Divas Simply Singing

Wow...there were lots of great moments, although initially I was disappointed that we (the non stars) were made to sit up stairs. I thought my VIP purchase placed me in the seat shown on the seating chart. BUT...overall it wasn't too bad. ALSO, the participants need to play to the balcony ...look up every now and then to let us know you knew we were there!

I really enjoyed myself. I have coming to the since last year and I simply love it. This show I will come again and i told everyone That is was FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!

Chaotic. Unplanned. Unprofessional. 50 minutes late. Almost 4.5 hours of mostly filler. Some of the headliner artists were very good including Maysa, Sarah Dash and the Urban Guerilla Orchestra.

Great show. Great cause. Not so great venue. Even though I was in the first row of the balcony (tables on the floor level were not for sale), you completely loose the energy of the performaces sitting that high up and far removed. Hopefully they'll move back to a regular theatre next year.

I was amazed that they allowed El Debarge to appear High! He was high as a kite and I did not appreciate speading my money to see a performer loaded.

I absolutely loved this show!!! Sheryl Lee Ralph went all out and got the most spectacular singers for the show. Arielle Jacobs was of course my favorite singing the song Breathe from In The Heights. Chaka Khan was spectacular and Tracie Thoms made a surprise appearance. The money from the show goes towards a great charity and benefits women with HIV/AIDS. It is a show that I will be going to for years. I am greatly looking forward to next year.

Our evening of enjoyment with the Divas Simply Singing will be a lasting memory and we really appreciate Sheryl Lee Ralph's vision and caring for the community of those fighting to find a cure for HIV/AIDS.May all the Diva's and support staff be blessed for their efforts.

The show was very slow. I actually fell asleep throughout it. The songs were very depressing that were sung by the entertainerd.

It was a lovely event - great entertainment with a purpose. Many of the performers were incredible. My favorites included Rashan Patterson, Loretta Devine, Chaka Khan, Teena Marie, Kelly Price, Jody Watley, Ledisi, Arielle Jacobs, and Maia. It was the right length, closed on time, the MCs were upbeat and funny. Overall, it was a very uplifting night.The heartfelt sharing by those working for the AIDS organizations or living with the disease also kept things poignant.
