I loved the show, but as I keep saying at all the concerts, why can't you put on a show with only Freestyle artists, there are certainly enough of them. Have a separate Old School concert.

First...the DJ was just ok..not off the charts great.. Lots of time in between each performer and then a half hour intermission. Sound system could've been better. Our seats were in the first section right by the stage and still couldn't always understand what the acts were saying. If I didn't love this music I wouldn't tell someone else to go.... Maybe ticketmaster needs to lower the prices because the event was only half way full. Over all I enjoyed the show.

I don't know if I should blame the venue itself but I got in the door by 8PM which was supposed to be the start of the show and Rob Base was like finishing out his set with It takes 2 by the time I got to my seat. Perhaps the Santander Arena needs to install Metal Detectors that you walk through or what TSA use at Airports, because the individual wand on every single person thru the door was a major hold up and I practically missed the one dude I really wanted to see at this show. After a very tight Rob Base came Biz Markie, a dude famous for the song "Just a friend" when he was beat boxing he was cool, the few other raps he did were just as cool, but attempting to sing..Bro ! Hang it up..If you are trying to be funny..OK but he was trying to be legit and it was awful. Also too much boasting to the audience. After the Biz, 2 DJ's came out and did 20 Min Throw Down. Which was cool but as a fellow patron remarked I didn't spend good money to see a DJ Scratch throw down..what was meant to ramp up the crowd for the headliners got to be Boring, Until Local Boy DJ Johnny V from Reading and currently at Power 99 FM got some girls to come up onstage and do a percolator dance off. Apparently Naughty by Nature and Salt N Peppa weren't in the house till 9 PM. When Naughty by Nature came out they were tight, they played with the crowd, Treach took his shirt off to show off his abs and shared his drink with someone on their birthday. They played some new stuff, they did other peoples material, they did an ode to lost heroes of Hip Hop and they played their hits..Seriously I'd make a point to see these guys solo. They still got it 25 years later. After them Salt N Peppa..Surprisingly people actually left before they came out. They boasted too much, changed their lyrics, changed the tempos of some songs, and Spinderella did a DJ solo of Guns and Rose & Nirvana which seemed oft putting for a Old School Hip Hop show. They ended their set with a Kirk Franklin rap Gospel.

Rob Base only did like 2 songs, and then Biz Markie took the stage. I was waiting for some beat boxing and instead he mumble a lot of words that no one could understand. He did "just a friend" but also covered Michael Jackson which sounded more like a mockery than a tribute. The man just needs to retire or beat box from a studio somewhere. Naughty by Nature were energetic as were Salt N Pepa. Both kicked it old school little and did some covers, or as I should say, we had a sing along to some old school stuff. The DJ from Power 99 FM was one of the best features. Great music and great crowd hype. Even some fun crowd participation.

Naughty by Nature had the crowd turnt up! The only problem my brother and I had was that there were 4 different DJs and they all played the same songs.
