Excellent performance from both featured artist! Babyface sounds like his CD live plus full of energy, no lip singing! Fantasia is incredible and real!

Overall the entry way into the game was smooth. $ 20 for parking is steep, the ticket at $30+ was probably why the stands were not full, and $ 3.50 for drinks, come on now. The Event Staff was on the Job. Security was everywhere so we felt safe. The fireworks show at the end was spectacular. A great game. Excellent half time show. I would like the stands full.

the Ricky Smiley Comedy show was the best that I have ever attended! Ricky, Special K, Big Sean and D. Ellis were all so funny that it hurt! Then the game was great! The crowd and teams were amazing! All around enjoyable experience.

This event was well coordinated and wonderful. The facility was beautifully maintained. THoroughly enjoyed myself.

The game was very good. The bands were very good. And there was plenty of good food everywhere.

Other than a female sergeant being rude and inconsiderate, I had an awesome time at the Southern Heritage Classic. I will be going back on next year.

Baby Face was great, his songs were awsom, and his voice was clear and distinct!

I enjoyed both artist! Interaction with audience was great! The theater was great!

Babyface was excellent! Would have liked to hear Fantasia sing more of her own songs.

I haven't had that much fun in a very long time. Stephanie and Jeffrey were both outstanding.

I came all the way from St. Louis to see Jeffrey Osborne!!! I have loved his music since FOREVER!!! His show was everything and more! We got our party on and he broke out his lovely ballads that we love him for!!! Stephanie Mills was the cherry on top! They both can SANG and have some amazing hits!! I would see them both again!!!!!

Jeffrey and Stephanie's voices and stage presence are very strong. Both brought the audience into their performances. Loved it!!!

Jeffrey Osborne looked and sounded fabulous. Stephanie Mills is a great entertainer as well. The whole night was full of energy and excellent music. Loved it.

This has been the best year for me at the Southern Heritage Classic. Lot 13 was a great spot to be. Everyone around us was nice and considerate. There was no trouble and everyone got along. Some of us even got to go to the game with the tickets that came in the package. I enjoyed it to the fullest!!!

The Southern Hertiage Classic is a great event. Fred Jones and staff do a good job with promoting this event. We enjoy the Tom Joyner Morning Show and the great people who can out the show the SHC fans a good time on Friday mornings. This was a RV tailgating spot. It was a good location however I would like Ticketmaster to give the consumers the ability to select their spots manually to ensure that the consumer can get the same great section they have before if their would like it.

Usually I attend the football game only.  This year, I decided to attend more events.  First, the tailgate at the Liberty Bowl on Friday night.  The weather was perfect.  The police were actually their to protect and service.  I walked through Tiger Lane and watch: the men building fires in their assortment of grills the older women were sitting in groups talking and watching the children playing on the grass the young women were line dancing to the different music genres the lovers were congregating around the beautiful blue lit water fountain It was a peaceful night. I got up early Saturday morning and I took my grandsons to the Parade, the Battle of the Bands and the Football game. I didn't want to get up so early Saturday morning but the energy of the Orange Mound Parade got me moving.  My grandson's especially liked the majorettes, the candy, and the men from the Moolah Temple riding in their little cars.  Next was the Battle of the Bands in Whitehaven.  It was hot.  But all the bands were "good".  Lastly, the game.  I sat in the Jackson State section and cheered for Tennessee State.  (My family members graduated from both universities.)  We had a Great time!  I was exhausted Saturday night.  I woke up Sunday morning thinking how much money did I spend.  I really don't care because it was worth it. We had so much fun! 

The game was amazing!!! Great performance for both teams.

Haven't been to a Classic in years.....it was great to take my 13 tear old daughter to enjoy the experience.

The tailgate was so a great time. The people were great and the event was run well. The only problem again was parking. If you pay for a spot you should not have to pay to park twice.

SHC continues to be the best HBCU College Football sports event. Great family fun for all ages! The halftime performance of bands was the highlight of the Classic! City of Memphis was a great host. We enjoyed sightseeing and 5 stars dining! I attend this event every year and I am looking forward to 2017 Southern Heritage Classic! Don't miss out! Come join the party!

Melrose Class 88 experienced The Southern Heritage Tailgating event for the first time, and we enjoy every minute of it. From ordering our tickets to actually experiencing the atmospher. We are planning to return next year for the events.

The review is of this event is indeed amazing. Each year they take buses to the events from multiple colleges, surprising college football teams worldwide of events and games turn out guests visitor(s) ratings (4 to 5) stars**. _ Miller

The game, tailgating and halftime were all a part of the Southern Heritage Classic experience. We had a wonderful time.

