know if it is Atlanta, that particular venue or their fans but never again until they are at a camping festival where people know how to act and get along in numbers.

Cheese was so great Saturday night. I will never forget that show. The venue was horrible! The staff were incredible rude. I was getting ready to buy a poster and had to leave because they wouldn't let my husband stand there and wait for me. They opened my prescription bottle and asked for ID for it! I could not believe how they were acting. The band was awesome, but I will avoid going to shows at the US Cellular Center in Asheville, NC again.

I'm a huge SCI fan, so of course I enjoyed everything they did. Not one of the more funky shows but you never know what you're going to get with them. I love it all but the funkier, the better for me. I wish that SCI would play more So Cal shows. I'd also like to review the Arlington in case anyone considers going there. Everyone who worked there were very pleasant. The mostly roofless venue is such a great environment. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. I definitely look forward to going there again.

First of all, any concert at the Greek Theater is automatically better. This was our first String Cheese Incident and it was a true SoCal experience. The "mellowness" wafted through the audience relaxing everyone and heightening the sensory experience. The Cheese flowed smoothly from tune to tune, jamming effortlessly. Their style is definitely unique but lends itself to a broad interpretation. As the sun started to set they cranked up the energy and the place was rocking. Dancing in the aisles abounded. Definitely an enjoyable experience, even though at times the band was the background to the "ecclectic" audience and their shenanigans. They even did two encores which was quite generous.

great show, solid playing (better than in the past) but... there were too many newer songs played, for me. you, see, i've seen SCI probably 35 or so times over the past 15 years, but not as much recently. this means i'm not too familiar with the newer tunes. of course i can't expect a band to play all oldies, but i prefer to hear songs i'm familiar with, UNLESS the new ones are way better or in a different direction. neither was the case, here. GA seating at the berkeley greek is great, if you get there early enough. we were on the rail on the keith moseley side. you can't get much better than that.

I had seen SCI at Warren Haines' Xmas Jam and loved the couple of pieces they played.. Likewise, on AXS. After an hour or so at this concert, it got repetitious. They then did a pyschedelia piece that took me back to the 60s. Problem was it wasn't particularly good - at least to my ears. Not many in the audience were old enough to remember the psychedelic era and appeared to enjoy it. My advice - if you are a devotee of the group, by all means go. They had very good stage presence and are good musicians and you will likely differentiate the various songs that seemed so similar to me. Otherwise, fo' get about it.

I have been going to hear SCI play since 2001 and I have witnessed some stellar incidents. I was so moved and impressed with this latest concert that I am scrambling to get a recording of the show. The first set contained a lot of classic songs from SCI's repertoire but they were DE-constructed and put back together in new and fantastic ways. The songs they covered in this show, Tom Petty, Bob Marley and Talking Heads were fresh, exciting. and rocking like I was hearing them for the first time. And finally, I'm certain that I heard a lot of new material that became some of my favorite songs instantly. I sum up by offering this fact. I have a lot of SCI tunes that are my favorites and I want to hear them when I attend an incident. Only one of those songs were played on this night, Black Clouds, the encore. Having said that, this might well be my favorite incident ever. The energy in the jamming was of New Years Eve quality and it is a legendary performance in my humble opinion.

Definitely had a blast in Asheville at this venue seeing my first live String Cheese Incident show. Everyone I met was super nice. No bad vibes here. Music was superb - fans are awesome - plenty of space to dance - everyone was respectful - acoustics were fantastic - overall an excellent time! Cannot wait to see SCI again! <3 AJ99

The band seemed to stay away from their typical bluegrass Stuff and kept it all uptempo dance music the whole way. They are not a band you can listen to on the radio but if you like to go out and dance they will leave you happy. Phish will always make these guys seem like watered down faux jam music. But you have to get in where you fit in right? It was a great show for Cheese without the lame specitcles or "happenings" they like to boast about.

The String Cheese Incident are five of the most talented musicians I've seen/heard/experienced in a long time. They bring a unique feel to their music that had me out of my seat for the entire show. And- I had really cool seats too. But, who can sit in a seat when SCI is jamming on stage. Gotta get up and move the body to the music. Thanks!

SCI almost always delivers and they certainly did at this show. While their first song was a bit more blistering than I needed for takeoff, they diversified their sound and mood fairly quickly and the show became as interesting as it was fun to dance to. On their third song they dropped into KC & the Sunshine Band's Get Down Tonight and that sent the crowd into a happy frenzy. Plenty of SCI costumed freaks gallivanting about to add contextual color to the proceedings. Overall a more rocking show than normal (perhaps they do this on Saturday nights)--Michael Kang was on fire.

First time seeing these guys. Really glad they finally came to Detroit. Venue was perfect. Show was even better. They didn't even play any of my favorite songs & I still loved the show. That don't happen to often. Hope they show up here more regularly.

Truly fantastic show. These guys never disappoint. Can't say enough good things about their shows. The show was filled with great jams and covers of a range of different artists from the Weekend to Paul McCartney and Johnny Cash.

The show was awesome start to finish. Lights were amazing, sound was on point, and it was a good veraity. SCI is one of my favorite bands to see live and this showing was in my top ten. Set list was old and new, good verity, something for everyone.
