Four Bitchin' Babes

What a great concert! Four excellent singer-songwriters sharing the stage with their stories and songs. My only complaint is that I would have loved for the show to go on longer. I'll definitely be buying tickets the next time the "Four Bitchin' Babes" are back.

...is high-class, low crap, and that's a pretty good summary of the show. Pretty good description of the music, too. The Babes can sing and play. You haven't heard excellent singing like this since the Hootenanny days, with songs that poke fun at all the things that drive us crazy. Particularly liked the plea to new parents. The Babes even brought me up on stage, because I'm a New Age Sensitive Guy.

First the venue needs to put more speakers in. If you sit on the side you cannot hear well. Second, the babes were funny at times but then other parts like the reading was boring. Third, the food was decent but the wait staff kept coming by when trying to listen to show. This disruption distracted from the show.

The first time I had seen this group and completely enjoyed the entire show. Extremely talented group and very engaging on the stage - made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. Although their show may be perceived as content more appropriate for a female audience, I found it hysterical and enjoyable from a male's perspective.

Went with a group of 5 women. We had a lot of fun and identified with the lyrics in the songs. A very enjoyable evening!

Most of the songs were kind of sappy. My two companions left early; I stayed until the end. It was worth it to hear Megon Mcdonough sing Patsy Cline. Most of the songs were maudlin. Deidre didn't have the greatest voice but I love her wit and creativity.

Terrific! All that talent on one stage. This is the third time I have seen this act and they always leave me anticipating the next time.

I think that this cabaret show should be seen by all who have a sense of humor about themselves and life.

I've been going to see the 4 Bitchin Babes since they started appearing at the Birchmere. Each one is an amazingly talented performer, and when they get together magic happens. Ranging from poignant to hilarious, their material is unforgettable. They never fail to bring down the (always packed) house. Don't miss them!

The ticket price was high for the amount of entertainment. They talked a lot between songs. It didn't seem like they actually ended up performing many numbers.

The show was wonderful, each member of the group put their own spin on different songs, the talent of each lady was incredible. Loved all the funny songs, very entertaining.

This was my second time seeing these ladies and this time was just as funny and wonderful as the first! The staff at the Genesee Theatre are extremely helpful and nice!

I absolutely loved the show. Saw them before and I'll see them again if I can. They have a multi-talented group that sing, play guitar, piano and Irish drum. Great voices for all of them but has like an "operatic voice" . Songs range from silly, funny, heartfelt, .. They have a song for every aspect of a woman's life. Go see them. You won't regret it.

So much fun. Good laughs, a few tears. Great music. They do a superb show.

Talented and funny, they put on a marvelous show. I liked just about all the songs and bough a couple of CDs. I'd go see them again for sure!

The Babes were babealicious! The harmony, the originality and those beautiful voices were better than ever. Happy 25th anniversary!

Really enjoyed the Babes' voices, music, & antics. Their songwriting is fabulous. Can't wait to see them again.

I came expecting humor, and that was served up in abundance. But I wasn't expecting such amazing musical talent. These four women not only sounded incredible in tight four-part harmony but as each one performed a solo it was clear each could headline their own show. And it was not just their voices, their skill on guitar, bass, grand piano and even Irish drum was extraordinary! Every song was original, clever, self-revealing and fun! I had a blast!

I saw this on Friday night and then went to the High School play of Young Frankenstein on Sat. night - the high school play was so much better (for $10) than the * Babes for $38. I was expecting more for that price. As I said, it was just OK, but it was way over priced and wouldn't attend it again, even for free.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I purchased tickets for myself and four friends from college. The entire show was very entertaining and all four "Babes" were unbelievably talented from their singing, song writing, and ability to play multiple instruments with ease. A lot of great comical songs and interactions as well as beautifully performed individual pieces.

Fantastically funny and entertaining!! My friends and I laughed and laughed. My one suggestions would be to take out the couple slow songs. Not that they were bad songs, it just brought the energy down and didn't go with the show. People can get those songs by purchasing CDs.

This is one of the more enjoyable events I have attended in years. In addition to great music, these are four of the funniest women to hit the stage. They only come here every two years. Bummer...Go see them if you have a chance. We laughed our ... off the entire evening. And great music to boot.

Really enjoyed the Bitchin' Babes in Columbus, hometown to one of them! Maybe that's why the show was so good, but I'll bet they say that to all the towns. As usual, their selections were right on target for us more experienced women! So clever! Keep up the good work, Babes. See you in 2016!

Great balance among the ladies. Not sure they would be as entertaining to 22 year olds but for an older generation it was great.

What a great way to spend an evening. So much fun and wonderful music. Will definitely plan to catch this group again. Highly recommend!

Great new stuff, and they finished with the memorable "Viagra in the Water" song. The ladies sound as good as ever, and their music has matured as their families and lives have progressed.

OMG! I laughed and laughed. These women are fantastic. I only wish the show lasted another two hours! So So So clever. And their voices. Just amazing. It really looks like they have a blast up there and that they respect and love eachother too which makes the whole experience satisfying and the makes the audience feel connected. I loved the serious song too about Thanksgiving dinner. Touched me deeply. Would love to see them whenever they come back!!! And will bring many friends!

Wonderful evening with the Babes! It was my first time seeing them and it was totally enjoyable.