Seats were great, just what I wanted. The event was awesome as always. I was so close that I could almost hear the play calling

I tailgate every year on Tigerlane and the only thing I wish they would change is that you get to pick the area your game tickets are in. It's a lot of money to purchase the tailgate package but it's really no thought give to where your tickets seat you and that needs to change.

I don't think we played well and calls where made to the best of our ability. We lacked a lot of poor coaching because I know we can play better than that. There is too much talent but it has to be coached.

The tailgate was amazing this year the only problems were price is too expensive, you get game tickets but if you paying 522.00 at least 4 t-shirt would be nice and one extra parking pass. The day of game the police started hassling people to leave. I thought you had till Sunday to move all of your stuff.

My wife and I enjoyed ourselves. The bands were great. They were battling one another. The game was awesome.

I did not remember how much talent kenny baby face Edmonds had he was amazing and everyone was singing along to all of his hits! He & Fantasia was a perfect combination

Babyface did his thang! I really enjoyed his performance. However, I was not that impressed with Fanatasia.

I went to the Southern Heritage Classic for the first time an I tell you I really enjoyed myself. The weather was great an the atmosphere was great. But thing I was not please with was that the bands didn't play much during the quarters. But the 5th quarter was great.

Had such a wonderful time with my sons we plan to go every year and make it a family tradition.

We had so much fun at the Southern Heritage Classic events. We tailgated and attended the game. Will book early again for next years game because we got great seats and a good tigerlane spot.

Best show I have seen in a long time. Jeffery Osborne and Stephanie Mills' voices are still flawless. The interaction with the audience and the their performances were awesome! I can't wait to see them on stage again. Amazing performance!

I enjoyed the classic - I had a great time - The game was great and the fans were too. So much excitement at the Liberty Bowl. The bands were awesome and the teams played good quality football. I hope to go again next year. The only problem I had was finding a parking place and getting caught in traffic. Other than that the total experience was worth it.

Do not miss. The BEST show in town. Stephanie was fantastic. Jefferey is so into his audience and fans. I never miss his shows

The game was competitive, enjoyed half time performance, very happy to hear that the event was renewed for another 8 years.

I would sit anywhere else any more. I loved the seats we had. Comfortable. Great view!

First time taking my teenagers. We throughly enjoyed ourselves.

Stephanie's performance was "Top Classed" and her band and backup made the total package. Jeffery, as always, was a man of memories. However, from previous concerts, I don't recall hearing him use so much profanity and express his political feelings with the audience. I enjoyed both shows and would attend again.

I don't know what was happening with the parking "company" on Saturday, but they were collecting the $20 parking fee from The public and then proceeded to direct the persons to park Anywhere on the lots!! I thought that The lots were for people that that purchased the tailgate packages at $152 each?? We were in lot 14 and had purchased 3 sets of the tailgate spaces at $152 each.. but we spent all day fighting to keep these spots for our guests that had the green stickers, because other people were being told at the gate by the parking company to just park anywhere!! We had to keep going to peopl and telling them that these spots had already been purchased!! The $20 parking is for the grassy lot across from the official tailgate spot. It was not nearly as enjoyable this year due to this madness! We have been tailgating out there for the last 15 years and have weathered numerous changes regarding the parking. We accepted the new tailgating changes implemented a few years ago that dramatically increased the price from $10 per spot to to the excessive amount that it is now, but we refuse to fight with other event patrons to park in spots that have already been paid for!!

My entire experience was awesome. My Family and I had an amazing time and we will definitely be back.

I was disappointed that the show started 45 minutes late yet ended before 11pm. Babyface and Fantasia both put on great performances but it was obvious that her set was shorten. I dislike the one exit option from the parking lot but i enjoy the size of the venue.

The venue was great!! The show was great!! It was everything I expected or anticipated it would be!! Landers Center was perfect setting. Not a bad seat in the facility!! Babyface was sooooo good!! Fantasia was awesome too!!! It was perfect!!!

Great show. Jay Lamont opened the show with a great set, then Stephanie sounded just as good as she ever did. last, but not Mr. Osborne did his thing.

All three performers were excellent and connected with the audience.

Babyface was great. A good mixture of the music and voice sound-wise. He sang complete songs, which I want to hear and did a fantastic job on the medley at the end. Fantansia did not sing enough of her songs. She could have left to gospel singing out. How can she shake her "booty" like she did one minute and then sing about loving Jesus the next. And many in the audience held a alcoholic drink in one hand and lifted up a so-called holy hand with the other. Let an R&B concert focus on the R&B.

