Gary U.S. Bonds

I can't remember going to a show that was so much fun! This was a show I will never forget. He has such great energy and is still a great performer. The 'guests' were just amazing. Can't wait to see him again

Gary always does a great job in performance. He knows how to entertain the crowd and his personality is always good. His band always rocks. He does music from the '60's to the present. Good stuff! j.j. east orange, nj, usa

Always a great time with Gary, his family, and co-workers. They put on an exciting show-they love what they do! Gary's wife was a very pleasant surprise singing a Shirelles hit song! Also, his daughter cranked it up singing "Da Doo Run Run" !

Gary US Bonds did not perform the whole show, we felt like they were really showcasing a bunch of women from NJ who were talented but not our cup of tea. The music was all over the place in terms of style. If it weren't for Gene Cornish appearing towards the end doing a Rascals song the whole show would have been a bust, we left before the show ended.

"Gary US Bonds and his Roadhouse Rockers ROCKED the house again! I was especially pleased when he sang "Not Me". I believe this was his first record entry (1959), only to be 'knocked down' by the industry because of the 'raunchy' lyrics ("punch you in your lip")-----IMAGINE THAT!!!!! LOL " "At 76 years old, Gary is blessed to have a very decent vocal range-and I LOVE it! His infectious attitude and memorable testimonials about himself and his crew are delightful!! "

Had a fun rockin night at the Wonder Bar. Gary and his band were just terrific and they had everyone up singing and dancing and just having a memorable time. Would go see them again if given the opportunity. The Eddie Tesla Band opened for GUSB and they were full throttle rock. Great night.

We waited on line to get in at 6:30 PM and the doors were opening at 7:00. Although we knew that we were going to be there for several hours before the show began, it was worth going early in order to get seats at the bar. (The balance was standing room only). The opening act was Eddie Testa. This band was incredible and set the tone for the "Jersey Shore sound", playing songs from Springsteen, Southside Johnny, and John Cafferty and The Beaver Brown Band. Then around 10:00PM, Gary and band took to the stage. Gary is just amazing. The band consisted of all spectacular players as well, including one of my favorite sax players of all times - Joey Stann. Much to my surprise, Gary's wife and daughter were the female backup singers. They were also great, and the harmonies were right on! Then somewhere in the middle of the show, someone walked out a sheet cake as it was Gary's 76th birthday - who would know - with his energy and performance level (usually when performers hit that age, they are phoning it in, but not this guy)!!! I would have to say that I wouldn't miss him when he comes back to the area. It was one of the better shows that we have seen in a very long time.

Been going to this show four years in a row. Always a good show. Gary still has it and the guests were great.

John Eddie was great. Even if you are unfamiliar with his work, his songs were clever and cross all genres. His stories were entertaining as well. Only wished he played longer. Gary US Bonds is a living legend. Every song was a hit. His stories were not only entertaining, but interesting. If you are a Springsteen fan, this show would have been a top ten concert.

What a great show! Gary & the US Bonds still have it after all these years. We had great seats and enjoyed the show emensly. We love the venue at Bergen PAC.

Gary US Bonds 5th Annual Birthday bash was unbelievable. He puts on a show you won't forget. Not only does he play for you, he plays to you. Than his friends showed up & perfomed with him. From Philadelphia the Skeeter, Chubby Checker, Dee Dee Sharp, & Jerseys own SouthSide Johnny. From the 60's to the Present what can you ask for. Also you can't forgot Gary bringing out Daddy G who played on alot of Gary's early stuff. Than following the show Gary came out & greeted his fans & signed autographs. One of the best shows you'll want to see.

I thought he put on a tremendously entertaining & fabulous performance. The crowd went wild with each song. The Surf Club was a great venue for him, & for his music.

I've seen Gary many times over the years and he never fails to deliver a great night of rock n roll. Even though his set list doesn't change much, his infectious enthusiasm, great showmanship and superb backing band always make for a great night. He's so great that I want to book him for my funeral service. He'll get the mourners in such a good mood that they'll forget the sadness of my passing and just have a good time.

It's always amazing when a rock and roll legend brings the house down, and Gary US Bonds & the Roadhouse Rockers did just that on Saturday night. Celebrating his 73rd birthday, Gary was better than performers half his age, his voice as powerful as ever. With special guests the Soul Survivors (Expressway to Your Heart), Lala Brooks (original lead vocalist of the Crystals), and guitarist extraordinaire Bobby Bandiera (Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes & Bon Jovi), Gary rocked the packed house for 2 1/2 hrs. Performing songs like the Springsteen-penned Jole Blon, Out of Work, & This Little Girl is Mine, along with his classics New Orleans and Quarter to Three, Gary had a blast and the audience loved every minute of it. Gary US Bonds is rock royalty...go check him out!

Great show and a great Venue. I have been to the other Birthday shows and I haven't been disappointed.

What a great night! Gary & company were Superb! A very enjoyable show that I would highly recommend.

If you love Rock "n" Roll & Soul Music you would enjoy Gary US Bonds. He had his own style of music in the 60's & with the help of Bruce Springsteen he came back in the 80's. Thirty years later Gary is still Rocking. His Birthday Show was Awesome. To have Southside Johnny join him on Stage plus others was Amazing. He performed the entire Dedication album from thirty ago which included "This Little Girl" plus others. As Gary said one of his favorites was Daddy's Come Home from the Album. Well from Beginning to End all I can say is GARY HAS COME HOME.

Concert was absolute the BEST!!! So glad to see Joe and the Houserockers rockin again! Exciting to have seen Gary US Bonds--still is lookin and soundin great just like he used to. Was happy to see Billy Price again too -- another Pittsburgh Great! Just thoroughly enjoyed all the wonderfully talented artists that devoted their time and talents to a great cause. Thanks Joe, you did a great job putting this all together.

This show rocked. Joe Grushecky and the Houserockers put together a wonderful group of talented artists for a good cause. I hope they raised a bunch of money. Can not wait for next years show.