I first heard them back in '93 on the radio in East Bay, and then acouple times a day on the Reno stations, Minnesota Radio wasn't ready yet, still not, and how did the thearter get so full with no ads out or so, now the word is out for them, I found out when I was U-tubeing a link to a friend on the Vagria song. While I don't think my daughter would have enjoyed the show I know my girlfriends and I had many tears of laughter! There were few men in the audience and I am not sure how they enjoyed the show... but it would have made for a fun ride home afterwards

Some really funny stuff & the ladies are great musicians but expected something different than what I got. Not sure I would've gone if I'd known more about the show.

Absolutely amazing and so-so entertaining. If you need a good belly laugh that lasts for a couple of hours, this is the show to see. Don't miss it.

My husband and I attended this concert not ever having heard of the group. I purchased the tickets based on the title of the event. It sounded like it would be an evening of fun and laughter and we were not wrong. From the first song they sang, we were both 'hooked!' The lyrics had us laughing and crying as we could relate to what they sang about. I would recommend this concert to anyone and will definitely get tickets next time they come to the area.

Fabulous show! The individual and collective talent is outstanding. Weaving in intelligent comedy is brilliant. I and my friends would go again in a heartbeat.

These ladies are very talented. These ladies musically told stories of our everyday life that all women can relate to. Great value - the show was over 2 hours.

This was a good show if you expected calm and fun but I was expecting it to be funnier, edgier and maybe even a bit more obnoxious in references to female hormones and life experiences.

We had four of us girls that went to this event and EVERYONE of us thought it was FABULOUS! We had such a GREAT time and enjoyed every minute! We would go again and highly recommend it!! Thanks so much!

Jingle Babes is a refreshing take on the diversity of holiday celebrations, presented with a perfect balance between tradition and humor. Sincerely hoping this special set of shows becomes an annual program and generates a holiday CD!!

Wonderful! Humor, holidays, and harmony. I really loved the comedy and the upbeat numbers.

Well, I have to say that my expectations were pretty high for a group with this name. While the members of this band were fairly talented and had a good time on stage, the show didn't contain the pizzaz that I expected (based on the name of the group). The Carolina Theater is a wonderful venue and the customer service was great. I felt like the sound may have been cranked up a bit too high...unless you were of the older generation and forgot your hearing aids. Then it was probably just right. In summary, while it was kind of unique, it wasn't worth the $.

Did not think it was funny or amusing. Would not recommend it

They were very entertaining overall. I was put off by the numerous references to the DVDs for sale in the lobby. I would think at the beginning and near the end would be ample mention of their for-sale items.

I loved it! I laughed so hard I cried off my make up. Totally can relate to the songs! Amazing talent! Cant wait until they come back again! You dont want to miss out on their next performance!

The show was on a Sunday evening, which was great for no traffic in downtown Columbus. Helpful event staff and great seats. Show was funny, but there were some songs that I almost fell asleep through. The ladies were just not that exciting.

We always have fun at the Birchmere! The "Four Bitchin' Babes" had us laughing and were very well received by what appeared to be a large local following.

For those Babeutantes who haven't seen this group perform, come see a wonderfully funny show. For devoted Babes fans, all kinds of brand new songs, funny and more serious, laughter producing and tear jerking. Don't miss this new show. A new CD can't be far behind! Okay, okay, I get it...I'm middle aged and there are a few funny things to be said about that. This got old fast. I enjoyed the first number the best - BECAUSE it was the first number. After that, I felt it was all too much of the same thing. I did enjoy the little bit of Italian opera from one of the women - I could have listened to that all night.

Outstanding venue, fabulous performance!!! OK, have to say more. These ladies are incredible - outstanding real-life stories set to music and infused with impeccable comedic timing. Yes the stories are mostly related to what a woman goes through, from having a child/family, learning to let go, learning to bounce back, dealing with hot flashes and aging gracefully, but men, don't be afraid to go - there is something in every show for their "Man Babes" too!! Don't miss them if they come to your area. Very personable women who graciously meet their fans after each show - a rarity in today's age that you can get that up close and personal with your favorite artists. Being a part of a group that has been touring 20 years in various iterations is a testament to the talent of these women and their ability to understand that life will provide the laughs all on its own if we would only stop Bitchin' long enough to see the humor in even some of the worst things!! Thank you Christine Lavin for starting such a wonderful group and thank you Sally, Debi, Nancy & Deirdre for preserving and perpetuating that vision!!

I had heard their first CD, Hormonal Imbalance, so I was looking forward to seeing the Four "B***tchin' Babes live. I was not disappointed. From the first act to the encore, I smiled, laughed, reminisced and left the Birchmere with a grin from ear to ear. If you have the opportunity..GO..you will not be disappointed. The audience was primarily women, but I went with my husband and sat with another couple. The men laughed too and looked like all the men there were enjoying the jokes and satire. Next time the "Babes" come to town I will have to go both nights...once with my husband and the other night for a "girls night out"! I hope they come back soon.

As one of the few males in the audience, I must say these four ladies were hilarious! And great voices too!

A great night out with friends made even better by the group. They are multi-talented, funny, and highly entertaining...I haven't laughed that hard in ages. I highly recommend spending a night with the Babes...

My husband & I took our 24-year old daughter & her husband to see the Bitchin' Babes, and everyone in our gropu thought they were absolutely amazing & "awesome"! (as I knew they would be) - something for everyone. Terrific humor & fabulous song-writing & Sally on the piano & Debi on the boudran drum - as always - WOW!!