Everything was WONDERFUL. Easy access in & out. Only downfall is nowhere did I read that u would have to pay $5 to park. That's a ripoff. U already paid for tickets. U will have to buy their food & drinks & still have to pay to park.

Fantasia is always a good performer. However, she really didn't do many of her own songs and her part of the show was too short!

He's 58(i think) but moves like he's still 21. He was so entertaining. He didn't sing his new hits like "exceptional" or "we've got love" but he sung alot of the older hits everyone knew. He even sang songs he wrote for other artist that became hits....Now Fantasia is kinda a hit or miss... she sung live, no lip singing. Ended taking us to church. Overall, her performance was good but just very short!

Jeffrey and Stephanie still have it going on! Old school is the S---! according to Jeffrey and he is so right! They set it out in Memphis Thursday night. Not to mention one of the best comedians to set foot on any stage, Jammin Jay Lamont did an excellent job as always. This is a show that I would love to see over and over again. This was my first time in the Orpheum Theater in Memphis. It is a beautiful venue. Though I had good viewing seats, the leg room was very cramped. I will be sure to choose different seating for my next event there. Other than that, the bathrooms were clean and the theater temperature was very comfortable. I will be going to more events there in the future. I am actually considering a membership now.

Babyface put on an amazing show. Had all of the ladies going wild. He went way back to the 80's and 90's doing some of his best hits along with a lot of hits he wrote for other performers. Fantasia seemed a little off. She did not perform near as long as Babyface which was a disappointing. I saw her when she was touring with Charlie Wilson and wanted to see her headline somewhere. Traveled from Little Rock just to see her and was a little let down.

The game was outstanding as usual. Wil attend next year.

The weather was perfect!! It wasn't too hot and it wasn't cold either. I had great seats an the halftime show was amazing. JSU lost but they will do better next year!

For me, the Southern Heritage Classic is like a family reunion on a major holiday. The food, people, and most definitely the Aristocrat of Bands and the Sonic Boom of the South will keep you coming back every year! I absolutely loved it!

I really enjoyed the game. This was the first game that I have ever attended. It was spectacular. Not only because TSU won, but just the atmosphere of the event. I was overjoyed. It was so much fun. I also attended both concerts on Thursday and Friday. The whole weekend was wonderful. Will attend next year hopefully with other friends, as I will spread the word.

Wow. Amazing event. Great to see people of color to come together for a positive purpose and for the common goal. Very disapointed however in the cell service. Many many people sis not have cell service. It was presumed that due to the number of people at the event service was blocked. I attended the inauguration of our African american president and had cell service. Really. I didn't understand this. Overall I am a supporter and will certainly be back next year.

I had a great time. Never had been and there is Nothing that can stand in the way of Me going next year can't wait..

Always great event and feeling of being secure. We always park in the same location each year and feel our vehicle will be safe. The tailgaters always put on a show and awesome food. The overall game is a time for alums to get together. i

It's great to experience great fellowship and share in the history of these two great universities. I commend the city of Memphis for a well organized and safe experience!

Went to game had good time tailgating and game, visiting Beale street and the different vendors the and eating at the blues cafe.

I was seated in the perfect spot were I could see everything an quick access to bathroom an concession but enjoyed everything had to walk a lengthily distance but needed da excercise anyway.Thanks

The tailgating experience was epic, everything was well organized.

Game was exciting and fun! There were a lot of people at this event. However no one was disgruntle.

The Southern Heritage Classic football game was big hit with My Family.

I paid for a tailgating spot of which, after arriving at the event, 4 cars from a corvette club were parked in my assigned spaces. I had no recourse - no one was available to enforce the rules. The parking attendant had no clue. Therefore, I paid a tailgating fee of $66 and got nothing. I had to ask/beg another group for one of their spaces.

Great game but Jackson State's band was a disappointment!

The event was very well organized. More thought needs to be put into the parking situation and traffic direction.

Love the seats, and the game was wonderful and the beer was really cold, corn dogs was good, and the tailgating was off the chain.

I had fun,but I missed the first quarter because the Linerty Bowl couldn't find my tickets. Make sure you have a confirmation number.

Every year I go to the Southern Heritage Classic, and it never seems to be a boring moment during the game. The fans are always excited and full of enthusiasm. I will be back again next year.

Very good event would recommend 100%. Will b attending every year if possible.

I was not pleased with the charging of the parking on friday night. It was operated like like game day on saturday. We had to pay $5 to park and had us parking all the way in the back of the field like we were going to the game. Last year we didn't have to pay on friday and we were able to park in the parking lots. Should be more about having fun than making money all the time
