Enjoyed the J. T. Holmes vignette most. Miller films, as usual, on the cutting edge. I miss Warren, that voice, and attitude.

I don't even ski, and you could tell the audience was full of skiers, but it made me want to start. The film audience is like a community, and it's really cool that this has been a yearly event for so many years. I enjoyed watching the film and the unique places they were skiing. I would love to do this again next year.

I enjoyed every second of the event. The sounds was great and the picture quality was perfect. The event staff were very nice and helpful, and the Warren Miller staff was very entertaining. Im not sure why they didn't give away the 1st and 2nd place raffle prize at the event.. but whatever.

Warren Miller continues to excel - great video, extreme sports, great music - but this is last time i will see something like this at McCaw hall. I forgot last year how bad the sound system was and this year as soon as the movie started i was disgusted that such a good venue has such a crappy sound.

Movie was fine, but the audio at McCaw was awful. Way too loud and speech was unintelligible. I've been to other performances here with no issues, but this was really unacceptable, especially since this wasn't an inexpensive event. Won't be going next time - we'll just watch at home.

WMTTR was a great diversion from movies past. It did not focus on cliff jumping, snowboarding. Breakdown in our view was 70% skiing and 30% boarding which is more audience friendly in my opinion. Great filmed scenes in great far away places was perfect. Bringing into play athletes like Ted Ligety and Julia Mancuso provides credibility still. We as former racers would love to see some racing given you're including racing athletes in the movie. A fun departure would be to see them as you portrayed them in the free ride setting, but, then juxtapose that with their world setting of competition. Especially since this is an Olympic year. I guess that's a missed one though. There were some boner scenes like the ninja fight scene with the chevy stolen corvette...what was that about? It's a great way to kick off the year.

The venue was great and so was the reception. The movie started off really awesome with Tommy Moe and the Tordrillo Mt. Lodge. I also liked the segment in MT. with a homage to Scott Schmidt. Then everything went bad, very bad with Ted Ligety visiting Greenland to make a political statement about Global Warming, now called climate change. Warren Miller Entertainment completely blew it by not sticking to making a ski movie. I left at intermission, I don't appreciate paying for 4 tickets only to have a political agenda intertwined with my entertainment choice. I came to see a ski movie and that is all.

Don't get me wrong, the Warren Miller film did not disappoint. However, it felt like the 20 minutes leading up to the start of the film and an intermission (what? yes an intermission) that was full of time-share marketing were too much. Seriously I paid $120 for 4 tickets and get commercials... Not going to this event again.

Warren Miller movie events are all about commerce these days. The movie was mediocre. Had some good scenes but with too much of the same. The sound was pretty bad on top of all. Save your $s.

I went to my first WM film in about 1988. I have enjoyed all of them yet the quality has gone down, in my opinion, due to lack of WM himself and commercialization toward a mass audience, some which are being introduced to skiing rather than already passionate about it. The use of skiing pros often felt awkward when it seemed apparent that their outing was highly staged that the pros did not know or care much for each other. If you crave light n deep powder, steep and narrow lines... More extreme skiing, there are better movie options out there though they are rarely at a big venue.

Always fun to watch skiing to help get you stoked for the upcoming season but this film lacked the wow factor that Warren Miller made famous.

I have seen much better WM films than this. The footage was pretty good, did not really connect with the movie as I have in the past. The featured athletes were not my favorites.. especially the last sequence. It was just strange. And the golden ticket / ninjas.. very strange. Also, there were not as many sponsors at the event this year to engage me. I remember last year there was an instagram contest photobooth and also a video interview contest.

Gone is the humor and charm. This film is loud and full of slow motion ski turns (way too many) to appeal to a different ski culture.

Overall, very boring film that's not worth watching, especially for $30. They go to exotic locations with beautiful scenery but the snow they're skiing on sucks, didn't get me excited for the season. Very disappointing.

The films are always epic, they are what kicks off the ski season. I always get pumped on the way to the show. I love talking to all the reps and riders from the show and meeting new people. Most of all I love being apart of this community of people of old and young where age doesn't matter, because we all feel like children on the mountain. We all experience that indescribable euphoria you get when you are just floating on that face of eternal bliss and ending that fresh line with a huge smile on your face ready to take the next line! The show always inspires me to take my riding to the next level. I've been head over heals in love with the mountains since the beginning at age 3, and I know it will always be a part of who I am because its in my blood:D whoohoo have a great season everyone. Much love. - KLovely

As usual, the Warren Miller movie is an excellent way to mark the beginning of our snow (ski/snowboard) season.

Watching a Warren Miller is just the thing to get you ready for the ski season! Amazing shots, killer moves and a great soundtrack. Palace theatre is a perfect venue and the crowd is always a fun bunch. The only disappointment was the sound system. To much treble and no surround sound. Sounded like listening to a 80s boom box in a garage with a metal door.

Warren Miller will forever be the opening day of the ski season. The venue had incredible sound and view of the stage. The experience was electrifying and I can't wait for the next one! Purchased through Ticketmaster; waited a while on hold but was able to order the tickets for will call the night before in less than 3 minutes.

Worst WM film ever. Some decent skiing but way to much stupid stuff like bouncing skis off buildings or brick walls. Three women featured in the film. You are kidding me, right? The guys making these films must be smoking way too much to make anything coherent and entertaining. The sponsors free stuff is the only draw now.

Too much talk and not enough extreme. They need to get rid of half of the skits and show more powder.

For parents with children that are younger than teenagers, this event gets to be a little late. I would recommend Warren Miller include a matinee or earlier start time on Saturday.

Hadn't seen a Warren Miller for four years and officially this will be the last. Very disappointed, I am sure it will appeal to some but not the likes of me. The traditional Warren Miller opening narrative is gone...huge disappointment, seems like Warren Miller was gone as well. I hear a rumur he was out, but have not clarified. The first half of the movie was ex-olympic ski racers talking about how cool they and their friends are and doing sweet GS turns down a steep mountain face, living the uber privileged life growing up in well to do Aspen / Vail families. Very corporate, first half very boring. The last half was pretty decent, lots of powder, free riding and lesser known riders rippin it up. If it wasn't for the first half this would have been an decent show. We will see what TGR dishes up for the fall, hopefully they have remained true.
